Planet Fitness is Planet Fitness. However, there was a lady at the front desk around 40, I guess. She's kind of rude. My 1st visit. A biracial girl walked in and was wearing some revealing clothes and she (the front desk clerk) kind of looked at me with a smile to see if it would make me uncomfortable. I'm a Muslim woman. I promise, I do not care. I'm biracial too and I do not care. This is America the Melting Pot of the World. It doesn't bother Muslims for the most part because we understand we do not share the same understanding. It is what it is. I asked for a lock, and she said they didn't accept cash and then informed me that they could charge my card on file. She was saying things that was perceived as condescending. For instance, she was speaking to me like I wouldn't have enough money for a 5-dollar lock. When the payment was made, she said something along the lines, wow it went through. I spoke with her multiple times (don't really remember what she said), but she just appears to smile and say slick things in the guise of customer service. Weird and very condescending.

I requested to transfer my membership to Summerville. She said that other people were trying to do the same, but it wasn't going through. That it was probably the billing cycle which is tomorrow.
Just left like a lot of BS.

Will be transferring as soon as possible. I rather Summerville get my money.

Brandon was very condescending when explaining to me that my 13 year old son couldn’t come workout with me. I explained that he’s been coming with me to the gym for almost a year. To this he said I could go back home and get his birth certificate to prove his age and get him a membership. When I told him this is the first I’ve heard of it in my almost 10 years of being a member, he quipped “well we’ve only been open for 4 years.” I’ve been a member since 2016 🙄

I’m extremely disappointed in Brandon’s behavior. I understand he’s got a job to do but he didn’t have to do it so rudely.

Why play the alarm for 5mins straight at this location. This location is rude - at 655pm on 9/28/25. The decibel are too high to have that playing for that long.. I see lawsuit if this location keeps doing this

pretty good gym but male staff members were a little uncomfortable... i would try to avoid conversation with a few of them. one asked if i was single and proceeds to make some other questionable conversation. not everyone wants to hear your personal life when trying to go to the gym. will not be back to this location.

For a person who is new to the whole gym thing, this location is great. Plenty of machines, lots of space, extra amenities for “black label” members, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. My favorite thing about app is the ability to track how many people are there before you go. It helps to plan if you don’t want to work out in a crowded gym.

I joined this gym, but they wouldn't let me sign up because I had to download the app. I said no, I don't want the app, and then they told me I couldn't provide a description. I asked for the supervisor and they told me there wasn't one. However, they signed me up and gave me a blank card, and I paid for the Black card. A few days later, I bought some protein juice and paid $2.00, with a 50% discount, as required for members with the Black card. But 2 days later, when I bought the same protein, they wanted to charge me full price, $4.00, saying that product wasn't eligible for a discount. Obviously, I didn't want it! I asked for the manager to clarify this situation, but they again told me there wasn't one! I showed the receipt from 2 days earlier, and they told me it was a mistake. I pay for the Black card, and it includes a 50% discount on all products in the refrigerator! What's the correct rule? Another thing I don't like is that, whether you like it or not, you have to listen to the terrible music they sometimes play. This music is awful, annoying, and often not to my taste! Furthermore, it takes away my concentration during workouts, I'm forced to use ANC headphones!

They have been over charging me for months. I obviously should have noticed sooner, my fault there. Although, when I inquired at the store they couldn't figure out why right away. They did some research and come to find out that my bank account, which had drawn from before, apparently declined it? So they double charged my credit card. I was told, "management won't do anything about it". Generally they are nice enough and the facility is ok for what it is. I wouldn't trust them with your money though, HARD PASS. Good luck.

I love planet fitness I was homeless for 3 years for $21 a month I got my black card membership I was able to take a shower anywhere there was a planet fitness Plus I got to use the tanning beds massage chairs exercise all that and I could bring a friend which usually was my boyfriend to take a shower when we showered but yeah it's a very fair price at the homeless person can pay for it then a person with a job can damn sure afford it

There is always a machine available, I never had to wait for one. There is plenty of room, where you are not bumping into people. I’ve been a member for a couple for years, and now I have my husband going there and I’m about to sign up my daughter.

Doesn't matter if I froze my account and blocked my card from them, I wasn't believable, they took my money anyway, and my card processor let them after 15 times in a row. Who does that? Called manager and she said I never froze, but I didn't have copy of freezing. Oh, they don't give you a copy, that's why, manager acknowledged that fact and still won't refund. Staff is great but the hours on the weekends are terrible for those that work weekends. I am a nurse that works 11 hours a day. But like today I get home at 630 and the gym closes at 7!!!! When I signed up it was 24/7. I am almost ready to go to a 24 hr. Gym. Can't work out on a Satuday or Sunday morning before work. Can't workout on a Saturday evening!!! That's not customer service. It's customer inconvenience.
