I have only been here a couple times, I went into the room with a timer that beeps when you take breaks and when you work out. Only one lady was in there, was minding my business laughing enjoying my workout and listening to music as I do. Mind you I was showing visible emotions, enjoying myself. I time myself so my breaks are not longer then a min and a half. Half way through a young man walks in, he's listening to headphones working out the entire time. I was only in there 10 mins, toward the end of my second workout in there. This woman, who was in there entire time, sees workers coming in. She randomly starts bitching at the employees " Can you make these people show emotion..... I come to the gym to get away from men! The employees immediately starting trying to tell us how to work out when we did nothing wrong. Didn't repremend the psycho woman who just flipped and broke all true planet fitness rules! I'm from Dover, NH I've been going to planet fitness 21 years, im from the town it was invented the first planet fitness ever! "Judgement Free zone my ass" probably won't return here during day shift until they're fired! Not to mention everytime I've walked into this planet fitness the employees are talking to each ignoring customers or just rude as hell. There was one sweet girl there the first-time I went, she probably quit if she's smart. Little River, SC they are much nicer. I usually never have problems with rude employees until this location. It's usually the business and the way they run that makes planet fitness suck. The employees are usually nice atleast, Ive been thinking about finding a new gym for years and this may be the straw breaker.

I would like to report a very disappointing situation that happened recently with me at the Seaboard Street Planet Fitness in Myrtle Beach.

While I was simply walking on the treadmill and talking to her daughter on FaceTime, the manager , a woman named kathy (not sure about the last name) approached me in a very rude and unprofessional way.

Kathy started shouting at me , accusing her of recording videos, which was not true. I was not filming or taking any pictures. I was only on a call with my do. The manager then tried to grab my phone, which was completely inappropriate and disrespectful.

After that, kathy went back to the office and came out with a paper, which she threw into my bag instead of handing it to her politely. She also threatened to cancel my membership without any reasonable explanation.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable and humiliating, especially in a place that promotes a “Judgment Free Zone.” We expect the Planet Fitness supervision to review this situation and take appropriate action.

No one should be treated with such lack of respect inside a fitness facility. I truly hope management takes this seriously and ensures that kathy’s attitude and treatment toward members are corrected immediately.

Management - please get rid of this strange bright strobe light in the “relaxing” area. As someone with a serious brain condition this can trigger pretty substantially, this light is awful. And I’m assuming nobody who is optimally functioning looks at it and is like “wow, nice atmospheric addition!” Lmao

It’s strange and like it’s signaling something is wrong. Anyone who is epileptic or any light sensitivity I recommend you do NOT use the “black card spa” area as this is dangerous. And ugly? Lol Save the electricity and people’s brains. Toggle that switch off.

What happened to my Fit On Membership? Are you no longer offering this? My Fit On provider indicated they paid Planet Fitness Myrtle Beach SC for the month of September yet I was rudely told by Vanessa that my membership was cancelled in August. ??? I have been a planet fitness for decades and decided to join at another location using my Fit On membership.

Came to MB on vacation and needed gym access. This PF was clean, not super crowded, and staff were friendly! I was in and out within 90 minutes, and there was no waiting for treadmills. Appreciate that my membership allows me access everywhere I visit.

I happened to be near Seaboard and visiting Planet Fitness worked well into my afternoon schedule. To be honest, I prefer the intimacy of the Murrells Inlet facility but this particular club location is a very large, very clean facility with normal people and a helpful staff.

I really enjoy coming to this Planet Fitness location at 1145 Seaboard St
Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 The gym is always clean, welcoming, and never feels overcrowded. The staff is friendly and helpful, creating a comfortable environment for all fitness levels. I do some light workouts, but my favorite part is using the hydro massage beds — they’re amazing for relaxation and recovery, and always in great condition. This location makes it easy to unwind, stay active, and feel great. Highly recommend!

Planet fitness takes a lot of flack, but personally, I enjoy training here. Although some staples in the area of compound lifts are missing like power racks, deadlift stations, or barbell bench press stations, the alternatives can be achieved at Planet Fitness. What I have found by getting and committing to a fitness center that didnt have exactly what I was looking for is that it had the consequence of getting me to think outside of the box, embrace some change and see some gains. I love PF and have recently enjoyed accessing PF locations in the places I travel to. I love the consistency even across state lines and bringing a little bit of Wilmington pride to another states gym adds a little bit extra motivation when visiting other gyms. All in good fun and the people and staff across every PF I have entered are great.

I literally hate this place!!! I refuse to ever go to a plant fitness ever again! I’m a new mom who works full time and they refuse to cancel my membership without me going up there. The club has gone down hill ever since the remodel. The workers are gathered behind the desk talking and on their phones. Two people will clean while five talk. The women's locker room always has a man in there cleaning. I was using the restroom when my feet were hit three times with the mop... I was surprised and offended to see a gentleman mopping the floor when I left. While some of the employees were friendly the facility is not not up to the standards of other Planet Fitness clubs farther away

Planet Fitness provides a great experience with helpful and courteous staff, clean facilities, and modern equipment—all at a fair price.

There are a few minor areas for improvement:

Tanning Rooms: Not all locations have a consistent setup. Some tanning rooms have shelves and hooks for personal items, while others do not. Standardizing this across all locations would enhance convenience.

Tanning Bed Maintenance: The lower Lexan panels under the tanning beds should be cleaned more thoroughly to remove dirt, hair, and other debris.

Cryotherapy Chair: It would be great if the software allowed users to choose between all heat, all cold, or a combination, rather than always including both. Different users have different preferences.

Guest Access for Black Card Area: Offering occasional guest passes for Black Card members—perhaps a couple per year—would be a great perk. It would enhance the member experience and could also serve as a promotional tool to attract new members.

Overall, Planet Fitness is a solid choice for an affordable and well-maintained gym, and these small enhancements would make the experience even better.

I also belong to LifeTime in Brookfield WI, so I thought I would be let down by a purple chain, but was I wrong. Great equipment, extremely well maintained and fantastic staff. Although they gave excellent service and feedback; it still is not fixed. So I canceled and was told I had to pay the upcoming month then cancel. Why? I no longer wanted the membership. The locker room is 64 degrees. I asked two different staff members to do something about it. Both stated they didn’t know how to control it. Last week while taking a shower, I ran out of hot water. I told a staff member about it and they stated that they often hear that concern. The HydroMassage room is brightly lit, no TV on the wall and they are cold. The management needs to go and visit the Shallotte location. It is much superior to this location.

Went to tanning bed last week and 4 bulbs were out in bed #6. Went today and 12 bulbs were out in bed #6. Don't think the other tanning beds are working. I pay a monthly fee to enjoy the tanning bed and this is unacceptable. I asked an employee if he knew the bulbs were out and he said no he didn't. It's hard to believe no one has complained about the bed. I will not continue to pay and have to use a bed with bulbs out.

I liked the layout of this gym and really appreciated the clock on the wall that lit up the seconds. The staff was friendly and I had no problem getting PF black card amenities. Even though there were a lot of people working out, I didn’t have to wait for any machines or weights. As always the gym was clean/ being cleaned by staff. The locker room was also spacious and clean. The photo I’m including is me 7 months ago at a different gym, but I’m using it to show that I am into fitness and a lot of people at PF are serious about strength training and body building!

I went to this location and sat on the curb waiting for it to open I had one of the ladies that work here stop her car roll down her window very rudely stated "You cannot be sitting here this is private property" I am a Black card member. I don't see why this lady would treat a member this way. There were 5 other people sitting in there cars in the parking lot why was there only something said to me and not them. This was my first time coming to this location since in not from this location this will probably be the last location I ever visit in Myrtle beach the lady needs to learn how to treat members with respect and kindness I will it be spending my money here if the employees are gonna have attitudes and run members off .
