My first time. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. It's very clean and the people were kind. There is a huge selection of different machines for every muscle group and every fitness level. I liked that they had cleaning stations near every group of machines to be able to clean the machines before and after you use them. All the machines I used had simple to understand instructions and were easy to figure out. There are so many different amenities you coukd use as well. I loved it and I'll be back soon.

I was in town for Veteran's Day and stopped by to see if they were offering a week free pass for veterans as posted on military.com. They were not unfortunately but the on duty manager gave me a day-pass which is better than nothing. Thanks to the that manager for supporting the people who keep this country free. To the regional manager, you need to do better! Freedom ain't free, support the men and women that fight for this country.

Just join the gym and have gone twice. For a gym that publicizes a judgment free zone, I feel that I am being watched more at planet fitness than any other gym I have been to all across the United States. People are looking at you and gym workers are walking around watching you. Definitely doesn’t feel judgment free.
Then you’ve got personal trainers or class trainers that have stretching mats out in the workout center instead of in the stretching center with cones on machines boguarding them for their specific class. Im sorry if you are going to have a class, have specific machines in a personal trainers room and if you don’t have a room don’t take up both machines that work the same muscle group!

I actually think this is a really nice gym... very clean and lots of equipment to use. I enjoy working out but the only issue I have is they don't have a family plan, where you can add your children and spouse and they be able to attend anytime they like. That's the only thing I don't care for.

I recently started a Planet Fitness Black Card membership for myself and my 15 year old son who’s almost 16. I signed the waiver form for my son because he is under 18. We went for our first visit together the next day on March 5, 2024. We were welcomed and the attendants explained that my son had all the privileges on his black card that I have on mine except the ability to bring a guest. We worked out on that day and the next and made use of the massage chairs, an amenity associated with the black card. However, when we attended Friday, March 8, 2024 after 5:30 pm, the attendant on duty (dark skinned with locs) said that my son could not enjoy ANY black card amenities and that he could only attend as my guest. I was disturbed by this because what was the point of me paying the $24 price for a black card for my son when my son cannot enjoy the amenities that come with it. The young man was adamant that he could not use any of the amenities of the black card and could use the gym as my black card guest despite me informing him that I paid for my son's black card and signed the waiver for him. He did not bother to look into the system or anything. I requested to cancel the account and be refunded my $12.50 membership fee. He said he spoke to the manager and that he could not give me a refund as the call center agent had informed me. He said he could give me credit towards a basic account membership. What?! Why offer the black card membership to tens if they can’t use it? Ridiculous!

It was not my desire to cancel my son's membership; however, the entire point of getting him a black card was so that he could enjoy the amenities associated with the card. I hope this statement clarifies the confusion that we have. These young attendants need to be properly trained and apprised of the do and don'ts.

I’m looking into YMCA. Planet Fitness is always a hassle.

Love the staff. Mr. Sax is the perfect trainer I have had so far. By following his routine in working out and also the diet plan you will be amazed. I have went from 213 to 209 and I am feeling wonderful. My diet is no starchy foods and no meat besides fish and turkey bacon. No white bread only wheat. I showed my PCP my routine Sax put me on and she wants me to stick with it, since my A1C has came down. Thank you Mr. Sax for your guidance.

I gotta say, this gym is a real gem in the Orangeburg community! 💯 Let me tell you, from the moment I stepped foot in this place, I could feel the camaraderie among the members inside, male and female. There's constant banter and friendly high-fives and thumb-ups after every successful intense set. Also, every member who walked in here looked like they were in top physical shape, both male and female.

Now, there were a few folks who seemed determined to turn their fitness game around, and let me say, they were sweating buckets during their workouts to get it done. (Goals). 😎 👍 I was here for a solid hour and a half, and every single member was putting in serious work. I gotta give props to this place and its owners for creating such a fantastic gym community.

Before I wrap up, I gotta shout out to the staff. These folks were top-notch! I couldn't find a speck of dirt, dust, or trash anywhere in this gym, especially in the common areas where equipment is used. Even the showers were squeaky clean! The staff and the owners deserve a major shoutout for keeping this place in tip-top shape. Hats off to this location, my friend. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I am in town.

I stopped going to the gym after the death of my husband December 2022. I was depressed and my health was declining. I was ashamed to go back, but when I came back in April, Saxton continued encouragement, pushing me out of my comfort zone got me back in the gym 3 days a week. Thank you Saxton and Dai for supporting me in my first bike class today. I never could do 1 mile because of my bad knee, but with their stretching exercises, I did over 3 miles!!! I'm so proud of myself!! Thank you two for supporting me. The Orangeburg Planet Fitness is a very clean gym and the trainers all have great personalities. My new moto: "Never say you can't until you try. " Words I'm going to try to live by.

Needed to transfer gyms , to have access to the personal trainer schedule at the Orangeburg I was told. I arrived at the gym and checked in was assisted by a young lady named Deja not the most friendly or cordial person. I told her that I needed to transfer gym memberships she proceeded to assist me. It was taking some time and I was on a tight schedule so I asked if I could continue with my work out or if I had to stand there while she does the transfer I was told that I had to stand there. She didn't need me standing there at all all of the information she was asking for on the phone I was already provided to her do anything I could not give her which I discovered during this process wasn't incorrect membership number what that has to do with me that's something that they should have been able to fix without my having to stand there. After asking my question she gives me this blank stare then tells the person that she's on the phone with o excuse me hold on the guest was saying something to me didn't acknowledge my question or anyting, it was very rude when she told me you can go. Return two days to workout left my glasses so waited at the counter while I waited for someone to arrive at the desk it was the same young lady from a couple of days ago slowly walking from the back of the gym looking into her phone as though she had all day.once she did finally get to the counter she looks at the computer screen looks at me once again A blank stare I said good morning nothing came out of her mouth she wants again stared at me like saying what did I want non-verbally so I said once again good morning and then she finally said morning and then I asked if I left a pair of glasses that I wanted to see if it was there she hands me Trey I guess that have all their lost and found stuff in it didn't say anything just handed it to me so I did see the glasses got them said Thank you and I went on about my I would have given a one or two star but the personal trainer that was on duty did try to assist me so that did smooth things over a little but no just like she does not work there and expect to take attitude from the customer's which I gave her none I do not expect attitudes from the staff specially for service that I am paying for every month.

It's Sunday Oct 30th 10:10 am, I came in to sign up for membership, I looked around for a few minutes, saw a lady sitting about 10 feet from me on her phone. I figured that she was a customer, because I looked in the room and she didn't ask if I needed assistance! I asked her if anyone is working here today twice, she responded YES. I asked her; are you the person working here, again with an attitude YES. I walked out extremely annoyed!! I called to find out about the owner and managers name, all she said was Joyce, I believe. I told her about her unprofessional behavior and her excuse was; i had an important phonecall, which is a lie because she was texting. Please review cameras! I can only imagine how much business you lost with her behavior!!

This club is absolutely beautiful. We were traveling through and stopped here with our camper. There was plenty of room in the parking lot to park, and the staff was very welcoming. Not many people will probably notice this but I really loved their little touches with LEDs everywhere, the purple ones on the wall, the red/green circle changing for the 30 min express, even the faucets in the bathroom have red LEDs for hot and blue for cold. These little touches really make a difference! GREAT place to workout!

Upon walking in the vibe was different! I was impressed with the cleanliness in the facility, and the fact that they are continuously cleaning is something I don’t see at my home facility. The equipment and floor were mostly dust free and the staff truly showed southern hospitality. Whenever I visit my mom, this facility is my go to gym. The ladies at the front desk doesn’t value the loyal members at PF and their belongings. I informed them a car key was missing after several individuals and myself thoroughly conducted a search for them. They didn’t even bother to help. Instead, they remained on their phones and didn’t even attempt to assist. I went back to the counter, provided my name and number and description of the key. They informed me they would call me if it’s found. I called back several hours later to no avail. I ended up going to the dealership to purchase another 600 dollar key. Upon returning to the gym that evening, I went too I’ll the front counter to another young lady, Victoria. She at least looked in the lost and found, underneath several pair of workout gloves and handed me my key. Needless to say no one never contacted nor assist. I informed another employee, Trainer Saxton, who assisted in the process, of what happened, who informed me he would call with the manager, Joyce. She never contacted nor apologized for the lack of effort and unprofessionalism of her employees at this location. It’s unfortunate that if things aren’t impacting individuals personally, they could care less.

I, along with a few other women had a man who worked there at the front desk take our phone numbers off the computer and text us. When I got the message I was confused, I was working out when I received the text. While I was working out, I noticed the man was walking around every area that I was in. I felt very uncomfortable and stalked. I'm also a minor so this was not okay or professional, and he was also aware of this. I'm pretty sure this issue is trying to be resolved, but this was also not the first time this particular man did this. But after I told a few people about this, three different people then came forward to tell me that even the personal trainer there has made them feel uncomfortable. One girl in particular told me that he was very touchy, and even touched her upper thigh and got behind her (very close) while she was squatting. Be careful if you go here please. The issue has been resolved, and they talked with the worker at the desk and he has been fired. And they also gave me 6 months free. Other than this issue recently it has been a good experience.
