This gym has 2 large fans that run and are annoying as can be. The fans cause my hair to blow all over the place I now have to wear hats to control my baby hairs from sticking to my face. My partner experiences the same issue with his hair. Today a man on treadmill 3 over from me sprayed his machine and because of this fan, the cleaner was blown on to my legs. The air in this gym is very dry and for the first 20 mins of my workout my nose burns when I breathe in. Does anyone else experience this? I am going to take an allergy pill before my workout next time and see if it helps. I hate hate hate these fans. They ruin my experience.

Have been going to this location for a little over a year and have loved it. However, today I was shocked to see a large dog tied up to a machine. When I asked the front desk staff if dogs are allowed in the gym, they said yes service dogs are allowed. However, this dog did not have a vest and was not behaving like any service dog I've ever encountered, it was tied on a long leash to the assisted pull-up machine, and was walking around sniffing at things while blocking access to several different machines. The owner of the dog was not even using a machine, just standing nearby chatting. I understand that the gym complies with the ADA, but then what about people who are allergic to dogs? Does planet fitness have a policy about how to clean up after dogs have been hanging out in the gym so people with allergies can still safely use the equipment?

Great experience every time but mostly want to give a shout out to the guy with longer hair and the young pretty girl working around 4:30pm 2/21/25. Super friendly, greeted us everytime we needed something with a smile, and were more than helpful. My sister comes here more often and said she loves when they are here. Great staff, love PF!

This location is by far the worst in the area. From multiple machines being "out of service" dirty bathrooms and cleaning supplies not stocked its shocking they have 4 people behind the counter at any given time yet can't fill a spray bottle or paper towels. Then I go to use a machine, there's a lady on it, so I ask to work in with her. She says she doesn't mind, but then a "trainer" (poor excuse for one) comes running over saying I can't use the machine during his class. I said I pay the same membership as everyone else (black card) and I'm not going to be inconvenienced by his class especially if they don't mind. And another lady even yelled over that there was no problem with me working in. The trainer needs to be talked to for his rude behavior and educated that he does not own this gym nor the equipment in it.

Whenever my wife and I workout there, we see other members consistently not wiping down euipment after use. Also, there is always that one person that feels the need to establish themselves on two or three pieces of equipment,as if they are the only ones working out.
Addressed our concerns numerous times with front desk workers to no avail. We are done.

Very well arranged Planet Fitness. The 30 minute room has quality equipment. Cybex equipment which are more smooth in their movement and easier to maneuver for people of various sizes and heights.
The gym is brand new so everything is clean. The women's locker room is spacious. The massage lounges are set up in an area that is pleasant and private.

If its not bad enough it closes at 10PM, the BLACK CARD SPA closes 30 mins early 🙄 Black Card Spa closes at 9:30PM - put that on the site. Now Im driving to another gym for the hydromassage 😔 I have a black card lol

Also I found my Cell reception is bad but they have wifi but Id like my phone to have service either way.

Iam a visitor from Mass. I left my wallet in Pennsylvania visiting a friend. So I went to Planet fitness.They were so accommodating spoke with my home gym and let me participate as a guest with full access . So wonderful South Carolina Myrtle Beach !! The place was excessively clean huge layout!! Everyone was so kind friendly. I noticed this all through Myrtle Beach.

Was visiting my parents and since I have the black card I was able to use their facilities. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The gym was clean as I saw the staff constantly vacuuming, cleaning and making sure spray bottles were filled. I recommend for those who live in the area to join, the staff and facilities are top-notch.

I visit Pf all around the state, and most of them have friendly staff but not this location. I did not get a hi or bye when checking in and leaving. It's not really a big deal, just a nice gesture to members. The place was clean and members were cleaning equipment when done.

Terrible gym. Only good thing is that they are open late. The only reason I'd go here. Otherwise spray bottles and paper towels are always out. The "No critics" stance they take is idiotic. No critic means no bad or good critics. Which creates a terrible gym atmosphere. Very dangerous people are working out in ways that will hurt themselves and others with no one to tell them otherwise, because.. no critics

Absolutely terrible customer service. They have taken multiple payments out for months, cause over $100 in over draft fees and takes 0 responsibility for it. The so called manager likes to talk like she knows things but knows absolutely nothing. When information is provided to show they are the cause no accountability is taken. I thought my home gym was nice and clean. I this planet Fitness is new, but it is way bigger than my home gym. It is very convenient for me to get to. You have plenty of parking . Planet fitness is just a great place to work out and get in shape or stay in shape. Sometimes, you meet friendly people to work out with. I'm not a morning person, but I wake up every morning & get to the new location in Socastee with my neighbor. I actually run into a few of them. I'm there around 7am, and it's not overcrowded. In the evenings, you have a much younger crowd.

The staff is very friendly. It's always a pleasure to see Avery, Ron & Ben.

I gave it a 4-Star because I wish they had the option to have a 1-on-1 trainer. I also wish their TRX straps were anchored to the wall. I wish they had a heavy bag & speed bag too.

I signed up for a tanning session and had to wait for the person in front of me to come out. The young girl at the desk stated, “I have already set the timer. Go on in when she comes out.” I still had to wait several minutes for the lady to come out of the room. When I finally got n the tanning room, the bed came on before I could undress or put lotion on so I did not get my full time. The entire time I stood and waited on the tanning room, both employees stood and did nothing but talk to each other. There was no regard for the customers at all!

Closes early especially on weekends. Lots of equipment is jammed not allowing you to adjust it and some machines are disabled like the dip machine. Provides paper towels instead of wipes which doesn't work as well.

I loved my first experience @ this Planet Fitness. We recently moved to the area and working out at Planet Fitness clubs wherever we live has been a priority for me.
