Absolutely love going to Method! The entire staff and members at this gym are super friendly and helpful, and the trainers are killer during the HIIT classes. You can tell they have really worked hard to cultivate a community at Method that invites everyone in and supports you, no matter where you are on your fitness journey. I've yet to try a lift class and plan to do that and hire one of their trainers to train me personally, but until then, I can do my own thing during their open gym hours on weekdays. The gym is ALWAYS spotless, and the music is always on point. Happy to be a member at Method!

I reached out to get more information on personal training, heard back the same day, and was in to see the owner, Zach, by the next morning for an initial consultation. I have been worried about what to do and not injure myself in the process. He was excited to help me and even thanked me for coming in. I made me even more excited as I am trying to navigate this journey improving my strength and mobility. Method is the best, and I’ve been to many fitness places during my 60+ years. I was seeking alternate ways to become more fit after a physical setback. My trainer, Ashley, patiently worked with me. She shared clever exercises and stretches I could use to build strength, stamina, flexibility, and balance and improve posture without heavy weights. I highly recommend Leslie‘s Saturday morning class to get your weekend started off right, and Jessica’s cheery personality gets you motivated to move in her 6:45 am classes, even on leg day!

Just signed up in February and am a huge fan! I was incredibly intimidated by the hiit mills when I first signed up but I have quickly gotten way more comfortable. The vibes are great and I leave every class completely gassed, which is a good thing! The location is super convenient for me and parking is a breeze. The addition of the Friday morning 645 class time was the cherry on top. So happy I found a new gym home!

Bright and cheerful location, with beautiful equipment rooms! The owner Zach is very friendly, and my trainer, Jessie, is very organized. There is a whole lot of workout in a half hour session.

I'm usually a gym hopper. I discovered Method on ClassPass and it wasn't long before I was hooked & it became my primary gym. The variety of classes + the amazing coaching team are unparalleled. Its low pressure, never salesy, and all about the community. But don't think that means an easy workout! I *always* felt it the next day and the routine ("method") definitely gave me muscle & longer burn than any other classes or gym program I've done. Highly recommend for wholistic fitness.

Some days I'm tired and just not feeling a vigorous workout, BUT I know all I have to do is get there. The coaches are motivating and they make it a lot of fun. The workouts are well-rounded; perfect mix of strength and cardio training. They hit ALL the muscle groups. Every. Single. Time. "You get what you came for". It's obvious there is a lot of thought and preparation involved. No workout is ever the same so I never get bored. I also enjoy the comradery of the Method fitness team in and outside of the gym. I'm hooked.

I’ve been training at Method since 5 months ago and, so far, I am totally enjoying going to the gym. All coaches are friendly and they make you feel comfortable and always welcome. They truly care about you so it kinda feels like you have a family at the gym. It means a lot to me because I’m not from here and I look so different from a lot of people yet I was made to feel right at home. While I don’t personally know every gym member, you can also sense a general friendliness amongst everyone. My personal trainer, Ty, challenges me all the time and that kind of approach increased my strength within a short time. I can lift much heavier weights now than I was used to. The HIIT classes are AWESOME. The best trick is really to do both personal training and HIIT and I’m glad I found my sweet spot (or method). I can see myself and my husband who’s also a member going to this gym for a long time. I guess for as long as we live in Charleston. The best gym in town!

I love to workout but terrified of gyms. I knew I needed a gym that offered personal training so I scheduled a visit to Method. The energy from the first time I entered the facility was incredible. Where do I even start with what I love about this gym! Not only did they have the most welcoming, inviting and friendly staff they provide an atmosphere that makes you excited to work out! Wow! As a first time beginner to fitness and a gym, this place delivered on customer service, support and overall awesomeness! I signed up for a free class and Leslie reached out to see if I had any questions - ended up visiting the gym, getting a tour and she made me feel so welcome and comfortable. My first class was HARD! Signed up for a HIIT class and the instructors were so kind but man did they make you work! An amazing workout (my legs may not work tomorrow, ha!) with kind and competent instructors made all the difference! Super clean facility! I am over 300lbs, have not been to a gym in YEARS, and I hate mornings. YET this place has me loving my experience and showing up most mornings at 5:30am. Is it tough, heck yeah. These guys put together a pretty intense Class, but do not be scared if you are worried you can not complete it fully. The Trainers are great at giving modifications when needed! I am only roughly 8 classes in, however I see this place being my Home as I start this journey to being healthier.

I joined Method back in March after traditionally being a work out on my own not in a class kind of person. Method changed my mind about the whole class mentality. The environment here is on point and I feel motivated throughout the workouts to give it my all. The trainers are fantastic! I've been at this gym since it opened! I love the atmosphere and the challenge I receive from every workout! I was at my worst physical conditioning in my life, having gained +65 lbs post my collegiate athlete days. I've been able to get back my athleticism and more! I've lost over 50 lbs and maintain keeping it off with the consistency Chucktown provides me. One of the biggest gains I've received here is the community! We enjoy ourselves thoroughly, with a lot of laughter, and still find a way to encourage each other to give it our all, no matter what level of fitness you are. It's my go-to place to get a great workout in with a great community! Highly recommend these guys! The trainers are great, knowledgeable, and approachable. I started going to this CTF gym because I realized I needed to get a personal trainer to see the results I was looking for. I was tired of working out by myself just doing whatever came to mind or what I saw on YouTube. I didn’t have enough money for a trainer so they suggested a group class. At first, being the shy uneducated fitness person that I was I got nervous but I gave it a try & loved it, it was nothing like I expected everyone was there with the same plan as me they were focus & non judge mental. these are really some of the nicest people I’ve ever met from the trainers to the trainees. Everyone is very helpful I apologize if I’m making it sound like it’s to good to be true but I can’t make this up & wouldn’t take the time out of my day to make it up. It’s an environment that doesn’t pressure you it actually motivates you to pull through. It’s definitely an investment I’m glad that I made. I’m actually bumping up to 3 classes a week instead of 2 & I’m excited. CFT is a hidden gem.

I joined this gym 7 months ago as I was searching for a local class based gym and I’m very happy I did. I had not really worked out in two years so to say I was out of shape is an understatement. The facility is nice and clean. The classes are always challenging and different with great music as well. The coaches make sure that you are using the correct form and will help you modify exercises if you need to. All of the staff are very supportive and encouraging. I have been a member at Chucktown for almost 3 months now and can't say enough good things. The facility and equipment are always clean and well kept but the thing that sets it apart are the owners and the entire staff. They are welcoming to everyone of any fitness level and their knowledge, friendliness, and helpfulness are great. They get to know you by name and make you feel part of their team. Highly recommend to anyone. First class!

I’ve been a member of the Chucktown Fitness Gym and family for about 4 to 5 years. Followed the team from W. Ashley. It’s not my first go ‘round with HITT training, I liked my gym in MA, but this gym and crew of trainers far surpasses all the places I’ve been. They will challenge you and be kind, courteous, encouraging while putting you through the process of improving your life. And believe me, it will. I called up Zach about 3 months ago because I was looking for a more personalized training experience. My goal is to get back in shape and enjoy working out again before turning 40. I've been going to the gym on and off for the past 20+ years but Covid definitely made it challenging to get motivated but the 1:1 experience at Chucktown Fitness has been incredible!! Zach and Leslie are wonderful owners! They are friendly, kind, and care about their clients. Matt Wilson was assigned to me as my personal trainer and Ive seen huge gains in the past 3 months! Ive lost almost 5% body fat and Ive put on 6 pounds of muscle based on lab results. I didn't expect results that fast, its awesome! Matt is incredibly knowledgeable, motivating, and has tailored a workout plan based on my goals and progress. My initial plan was to try personal training for a couple of months but it's been such a positive in my life, that I don't think that I could stop now!!! I bet a lot of people are like me and want to see results from their time in the gym, so I would highly recommend Chucktown Fitness.

I recently left a gym which I loved to join the CTF, I made the change because of a move. After the first few training sessions I knew they were the deal! My form has improved and I can see changes in my fitness. Leslie and Zach respectfully meet each member where they are and can show anyone how to improve their fitness. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt welcomed by all! It was so refreshing! Zach, Leslie and all of the trainers are so knowledgeable. They take the time to help you if have questions and offer suggestions if you are struggling with proper form. The group classes are amazing. Even if you already do some specialized activity, ex power lifting, martial arts, or kick boxing, these classes get your body into amazing shape for whatever else you may do.

Amazing! I can’t say enough about CTF. They are fantastic. I hadn’t exercised for 3+ years when I joined and was very nervous. The coaches are so supportive and encouraging. They explain every exercise, make sure you are performing it correctly, offer options if you aren’t quite there and when you are there they push you to the next level. CTF even converted my boyfriend who hates working out.

They have exceeded my expectations in every way possible. Matt Wilson, my trainer is so knowledgeable, professional, and such a great instructor for so many reasons. He is an excellent communicator especially when taking into consideration that I struggle with dyslexia. So far, I’ve had only rewarding training sessions with clarity and each class has left me ecstatic and eager for the next. I don’t know what their method is exactly but all I know is I love it and it keeps me coming back for more. That’s saying a lot from someone who loathed exercise in any form most of my adult life. Finishing up my 3rd week (3-4x a week) and I gotta say: THE SWEAT IS REAL! The community here at Chucktown is real too. I have not worked out in a very long time and my wedding is coming up. I wanted to tone up my body while also building up strength, but flying solo at the gym is really not my thing. These group training classes with amazing coaches really helps motivate me to PUT IN THAT WORK! I feel so good after a work out. The great thing is that all the exercises are so creative (and different each time so you don't get bored!) and you can do them at your own pace, but they will push you for sure! Amazing experience so far and I can't wait to continue my journey with them!

I have absolutely fell in love with Chucktown Fitness!! I used to hate going to the gym and I did not do it very much because of that. I never knew what workouts were best and I could never make a “routine” of workouts for the gym by myself. Since starting the Team Train classes at Chucktown I have LOVED working out!! The trainers/instructors are beyond helpful. Leslie and Zach C have been nothing but great for my morning workouts. Leslie always walks around during class to make sure everyone has the correct stance/position which is so helpful. There is a wide variety of times to choose from starting as early as 5:30 am. I have felt great after just one week. I am looking forward to continuing here and seeing even more results.

I honestly very much enjoy the atmosphere and the teamwork that exists at this facility. Everyone is extremely easy to talk to. This has honestly been the smartest decision I’ve ever made. It’s the perfect combination of strength training, cardio, plyometrics, and resistance training. ALL of their personal trainers as well as the owners are extremely excellent at what they do. Very professional and they really want to help you. The group classes are fun and awesome. This place provides any type of person with that feeling of welcoming and comfortability. Chucktown has awesome group workout classes that can be done by every fitness level as well as personal one on one training. The trainers are friendly and very knowledgeable! Great atmosphere and very clean gym!
