Excellent Planet Fitness, is a Excellent cooperation each facility are basically the same but can have unique differences that give us options. We live about 10 mins between 2 different locations and enjoy each. Highly recommend whether your at home or traveling. Go for the black card it's worth the difference.

Its clean but crowded, especially in the summer with tourists and the kids work out free program. Not sure why they need more kids and congestion. I find it less crowded mid afternoons. Seems smaller than the other Planet Fitnesses I've been to. 3/4 of the place is cardio and a small section for free weights. And 3/4 of the people use the free weights. Time to change thier philosophy to adapt to what people want

This is a great Planet Fitness! Everything is new and sparkly clean! We are vacationing here and they do a week pass for $30 - which is a great deal! I also like how they keep it cold in there so you can work up a sweat. Everyone here (staff wise) was very nice and I highly recommend visiting if you are in town!

This is a good Planet Fitness. I've seen worse. The more I work out here the more I like it for what it is, a community fitness facility. Hit the shower here once and it was a good shower, good water pressure and hot water. I only work out here in the winter so don't know about air flow in winter it was comfortable, sometimes crowded. Lots of older people staying fit so that's a good thing and the people I've met have been really nice. It's a big gym and the Planet Fitness People are nice. FYI, I'm not judging you! (maybe just a little)

I spend four weeks every Jan-Feb and enjoy working out at this PF. I have noticed a big improvement this year in the cleanliness and speed of equipment repair under the new manager. I see her out on the floor with her staff cleaning every day. Previously, I never saw a manager and repairs took forever. I'm spoiled because our PF's in Cincinnati are among the cleanest and well-staffed. I agree that the water tastes funny so I bring my own. I also wish they would get a decline bench that has raised legpads (similar to Blufton) so it could actually be used for declines. I also agree that it is often too hot and muggy, especially in the dumbbell area. I assume this is due to overly frugal policies controlled by ownership rather than staff.

I’ve been working out in gyms for 30 years. There are 2 top priority things you need for a great gym.

1. Good equipment
2. Air flow and regulation

The gym needs improvement on air flow. Some days we can’t breathe in there. The one day I did complain to staff & I wasn’t the only one. I was told they aren’t allowed to change the temp, they don’t have access. We are in South Carolina and the temperature changes like the wind so staff should have access. The other issue is the filter from the water fountain needs to change. It taste like fish water if these two items were altered it’d be a great gym. It’s pretty clean and the equipment is new

Just told to leave Planet Fitness as they were closing at 1:00pm because corporate told them that Hurricane Debby was turning around and hitting us. I guess our City, Sheriff, everyone needs to be advised as they have given the all clear. The gym was packed when we were all told to leave. me and my friend were on a vacation and we wanted to stay in shape but the only gym nearby was a planet fitness. we signed up for a free highschool membership and went to the gym the next day. anyways, we arrive there and the staff kept haggling my friend about his membership, but the whole time he could have just given them his phone #. it’s a typical planet fitness that is supposed to protect everybody, but it really just judges younger kids (not smart when you offer them a free program, if they’re trying to make planet fitness “hip with the kids” or something. i am generally a very positive person, but when elderly people criticized another teenager who was very fit (he is apparently a “lunk”) it makes me wonder if their policy that they have printed on EVERY machine is true. i never thought i would see the day when the people who work out at a gym get criticized, but apparently cardio rules or something.

anyways, that’s not even the main reason for this review. I GOT REJECTED FOR WEARING SLIDES?? i was literally going to do a back day but apparently i need good shoes even though wearing slides has no affect on how i can do back workouts. i get that elderly people might need a place of comfort, and i understand that, but having a “lunk alarm” and stereotypes about people who work out kind of just ruins it for the rest of us…

I have to say nearly all the PF gyms I have worked out at throughout the states since I've been a member, I've had a great experience. The facilities, the staff, location, etc. But, this one we had the worst experience! The facility was great, nice location, exercise equipment was outstanding...but, the staff treated me and my wife like total outsiders> And when I say outsiders(because of our skin color, because we are interracial couple).
It was our wedding/honeymoon weekend and my wife and I decided to go and have a great exercise workout before our wedding day. As soon as we entered we were a bit ignored by the staff not even greeted like they do at all the other PF gyms. Wonderful customer service?? Not like it was extremely busy as it wasn't. When I went to scan my membership app and I told the staff member that it was our first time there, right away both staff members gave us this look of "NOT WANTED". (I don't remember the names of both staff members, but it was two young females. One was Caucasian and the other African-American). So being nice like we are and pushing forward, I asked the Caucasian staff member if my wife could use the massage bed after her workout and she replied that she couldn't because only I can because I'm the primary on the membership. HHHHMMMM???? I recall in my membership that members are allowed to bring guests and that their guests are entitled to nearly the same activities and entitlements that PF offer I told the staff member that at our other gym that my wife has access to the massage bed always. Her response was that their not suppose to do that?? NO, the problem is that this gym has preferential treatment of its members? Obviously we fell into the color blind category!!
So after all that nonsense we were then asked or more like told that they had to take our photos before entering? When I asked why the staff member stated they do that for new members that come to that facility for the first time?? First off, that's an invasion of privacy and taking our photos is an exploitation of identity theft. Plus, I followed up with PF and that is not a policy to my understanding clearly as I have spoken with other staff members to include management. As well, I have never had my photo taken at any other PF gyms I have visited throughout the states. Once again this is a complete picture of racial profiling. We agreed to the photo shots and they stated they would be deleted immediately after our departure. My wife and I continued on with our workout, but did not feel comfortable whatsoever there and were appalled with the absolute treatment we received. We ended up just doing a short cardio workout and left!!!
It's sad that this type of racial profiling still goes on and in a place like this Planet Fitness location. This is where you go to enjoy and relax. To finish out a great exercise workout where you can have an great rejuvenating feeling afterwards. NOT HERE!!! So be aware members and first timers that may be of a different interracial ethnicity going to this particular location as you might get profiled and have your photo taken and stored away in their data records or who knows what??
Maybe those two particular staff members are no longer there or are still there? Corporate HQ office should definitely take note of actions like this committed by PF employees(EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYMENT GUIDELINES) and terminate their employment. No purpose to have people like that represent such a popular gym franchise.
We will never return there. The only reason why I gave this location a one star so that I could post this and let it be known of our experience there which was dreadful.
We are treated always with kind greetings at our home PF gym and never ever have to have our picture taken.

Reading the reviews of this planet fitness does bot match what ive walked into for the last week.
Womens changing stalls and showers are always dirty, same trash, and hair clumps on the floor for 3 days straight. They have no hooks out side the showers so you have your towel over the curtain which gets wet no matter how you move the shower head.
You can tell they dont wipe down the actual shower head by the lyme build up. When you first walk in it looks clean until you reach the locker rooms. They also are one of the few planet fitnesses that arent open 24hrs at least a couple days a week, so there is really no excuse to why i walk in at opening time and bathrooms are dirty.

Shady activity! Signed up in November for the Black Card, even took a picture of the sign that day with the date on it that I signed up and that said “$24.99 No Commitment”. Went to cancel my membership and they charged me 2 months cancellation fee and said I signed up during a promotional period that requires a fee to cancel. ??? They couldn’t even tell me what the promotion was or what I was supposed to receive for it. Just said I owed $54+. I wasn’t given the option that month to not be a part of whatever mysterious promotion that was running. Their brand is literally no contract/no commitments. Who would think it would be otherwise?
Be careful.
In addition, I was canceling because this location is overcrowded and SANITATION IS LACKING.
