Alex then gave me the Black Card tour like he was showing me VIP access to a secret spa, and Sarah explained tanning in a way that somehow made a 30-year-old man who’s never been in a tanning bed feel not like an awkward baked potato.
The gym is clean, the AC works, the equipment isn’t trying to injure me, and the staff is seriously top-tier.
Shoutout to Zana, Alex, and Sarah — they turned “my gym is closed and my morning is ruined” into “I should’ve been going here all along.”

Workout machines stay broken for weeks. A lot of members “park” at stations playing with iPhones so no one else can use them. Cancelled membership after 2 years because paying to workout when stations inaccessible is not a viable gym. Desk associates/mannequins absolutely no help either. More concerned with auto payments than operating a gym. Avoid this place.

I used to love coming here but recently have had a lot of issues. I told multiple front desk employees one of the massage chairs does not work properly and they haven't done anything about it and they keep trying to schedule me for that chair. I also tried to call multiple times to try to figure out my payment and was hung up on or sent to voicemail. Super frustrating and I will be canceling my membership

This location sucks! It has only been open a little over a year and there is always something needing maintenance, broken or dirty. The tanning beds are the tastiest I have ever used in 35 years I have been tanning. They NEVER clean the beds or the rooms. There is so much hair, dirt and dust on the machines and in the rooms, it is just disgusting. It takes me 10 minutes to clean the bed before I will get in. If I go in the stand up bed, I put paper towels on the floor to stand on. They have 6 beds and 3 have been out of service since March. The other 3 have burnt out bulbs. Bed #3 has 6 burnt out bulbs right now. There is never a manager available. The employees don't know or don't care when you ask questions. No one knows when the beds will be working. I have been asking who I can talk to for months and apparently there is no one above the lady manager in there. No regional manager, no franchise owner to speak with.......today I go in and now all the beds are down or unavailable while a transformer is being installed, supposedly or at least that was the excuse. When I asked how long they would be down the guy behind the counter just shrugged his shoulders. Another employee said "maybe try back tomorrow". I would not recommend this location to anyone which is sad because after joining we waited 6 months for it to open, 3 months past when they said it was going to open because it's the closest to our home.

I go to planet fitness 3 to 6 days a week. I like planet fitness over the gym that I used to go to because it has a lot of variety with so many different workout machines. You can target certain areas of the body and also they have so many machines That if one machine is busy, you can go to another machine and use it until the machine that you want to use is open and then come back to that one. The place is always clean and well kept.

Owe them just a little bit of money and the management let me work out as well as tan. But had a female employee wearing cat ears to work this Sunday, May 4 that “ you can’t tan because you owe money”.. I said well management allowed me too because I’m making payments, she said “ different people do different things”😱 what? So what’s the policy? The polite lady at the front desk in the early morning hours is the only reason I give it 2 stars. The gym itself is a disaster. Anything broken stays broken for months. Machines, water fountain, tanning booth, the missing door on the men’s bathroom stall. Missing door. That’s right. Months.

This place is less than 2 years old and it’s a constant disaster. I’m switching to Crunch Fitness across the street. This location is a ratchet hood rat on life support.

My experience overall was great, especially with the night crew! They have excellent customer service, friendly, and go over and beyond to me. But that mid shift lady Hope is absolutely HORRIBLE! She has a disgusting attitude that would make you want to switch gyms. I avoid coming in whenever I know she works! She needs to be reported to corporate and fired, everyone that I know attends plant fitness has this same opinion about her and does not even attend this gym anymore.

The lady up front was terribly rude. I understand you guys have a shoe policy and I always follow it but I'm from out of town and forgot my shoes, so I slid my uggs off to be able to SAFELY work out as my uggs are platforms and I could twist my ankle or worse break it wearing it them when doing a leg press. You do not have to tell me that next time to bring tennis shoes, I Know that. A simple I'm sorry it's policy you need to wear your shoes would've done. But you had to be impolite. Learn to better approach people.

I've always enjoyed my time at this establishment, especially given the price, only 25 a month for my membership. But it'd been recently I've noticed they are charging me my 25 monthly charge and another 49 dollar charge, when I called and asked why all of a sudden I'm getting charged an added on 49 dollars I was told its an annual club fee, why the hell am I paying 25 a month and then another 49? Makes no sense, will be canceling my whole membership. It's not worth over 74 dollars.

Walking into Planet Fitness in Columbia, SC, through the automatic doors and seeing such a spacious setup, I knew this workout was going to be a hit! What a fantastic way to kick off my morning with some strong pumps to get the day rolling.

The staff was incredibly friendly, and the locker rooms were spotless—definitely a big plus! This location is not only convenient but also offers plenty of equipment, so there’s no waiting or sharing with other guests. The space is well-organized, making it easy to focus on your workout. I had a bad experience here with Hope A. I came in with my brother expecting to have a relaxing workout. She told me I was not allowed to wear my clothes at this planet fitness (Harbison) if I was on the floor. I was wearing a dress shirt and khakis and a belt with closed toed shoes with the intention of taking off my dress shirt before exercising. If this is not allowed, this is really unreasonable. My brother asked for her name, and she was rude to him and said she would cancel his membership. I’d like to resolve this if possible. I would leave a 1 star but I’ve never had an issue here in the past.

El personal de recepción son muy amables y noté que un chico del equipo estaba limpiando minuciosamente máquinas que nadie estaba usando cosa que me pareció excelente!
Vengo de Charleston y fui allá a otros gimnasios de la misma franquicia pero este de Irmo Sc me dejo impresionada por que en si es un gimnasio nuevo y las máquinas todas son nuevas hay 7 máquinas smith no tienes que esperar a que alguien mas la deje de usar porque hay de sobra! Otra cosa que note es que muchas máquinas sobre todo enfocadas en trabajo de tren superior ya traen contador de tiempo y repeticiones digitales wow tal vez a otras personas no les impresione estos detalles pero yo no había visto algo así en mis gimnasios anteriores! Realmente extrañare mi antiguo gimnasio por la camaradería que se forja con los años!
Pero los cambios son buenos y empezó muy bien eligiendo este nuevo gimnasio!
Lo recomiendo muchísimo está lo que sigue de bello y limpio!

At first a great experience, which turned out bad! Too many rules for the price you pay, much better options out there! A judgment free zone but certain shirts for men aren't allowed, but females can where whatever. I will not be returning to this planet fitness, few of the staff are hypocrites and this was my first day there, because my original home gym bush river planet fitness is getting remodeled. They have a gym bag policy but I’ve seen they let a white woman have her gym bag and a few more people that was not of color. They pin point me and telling me about all the policies, i definitely spoke up for myself professionally but this location ain’t what it seems. It will be more complaints in the future. We all are human and ain’t nobody better than the next or Higher than God.

I visited this location on a Thursday around 6 pm. Staff was friendly and greeted me when I checked in. The place was clean, and everyone did clean the equipment when they were done with it. I've been to other PF, and only half of the members would wipe down the equipment when done. There was enough equipment to where I didn't have to wait to work out. This was definitely one of the better PF's I've been to.

Instead of some Planet Fitness members being direct with you when they are assigned the massage chair they report to front desk, they knock on the doors when you're lying down meditating in the number four room. Front desk employees take in more consideration when some Planet Fitness members want to use the number four room with the outdoor sounds and the non massage chair. I completely understand that everybody has to consider taking turns using the non massage chair. But as grown ups why we can't just wait our turn without going to front desk lying as if another member knows you want to use the non massage chair and being in the room exceeding the duration: fifteen minutes on purpose. And during the times when there's no traffic of members coming just yet why not use another fifteen minutes cause fifteen minutes is all they're allowing you to have. Just goes to show that Planet Fitness doesn't really care much about your mental health and Planet Fitness was good when they were just a dollar and I got behind in the past months and I recall my bill was one hundred and twenty nine dollars. How are there more than one tanning room but only one non massage room to just relax just until some rude white member or front desk employee knocking on the door and not caring about whoever is inside that room in the middle of their therapeutic session. There is no welcoming feeling at Planet Fitness and Planet Fitness needs to hire much older mature employees because the young employees y'all have are bias, unethical and not considerate. Some of the employees such as the overnight employees have allowed a woman recently with a lot of bags into Planet Fitness and she wasn't even a member didn't pay a dime. She sat in the massage chair and fell asleep. Need I remind you she said she came all the way from West Columbia so I wonder why she didn't go to Planet Fitness in Cayce? The answer is as obvious as her being at Harbison's Planet Fitness overnight due to unethical managers and the rest of Planet Fitness staff. It's weird how some people never really leave after they walk out of Planet Fitness especially at night. If you not heading back in Planet Fitness what's the point in just sitting in the car with seats adjusted back and sleep? They're only taking up much needed parking spaces for other members to use prior to going into Planet Fitness.

My go to gym! I have been a PF members for a while from Virginia. I was sad to find that there was not a PF near my location. When I found out one had opened in Irmo, I was very quick to reinstate my gym membership. And even though it is still a little far for me, I have had only great experiences at this gym.

Everything about this gym is amazing. The equipment is always clean, the locker rooms and restroom areas are also always clean as well. It is very comfortable and screams good vibes.

FINALLY a Planet Fitness near where I live! It’s SO clean, not too crowded, the staff is very friendly, and I feel safe. Love all the new machines—feel so lucky to be able to use them, especially since they have the rep counters, etc. I enjoy using the PF app and implementing the workout tutorials. I have loved my experience and will be back (very) soon! I’ve also pretty much sold my boyfriend on switching from MUV to Planet Fitness for many reasons (he likes the 24/7 hours reason the best!). Took a tour of the facility this morning. Tons of machines. Lots of room. New equipment. The Spa area is awesome! Tanning, massage, hydrotherapy! Absolutely the best Planet Fitness that I have ever been to. Not to mention the 2 awesome employees that gave me the tour! They even let me try out the new "relaxing" machine with aromatherapy and heat, video, etc. I am so excited to get started here and it's less than a mile from my home and work!!!
