So let me get this straight, I have a normal membership and some of your employees are rude, I get a black card membership and come to this location and some of your employees are rude. So what's the next level membership where I can pay for good customer service because apparently that costs extra?
Here are some suggestions:
1. Have a great workout!
2. What's your goal today?
3. Stay hydrated during your workout.
4. Have a great day, may you get enough protein!
5. See you next time, you'll see results soon!
Etc... Your customer service makes a difference, it might even help you feel better within as well. :)
Lastly, please practice giving verbal directions, don't get frustrated with the customer. Write them down and then try to follow them. This will help you realize that the directions you give do not make sense. During college I was a cashier at a mom and pop southern restaurant. I enjoy good customer service and it throws me off when I see otherwise.

This past Sunday I visited the Fort Mill location of Planet Fitness. I had a matter to discuss for clarification. I spoke with Miranda, a manager, and I cannot say enough about how professional, kind, efficient and cool that she was. I think we should have Miranda's everywhere.
I gained a full understanding of my question, proceeded to work out and had a great experience from start to finish. Thank you again Miranda.

I have never been so disappointed, the three male employees sat on counters and did not do one thing while I was there for over an hour. Meanwhile Sarah was the only employee working(cleaning machines and checking towel dispensers). I hope some type of corrective action occurs, like letting them go

Woman I’ve called at this location has made me very uncomfortable to ask questions. She said a rude comment to me when I was simply asking how to transfer gyms. This woman seems very impatient and shouldn’t be answering phone calls. I’m not normally someone who complains or has issues with representatives but this lady has given me trouble the past 3 times I have called simply asking for help. Honestly thinking about canceling my membership altogether because I’ve been made feel like an issue so many times by this woman.

Just joined three days ago and so far Im pleased. Tons of different equipment for cardio exercises. They also have a wide range of nautilus machines with instructions on how to use them printed right on the machines. They also have free weights if you want to do some lifting the old fashioned way. I also saw an area for a 30 minute work out but I haven't tried that yet. Plus there is massage chairs and sun tan tables. So far I have worked out each of the three days and hope that I'm able to keep coming and using the place regularly every week. The facility is clean and well maintained.

I’ve been to a lot of gyms, but I have to say — Jerry at Planet Fitness really stands out. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with a genuine smile and welcoming energy that immediately made the gym feel like a comfortable place to be.

Jerry is not only professional and friendly, but he’s also incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Overall, the quality of the equipment is ok. My biggest issue was the limited space, feels pretty claustrophobic. The stretching area is pretty tight too and pretty limiting for that activity. The best place to be when you are not at home on the couch. Planet Fitness is like home . Lots and lots of friendly people. The staff at Lake Wylie in Clover SC is the absolute best in the Carolinas. Trainer JT is very professional and explains the different machines and exercises to do safely. The management keeps the whole place clean as can be. It was my first gym I have been to, and it is wonderful. I have been there for over a year, and I go at least 5 times a weak and sometimes 6 days a week. You can not beat their price compared to other Gyms

Billing issues with this place from the beginning because they force you to use a bank account instead of a debit or credit card which would be much more convenient and let me get points back on my card.

Despite having a backup card this place keeps charging me a $15 late fee which feels like a scam. Nice place to work out but the billing policy sucks and they nickel and dime you for everything.

I’m really big on customer service. I called to pause membership and instead was charged the very next day and was already charged twice before for a transaction I didn’t know I was coming out. These gyms always seem to hire great staff who make the experiences even better. It’s so apparent that it plays a huge part why they are so successful. Providing good equipment with a good staff seems to be the key that keeps people continuously keeping their month to month memberships going. Last week I returned to this gym as one very close to one of my many work locations around CLT metro. It’s always clean and well staffed with knowledgeable people.

(Long side note: I did notice the woman mentioned in another review as “rude.” She seems to be a bit of an angry appearing gal whose harsh frowns show as she rushes to move folks along. She may not always be the quenticential PF/ Chik-fil-a cheery kind of employee seen but, I did notice she was hard of hearing. She asked me to repeat everything I said and still misunderstood and misinterpreted it when repeated as low tone voices didn’t fair well with her ears. So another member of the staff, Lex, stood closer to her to give her the 411 with a higher pitch than I have to tell her my request was to get a massage chair. Having poor hearing can be a definite frustration and lead to the frowns that may explain her behavior a bit. Lacking one of the senses is bad but especially when it’s hearing as it’s one when lost temporarily, it can cut us off from communication with the world unless reading lips, brain or having a dependable hearing device that works well can rectify the issue. That’s one of the most legit reasons to be mistaken as rude when it’s frustration instead just misunderstood to be sited as the angry with someone not something. Just a thought as I saw what the other reviewer was saying but perhaps there is a reason to better understand her reactions to situations as it affects every aspect of being unbalanced and thereby making her feel frustrated or upset but not at why he may think she is found with her frowning face that leaves her judged to be misinterpreted in the unintentionally rude appearance having the reaction to communicate with little ability to make sense of things leaving hostility.

I went to Planet Fitness this afternoon and brought a friend with me. We both signed in to use the Hydro Massage chairs and they were great. I called today again to follow up with fraud issues. I specifically asked Chance for the legal contact info so I can file against this location, after they began erroneously charging me a full year after canceling my membership.
Instead of Chance hearing me and getting me the contact info, he left me on hold for 15 minutes to talk to the manager. He came back and told me I need to get an attorney to subpoena the attorney's name, then also refused to give me the manager's name.

This location owes me more than $160 in fraudulent charges.

I had a good experience at this planet fitness location. The work out equipment was spaced out well but I will say the stretching area leaves a little bit to be desired since it's all the smaller side. However all the equipment that I use was working and the ellipticals where in good shape too.

Overall the locker room and bathrooms are clean and enough room for storing your stuff in the lockers. The showers were clean as well but had problems with the hot water. Would still visit and recommend this location but if you need to use a showers read my recommendation below.

So the on demand hot water system doesn't recognize the full hot water flow from the showers because they have low flow shower heads in place. So once you turn the hot water all the way up it'll get extremely hot but as soon as you turn it down a little bit the heating elements turn off and it goes back to being really cold. Basically you have to turn another shower on all the way to hot in order to get hot water in the shower that you're using. Granted it's a workaround not many would know about but I feel like I'm wasting water by running two showers just so I can have hot water in one. Management definitely needs to look at their flow regulator on the on-demand hot water to adjust it accordingly.

I never have a problem with this with other locations. This one is run by a very nasty mean lady named Sarah who obviously should be fired for her discriminatory behavior. Sarah the gm should be fired. She genuinely enjoys harassing customers writing nasty untrue things about on their files. Don't make this location your home location unless do you want to be bullied. This gym surprisingly took out $40. From my checking account for a yearly fee. I was never informed about the yearly fee because I joined years ago @ $10.00 a month. I had a stroke and cancelled my membership the day they charged me the yearly fee. I tried to get a refund. The manager of this gym would NOT help me get a refund and said his "hands are tied" what a horrible excuse for not even

trying to help me. Not recommended to use this gym...3 weeks later, I called my bank and did a chargback. Corporate gave me an immediate refund. This shows what an awful manager that is saying that his hands are tied..he's useless and needs to learn what it means to be customer service.

You get what you pay for. Not enough equipment that people use. Prime example…Smith machines have a constant wait, people just camp out on them, sitting there texting. Staff does not monitor. Open space to add a couple more without issue. Or….meanwhile the endless rows of cardio equipment are never near capacity. I’ve tried times through out the day, doesn’t make much difference. Just know what your getting. If you want unlimited access to cardio or tanning equipment, you can’t beat it. If you do any other fitness activity you will eventually be frustrated.

3.27 24 Just a addendum to my review. Took down to 4 stars after the revamp of the Gym. I really do love it However I think they should have kept the 30 minute workout section. I loved it, and it's like the gym has forgotten about out elderly who love to workout and they like and utilize the area. My buddy Mr Jim a very nice elderly man amongst other elderly really enjoy the area I really hope you all reconsider and bring the area back please.

I've been coming here for some time. Staff is always friendly. It's large enough that anytime I go even if it's very busy I can get on machines even if I have to wait just a couple minutes which isn't bad. I would say that the treadmills though all need to be adjusted because if you're walking on them they don't make noise or bounce but once you start to run some of them are off-kilter and make violent noises and Shake when you start running on them. I've mentioned this to them but it does not seem to have been repaired yet. I'm hoping they get them taken care of as opposed to me having to jump treadmills to find one that doesn't have an issue. Overall great and clean place and would recommend this gym to everyone.

No lying leg curl machine in this gym.
It's a basic, standard piece of equipment in any gym ever. It is also a standard piece of equipment for Planet Fitness gyms. Usually it's only in the 30 minute workout zone that no one uses (which is a joke anyway), but they don't have one here at all.
"It broke too often" Yes, Planet Fitness does have a problem with basic equipment maintenance so that could be an issue, not the machine that works just fine in every other gym.
I travel full-time and because PF is the cheapest business model, they have the most locations. Wish it didn't exist. It's a terrible brand for people who do want to work out properly.

Vanlifer here. Showers are terrible in that the hot water only lasted 3 minutes, tops, no matter what time of day you come. I've tried morning, evening, and midnight. All similar results.
