If you are looking to join a gym or re-join this gym, now is the time to do it here! As a member since the Golds Gym days, I can say that this gym has never been better. It was a good gym before but now it is a great gym and I believe that is thanks to the current manager. Paul has truly put the love and attention this gym needed to become great. With new treadmills, fresh free weights, a whole new room with new equipment, and even stylistic updates to the gym and bathrooms this gym has everything you need. As with most gyms, it can be busy at times but the members are friendly here and this gym has plenty of machines and space to do everything you need to get a good workout in. No intimidation! The staff are very engaging with the members and always smiling and greeting you on your way in and out. I cannot recommend this gym enough!

If you’re looking for a gym that advertises classes that don’t exist, congratulations you’ve found it. I signed up because they bragged about group fitness, but the only “class” I ever saw was me standing alone in an empty room wondering if I had been scammed (spoiler: I had). The schedule is faker than my motivation at 6 a.m.

The only saving grace of this place is Paul. Paul is the lone warrior holding this gym together with sheer willpower, duct tape, and maybe caffeine. He deserves a medal, a raise, and probably a hug. Without him, this gym would collapse faster than my knees on leg day.

I had to fight to get out of the contract because of their lies, and I’m convinced if Paul wasn’t around, they’d just lock the doors and pretend the gym never existed.

If you want fake classes, broken promises, and to witness one man single-handedly trying to stop the Titanic from sinking, this is your spot. Otherwise, run (and you’ll get more cardio out of that than any “class” they’ll offer).

Manager and staff were very welcoming! I spoke with the owner, who was very personable, about insurance programs upon signing up and was informed they no longer accept them. However, the price of the membership was well below what I would’ve paid to the insurance company. The owner took the time to discuss options and prices with me that fit my budget, and after the conversation I didn’t hesitate to sign up directly with the gym.

I am not pleased with Max gym . I canceled my membership a month ago in June 2025. Paul the General Manager still has not refunded my $ 29.99. I in my account as of July 22 2025.I believe they should be audited by the Federal government. People make sure that Max gym does not have your checking account on file. I moved down here almost a year ago and decided to join this gym. The equipment is great, and the facility is always very clean. I started personal training sessions with Addison, who took the time to sit down with me, discuss my goals, and design a program tailored to my needs. Afterward, I was paired with William, and the experience has continued to be excellent.

Coming from New York, I really appreciate that this gym focuses on partnership—not upselling. It’s all about working together to reach your goals, and you never feel taken advantage of. I highly recommend it!

Lots of good updates this past year. New management seems to be doing more than the old one.
Only complaint is they still stick with the outdated “lease” membership that makes it a hassle to cancel. My wife wanted to use the faculties while it is too hot to run outside during the summer, then cancel, but the only options are a very expensive month to month fee or a 24 month agreement. Definitely should offer some better summertime plans in my opinion

It looks like a great place. However, I was misled during registration. I'm a single father with two kids, and I made it specifically known that I will be with my two kids during my visits. Our main interest was the pool, because I have physical disabilities. I specifically asked will they be able to accompany me in the pool. I was told yes, given an application, and told to pay a monthly fee. I didn't understand the fee considering I was already paying a family membership fee, but I figured that was just an add-on. I paid the fee so it didn't have to be done when we returned. A little over a week later, I return with my kids to swim, but I was told the kids will not be able to get in the pool. They were only allowed to have swimming lessons or use the children's area. That was nowhere near what we discussed, or I wouldn't have paid for it to be the way we expected. My thought my request was simple enough to be understood. No problem though, just got a refund, and took the 30 minute drive to the Kroc Center. Was not grateful for that inconvenience, but the Kroc Center is better for families.

Ive lost 32 pounds in the last 54 days at this place but thats not the point of this review. The reason i love this gym is that the staff is personal and easy going and the atmoshpere is for every day normal people looking to get back into shape. The other gym goers are polite, respectful and there are no people with thier phones out trying to record videos. It has been the best environment for me to get back into shape. the daycare staff has been exceptional and my son actually looks forward to going in to the gym because its a fun socializing experience. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking to get in shape without any kind of judgement in a comfortable yet professional setting with the best equipment.

I’m overall very happy with this gym. As far as equipment goes, they have everything I need and more and it’s nice and spread out which I appreciate. I definitely wish doors remained locked/key card members only access for safety reasons. Cleanliness took a dip with ownership/staff change but seems to be turning around again, maybe part of the process as they were focused on upgrades/repairs for a bit, I’m 10/10 happy now long as it stays very clean.

I have to say that I was completely impressed with how I became a member of this facility. It was a message that came to me through speculation about joining a membership after I returned to the local area. It was once a fitness center of another name, and I found that it was listed as something else. The owner of the establishment reached out to me was a bit shocking because it was on Sunday, and though he was being proactive, I was taken in, because no, they replied almost instantly, which led me to decide to go in. And check out the facility. The next day which would have been Monday.

Upon arriving at the facility, I was able to view the new setup, which was even better than the previous
Set up from the previous businesses. Establishment set up. I was impressed with the cleanliness. I was impressed with the staff and I was also impressed with the fact that when the owner came in, he was energetic and personable and set the tone for what would be considered the catalyst for me to join this gym. I appreciate the time and the attentiveness. That was taken to make all this happen and I have not been disappointed yet. This feels like a place of home. And what sold me the most was the fact that they had the sauna in place.
