I canceled my membership many months prior to the remodel... I'm a full-time oxygen and I'm unable to leave my home. I'm on disability and my income is extremely Limited.. I'm continuously getting billed. I contacted the management today, and they told me I'd have to come in and cancel my membership. I have already done that. I need my membership to stop because I continuously getting billed for that and I can't use my membership

Usually planet fitness is the “cheap gym” so I don’t expect much. Never really had a bad experience at any of them but OMGGGGG this location is awesome! Very nice…nicest one I’ve been to. Vending machine for snacks, ear buds, etc. the spa is cool and there’s at least two of EVERY machine!

My favorite PF in the continental U.S.!

Spacious, clean, and loaded with new equipment this is my favorite place to work out. Location is perfect, it’s safe and if you want you can walk down the strip to the Fresh Market and get some upscale treats. The night shift employees here are God Tier, nice, supportive, and always able to crack some jokes. The recent remodel/update has me feeling like a fat kid in a candy store.

I enjoy using PF. My complaint is you said in the comments to report problems to PF. There is no way to contact them about a problem. No contact info on the website. I complained about no hot water and some people stayed on the equipment for long periods past their work out while they were on their phone. I reported a piece of equipment broke. Nothing was done. It was broken for at least a month. No one offered to give me a contact number for complaints.
I see not email address or phone number to talk with management. It appears to the public you have restricted comments to be able to talk to management.

My mother as been a member since 2017 and has never set foot in the building. In 2017 my mother called too cancel membership. Little did she know u got too go inside building to cancel..okay my mom was 61 at the time. Years go by I become my mother's POA DUE TOO illness. Im checking her finances and I see years of membership fees and monthly fees still been taking out of my mother banking account. I travel the country and this is bad even for a PF. Not a single resistance band of any kind, one set of kettle bells (so if you want to use two of the same you can’t), and older Matrix machines/cardio. There isn’t even a bottle filling station on their drinking fountain…Glad this isn’t my “home” gym.

I like the "Graying" of Planet Fitness in East Spartanburg. In non-peak hours, I see more seniors working out. Building muscle, increasing stamina and maintaining balance are all important to elder folks. I wish more seniors knew about this low cost path toward feeling better. Maybe you could ask your young members to bring a grandparent as a free guests one weekend. It might be fun! Old Lives Matter!

Canceled membership in May. Payment history print out shows that membership is canceled and then they still charged me 4 more times. Also have a $30 charge in April that dosent show up on payment history but shows up on my bank statement. See attached photos. This facility is nice and was not crowded for a Saturday. The building use to be a grocery store, so they allowed me to park my semi truck and trailer in the dock area next to the building. I wouldn't suggest bringing a semi truck and trailer during business hours tho because it's very tight.

Okay, so I really like the price, and I really like the fact that other people around me are feeding my ambition to work out. Personally, that's all I need, but if that's not all you need is well, then this may or may not be the place for you. They don't have classes, but they do have the equipment and have friendly staff and people around you that are working out. Whatever works for you.

My account was charged a late fee because someone did not do there job. I was completely embarrassed when the staff told me my account did not have the funds to cover a $10 monthly fee. I have proof that is a lie and I cancelled my account. You will be receiving a demand letter for my money back. I want a refund for all the money I spent for defamation of character, and embarrassment in public, or I have no problem starting my own class action lawsuit.

I’ve been coming to this gym since January or for almost 5 months. It’s always kept clean and the staff is very friendly. However they do not get 5 stars from me because it’s always way too hot in there. They barely have the big fans running. It’s almost summertime and if they don’t get it cooler in here soon, I probably won’t be able to continue coming.

I canceled the gym membership 2023 of April (twice since it didnt work somehow the 1st time) and a whole year later I found out I was still paying for it this whole time and when I try to get my refund back they say they can't because they don't see my cancelation on computer. This place has had no hot water for over a week. It’s terrible. I made several complaints to the staff, but nothing was taken seriously. The franchise owner should lose his business because that should’ve been taken care of immediately and all right they should’ve had a plumber out there by the next day, but they did not. I do not recommend this place also because I have ended up with athletes foot several times, and they appear not to use cleaning chemicals and disinfect the place and I have been to many other planet fitness is that I’ve had no problem

I haven't set foot in a gym in decades. I joined for a number of reasons, and I got the black card membership. So far I've only done one workout, and that was just the treadmill. I had illness in the past and I'm easing back into my workouts for the first time. All of the equipment that I have observed seems up-to-date, and user friendly.

What I really like so far is the hydro massage chair which I've done twice now, and it's fantastic. The regular massage chair is also pretty good, it definitely has good strength to it. They have a red light booth for post-workout; I thought that was pretty cool and it did seem to have a strong impact today. And they also have tanning beds.

Everybody that works there was friendly and nice. I like the "no judgment zone," and I'm not there to meet people so I haven't. I've only talked to employees.

Very cool place, looking forward to getting to know it better and using the rest of the amenities. So far it's A+ for what I need.

Clean, price is reasonable. Staff are friendly. The facility is atleast 4.5 stars. The hours it's open is only 3 stars. Like other reviews the gym should stay open 24/7. The cost has gone up and hours open has gone down since i opened my account. It was 24/7 when i started. I understand the cleaning aspect of it although it would make more since to have the hours shut down to be split between the week instead of together on the weekend. with the shut down it's 24 hours no gym. The evenings and night times are prime for my family to go to the gym because of work and sports and family events. The hours of operation are the biggest gripe of this facility. Black card price is 20 + yearly membership of 69. Basically 309 a year which is 84 cent a day if it were 24/7. Buy with the 24 hour of being closed you lose 52 days a year and the price changes to 99 cent a day. The price is going up and value going down.
