I've been a member of PWR Fitness in Mount Pleasant since moving here in 2024, and it's been a game-changer for me. The coaches are top-notch, but what really sets PWR apart is the sense of community and genuine care that the staff and members show each other. I've laughed, cried, and pushed myself to new limits here, and I'm grateful for the supportive environment. If you're looking for a gym that's more than just a place to work out, look no further than PWR Fitness. Five stars isn't enough. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a truly exceptional fitness experience.

If you're looking for a high-intensity CrossFit workout without the focus on Olympic weightlifting, this is the place for you. I was visiting IOP with my family and found this spot when the local CrossFit box was full. I was pleasantly surprised! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I’d definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again. Coach Ian is fantastic and has a great team.

Since moving back to Charleston two years ago I've hopped around to multiple gyms trying to find the right fit without success until now. The coaches at PWR are second to none with their level of knowledge, dedication to the industry and their clients. I started training with Amy when I was pregnant with my daughter about 2 years ago— she is honestly the best personal trainer that I’ve ever had. She is so knowledgeable and intuitive in the health and wellness space, while also pushing me to grow stronger and feel comfortable in my own body. She knows exactly how to adapt functional training for all stages of pregnancy/postpartum and truly understands the challenges, being an amazing mother herself. You feel a sense of community the moment you walk through the doors @ PWR! The gym itself is very clean and modern. Amy, along with the rest of the PWR team, are top notch— could not recommend them enough!!

PWR fitness offers great classes for all levels. Each workout starts with a few light exercises warming-up/stretching. The second circuit focuses on strength training where you complete a few heavier sets. The last rotation is mainly anaerobic training and pushing your muscles at a higher heart rate. The five weekdays rotate through each muscle group (and change the next week for variation). Saturdays are partner workouts. Each class is fun and well-taught and not intimidating as I went by myself and chose my own weights. Definitely an awesome program with awesome people.

Power Fitness is the best training experience I’ve ever had! I’ve been working out since I was young, and I can confidently say that PWR is on another level. The instructors are highly skilled, always paying close attention to form and making sure you’re doing exercises correctly. The atmosphere is welcoming, motivating, and full of positive energy, both from the trainers and the members.
The classes are incredibly well-structured, so you’re constantly improving and getting stronger. Since I started training here, I feel stronger than ever, and every session pushes me to new levels. If you’re looking for a top-tier fitness experience independent of your fitness level, this is the place to be. I highly recommend it!

This is an amazing gym!!! Ian was awesome, you’re in a group but he makes it feel like you’re getting personal training. He was really great in making sure that I had great form , while pushing me, with encouragement. This is the way training should be done. I couldn’t recommend PWR more. The class had the perfect amount of friendliness while maintaining a we are here to have fun and work. Everyone made me feel welcome.

I've been working out for 20 years, and this gym offers the best workouts I've ever experienced. The sessions at PWR are both challenging and fun, making them perfect for all ages and fitness levels. The trainers expertly adapt the workouts to accommodate my injuries, and I've seen incredible results. It's a fantastic way to start the day with energy. Highly recommended!

I’ve been a member at PWR for a year now. I’ve tried many gyms in the past, but would get bored and plateau. With PWR, I’ve really enjoyed the variety and challenge. Each week’s workouts are efficiently structured so you hit total body with a combination of cardio and strength. The training even prepared me to do my first HYROX competition! The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and focus on technique. Also the class sizes are small, so it often feels like personal training (a great value!). The coaches also do a great job of fostering community. Coming to a new gym can be intimidating, but here you really feel surrounded by amazing people of all fitness levels who want to get stronger and encourage each other. So thankful I found my gym home!

PWR is the best! My wife and I absolutely loved having such an amazing community and gym to be at. We are military so unfortunately had to move away from Charleston but we wish we could bring PWR with us! Perfect for all fitness levels and experience. We love how they incorporate both strength and conditioning into all of the classes and it was something that we could both do together and encourage one another. Chloe, Joel, Ian, and Amy are all so knowledgeable, encouraging, and intentional about putting focus on every person in the class. Thank you PWR! Miss you all and we will be back to visit soon!

I've lived in Charleston 14 years, and have finally found the best fitness community at PWR Fitness. The coaches are excellent, they pay strict attention to your form to prevent injuries. Also if an old injury "flares up", the coaches take the time to modify the work out for you. The coaches also are also encouraging and push you to do more , so you can achieve your health goals. This is truly the best hour of my day and get excited to go and work out! Also, the community is awesome, varying levels of fitness and truly supportive of each other. If you're looking for a community, with awesome workouts and best coaches in Charleston, PWR is your place!

Awesome workout for sure. Signed up for the free week trial as advertised online as I was visiting for a few days. Was great 1st day and went back for day 2 and felt awkward as the owner felt the need to tell me day 2 the free week was for residents only and I should’ve paid the drop in price but would let me slide.
I didn’t think this was very professional, first of all your website shouldn’t stated that and 2ndly you could’ve said this day 1 when I showed up. 3rdly did you really need to make it know on day 2 that you were doing me a favor?
Maybe that’s the conflict with a NY vs MA personality?!
I never tell any gyms/coaches when traveling and trying out places that I am a as well a Coach!
I like to see and experience the vibe as just a client and learn from others and places I travel.
Anyway, the workout was great day 1 , day 2 a little confusing it was a partner workout so I felt as a Coach myself this could’ve been explained a little better.
Great equipment!
Thought the Coaches could’ve been a little more encouraging and lively.
Overall I would return when visiting again because the equipment and workout was great.
Totally would’ve gave 5 starts if that comment wasn’t made!

HIGHLY recommend PWR Fitness for anyone looking for a gym to call home. I was working out alone at home and needed a little bit more motivation and accountability and decided to try PWR with a coworker. I am hooked! The classes are challenging and never the same. Ian and Joel have struck a great balance between weight training and HIIT. They both are incredibly knowledgable, kind, and are there to coach you through each class and new movements. The thing I have loved the most is how friendly this gym is. The atmosphere is always positive and there is no odd man out feeling. Absolutely love it here

PWR is the best gym! Classes are small so they are really able to pay attention to your form. The workouts are always super challenging, but able to be modified for any fitness level, and Ian and Joel are really great coaches. Honestly I have a lot of great things to say about this place but to spare you all a novel I’ll narrow it down to 3 things:
1) The workouts ( obviously )
The owners come up with new workouts each week so you’re never going to get the same workout; however, the workouts are still balanced and creative ( different muscle groups, some strengthening days some cardio days etc..)
2) The instructors
All of the instructors are down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and fun. They will definitely get you to break a sweat but they will also observe and help with your form. Essentially you’ll get a good challenge while having fun and staying safe.
3) The other members
You meet a lot of people in the group classes. There’s people of all ages and skill levels. I have yet to meet a rude/mean person here.

PWR Fitness in Mt. Pleasant is the absolute best gym for a wonderful workout. The instructors are thorough, patient, and they make you feel comfortable for each exercise. PWR Fitness has a community feel that makes each individual feel warm and welcome. I moved to the Mt. Pleasant area a few months ago and was looking for a gym that incorporated high intensity interval training, but that was also fun and engaging. PWR Fitness is now my home gym and I could not be happier.

PWR Fitness in Mt. Pleasant is, without a doubt, the best gym to go to for a great workout. Each class is challenging but not intimidating. They’re structured in a way that is easy to follow, and there’s a different workout each day so you’ll never get bored. Also, as someone who’s dealt with a fair share of injuries, I was relieved to learn that every movement and skill can be modified on the spot so I know I will still be able to do everything in the class, just in a different way, and still feel just as challenged. And in terms of challenging, Joel is the kind of trainer who will encourage and motivate you to perform at a level you didn’t think you were capable of. When the class ends, you’ll be proud of what you were able to accomplish, and you’ll look forward to doing it again. So, if you’re looking for a workout led by experienced trainers who know how to get you results, join PWR Fitness. You won’t regret it!

I have been a member of PWR Fitness for a little over a month now and have been very impressed every time I leave. The trainers and community are what makes this place awesome. Ian and Joel challenge you individually and as a group. While each workout changes daily, they generally use the same split each week, which helps planning on my end. Joel and Ian are not only incredibly knowledgeable, but passionate about their fitness. This will continue to be my go to gym in the Mount Pleasant area.

I've struggled to find a gym I loved since I moved here three years ago. I wanted a CrossFit workout but just couldn't find a place to call home. This gym isn't CrossFit affiliated, but the owners are CrossFit athletes, and have used that background to program a workout that is amazing! If you're a local looking for an intense workout with great trainers PWR Fitness is your gym! They have top of the line equipment, and are careful to modify any workout to accommodate any level of fitness, injury, or ability. You'll love it here, trust me!

PWR Gym is the best gym i have ever been to in Mt. Pleasant. Wait, let me rephrase, THE BEST GYM I HAVE EVER BEEN TO ANYWHERE!
PWR Gym offers all my favorite equipment: weights, kettle bells, TRX straps, rowers and bike. they also have barbells and ski machines that were new to me but WOW what a great workout you get from that equipment.
i have been around a long time and have seen concepts come and go. PWR Gym is unique in the way it has figured out a formula that is good for everybody. Twenty year olds all the way to senior citizen. Male, females: beginners and even World Class Champions in CrossFit.
Other gyms i have gone to in Mt. Pleasant i felt i "aged out"; the instruction was not professional or it just was not challenging enough.
PWR Gym is somewhere you can go and work at your own pace; they will give you modifications if needed; very good and detailed instruction on form and know how to push you.
The workouts are very well thought out and are different every day of the week. you never know exactly what you are going to do you just know you are going to feel great and see the rest of your day in a positive way.
So grateful PWR Gym made Mt. Pleasant it's home

I've been impressed with PWR fitness in my first week at the gym. While the footprint of the place is fairly compact, all the workouts have been designed to maximize the utility of the space, and they've showcased great diversity in movements, and a nice balance of focused strength training and cardio as well. Each of the classes I've attended have been fairly challenging, yet sufficiently approachable to all skill levels. Coaching has also been top notch. This gym is certainly worth checking out for anyone in the area who is wanting something between a pure CrossFit experience, and a scaled down "do-your-own-thing" workout, or even a more cardio-intensive OrangeTheory type situation.

Fantastic gym!!! Lots of variety in the workouts. Great instructors. No complicated, technical lifting moves you have to learn. Just an awesome workout. Tried a lot of gyms but these guys stand well above the field.
