This place is a gem!

Jordan, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. I probably ask him 20 questions each time I see him, and he patiently explains the science behind movements yet also breaks it down to where it's easy to understand. I already loved Olympic weightlifting, but love it even more now after I have started coming here. If you're looking for a great gym with top-knotch coaching, look no further!

Incredible value, great well equipped gym, friendly people. Everything you could ask for! And from experience, quality coaching for all levels including beginners like myself.

I started at Lowcountry Barbell Club after burning out a bit on CrossFit and wanting (needing) to try something new. I was nervous about focusing on olympic weightlifting because of an old shoulder injury that had prevented me from getting any sort of weight overhead in a snatch width grip for years. But the team at LBC has been able to not only help gradually and safely strengthen that shoulder, but build confidence around all lifts through careful and attentive programming and coaching.

Lowcountry Barbell has fostered an environment build for success. Personalized planning and a great gym environment are hard to come by in regards to weightlifting. Jordan's knowledge spans beyond traditional weightlifting and into powerlifting, crossfit style and personal fitness goals. The entire gym is very supportive and welcoming. The atmosphere is addictive and I would highly recommend this gym to anyone. Furthermore, Jordan excels at training through injuries and rough schedules. The coaching staff is an extension of Jordan and able to step up. The gym has even added 24/7 access which allows me to train in accordance with my schedule. I would recommend to anyone interested in improving their life in regards to fitness. There are national medalist and beginners at Lowcountry Barbell and each member is treated with the same care and attention.

Joining this gym has been one of the best decisions of my life. Everyone makes you feel very welcome regardless of your weightlifting background or current fitness level. The workouts are tailored to fit your needs, and the coaching is individualized and personal. Jordan has put a ton of work into the facility, the programming, and coaching - and it pays off in big ways. In just two months of intro work I met or exceeded all my personal records in the lifts, even from back when I was a college athlete. The crazy thing is that this is not a rare occurrence! Everyone is constantly improving and hitting big numbers.

I've had many gym and coaching experiences in my life, and I can confidently say that Lowcountry Barbell has been the most positive one. Here, I feel pushed to become better and do more without being told that I have to be less in some other area. It's a really rare thing, in my experience, to have someone lift you up without bringing you down. I've gained a lot of confidence in all areas of my life because of what I'm doing in the gym. I highly recommend trying it out!

I did CrossFit for about 6 years. Almost 2 years ago I switched it out to Olympic weightlifting and recently joined @lowcountrybarbell in April. I was stuck at 115Ibs on my clean and jerks for as long as I can remember. After having my final baby I decided to really commit and worked on all my weaknesses (core especially). With the help of Jordan I was finally able to break that 115 to 132Ibs. I couldn’t be happier ❤️🙌

Initially came to the barbell club for a short time to solve some form issues, but joined after I experienced the professionalism and care of the trainers. Within half a year, my squat max increased by 55 kg, and my deadlift by 77 kg.
One of the best aspects of the club is the inclusive, team-oriented atmosphere - different ages, sizes, lifting experience, but all supporting one another. This place will change your idea of what your workout and gym should be.

For the last 2 years I have been working with Coach Jordan at Low Country Barbell. In that time I have gone from being new to the world of fitness with zero gym experience, to a strong, confident, and competitive athlete.
