I started my fitness journey in April of 2025. I go regularly between 7-10 times a week (before and after work). I love the convenience of being able to bring a friend with the Black Card for the decent price. I don't lift too heavy yet, and think it's a great 'starter gym' that offers lot's for intermediate and advanced lifters as well. The atmosphere is fantastic and very inviting for all skill levels. They do have 4 power/squat racks with free weight barbells. It can get crowded during peak times, but for me that isn't much of a hindrance. It speaks volumes in terms of the quality of this gym.

I have been a member on and off for years because of convenience of locations and honestly pricing compared to other gyms. With that being said what I have experienced in the past few months has been pretty tough and has led me to cancel my membership for good. I was a black card member and that comes with special amenities like tanning, massage chair, total body enhancement. I have been in the gym before and was informed that I could only use the hydro massage twice in a 24hr time period which wasn’t disclosed to me and it had been more than 24 hours! I once tried to use the total body enhancement for the first time and had to wait for an employee to come help but ended up just leaving because it took too long and I had been waiting for 20 minutes! When getting the membership nothing about the cancellations was spoken about and I felt rushed into signing the contract. I am moving and decided I will cancel but I will still be charged for an entire month that I will not be here for or using the gym for! They also falsely advertise their gym hours by saying they are open 24/5 when they are actually not. I have a schedule at work that is ever changing and need a gym with flexible hours and they falsely advertise the times they are open at least on the building. They are only open 24 hours 3 days of the week not 5! Inside of the gym is pretty good and people are friendly and judgement free but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to the gym!

Rejoining a little over a year later! Same price, HUGE improvements. I was previously a member of this gym but the equipment selection wasn't very good. There was almost no leg equipment and a large portion of the gym was taken up with circuit training that no one ever used. At the time the gym was also not very clean and unfortunately a lot of members were disrespectful and did not re-rack their weights or wipe down their equipment.

I went in to grab a workout with a friend under her membership and the gym has done a complete 180. It is night and day difference from what it was a year and a half ago to now. The hours are drastically improved. The equipment has been updated there is a huge selection of leg equipment. There are way more machine options that you dont have to be doing circuit training to use now. I don't know who is running the gym but they listened to their feedback and made real changes. As a member currently frustrated with the price, condition, cleanlieness, hours and management of ACAC Simpsonville Im thrilled to see these improvements at a PF so close to home and very happy to be coming back! I was giving up on having a decent gym in Simpsonville but this PF has really turned things around and become a place where one can get a serious workout. As a bonus the purple theme has been toned down a lot. I love purple but the old color scheme was hard on the eyes. For me it was nauseating and disorienting while undergoing exertion. Now it looks and feels like a gym and the esthetic is far less distracting.

I'm not sure how things are going with other members taking care of their weights and wiping down their equipment yet but hopefully that has improved too. Frqnchise wide their "judgement free zone" sign should come with an asterisk *unless you don't clean up after yourself.

If I could rate this place negative stars, I would. Absolutely abhorrent business with rage inducing business practices. You call and cancel your membership several times over the course of literal years, they stop charging you for a few months, and then they start stealing from you again. They have this garbage practice in place where you have to go in to cancel, because God knows they'll let the phone ring for hours! Doesn't matter if it's wildly inconvenient to go all the way there (the reason you haven't set foot in their building for literal years), you have to show up. Garbage place run by thieves.

It’s great if you are a high schooler on summer break with a free membership to go hang out and smoke weed in the bathroom. Completely overcrowded by high school kids just hanging out sitting on machines not even working out management is not even walking around to tell these kids if you’re not working out, get off the machine. It’s just like the trampoline park. Went to tell the girl at the desk, but she was too busy signing up high school kids for free memberships to worry about what was going on. So if you’re planning on going to the gym to get healthy, you might want to look elsewhere.

Please get something to help with grip strength. Something that focuses on forearm muscles. Rolling an outstretched wood dowel with a weight on a rope is all you need. I've used the continuous rope pull, but that also involves the biceps. Otherwise, this is a great place!

THEY REMOVED THE SHOWER WALLS! Makes no sense… there used to be walls in front of the showers so you can undress there, hand up your towel and gym bag with your change of clothes. Now they removed the walls and all hangers. They expect you to get naked at your locker, walk over to take a shower, then air dry on your way back to your locker to get the towel you brought. There’s no hooks for towels (you can’t put your towel on the shower rail because it will get soaked). Makes no sense why they took this away. Don’t try to fix something that’s not broken. We are changing gyms today because we don’t feel comfortable walking around naked…

Been lifting for well over a decade and this is the best planet fitness I've ever been to. Barbells instead of strictly smith racks, Olympic platforms and plates, a long strip of turf, it's all fantastic. My only requests are a sled for the turf and dumbbells past 75lbs, 80-100 would be incredible.

have not been to the gym in months, since I am postpartum from twin girls in September 2024. Being back the other day was such a joy. The front desk staff are so friendly and helpful, and they always greet me on my way in. The entire gym has recently been updated with new machines and a new layout. The new machines are great and count your reps and how long it takes to complete them. There is also much more room to walk around the machines and you don't feel like you're invading anyones personal space. Overall, I would definitely recommend this location to friends and family. There is always upbeat music, clean facilities, and you're able to get a great workout.

Glad to see they replaced the equipment. They added some new equipment as well. Free weight racks, with real platforms, olympic barbells and bumper plates.! Please reduce the temperature at the gym to 70 F because today at 9:00 PM it was 75 F and 100% humidity. In such conditions, with such a large amount, you can't exercise, it's like in a sauna and you want to vomit and you can easily faint. He also adds that it is a public gym and there are a lot of people and thus bacteria and germs that only develop at high temperatures.
Both OSHA and The American College of Sports Medicine have recommendations. IFA has developed the following along those guidelines: The aerobics, cardio, weight training and Pilates areas should be at about 65 to 68 degrees.

Been coming here for years, had to stop for COVID and a bunch of deaths in the family, finally just came back. They used to have a whole row of ellipticals with fully moving arms and legs. Now they only have like, 3, and the rest of them, the arms don't move, only the legs. Please switch them back to the other kind!!

I have been a black card member for about six months. I had a pretty steady routine before hurricane Helene hit, and I’m finally getting back at it again. The equipment has been upgraded. I'm impressed with this location. I've been a Black Card member for a couple of months, and I've had a great experience. They recently refreshed all the equipment and there are a lot of options, and a fair balance of cardio and strength equipment, plus areas for mats and other no/low equipment workouts. Other gym-goers are respectful and not aggressive or judgmental. People behind the desk have been helpful and friendly. I can charge a drink to the credit card on my account - no physical card required. Plus there are massage chairs and such that I haven't even tried yet.

Only two requests I would have: more protein options (protein bars or drinks) and more accurate "Crowd Meter" in the app. The Crowd Meter has 3/10 bars full but in the gym I have to wait for equipment because it's all in use. I guess the location is popular for a reason, but I'd like an accurate reading.

The biggest complaints I had with this location were insufficient strength equipment that were poorly maintained. As of this week, the equipment had been completely refreshed. As my grandpa used to say, "so far, so good". And as the kids say, "yeet". I've been enjoying doing cardio on many, many treadmills, as well as having the option for many, many ellipticals, bicycles, and probably something else I haven't used yet. Following it up with a 30 Minute Express Workout, where a timer goes on for 60 seconds and then off for 30 seconds, really gets the muscles and blood going. As long as no one is using this section to get sets in (usually there is at least one person), it goes pretty smooth. End it all with a hydro massage and who needs a lover. OK I'm kidding. Am I?

I only give my experiance a 4/5 because when I come in during for my morning workouts the staff in the morning are so unattentive,rude, and DO NOT and i mean it is disgusting in the womens room until I come in during my night workout and there is just this burst of joy and light sitting at the front desk Chloe. Unfortunately as of yet limited options in our area so you make the best with what you have. May promote 'contact' trust me all this has been brought up over the past 4 years and as I said, its getting worse not better.

The trainer, Josh,is excellent! He's personable, knowledgeable and encouraging. I look forward to working out because he makes each class to benefit each individual. He's absolutely amazing
