As a new member, I couldn't be happier with Ladies Choice Fitness Center. If I could leave less than one star I would. These people shut down the pool because they had a floater in it. I got grossed out stop going to the gym there and they told me that I I did not have a membership with them and that I was free to join another gym. This was months ago, and they are still billing me. The employees do not care they’re ruining this business. I feel sorry for the owner. I call and tried to work it out but she got mad because I told her I needed validation that she understood what I was saying. She did not offer to fix the problem.

Lisa was so helpful with all my questions! I could not wait to complete sign up. What a great facility- truth be told the outside looked very sketch but the inside was a GYM! ( SEE WHAT I DID THERE)

It's been a while since I last used this gym but when I was there they had an excellent variety of areas such as an indoor pool for water aerobics, classes of many types, and weights for a self-paced person or personal trainers for a guided exercise plan.

I did use a trainer. The trainer worked for a company that is not part of the gym but works in cooperation with the gym. She was excellent.

The gym itself was quite reasonable for a monthly membership.

Update: Not really for the working-mom. Not job friendly. It’s such a great gym otherwise 😔 but they close way too early. By the time I get off and get my kids homework and other stuff done and have some time to get out, they’re already closed. Worse thing is, I can’t cancel the membership and work across the town from the gym as well so it’s not a place I can “drop in” before work either. I guess it’s my own fault for not double checking the hours. Daycare hours are poorly planned as well. They are also set up for the group of stay at home moms or those working non-regular shifts. Closed by 7pm Friday- the day most kids don’t have homework and we can finally get out. And only open mid day on saturdays.

Not worth the $40 membership and yearly renewal costs

Love the wet and dry sauna.
Their morning classes look like so much fun and everyone is enjoying themselves. Plenty of machines to use and now wait. Daycare is included in the $40 membership.
The pool is small for actual lap swimming but great to have none the less.

These wonderful ladies have saved my life! Since getting down with them on August 19, 2022, I have lost 17 pounds, many inches, and rode my horse to a blue ribbon 2weeks ago! Joined when I worked in that area. Now I work in a different location & was not able to get out of contract. Their online classes were via Zoom, but there was not a password replay option for those of us that work during the times the classes took place. My contract will soon end, & I will never sign a contract with a gym again. There are too many better choices.

Great gym, everyone is so nice, but I just wish the hours were better it would be nice if it was open later everyday of the week and also open on Sundays. I wont be renewing my membership because I can never go due to my schedule. Also hot tub and pool was a big reason for me to join, but it closes 30 minutes before close. It would be nice to be open like 6am-midnight every day of the week. 🙂

Their advertising is extremely misleading. $19.99 per month No Contract posted everywhere. What they don't disclose is the $75 enrollment fee. Called to inquire and suddenly I was getting all sorts of different rates thrown out, most of which made no sense. The website also reads: "Our classes are each a full hour long and are included in your membership" but I was informed classes are an extra $5 per month, and the pool/whirlpool is this...and on and on. I think this falls under the category of marketing scam. Hmmm.....

Unfortunately had to cancel my membership due to moving out of state. I was assured by the front desk I would no longer be charged. Come a week later, SURPRISE! A charge to my account they “can’t help”. Outdated machines, not at all following any COVID practices. Employees are hardly at the front desk. Overall terrible experience.

Excellent fitness center. I am fortunate enough to have a great trainer - Faith. Faith has been instrumental in helping to strive for a healthier body, mind, and soul. She is committed to help me obtain overall wellness. Recently, I shared with faith that my treadmill at home stopped working. She connected me with co-owner Darby. Darby contacted me and with his expertise and willingness to assist me, I was back on my treadmill in short order. I appreciate how much the staff and owners care about their clientele. The environment is very friendly and inviting. Everyone cheers on and provides encouragement to each other.

My mom and I go here almost everyday. They have an amazing staff, and good equipment. There's everything you could want here, including a pool, jacuzzi and sauna. They have shower faculties, lockers and soo many classes to choose from. We have a personal trainer and we love her! Cathy is the best! She pushes us but not more then we can handle. The staff cares about you and it shows! Would definitely recommend this to any lady who wants a fun, safe, judgment free zone to work out in.

Hi my name is Sarah and wanted to let everyone know that with the help of trainer, Christiana I went down 12 points on my blood sugar. Christiana helped me learn the proper form in order to use the machines at Ladies Choice correctly. She also showed me some really great exercises and wrote down my exercise routines so I could get the most out of my time in the gym. The only reason I gave 4 stars as I would like to see the bars, free weights and some of the steps we use for class replaced. I put in a request last week so hopeful in the near future we can get some new items.

Here's an update on my review of four stars I posted a month ago:

I am a member since 2012. I must say this gym “Ladies Choice” is by far the best. I’m not kidding ..”Ladies Choice” the best.
State of the art exercise equipment. A big dance floor to do arobics, Zumba ..dance exercises. There is a pool ..yes, a pool to do water exercises. Clean lockers area ..clean showers. A steam room. A sauna. You have to come by and see all the more there is here ..
Oh, and I have to tell you there is a Kid’s Room where your children can stay while you exercise. My granddaughters love it.

Women's only fitness facility. The staff is great. New fitness
equipment. Staff is always willing to help you safely use machines. Closed on Sundays. Had an issues with my renewal, but it was promptly resolved. Any free months given when you refer friends is added when you renew membership. That was not made clear when I had friends join.

They are crooks. I moved to Florida and showed them a electric bill with my name and new address and they would not cancel my service. Told me I would have to pay for another month and wait for them to receive it to cancel service. But they would not be giving back the extra month. Girl at the counter was rude . The people were friendly and the concerned with my safety. The pool area and locker rooms r clean and nicely decorated, and I know clean because I own a cleaning business. Ladies, there is no group fitness room in this club. Ive found that the members are very friendly. There is a Zumba instructor who is rock. I guess that she is over 55s, could be around 60s. I love her happy smiling face while she is dancing. She has creative moves and routines. She is much better many younger ones. You are the master in Charleston!!! I give this club three stars because they got a great zumba instructor. The center provides minimum facilities.

Yes some of the machines are out dated but the people and atmosphere is so welcoming that I love working out there. If you are signing any contract you should always read the WHOLE thing before signing. Often times there are stipulations about cancellations in all Gyms. READ the small print carefully.
