If you (or your children) want to learn or practice ninja warrior, parkour, backflips (or pretty much anything), this is the place to go. They have plenty of classes and the instructors are awesome. They have a genuine interest in helping you (young or old) learn new techniques - while also instructing you in the ways to execute them safely. Also, once you have been through the Intro Class, you are free to use the Open Gym time. This is where you can really hone the skills you've learned. Definitely recommend!

We love Motive! My kids have taken classes and attended the summer camp and loved both. I have also been taking a Ninja Level 1 class for adults and it is so much fun! I am not terribly athletic and have no history with gymnastics, but the coaches are very encouraging and helpful and I go home smiling every time.

I am extremely sad that I have to change our five-star review to a one star however, one of the owners of Motive Movement directly violated the privacy of my child, who was still a student, and another child who was no longer attending. The owner took it upon herself to call other parents and share false, defaming information about a 6 year old child. If you are at all concerned about your family's personal privacy and information, you should not trust this facility with your child.
My child has attended motive for almost 3 years and enjoyed his time there; however the owners actions are absolutely unexcusable.

I’ll be honest and say I was a little skeptical of how good of an experience this would be for my kids… they had heard about / seen Bob’s videos online, and I’m just naturally a little skeptical of things built on internet fame. Lol! We were in town from Cincinnati visiting my family, and my boys asked if there was a chance we would be able to go to MOTIVE, so I invited some more of their cousins and we took a group of five kids between 8 and 13 to a Drop In Intro to Ninja and Parkour class on Monday night. I was genuinely impressed with every aspect of the experience. Every staff member I spoke to was super friendly and helpful, their coach did a great job with their class, always encouraging them and making the experience fun. The facility itself is awesome, with a very wide range of obstacles and features. You can tell it was built as a serious training ground for elite ninja warrior and parkour athletes. Our kids had an absolute blast, and I couldn’t have been happier with the value and experience. A+

I have a 7 year old who was very excited to visit. When we arrived she was most excited for the big area. We paid the drop in fee and went upstairs and were really disappointed with the facilities available for her age group. When I tried to sign the waiver online the process was not very user friendly. The person who helped us at the desk was not very helpful or enthusiastic. It was an overall negative experience. We ended up going to Big Air and having a great time.

This review is solely based on our recent experience with the Ninja summer camp. We have never attended the gym outside of this experience.

My 6 year old son attended their week long morning session for summer camp and had a wonderful time. The very serious concern that this review is based on is their total lack of security regarding my son's safety. The first day I came to pick him up, I parked and as I got out of my car, he ran up to me in the parking lot. There was ZERO accountability for his safety or whereabouts. In fact, not a single employee even knew he left, or even cared when I brought him back in to notify them.

I was extremely distraught by this experience and the next morning brought it up with the front desk employee, who honestly couldn't seem to care less. She just nodded her head at what I said had happened and went back to the computer. I debated bringing him back for the rest of the week due to this complete and atrocious lack of accountability for his whereabouts.

At the end of the week, a couple of visiting family members who had enrolled their children for the last 3 days of camp, arrived before me to pick up their kids. When I pulled up in the parking lot, my son was walking outside with them to their car. They did not have my permission to release my child to anyone except for me. In fact, I'm pretty sure the facility didn't even know he had left the building. We attended a summer camp at a museum in the area a few weeks ago where the children were only released to the parent on file and with a photo ID. This is the type of seriousness we should take for our children's safety.

This type of negligence is unacceptable at every level and every parent of a young child should steer clear of this place if they care at all for their child's welfare and safety. I can understand this type of behavior for an older kid who understands the world a little better, but they allow kids as young as 5 to enroll here. Be aware that there will be no accountability to where they are and if they wander outside on their own and anyone will be allowed to walk out the front door with them.

One of the BEST parkour parks I’ve ever been to! Also helps that one of the major competitors from Ninja Warriors is an actual teacher there! Lots of fun activities to do for kids and adults alike! I take classes from a pop up studio called Sanctuary of Pole that’s held in the dance classroom, as well as take classes for FlyPole and the Lyra Hoop on the main floor as well and always have a great time! It’s a great, family oriented place with lots of different things to do! Definitely check them out!!

Not worth the high cost for anyone under 8. The tiny gym upstairs for anyone under 8 is not anything different than big air trampoline or better by any means. We drive from the Clemson/Anderson area because my son loves it so much! I was very impressed recently when Bob Reese, one of the owners came in because my son asked the front staff if they could ask Bob to come in because he was writing a biography on him for school and he needed to interview him. I thought no way is he going to come in and I thought my son would have to do his biography on his back up guy JFK… lol Bob came in and took the time to answer all his questions and even did follow up questions! I drove to the gym from CLT NC. Given the 2 hour drive I hoped that the open gym session would be a good experience. It more than exceeded my expectations. Staff were inviting and knowledgeable. This place is great. We first discovered it by seeing Bob Reese on the YouTubes. My sons have been students there for a year or so. Everyone that I've talked to on the staff is super helpful and really into helping their students progress as athletes. I highly recommend Motive to anyone who's interested in Ninja Warrior, Parkour, Trampoline stuffs, and flipping stuffs. It's as safe as it can be (of course there's risk, but what sport doesn't haves risks) and it's been great for my boys. The facility is like no other in the area and the staff includes highly skilled athletes and trainers/teachers.

I can not say enough good things about MOTIVE. I brought my 10 year old son in last minute for what I thought was open gym, I had misread the website and was incorrect about timing. Instead of disappointing him they found a way to fit him into a class as a drop in and he had the time of his life! The instructor was patient with all the children, focused on actually teaching them how to properly move through the runs he was setting up, and genuinely took the time to make sure each kid was gaining something from the experience. 10/10 would recommend coming here, as a kid, or an adult 💛

My five year daughter looks forward to youth open play every week. The open ended equipment is safe and provides space for critical thinking and conscious movement. All of the instructors are incredible. They challenge her to try new things while providing support and encouragement. This gym is amazing! You'll have the opportunity to try out all kinds of obstacles that you've seen on American Ninja Warrior. Fair warning, they are much more difficult than they appear on tv. The gym also has some incredibly high quality trampolines and open space for doing jumps and tricks.

Lincoln was our guide/trainer, and he was the best! Incredibly friendly and helpful. Everyone at the gym is very kind and welcoming.

This place was freaking great. I came with some friends who were much more skilled at parkour than me, but I was hopeful that I could still enjoy my time (we drove all the way from Columbia as we sadly don't have anything:( ) and I really did! I improved my frontflip, started learning how to vault, how to backflip, and I also overcame some fears of falling! I was there about 6 hours and enjoyed every bit of it.

My kids have been waiting a year for Motive to open, and the owners and gym did not disappoint!! The gym is so well done, and while my kids have only had a couple of classes they are so excited for Mondays to go to ninja class!!! They come home excited and wanting to work on skills and muscle strengthening. The walking track, sitting areas, and workout equipment are an excellent touch.
