Took my 5 year old there and she had a wonderful time. They have 3 slides and a mini water park for little ones . Plus a pool for swimming. There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The concessions stand has a variety of snacks ,drinks ,pizza, ice cream , and candy! And that's just the pool area . People and life guards are very attentive and polite!

Horrible place. Looks can be deceiving! Furthermore I would CAUTION anyway who sends their child here for summer camp to run far away! They forgot to feed my child one day due to him having a lunch box with snacks so they DID NOT give him his paid lunch with the rest of the kids and I have proof.

They also never once required ID for pickup so anyone could of picked up my child!

Also, I have my suspicions about their pool being properly chlorinated as he's swam at many other YMCAs but got sick immediately after swimming at this one.

Ironically, now they are calling for payment for the week he attended when it was stored on file and why the payment would not be there when I have never once gone into my account since enrolling him is odd. Maybe it's an act of God saying you don't deserve a dime for the 3 days be attended and was entirely neglected.

If you’re a powerlifter/ squat bench deadlifts, etc this is not the place to be. Lack-luster, older equipment that is sub par. Their “beast mode” classes take up an entire room that has the ONLY bumper plates, AND they have several classes a day. While this class is going on, outlined in their rules, they have the right to kick you out of said room so they can do their class. (Even tho they pay the same membership I do). I work night shift, so by the time I come in at 4pm, they have a beast mode class at 4:30pm, and then another one at 6pm…

Additionally, they have almost 10,000 members at just this location, busy is an understatement. The locker rooms smell like cat pee and feet. The back weight room is very humid… ONLY 2 flat benches… 3 squat racks…

Single memberships are $57/month, and family was $81/month with veteran discount…

For a facility that preaches about family values etc, this place sure is a joke.

They charged my husband a non member price for swim lessons when he was in fact a member. The girl who registered our child was not properly trained. Then when we showed up for swim lessons it took over 30 minutes to find one parking spot. People were parked on the curb and even those spots were taken.

My family and I are traveling to visit our family and wanted to use the YMCA. I called in advance to verify that we could use the facility with a day pass. I was informed by the woman on the phone that there were day passes for $15. I even checked the website and saw that there were guest passes for $15. The family we are visiting do have memberships there. When we got there, my husband went in to ask to purchase the pass and he was deboned and told that they do not have any day passes and he would have to buy a membership to go. We again are just visiting from out of town and do not want to pay for a full membership just to workout once or twice. Really terrible policy and service.

I had my daughter a pool/birthday party and was very disappointed in the outcome the communication was not there with the staff and I was under the impression that it would only be people I invited in the pool and not outside people they also closed the kid pool which was not mentioned to me when I purchased the slot for the party so all the children stood at the steps where you enter the pool not fun for my guest ! I reached out to the staff over this and still have yet to hear back when I was told I would be getting a call back about getting a partial refund WOULD NOT RECOMMEND A POOL PARTY HERE VERY DISORGANIZED AND UNPROFESSIONAL!

We love this new addition to the Pickens County YMCA. My children really enjoy the childwatch area. The open gym is nice with plenty of room to move between machines. The wellness room could be a bit bigger. The locker room is really nice. I imagine the men's is as nice as the women's! There are a couple of handicap and unisex bathrooms. The pool area just opened and looks really nice. It is a very clean facility.

Everything is incredible but what I don't like is that they have no patience with special children, they should place more trained and patient people for children who have autism, it is very difficult for a child to adapt on the first day. And of course the children are only afraid of it, it's because they don't have patience, that's my case with my children.

I had a terrible experience with child watch on a Sunday. They left my one-year-old to play by himself on the playground area while the two girls sat on the ground. They also never came to greet me at check-in so I was very confused about whether I enter and go outside with my baby.

I went back outside when I saw that he had climbed up and was playing alone up on the playset and asked them to stand with him and help hold him, which one girl got up and did. After going back to check on him through the window, I was met with eye rolls and the entire experience triggered every mom instinct in me that he was not safe with them and overall I felt horrible and treated like an inconvenience to them.

Go to Easley. All of their staff are wonderful, caring, and make an effort to connect with parents and babies.

This review is very hard for me to right but it is the honest to god truth. I am a single mother with 2 children. The afterschool program is $100.00 a week for 2 children. $100 a week that I would have to make work if I didn't have family to assist me with my kids since the horrible experience I have had with the afterschool program. I reached out to the school for the scholarships that they stated were available. I was referred to the school counselor who did allow me a $10.00 a week discount per kid. Totaling $20.00 a week. Very helpful!! I then find out they have changed from the 1/2 off discount when you have 2 kids in the program after the end of the 2023 School year. I planned to pay $75.00 max and then $20.00 off on top of that would of help a ton. I was fortunate enough to have my mom be able to assist with my kids after school but still planned to keep them signed up in the event we needed to pop in every now and then. I was not notified that the "scholarship money" was to be used on full time students only and the cherry on top was that they were now just doing a $5.00 per other child. Meaning my total would of been $95.00 a week for 2 kids and then $75.00 a week if they allowed the scholarship money. I find the YMCA afterschool program a complete SCAM at Anderson District 1 schools. Its wild that District 2 right down the road from us offers FREE afterschool but Anderson District 1 a district thriving more than them can't do that an allows YMCA to hurt a single mother doing her best to work her butt off for her kids just to be told you have to pay even more money. I DO NOT AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THE AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM WITH YMCA TO ANYONE THAT HAS CHILDREN!!!

Fantastic affordable place! 3 small
Slides. Little splash area with 3 foot pool. Then an outdoor deep pool for fun and section for lane swim. $1 ice creams and pizza, drinks etc at the concession stand. Indoor has lots of stuff to do. Pickle ball is fun along with basketball or free weights room. Fun for the entire family.

The locker is almost non-existent. If you are a work professional who wants to go prior/after work to the gym - this place is NOT for You. The gym is located on the middle of nowhere with poor road connections. The locker room is so small that you cannot even put your standard gym bag to the locker, and you there is maybe like 20 of them. The app is useless since you cannot register for the "must register" programs through that app.

My son's insurance office reached out to us about
swimming voucher programs for the kids weeks
ago. Normally we pay for swimming lessons and
the expensive summer program. I called aquatics
director Adrianne weeks ago. Never called me
back until today. The insurance lady said your son
could attend the YMCA swimming lessons free. I
mean who will turn down free swimming lessons.
Me and my family were members up until April.
Adrianne the aquatics director knowing I had been
calling ignored my call for several weeks about the
program. So it didn't surprise me when she finally
calls me today and says "oh yeah we have the
program but we choose not to accept the
vouchers" I been a member of the YMCA for years
and it's pretty sad when a company is offering a
free program for other kids that can't afford the
swimming lessons I was disappointed in her
nonchalant tone and I'm glad my mother pulled the
membership from the YMCA. The YMCA should offer the program to children who parents cannot afford it.

I went on Saturday to become a member. The girl who attended me at the desk was super nice. The place seemed clean and with very good gyms. The pool is wonderful. Great facilities!! Even greater pool, especially if you have children; there are 3 slides and a children's pool in addition to the regular swimming pool. They are currently adding new space. They are open and practicing social distancing, taking your temperature before allowing entrance, and providing cleaning solution/handrags.

We just joined here due to moving down the road. I always enjoy the YMCA facilities. This new location is awesome. I used to workout at the Easley and Pickens location a long time ago. I am glad to be back here. All of the facilities are very impressive with ample room to workout. The basketball courts are really nice and usually has room for you to play. They have pretty great bathrooms/changing rooms that are always kept clean. The extra rooms they have are well lit, clean and offer a variety of classes and times. I am excited to see the pool area in the summer, although they do have a tent over it now so you can still enjoy it! Great job YMCA.
