I really enjoy the middle class. Feel of planet fitness. These people are my people. I have been add a number of gyms in the different places. I've lived and the philosophy and function a planet fitness for me and my family really seems to be the best way to go.

Went in to this gym as it is extremely close to my place of business. My job offers a discount. I went in to inquire. I Walked in and the lady at the desk picked up the phone looking annoyed as I approached. Says she does have people from my work but has “no clue about how to help” me and just shrugs. I guess I will go check with the gym closer to my house or look for another gym down the street.

The staff seems to target certain individuals of the gym and stand for retaliation. When a member expressed an issue with a particular staff member targeting them, they banned the member. I had heard out of the staff members mouth how much she could not stand that member and how she wanted to get him banned. It's unfortunate that someone can support a gym for 10 plus years and get treated so poorly due to a staff members bias opinion. A veteran at that. I am disappointed

Planet Fitness on Garners Ferry Rd. Columbia is convenient for my wife and me to use. We enjoy the variety of equipment we can use. There are plenty of machines that we can use, without having to wait for our turn. The staff is friendly and provides excellent customer service.

Nicevlocation. Friendly staff. The equipment is clean and in working order. There are a couple of stations that have worn pad covers. But still useable. Restroom/ locker room is clean and stocked everytime i have been there.

I started going to this gym recently and have had little issue .I go to several PF’s. I workout , and I leave . I get one phone call that I needed to answer with about a 1 minute update on a family member that’s in the hospital . My Bluetooth was cutting out so I used my phone . I get asked (politely)to take my calls going forward in the lobby, by the time I walk to the lobby the call would have been missed . I have no issue with that. As anyone that works there has seen no pattern of that with me , I’ve been going to PF’s for years with no incident . I guess my point is I see people on the phone all the time , people sit on equipment talking , filming themselves with the phones , lingering , others half dressed using multiple pieces of equipment at once, water bottles and bags left on equipment to hold while they are on other machines,(super setting ) another rule that you don’t enforce that is clearly broken everyday I’ve been in , you walked right by someone with a string tank top to get to me that wasn’t addressed. I’ve never seen anything being said or done. No big deal, I get it you can’t police everything , but if you are going to arbitrarily correct one rule you need to cover your bases and address all the rules . Not just when it’s convenient . Just my opinion . It’s discrimination ,or maybe it’s lack of training . Again you enforce one rule , but not the other rules . At the end of the day I understand , but if you’re going to have someone policing the gym for one thing they need to be on everything . You clearly have some training to do , pf’s rules and guidelines are pretty easy to find.

Unfortunately this PF compared to others within a 10 mile radius does not compare. While the staff tries to keep it clean and machines are mostly working, they are understaffed often and the trash bags will fill and there will be empty paper towel dispensers. Machines can break down and be out of order for weeks. Cayce and W Columbia are way cleaner, have more merch, are bigger, more machines and newer machines too such as glute thrust machines. This PF is also poorly ventilated, i sweat an insane amount meanwhile the other very air conditioned PF aforementioned are cool and I don't sweat and overheat despite doing the same or harder exercises.

I would like to first explain that I take my dad with me to the gym. He has dementia and taking him to the gym is a way for him to keep moving and stay active. Today August 22, 2024 when we were leaving my dad likes to grab the little candies from the front and shake or fist bump the staff. So as I was turning around I saw the manager she is a white woman with brown hair. She had a very nasty look on her face when he was trying to fist bump her and once I saw that I went to her and said he has dementia and she didn’t seem to really care or apologize about the situation. After walking to the car it didn’t sit right with me for my dad to be treated in this manner. So then I went back in to cancel my membership which was readily accepted, after that I try to explain to her the situation again, and she said “you don’t have to come here” and after that I had some choice words for her. I would like to speak with the owner of this planet fitness franchise. Thank you for your time Grier Bynoe.

I actually like the Garners Ferry location.. Not too busy, not suffocating and it's always clean.. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because employee's like Veronica picks and chooses who she enforce the rules on. On any given day someone is taking selfie, talking on the phone or training other people who dont work for PF.. She is forever telling someone to go to lobby to take calls when other senior citizens are on their phone on the machines and overlooking the cameras and training. I get you are allowed to have your own rules, but to pick and choose who you enforce the rules on is annoying especially when the other 30 rules posted others are breaking... Just be consistent or make some changes because the location is filled with military retired veterans who have calls coming for appts ect..

Love this gym. Always clean, well cared for equipment and a staff that is absolutely wonderful. Victor, Veronica, Tiffany, Daniel, and everyone is always friendly, always personable and always encouraging. The clients are a diverse crowd and all are friendly as well. I like that there are some who are super fit and some, like me, a bit older but all dedicated to staying in shape. Love this location.

I am always impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the friendliness of the staff. There are ample machines so that there is always a machine to use. I appreciate how the areas are organized. The 30 minute workout area is perfect for a person like me who would be overwhelmed and confused without it. I also use specific machines in the stretching area to target specific body parts. Oh, the Hydro Bed is a delight!

I love planet fitness. Really all of them, but this one specifically is located at a spot where there's a few homeless people that wonder around. But, either way planet fitness is awesome because it's open 24/7. You can work out, shower, tan, and bring one guest. Also there is a full body red light machine and red light is supposed to be good for your skin. I think it's called total body enhancement.

From the friendly front desk staff to the cleanliness of the gym, I have always had a wonderful experience at this club. The equipment is always functional and if I ever have a question, the staff members are always willing to demo and ensure I feel comfortable. I love this gym, but today I came in to workout and lefted my headphones in the bathroom for less than 2mins and someone took it and didn't turn it in. I just want people to know be careful leaving anything around and get a lock to secure your personal belongings. There are some people that go to this gym that are not trustworthy. I want management to be aware who you are giving memberships. The workout gym and staff itself is great but be careful of shady people starting to come here.
