A Life-Changing Experience at Personal Performance
I’ve struggled with neck pain for years, trying just about everything — and Jamie is the first person who has truly helped me heal. His depth of knowledge about how the body works and heals is incredible. From pinpointing the real source of my pain to building a recovery plan that actually works, Jamie has guided me back to strength and mobility. I’m feeling so much better that I’m now training with him to climb the Grand Teton next summer — something I never thought would be possible before working with him.
The entire team at Personal Performance is top-notch. The gym is spotless, well-equipped, and has a really positive, welcoming energy. Every trainer I’ve met is professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping people reach their goals.

I went in this week for a workout assessment with Blake, and it was an excellent experience. The facility is top notch, clean, well equipped, and welcoming. Blake was a fantastic trainer who pushed me hard but never past my limit, striking the perfect balance. The owner is also incredibly friendly and clearly cares deeply about his clients’ success. I’d highly recommend Personal Performance to anyone looking to improve their fitness.

This gym is incredible. A place where you don’t feel intimidated to be in if you are a novice. Staff members are so friendly and the personal trainers are knowledgeable. The facility is clean and has everything you could possibly need, they even have a cold plunge and sauna!

I started working out at Personal Performance because my golf handicap index had doubled in a 12 month period. I was out of shape and not motivated. I was attracted to Personal Performance because everyone who works there is an athlete. Eoghan helped formulate a plan to get my game back. Work is the first phase of workout. If you are ready to work this is a great place. Jamie is the star of the whole establishment! He nursed me through two injuries. This is not your parents physical therapy program. Even physical therapy is a workout. My index is at a three year low so there is proof it is working. Eoghan and Jamie are wonderful. I gave this rating of my on free will (my first ever for anything). My wife did not make me.

Next level PT and personal training. Whether in PT or training, you'll work hard - and probably sweat some - but you'll come out of it with a plan for improving your health. If you need PT, they'll address the immediate need, but beyond that, they'll put you on a path to overall better health and conditioning. The trainers are great working with all skill levels. And the way they all work together has been a huge bonus. I went for PT and stayed for training. My husband went for training and has utilized PT along the way. We're both happy we found Personal Performance. These guys are the best!

Looking for a personal trainer can be scary when you’ve never lifted weights before or lived an active lifestyle. From the moment I started coming to this gym I’ve felt welcomed and supported through my fitness journey. All of the staff members are so knowledgeable and tailor every workout to your needs and goals. In just 2 months I’ve lost a significant amount of weight and gained muscle. I truly can’t recommend this place enough!

This place is legit. Had some major shoulder pain and wanted to try to avoid surgery. Met with the owner, Big Irish guy, and the PT, Jamie. Jamie put me on a 4 week routine that got rid of all my pain. He tough me stuff I never knew and I’m a pretty seasoned fitness person. Also did some focused massage and dry needling. Amazing experience.

I visited Personal Performance after an injury. Jamie and the physical therapy team gave me 1-on-1 attention that I wasn't getting previously. Within weeks, my back injury was resolved and I was able to transition to 1-on-1 training at Personal Performance. This was 3 years ago and I have never looked back. I suffered from back injuries every few months and I credit my last few years of good health to Eoghan and his team, I can't thank them enough!

This place and these trainers are amazing! I'm 39 and was referred here by a friend who knew I was starting to have chronic lower back issues as I get older which was hindering me from being able to exercise fully and get back in shape. The tailored fitness plan and personal instruction has given me a much stronger core and my lower back pain has completely gone away and I feel like I'm in the best shape of my life. I love the 10-15 min of personal stretching that comes with every session - that has really gone a long way in helping with my lower back issues as well. Highly recommend if you're looking for amazing personal trainers at very reasonable rates. I had another personal trainer somewhere else prior to being referred here and it is no comparison. The other PT I went to before did not take a personalized approach to my fitness plan, did not include stretching and was the double the price. Thanks Personal Performance Charleston!

I had been training with Eoghan for 6 years prior to him founding Personal Performance in 2017. Eoghan and Adriaan, the other trainer at Personal Performance, are experienced and committed to the wellbeing of their clients. I know that I would never have achieved the level of fitness and wellness I now have if not for the personal attention given in my training sessions. They are outcome focused, and I have been able to see continual improvement over the years. Additionally, they make it enjoyable to train and they are very motivating and encouraging.

Recently, I have been dealing with a number of physical issues, including a torn rotator cuff, sciatica, and knee surgeries. Eoghan and Adriaan not only understand my limitations, but also assist in my rehabilitation. They have tailored my sessions to meet my specific rehabilitation needs. They clearly put a lot of time into designing the sessions. They challenge me but make sure there was no risk of injury. Importantly they ensure that my technique is always correct

This program has uniquely met my goals for maintaining and developing strength and mobility for a woman of my age (81 years!). They have a private workout studio where it’s one on one with a trainer. They have great equipment and are always switching up my workouts so it never becomes routine or boring.
