What happened to the ab decline bench? The new people at night aren't very helpful and im not saying anything bad about them. I have a routine and now a peice of equipment I use 3 times a week is gone with no replacement... this equipment has helped me with core strengthing. I would like to see it back or a new one in its place. This may be the deal breaker for me to find another gym.

I love that the gym area is always clean and welcoming. Employees are always friendly and helpful. I would love to give a big shout out to Dayton the trainer. He has helped me along in my journey showing me different exercises and equipment to use. He is always encouraging and kind. The hydro massage beds are also great and so are the tanning booths.

I would not recommend this planet fitness to a dog! I had the worst experience with the general manager at this location and will not be using my membership. He needs to be schooled in customer service and people skills. I have never been so disrespected in my entire life. Don’t walk RUN !

Beware this business is not even accredited by the BBB, and has a C+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. This gym is pretty gross. Just pay attention walking in. Parking lot is littered with trash, meanwhile the introverted employees stand behind the desk and play on their phones. Barely a Hello when you walk in. I had this gym at a 2 star until the Assistant Manager decided to run her mouth. I don’t argue with children, I’ve taken my business to another gym. Maybe once this manager and group cycle out I’ll give it another shot. Good luck!

P.S. Tried to talk to the club manager…..he is always either busy and or in the bathroom. Manager…..is quite the stretch.

I came in on Sunday April 13th and they were about to close in 8 minutes. The door was locked and this girl who worked there came over to the door, unlocked it, opened the door, asked if I needed anything, and informed me they were closing. I asked her if I could please get in the tanning bed and that I had a long night at work. She let me in and they waited 4 minutes past their closing time so I could relax for 7 mins. I wish I would have got the girl's name so I could give her a compliment and let her manager know she really made my night by showing me kindness.

I love my Planet Fitness! The staff is awesome and the equipment is always clean and well maintained. I especially love using the hydration massage after my workout to get out the kinks. I only wish the location closest to my house had the red light therapy and hybrid tanning! If have to drive 20 minutes to use these at the next closest gym and then I’m limited to the number of times I can visit there without making it my home gym. Why can’t they all have the same amenities?

Went into this location to sign up for a membership and upon signing up I was not fully explained how the dollar down promotion works until after the charge hit my bank account. I called the club and spoke with Johanna and she explained to me that it was because of the billing. That I signed up. Nowhere in the advertisement does it states that you need to sign up in a certain billing period and I was not explain that as I was signing up. I even stated that I was signing up because of the dollar down promotion and You would think that it would trigger the individual to say hey, the dollar down promotion only applies. Doing a certain billing period not allow me to go through the whole process of signing up just for the surprise of $30 coming out of my account. So be sure to get all the details and promotions and information before you sign up and be sure to question the front desk to ensure that you don't get a surprise like I did.

This location does not have red light therapy which is a disadvantage. It is also not a true 24/7 location which is also inconvenient. I find myself traveling into west Columbia when I want to use red light therapy or need a later time on weekends. They did however upgrade their equipment recently which was nice but they took away one row of ellipticals, kind of bummed about that decision but you can’t make everyone happy. Anyways , they did get more stair steppers in, previously only having 5. So that’s a step in the right direction. Ha. This location also recently updated their hydrobeds, which are very comfortable but the pressure isn’t as strong as their older models. But again, you win some and you lose some. It will be nice when the other location opens up in hopes that some of the traffic coming in moves over there; it has been more crowded lately. Overall still a nicely maintained location without all the perks of the black card membership. ADDED : Because it wont let me directly reply to the response from owner...The crowd meter app does not move much from 2 bars at the most even though it can be packed. The crowd meter is not a good way to judge the crowd at all, that might need to be a corporate update or reanalysis for more accuracy.

Staff is highly disrespectful. The guy that works the front desk with the glasses and the stupid beard yelled at my partner in the middle of the gym in front of everyone. I like the selection of equipment (hammer strength is my favorite) and the large number of cardio pieces of equipment as it is utilized for longer periods of time. The bathrooms are clean even when it is busy around 'rush hour' in the evening. Although there is a number of benches in the dumbbell area, it can get crowded but there are alternative pieces of equipment to utilize if it is full. Even when it is full during rush hour, there is enough parking available.

Incredibly crowded. Good luck getting a workout in during peak hours. It’s not bad in other gyms in the area in peak hours. This one is also Full of teenagers and some adults who dress inappropriately. I don’t get the point of going here if no one’s going to dress a little more conservatively(lunk advertising isn’t enforced at all)If you can only afford the 10$ a month price then fine. But consider this, you have to pay an annual fee of 50$ as well so you are paying 14$ a month technically. Other places like wolf’s gym you can go with a contract for 20$ a month for 2 years and even people who go there don’t dress in pjs or in extremely revealing clothing like here.

I greatly appreciate the extended weekday hours. I normally hit the gym around 10 am. or 3 pm. Occasionally, my schedule is busy during the day, and having the flexibility of a 7 or 8 pm workout is awesome. The other morning, I woke up early (4 am ish) and couldn't get back to sleep. Aha! Productive moment..... hit the gym and catch a nap later... most excellent! (I work school year, so I'm off during the summer. )
I've found the atmosphere in the gym to be really friendly. Occasionally, I have someone work in with me on a machine when they're waiting (I have a minute or so between sets anyway). Nearly everyone is attentive to wipe down the equipment after they're done. 👍
The staff are always very helpful and willing to answer any questions. The gym is always clean as well as the locker rooms. I greatly appreciate their work and their willingness to keep the gym open 24 hours Monday to Friday.
I very much recommend Planet Fitness in Lexington!

Just got started on trying to live a healthier life and I am very pleased with the staff, cleanliness, and perks of being a Black Card Member! Went in for the first time tonight and was given a tour, ended up working out for three hours ((there is such a huge variety of things to do - including stretching equipment!)) and then was also able to tan afterwards!!
I absolutely love that there are guides everywhere ((a gym setting is so different than working out at home, and I am definitely new to a lot of the equipment)) - workouts in the app, instructions on the equipment as well as QR codes that can be scanned to be able to watch video demonstrations on how to use it, a Trainer who will help you come up with a fitness plan and help you through the use of the equipment, and there is Always staff available too!!
If you're needing to give yourself a break from life, and some selfcare while being in a judgement free zone, I highly recommend PF of Lexington!!

FOUR TIMES the ladies room has been out of toilet paper. FOUR! They keep saying it’s because they have no female staff but they cannot put a sign up to have members stay out while they restock toilet paper?! Absolutely ridiculous!!!! I have told the front desk often and it just keeps happening! The they reassure me it won’t happen again and it happens again. Also the tanning beds often are dirty and there are no barrels for paper towels in the rooms.
