I recently returned to Planet Fitness after trying another gym, and I immediately regretted leaving. Planet Fitness definitely has a better layout and a wider variety of equipment. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they’ve upgraded since I last visited — the new fancy ellipticals are great, and the rearranged equipment makes the space feel much more open and organized.
The addition of tablet check-in for tanning and the massage chairs is a fantastic and convenient touch. The entire place was immaculate, and all the disinfectant bottles were fully stocked, which shows they prioritize cleanliness.
Not to mention, it’s also more affordable than the other gym I tried. I’m glad to be back!! Staff is way friendlier.

This Planet Fitness location is clean and well maintained. Many of the machines are a bit older but all were in good working order. This is one of the more spacious locations I've visited. There is a lot of open floor space for anyone wanting to exercise on the floor, which is something that my usual Planet Fitness sorely lacks. Also, this location has sufficient climate control to keep the building cool during hot weather(it was in the mid 90s outside when I visited). I point this out because the location I frequent is often quite warm during the day, even with the giant ceiling fans running. Overall, I enjoyed my workout here and will likely return here again.

Very large space, however the middle is very awkwardly too spaced out while the edges are way too crammed. The dumbbell space is also extremely crowded and small. There is almost no stretching area. The equipment is old but still usable. The bathrooms are very clean and nice and the rest of the gym is really clean.

I’ve witnessed this many times . There’s a white guy who works the front desk who ALWAYS harass’s the African Americans and the Mexican Americans . He does not look like them but for some reason he singles out those two groups of people to harass. I’ve ever seen him let a woman in who looked like him but she carried a DOG with her into the gym, and that’s very unsanitary!

Never any hand sanitizer. Water filter is always on red. Floors are gross and never get vacuumed. Toilet paper is hardly ever stocked in the bathroom. I've found clumps of hair in the showers. Same clumps stayed there for days so they don't clean like they should. This is the NASTIEST gym I've been to!! Also machines are always broken.

I love working out at Planet Fitness on West Marion road. The staff is really friendly and helpful and the majority of the clientele are friendly. For a regular membership you can't beat $10 a month. I have a black card membership which cost $20 a month. But it allows me to bring unlimited guests, use all the various massage machines, unlimited free tanning, etc.
They recently added a lot more lift cages and other machines that not only cut down on wait time, but provide a lot of options to expand your workout. I've been a member 8 years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

This is one of the best Planet Fitness locations I've been to. Thats saying a lot, because I've lived in a lot of different places (Arizona, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Louisiana, Texas, etc). The staff is always super polite and helpful. The entire place is always spotless, the equipment is clearly very well taken care of, and the members are allways happy as a result. I used to go to crunch and I’m pretty sure I’ll cancel with planet fitness they do not open on time. Monday says 5am employees don’t get there until 5:30am people are standing outside every Monday morning and Saturday is the same people have things to do that’s why we go to the gym early and then workouts has to be cut short because the employees are always late literally ALWAYS late. No apologies to the paying customers just late and nonchalant it’s ridiculous

Walked in to an extremely disrespectful staff. I have been touring for years and loved using planet fitness for my morning workout and shower before my shows. I always bring in my suitcase in every planet fitness across the country for years and not once has anyone stopped me. The staff was extremely condescending and discriminatory toward me and my band mates, who only wanted a lift and a shower. They refused us entry because I needed to bring in my suitcase for clothes after my shower, saying there is a rule that there are no suitcases allowed. When I have AGAIN… been to thousands of planet fitnesses across the country and not once been stopped. Ruined my morning. This staff is awful. Never coming here again. Gross. The showers were also extremely dirty.

I will never step foot in Planet Fitness again, all they want is your money. I cancelled my membership a few days before my monthly payment was due and I was still charged a week later. I was also charged an annual fee of $49, which I don’t mind paying but I was told by a Planet Fitness employee that they will charge the annual fee 2 months after I’ve been a member; I was only a member for a month.Also, on the Planet Fitness app, it states that the annual fee will be charged on 12/01 or a little after. They never explained any of this to me. Definitely taking my business elsewhere, I wouldn’t recommend Planet Fitness at all. On top of that, the staff (not all of them) was rude in person and over the phone. I called to speak to a manager inquiring about a refund, I was told he went to lunch but they will take down my information and have him call me; he never called. I called the next day early enough so I could catch him before he goes to lunch and I was left on hold for 30 min. When I spoke with someone over the phone finally, they told me something completely different about the billing. They stated that they will give my information to the manager of again but still, I haven’t received any calls or emails. Customer service, billing , everything about my experience was horrible

Disappointed. I enjoyed this gym for almost a year. Today I went in to cancel my membership in lieu of my husband and I finding out we’re expecting. Originally, I was planning on coming back to Planet Fitness after the baby is born but now I think I’ll just take my business elsewhere. I asked my husband to cancel my membership a week ago because I was too busy to get over there and they won’t allow cancellations over the phone. To my surprise, they wouldn’t allow him to cancel it either, even though it’s his card/our joint account on file for the membership. The next day I had available to cancel my membership was today, and coincidentally, also the next payment date for my membership. We came in around 8:40am to cancel my membership. I asked if my fee for this month could be refunded since I won’t be able to use it and I was told no. So I’ve essentially paid for another month of membership that I literally won’t be able to use. If Planet Fitness can’t be bothered to refund $25 that was JUST charged a couple hours ago to someone who’s been a member for almost a year, then I will take my business elsewhere when I go back into my fitness journey postpartum. Additionally, they claimed that my husband couldn’t cancel my membership for “security reasons” because they wanted to “make sure it was actually me wanting to cancel it,” but then they don’t ask for my ID or any proof of identity when I go to cancel my membership in person, which leads me to believe that they’re just being difficult and security has nothing to do with it. If it was truly about security, they would’ve asked for my ID when I came in to cancel my membership. On a more positive note, they do have good equipment, clean facilities and the Black Card Lounge is the best I’ve seen in any Planet Fitness. Staff is really friendly and for the most part, the hours are great. I just wished they were open longer on the weekends. Up until now, my time here was extremely enjoyable.
