The reason for the 1 star is because they still use ABC financial for billing. I just started my plan 4 days ago for $1 down and was hit with the full amount 2 days later. 1 day later and I was hit for $40 for a late fee??? I haven't even stepped into the gym and only moved here 6 days ago with a plan that's 4 days old and being hit with a late fee... very poor way to start off. Get rid of ABC financial. When you call they put you on hold for hours when you have a complaint, very un user friendly.

I was asked to turn my shirt inside out by the new GM Jacob. For a woman in a bikini. I’ve seen women in the gym with butt cheeks hanging out and more clevage than they should be showing, and I love me some titties! So that says a lot.

I went to this location a couple weeks ago and I will NEVER go back! I wasn’t greeted upon entering (fine not a big deal), the woman’s bathrooms were gross (I wish I took pictures…), I felt like I was being watched and pretty sure at one point being filmed (though I can’t prove that), and when I asked the staff a couple of questions I was laughed at and talked down to like I was dumb. I will never go back to the Carolina Forest PF. Conway PF will be the only one I go to from now on! The staff is always nice and friendly and I’m treated like a person!

I enjoy coming to Planet fitness and knowing that the staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and follow all safety procedures. I was recently in line behind a woman at the black spa card appointment area that was throwing a fit over being asked to check in and see her eyewear, and I felt like this was completely unacceptable, and the staff were friendly confidence and secure in their answers to her.

Kudos to all of the employees at the front desk that are to keep cool, calm and collected when being attacked for simply doing their job.

The gym is clean and tended to when asked. Equipment fixes are on the rise. I see the maintenance man in the gym looking at machines and checking on parts.

Had an account opened fraudulently using my information, front desk rep closed the account remotely for me to avoid any additional fraudulent charges, very thankful. Then was told to call billing to request a refund, called billing to be told only the club can process refunds. Reached back out to the club and asked to speak with the manager, got ‘assistant manager’ Gabe on the phone. After acknowledging the account was open virtually, has no picture of me, and that the account was CLOSED due to FRAUD, Gabe proceeded to tell me he couldn’t process a refund because there just isn’t enough proof the account was open fraudulently and I would need to call billing to file a request. I already have an email from billing informing me that only the club can process refunds. Then after lying to me about his capabilities, Gabe began to try and fight with me and accuse me of lying about the account. Disrespectful, lazy, and absolutely shameful. If you care to use planet fitness, use a different location. Gabe doesn’t care about his company’s policies and apparently the location manager shares that drive by letting Gabe take managerial calls. Absurd.

This Planet Fitness location is close to our parents' house in Conway (near CCU), so we decided to come here to get a workout in. There was one person at the desk, and I scanned in. There are a lot of machines at this location, and they are placed very closely to one another, so we did feel a little closed in at some parts. I also noticed that there was a difference in clientele compared to our home gym in NC- there were more older folks who liked to say hello or stare at you as you walked past them. At our home gym, we have a mix of ages, and most people keep to themselves. I liked that this gym had six stair climbers and lots of treadmills. We also did the Smith Machine and the hip abductors and adductors. It felt a little stuffy in there air-wise. The parking lot is nice and has plenty of spaces. Overall, we had a good time here and got what we needed to get done.

Equipment is old, falling apart. All the leather seats are cracked and broken. Machines are broken all the time. The water fountains have no pressure. The long barbells are rusted and the weights are loose. There's much better and updated PF Equipment out there.

I love this gym
I am a member at this gym almost 5 months and I cannot say how much I appreciate the workers starting with a manager Shelby. She always make sure she says hi when you come in and goodbye when you leave With the smile.😊 And I want to thank Matt His hospitality and friendship I feel like I know this guy forever then I want to thank Maddie and Mia. They are the best. I feel very comfortable working out at this gym. I feel like I’m at their Home with a welcome they give to all the members. Thank you again for everything what you guys do.

There's always clean equipment to use and if someone is on the machine you're looking for, there's plenty more to do something else while you wait. The staff is always nice and welcoming even at ungodly hours since this establishment is 24 hour. They play decent music and have the option for customers to DJ. The bathrooms, in my experience, are always stocked and not visibly dirty.

Excellent establishment and gym. I have been to other Planet Fitnesses in the area and none come as close. All the areas are clean, the bathrooms and paper towel dispensers are almost always stocked, and there is a wide array of equipment available. There are a few machines/areas that get backed up during busy hours, and there are also way too many treadmills. But overall the gym is good and you can get what you need to do at most times of day.

First and foremost this is suppose to be a planet fitness not a gym for ex Gold gym members that are to cheap to say at their muscle gym. People still walking around with water jugs, no sleeve tee-shirts, using 2 and 3 machines at the time. Do you rules or not? The most annoying and frustrating thing about this PF is that the equipment stays broken for weeks at a time. Don't tell me they are all awaiting parts because that is BS. Do some preventive maintenance and maybe members can enjoy all equipment all the time. Just an idea but...Get a dedicated person for repairs! Maybe the so call manager is the owner...get with the program!

The place is awesome, the employees are awesome. But the upkeep and management needs a tune up. Took this location 7+ months to fix the Hybrid Tanning Booth and now 8 of the 11 tv screens are out and have been out for at least 2 to 3 weeks after a high wind weather day. It doesn't take a rocket scientist much to call Direct TV and have the satellite dish realigned. I have discussed this with the staff and all they can say is we know, we keep saying something about it but nothing we can do. I changed my rating due to the response from the owner. The TV's are not being upgraded, they are all out of alignment.

They should change the name to the TikTok lounge. Rampant cellphone use ties up the equipment! Just take a stroll through the gym and you will find a good majority of the equipment is not being used for workouts, but mostly for people to plop down and use their cellphones. I always keep an eye on the machines I want to use next. One guy just sat for over 15 minutes using his cellphone and not working out…and yes, I called him out! It would be nice if management would address this issue, it’s out of control.

The response below does not surprise me. PF knows full well most people will not do this. I mentioned above that this behavior is rampant. The manager is fully aware of this, he makes frequent trips around the facility. Unless you want to put me on the payroll, how about being proactive and take care of it yourself?

Plenty of parking regardless day or time coming.

The bad:
Internet connection is horrific. Cuts out constantly.
6 step climbers and 4 have been out of service since been coming to this location.
They do not offer the blue light tanning bed, wellness pod, or body enhancement machine.

I don’t have any complaints about this gym at all other than there’s only one plate loaded leg press and the women’s bathroom tends to be a little wet.

I work as a server in a restaurant in Myrtle Beach, hours have been decreased so hadn’t paid my membership payment on time. I found a new job got paid and this gym is the first place I called to get myself back in there. I spoke with a very friendly employee Mia, she was very understanding and went to ask her manager if my $30 worth of late fees could be waived. I’m a former gym manager, and I know that this can be done fairly quickly and at little risk to the gym. So I was surprised when my request was denied. Because there was “no error on their part.”I’m well aware that I’m not entitled to getting my late fees waived however it would’ve been a great step in building positive customer relationships which should be more important than $30. It gives me a bitter feeling about going back :(

I've been a member at Planet Fitness for a while, but my experience has truly improved since their new night shift employee, Tarrence, came on board. They truly are judgement free at this location👀The 3 or 4 times I’ve stopped in at this one , they have been very accommodating, helpful And non judgmental. I’m a full time stealth camper, 1 because I can’t afford thousands of dollars in rent monthly(I pay a hefty truck payment for my home on wheels) 2 because I’m hoping to buy something eventually but also, I don’t have $10,000 on hand …to just move into an apartment and that’s around about, what one would need. I work and go to school , like lots of folks . I’m a normal girl,and I am simply enjoying life to the fullest and focusing on the important things , with planet fitness, I’ve lost 78 pounds and quit smoking ciggs. I have visited over 28 parks and forests in a year. From Florida to Washington.I am in the best mental and physical shape of my life and I appreciate the welcoming atmosphere, caring vibes and great energy at this location 💕I face A LOT of judgement in my daily life, so the good experiences and the kind ppl I meet , I never forget 🙏🏼Thanks to all the staff at pf, y’all are 🔥

5 stars because 24 hours open 7 days a week. Not all PF are 24/7 anymore and its frustrating lately because I workout overnights. My hours are different than most of the world as a traveling nurse. I can work nights or days and both. I was disappointed in New Jersey because none of them are 24 hours, and coming mainly from Texas a lot of ours are 24hr and if one closes, theres another PF 5 miles down the road that is.

Worst experience ever .. ice cold showers! No posting on the shower curtains . A lame white board out in the gym area! Called from dressing stall.. shivering.. picked up after 27 rings! Told me to go home to take a shower.. because they have not had it fixed for MONTHS!! & you either will get scolding hot or ice cold.. Black card member .. my home is over 12 hours from here. And then she said well just go to another club! The girl in the other stall needed shower after her work out to go to her job. She was freezing too

Why can't Planet Fitness in Glenforest get their showers in order!! It's been 2 weeks.... TWO WEEKS that your hot water hasn't worked, people like to workout before work and I hate going to work without properly washing!! This is inexcusable! Fix it!!!! Hey, me and my girlfriend went to get a hydro lounge massage tonight Friday 3/15 at 11 and we scanned our phone and noticed there was no employee so we tried phoning with the walkie-talkie they left but I didn't get any response after 3 attempts. We only waited about ten minutes and then someone told me he was in the employee room asleep( an older fella a gym goer told me that). I went back behind the counter and started the hydro massage beds myself so it wasn't really an issue. I love the fitness club here so I wanted to leave five stars but just wanted to let you know about it. Maybe it's not true but just wanted to give a heads up.

Just as they are demanding, they should also keep the gyms clean and all the machines working. Sometimes there are even more than three broken machines in all the gyms.

Jimmy and Shelly are awesome! I live nearby, and these two associates are always on board with greeting you, asking you about signing up for hydro massaging or other specialty services for the day! They'll accommodate you with programming the TV monitors for your viewing pleasure as you workout! When they're refreshing the sanitizer stations, they'll ask you " how's your workout going!" There's never a" breakdown " of any gear! The facility "looks" spanking brand new despite the fact that it's been open for a year or so! And the "comraderie" of the members are always fresh, and friendly, especially towards "new" members or visitors from out of town!

About 3 years ago l had surgery on my back and l finally got back to going to planet fitness. Wow, l had a wonderful and rewarding time, back didn't hurt, knees felt amazing, and l have Mr. Arthritis, an unwelcome friend.(smile). If you haven't been, then you need to go. Bless you. Granny

Been going here for a while. Staff worker named Thad approaches me mid workout, asks “habla ingles?” I was perplexed and didn’t know how to respond, he continues to ask this again (repeatedly in Spanish). I’m American, born and raised here, im not Spanish but regardless very odd behavior. Proceeds to tell me there was a loud noise when I completed my leg press set when I put the weights back (was doing 4 plates not sure how this won’t make a noise), but anyhow this encounter was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. He stated he “never saw me before so wanted me to know”, (I’ve been going here for a couple years with no problems, always keep it professional and I used to work at a gym). I am not coming back here. I told him that the initial greeting was awkward, his response was “I wasn’t assuming I just deal with a lot of Hispanics”. WHAT? As if that was supposed to make it better. People around me overhead the conversation and everyone was as confused as I was at this interaction initiated by this staff member Thad.

Clean lockerooms and equipment. The spa has the newest massage chairs! The blonde behind the counter took her time getting off her phone when I came to the counter and unfortunately I asked her a question and got a nasty response
