The staff are friendly, and the facility is kept quite clean.
Most users wipe down the equipment after use, and I also noticed staff occasionally doing extra cleaning.
The restrooms are well maintained, and the showers are managed nicely as well.
Like other locations, it’s mainly a machine focused gym.
All the equipment is from Matrix, and everything is in great condition.

Just spoke to someone in the gym about my membership fees coming out and asking to get it refunded because I just had a child.
And he or she was like, oh, well, there’s nothing we can do, and membership fees don’t cheat refunded for any reason, sorry…
So I’ll be talking to the manager Monday, and if it doesn’t get refunded, I’ll be going to my bank and getting my money back.

I've been using Planet Fitness for several years now. I might be considered a "Lunk" based on size only, but I don't think throwing weights down is necessary, in fact I think someone that does that is missing out on the most important contraction and time under tension. I was going to cancel my membership and go to Crunch fitness, but I feel their membership practices are a little dishonest. At Planet Fitness if you are offered a discount to join you don't have to pay the difference a month or 2 later like at that other gym. You do miss out on the heavy dumbbells, pool, sauna, and hot tub which kinda makes me sad but I'll just go to the lake and use the cable machine instead of the small dumbbells. The cable machine is more effective anyway. I do value the small dumbbells for targeting small muscle groups. Everything you need to get bigger, stronger, and healthier is at the Daily Planet 💪🏻.

Working in the area so stoped in to use my black card membership to tan ! Most discussing places I have ever walked into and I have videos to share but apparently I can’t post All this hair and dirt and skin follicles under the acrylic on the tanning bed! It looks like they haven’t changed the bulbs in over a year ! Worst then the dust and dirts I experienced in the remodeling of the one in Indiana! Don’t go there to tan that’s all I can say !

As someone who would consider themselves a more serious lifter, I’ve been really impressed with Planet Fitness. The equipment is great — even for those of us who tend to be picky about our gym setups. The atmosphere here is a big part of why I keep coming back. The regulars are easygoing, respectful, and create a really positive environment to train in.

The staff deserves a special mention — especially Raquel and Greyson. Greyson is always friendly and genuinely happy to see you when you walk in, which sets a great tone for the workout. Raquel is constantly moving, helping members, and making sure everything runs smoothly. You can tell she really cares about the gym and its members.

Another huge plus for me as a busy professional: the gym never feels overwhelmingly crowded. I can consistently get in a solid workout and be out the door in under an hour, which fits perfectly into a tight schedule.

Planet Fitness has been a fantastic experience all around — whether you’re new to working out or a little more seasoned, it’s a great place to train.

I like this gym! Every time I walk in I'm greeted & they acknowledge me when leaving. The manager, Cole, is always out & about in the gym making sure the gym is clean, in order, & cleaning stations stocked. I really like the crowd meter on their app so I know whether or not it's busy when I want to go. The restrooms are always clean. I wish all members were respectful & responsible about cleaning equipment they've used.

I love Planet Fitness. I have been a member since 2014 starting with the facility on Wade Hampton boulevard. When they built the new facility Marion road off of White horse road I started using that gym singers it was exactly 3 minutes from my house.
They have everything you need and probably would want ( sans a hot tub or swimming pool.). For Black card members they have great benefits like bringing a guest, using any facility Nationwide, tanning beds, massaging beds and chairs, etc.
The staff is friendly and generally helpful. And the clientele is there to work out and go. In 10 years I've never had any serious problems there.

I joined this gym and probably one - two days later I cancelled the membership because I worked 8pm 4:30 am and knew I wasn’t going to be able to get there I canceled the membership online and then went to the location and spoke with one of the worker who confirmed that I had cancelled the membership why today I wake up to Planet fitness stole $79.00 out of my account I called the company to see how I can get my money back the lady and guy spoke to told me that they had to get into contact with their supervisor who wasn’t there and so I asked for other managers number and he told me that he didn’t have anyone number but he will pass my information along and then he said I had another account there with a different name if I already had account why do I need another one I’m pissed cause I know you have to scanned your ID and you can see I never enter this job at all and to get the run around about my money I work for is wrong I’m going to post this all over social media because this is wrong … I WANT MY REFUND NOW!!!

First and foremost, your staff is what makes the difference for me personally!!!!! I live 2 miles from the Simpsonville PF but I drive to the Woodruff Rd location for many reasons. Every guest is welcomed with a friendly and upbeat attitude. The "Cleanliness, Modern Facilities, and Staff" is what sets this locatiom apart from the rest!!! Blake is a pure asset to your establishment. He is hard to come by these days and I have watched him train new staff members to follow right behind his footsteps. His leadership abilities are fantastic. All employees ensure every guest is handled in a timely manner while keeping the facility clean and well stocked. Devon, Marcus, Alex, Harry (to name a few but all empoyees) -- are hard working and great people. I never knew them until I decided to try this location out and I am glad I did - everyone should be commended for working together as a team to ensure top notch service is delivered in every experience. No, no one paid me to write this, lol, it merely is the people who make a difference. Thank You!

Signed up for base membership and 1 year later they started auto drafting $30 rather than $10. It did not accidentally upgrade me to the black membership. This was separate from the yearly annual fee which was $49.

I went in person to discuss the issue and a week went by without the manager contacting me after leaving a message. Then it was suggested I had insufficient funds within my account which was insulting.

Unacceptable for a company to mess up a guests charges then not adequately provide helpful solutions for the inconvenience. I was told that it wasn't their fault.

The staff is nice but this gym uses older equipment and doesn’t have 2.5 lbs plates on the barbells which kind of messes up my routine. In addition some of the commodities are missing like red light therapy and it’s also kind of too small. I hope this location moves to a bigger place they need the ab world area I can’t really do everything here. Regardless very nice staff and it’s got a good crowd so I hope y’all upgrade sooner rather than later.

CRIME. ALERT!!!!!!! Wish I could give negative stars on this horrible location!!!! I work here during the week and worked out here on 3/12 for the second time. Basically filthy conditions and terrible locker rooms. I was working out for 30 minutes and I locked up my belongings in a zipped bag in a locked locker
Came back and found all my credit cards-5-stolen from my wallet . The staff would not call police. They took a report. I received fraud alerts from the local mall Apple store on 3 cards. Spent 3 hours at mall security and canceling cards. Now I am stuck here for 2 days using a digital wallet only. This planet fitness sucks! It's gangster environment breeds crime. Disgusting!!!! I will never be back and i will tell everyone I work with to stay clear.. I am also contacting corporate.

Locker room is always ice. Cold really sucks to take a shower here.

I like to come in around five in the morning. I have been to this location 3×3 times I have to wake up to attend it to get Hydro massage.

Today I could not like the guy up, so I just left and went to a different location

On top of the sleeping attendant, the ice, cold, locker rooms, the locker rooms are always dirty, extremely dirty

I'd like to first say this review isn't a reflection on wade hampton planet fitness. I love this location as it's close to my home and employees are great. For me it's the location, parking lot is always full of trash and on multiple occasions there are homeless people hanging out around the front door or in the parking begging for money. Hopefully the property manager will do something different.

My only complaint is that for some of the machines they have only one of, the most egregious being the one pec fly/rear delt fly machine. The one of there is particularly disappointing since no other machine there can replicate it or substitute as an alternative, (as well dumbbells are a poor substitute for it IMO), and additionally because it is actually two machines in one, for two completely different muscle groups. If they had at least two of the fly machines, that alone would complete the 5 stars for me. Club manager at least listened to my request. Perhaps one day they'll add another. When I don't have to wait for any machines, working out here is fantastic for whatever type of workout I'm doing that day. I usually don't have to wait long or at all, so for the most part my experience here has been great. Especially for $10/mo. Easily worth that.
