The Rock Hill Sports & Event Center is the sports hub of University Center in Rock Hill, SC! The 170,000 sq. ft. facility is part of a mixed-use site connecting Winthrop University to Old Town Rock Hill, restaurants, outdoor venues, office space, apartments and more. The Center will host city athletic programs, sports tournaments, conferences/conventions, concerts and other special events. By offering healthy living activities as well as cultural and tourism opportunities, the Sports and Event Center adds to the quality of life in Rock Hill and surrounding areas.

Yoo, this Sports Center located in Rock Hill, SC is a hidden gem. Restaurants, Residential Hotel and awesome parking space, food court and phenomenal sport activity space are just a beginning. This place is large enough to host multiple venues at once. Organizations can plan their banquets, annual balls and pageants, their sport competitions, concerts and more. Basketball courts and pickle ball courts are crafted in the most morden design. The large visual screens will add to your activity. If your desire to host an event in an elite setting this is the place to have it.

The Rock Hill Sports & Event Center is an impressive facility and a great spot for tournaments or large events. The building is clean, modern, and well laid out, with 8 full-size courts plus a stadium-style main court that really stands out. The parking garage is convenient and free, which is a huge plus for an event space. Inside, amenities are solid—there’s food available and plenty of seating for spectators. Everything is well-run and organized. Definitely one of the better venues in the region for basketball and other indoor sports.

Our favorite tournament venue. This place is really nice and clean. Plenty of bathrooms and always cleaned and stocked with supplies. Seating on most courts is only on one end under basket but they are actual seats and fairly comforable. Courts on the far sides also have seating along length of court. Middle courts have metal bleacher style seating along length of court.
Counter top with power outlets wrap around the main room for easy remote working.

Came here for a volleyball tournament. It was a 2 day event and the facility charged a very steep $15 per day per person. Ridiculous. Other tournaments have discounted rates for young children and also if you buy a ticket for both days. This place did not have any discounted rates. Also cash only accepted. There are ATMs at the entrance that had a line of people trying to get cash for the admission fee when we arrived.
It's a nice facility, modern and looks fairly new. Good lighting and there's a little bit of acoustic dampening. Not much tho, but it helped. Lots of restrooms and they were kept clean. Concession stands were slow and the food was mediocre and expensive. But you're sort of trapped to eat there unless you sneak in your own food. Coolers are not allowed.
Seats are the fold down stadium type seats. Hard plastic so bring your own cushions. Bringing your own folding chairs is not allowed.
Parking garage was huge and across the street. Normal rate is $5 but for this tournament, we didn't pay anything. Overall it's a nice facility but I hope we don't have to go there for another tournament anytime soon.

Very good venue for sporting events!
Pros:
- Free parking in garage
- Oversized Vehicle parking area available in garage (cars use it so it’s never available)
- Several courts. Separated by curtains or bleachers.
- Spectator seats provided for each court
- Spectators tend to move if their team is not playing, allowing more room for the current teams’ spectators.
- Concessions onsite were decent
- Various charging ports with USB port throughout the venue.
- Several other good locations to eat within a good driving distance
Cons:
- Oversized parking is always filled with regular cars. They need to fix one sign so regular cars don’t go park there.
- Perimeter courts have good seats away from the court. Interior courts use portable bleachers that are take up court space and makes it hard for volleyball players to approach for outside hits.
- No locations within the building that allows the kids to warm up when not on a court

The parking deck directly under the events center is now "private" parking only. Had to park in the garage across the street. Wish there were more signs in the parking deck on the best way to exit the deck to get to the office building versus the sports center versus the Power House.

This place is awesome !
Very clean, safe and well-managed.
The temperature inside was very well regulated, no matter where you were at, and that is a very hard thing to do and something I battle with often.
Unbelievably well designed.
I also want to make a note that the acoustics were amazing in here. There’s not a bad seat in the house whatsoever.
The pictures and videos that I posted doesn’t really do the place justice, but it was packed full of energy and I really enjoyed the event there and would highly recommend anybody considering this place for their venue.

The other thing that I really enjoyed about this place is that there is a shopping center around this area that has restaurants, hotels in different shop and seems to have a little something for everybody.
It was like a little village, but an unbelievable amount of room to grow into it .
There’s a really good burrito restaurant called dank burrito close by hotel seemed really nice.
We did not stay at the hotel, but I did talk to a few people that said it was really nice.
You could tell it was clean and there’s a shared parking garage the event center.
It was a really good experience. The people were awesome inside. Some of these events the security guards in the staff are nothing short of tyrants.

This is the best basketball facility I have ever been to. The courts are so clean and there is lots of space in the facility and in between courts. The rims are very nice and there are big scoreboards for every court. There is also a restaurant just next to the entry doors with tv's and great food. There is lots of parking in a big multi-floor lot.

Very well-designed facility for multiple volleyball courts with easy parking in the garage adjacent to the complex. The seating was limited for each playing area, but it was enough for our travel club parents. The bathrooms could have been cleaner, but considering the constant crowd of people coming in and out that is expected. The complex was easy to get to with direct access back to I 77. There are plenty of hotels available in the area as well as restaurants and activities. The retractable volleyball nets with referee cage are impressive. There was plenty of room at the entrance lobby for vendors, and they had a fully stocked snack bar. We had a very positive experience for a weekend volleyball tournament. Our #19 Libero enjoyed playing there.

This was my second or third time to visit this basketball venue, and I am thoroughly impressed. The facility boasts an abundance of courts, all well-lit with top-notch sound systems that created an energetic atmosphere. The lighting was not only ample but also bright enough to ensure a clear view of the action on every court.
In addition to the excellent playing conditions, the venue offers a variety of food and concessions options, making it convenient for spectators and players alike to grab a bite to eat. What's more, the numerous clean restrooms were a pleasant surprise.
Overall, this basketball venue exceeded my expectations in terms of facilities, lighting, sound, and amenities, making it a fantastic choice for basketball enthusiasts of all levels.
