This is a good place to get a workout in. Dumbbells only go up to 75lbs, but they have a large selection of machines. They also have quite a few hammer strength and a nice cable section. If you are looking for cardio, they have a ton of elliptical, treadmill, stairsteppers, and bikes.

This location off of Woodruff Rd. is generally clean, well lit. Bathrooms and equipment work properly. Front desk staff are friendly enough.

My only criticism is that several different exercise machines have pads that are cracked, and some of the spray bottles for cleaning were empty.

I have been a member of Planet Fitness, since 2010. I have worked out in one of their gyms in 9 states. I think all of them are very good places to workout, however the one I go to now on Woodruff Road is the best . All of them have similar equipment and amenities, but the staff at Woodruff Road makes it #1. It is the most clean one and that is because I see a staff member , almost everyday, either mopping, vacuuming or dusting floor floors and equipment. Their attention to detail is appreciated.

I haven’t been to any of the other PF locations in Greenville to compare to, but given my experience at the Woodruff Rd location so far, I’m not sure I need to! I went on a day pass to check it out and by the end of my workout I was ready to sign up. I love that they have multiple pieces of the same equipment so even at the busiest time, you usually don’t have to wait for the machine you want. The Black Card Spa area is amazing with so many amenities, and the staff is by far the friendliest I’ve ever encountered at a gym. After only a few visits, they already know who I am before I’ve even scanned in.

HVAC set @ 60 with fans blowing full speed. 68-70 is fine, it's a gym, not a meat locker, a little swewt is expected.They never clean/ dust, and the place is disgusting. There are no tops on garbage cans with sanitizer hanging on dirty garbage, county and state health Depts have been contacted.

Went today. Tried to tan, guy said go to one, some one was in it. They came out and handed me the number. I thought this is just how they did it here. Stepped in. Machine was filthy, tried to start it. It said I selected high and would start automatically in a few or to hit start. Neither worked. After over ten minutes, I got dressed and left. Passed the number to the counter. They said have a nice day. I just walked out disgusted. I go to a lot of the planet fitness's in the area. The always ask about eye wear, If I need anything, some if will have you wait to clean them, they ask you how much time you want. Idk if it was an off day for staff, but they did not ask any questions or give any instructions. So I didn't bother to inform them the machine was dirty as can be and did not operate the 15 mins I was in the room. I was just disgusted and over it. But I don't want anyone else ruining their day by stopping by. If you want a clean pf go to #Clemson. My favorite location

I had a lot of anxiety about going to a big gym and had a hard time thinking I’d be looked at, but it turns out, because I started going regularly, that I’m okay going for myself and it doesn’t matter about other people. I am used to the layout now and enjoy going. The music is good so I don’t need headphones here. I feel the results. All around happy to be there.

The gym is very, very clean. The equipment looks newer and well cared for. The spa area is a huge plus. There is a piece of equipment that I used in physical therapy that Planet Fitness has that my last gym did not. Pricing is very fair and I can bring my son with me at no extra cost. Very friendly staff. Never a wait for equipment regardless of time of day. I really enjoy the HydroBeds (water massage tables) and the tanning booths after a good workout. You must bring a bottle/container to get water, though, as you're not allowed to drink from the fountains. The workout drinks could also be a little more affordable, or the 50% Black Membership discount apply to all of them and not just the bottled waters. Just wish they'd offer shuttle service to and from the gym as I'd probably go even more often...lol. 90% of working out is just making it there.

Hard to remain consistent at a gym that isn’t consistent itself. This is my first time being a Planet Fitness member and started off fine but think I’m going to move on. They struggle to open on time on weekends and 24 hour availability is only on week days. Reliability is an issue here.

I still can't believe what my $20/ month plan allows for me. Tanning, water beds ( with incred massage) and the best massage chairs, bathrooms have every imaginable feature, and the equipment is state of art. They feature a personal trainor at no extra fee, and staff are friendly and helpful.

Well we use to like this gym. BUT now it's being a problem. They love to ring the bell on people but not the ones they need to ring it on.
People will sit at the machines on their phone, texting people and on social media hogging machines. When you ask if they are finished (because it limited number of machines) you are given an attitude.
Management needs to really get this under control, it's not being considerate of others. Planet
Fitness is known for advertising fairness to everyone...this location is not living up to Planet Fitness values.

I’ve been going to this gym almost a year now and it served me well as a beginner but functionally the layout of the equipment kind of stinks now that I’m more intermediate in my routine. There’s not enough room to use mats/free weights/kettlebells in the functional training area when it’s busy, barbells are in an awful place to actually use them, free weights heavier than 20lbs are in an area that has 4 benches and not much room for anyone else, and not enough cable machines to accommodate more than a few people at a time. I’d improve my rating just for a layout redesign but additional cable machines would be cool too. Ever since I’ve seen the Cherrydale Crunch I can’t unsee it and for the same price this gym is lacking.

But pretty disappointed that they closed down the tanning station and massage chairs at 5:00 and close the entire gym on Sundays. Closing at 7:00 is early enough. Please don’t limit the use of the facilities even more by closing those services down 2 hours beforehand.

Harry the fitness trainer is great. He designed a good beginning program for me (I have not been to a gym in 20 yrs) and made sure I was using all the equipment correctly. It is obvious he is beloved by the members of the gym and his coworkers. Also the front desk staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. I definitely recommend the Woodruff Rd location.

Great place to work out. Clean for the most part. Idk what’s going on but like… these dudes just literally sit around and talk all day and night long. They’re ALWAYS on their phones. Sitting on the counters behind the front desk. One dude literally looked at me while sitting on the counter and kind of rolled his eyes like ‘uh what do you need’.. It seems like I’m an inconvenience. I do not like that the job consists of very light duties and they still don’t want to help.

Been super satisfied with my membership. Harry the trainer is AWESOME, super down to earth and helpful. The staff are friendly, and the other gym-goers are respectful. The only thing I don't love is the crowd of young people that get a bit rowdy at night (and sometimes even during the day) that loiter in the parking lot. They make me a bit nervous, but I feel safe in the gym.

Edit 10/10/2023: The crowd that used to loiter in the parking lot hasn't been around in the last couple months, so I'd say that the overall atmosphere has changed for the better since I started my membership last year!
