Top quality coaches! My son started from zero and has developed in as little as 2 months. Definitely exceeded my expectations especially with how crowded it gets. My son joined their boxing family last November. It has been a wonderful experience. Everyone is very welcoming. Even on fight nights, the older teens and adults take the time to spar with my 11 year old son. They dont have to at all, they choose to. They could be sparing with people at their level but if they see him walking around or standing there, they go spar with him. That means more than people realize. SIMPLE THINGS GO SO VERY FAR! Coaches deal with kids great. At first I Thought that sometimes they should be a little harder lol but noticed that they are hard when they need to be and keep it fun and keep kids engaged. The environment is relaxing to me. I feel like my son is growing in so many ways. I have never, and i mean never seen him so focused and happy doing a sport. Also I see him getting more confident. He comes home trying to teach us all. Everyone and everything about this place is so welcoming. It is worth a try and a great experience whether you stick with it or not.

At age 60, it’s can be a little intimidating as a beginner walking into a boxing academy, but the folks at RBA make you feel like good family. My grand twins and I take a private lesson with Coach Threatt once a week and then one of the twins (Lexi “The Champ” Cola Carter) trains on Tuesday & Thursday in group session. I’ve been a teacher for 25+ years and I know quality instruction when I see it- and RBA has the touch, or should I say “the jab!” Beautiful, loving people. 🤓🥰💪💪🥊🥊

I started my son into boxing when he was 8yrs old in 2018. The place we started was a complete BUST but it was his introduction into the sport. After about a year I knew it wouldn’t get my son to the place he wanted to be in this sport so I found him a personal trainer to work with for about another year and in 2020 my sons trainer at the time pulled me aside and told me about coach perry at RBA. Being introduced to coach perry and his family at RBA was a TRUE BLESSING because the LOVE, PASSION, ATTENTIVENESS,MORALS, KNOWLEDGE & RESPECT he has for the boxing game is IMMEASURABLE. This is the best boxing gym in South Carolina and not only do they have the hardware to prove it, but when you’re in there you feel greatness the environment is super welcoming I push anyone who wants to get into boxing to come here once you’re in there they treat you like your family. I reached out to Rodriguez Boxing Academy to setup a group conditioning program for 15 kids ages 8-10 and my youngest son who's 6. We had our first session yesterday and OMG, it was organized, engaging, and fun. I had no idea what to expect, but the amount of effort and thought put into the program, absolutely blew away expectations! Perry and his wife Teresa put in a ton of work and made the kids first experience boxing, something they will never forget! I can't thank them enough, everyone is looking forward to our next session! It’s a superior alternative to watching/playing video games!
The Coaches are balanced and so amazing in their approach to students of every age.

I ran into this place right before it opened. From my first conversation over the phone with Teresa, I knew this place was different. I am a 42 year old guy that had fairly recently had a kidney transplant, who was very out of shape, who has never been particularly athletic, who had hardly ever even watched boxing. Coach Perry may be the most positive influence I have had in my life in a long time. He pushes you to be a better you. All he wants is the effort. RBA is great for anybody that wants to become a competition fighter, but it is just as good for those of us that want to get in better shape and want to do it by actually doing a sport. Come in on a Friday night and you may see me sparring against one of Golden Gloves champs we have at the gym. This gym is a life altering kind of place. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!

Great fighters I was humbled there. Owner is very Passionate about his business and his family. Sometimes you need to get hit to wake up and train harder. This is a great gym. My son absolutely loves going to this gym. This place is a second home to him, if I don’t feel like taking him to the gym he’s totally disappointed. We have been made to feel welcome from the first time we stepped into the building for open house. My Son is on the competition team so I am there from 6pm sometimes until 9pm daily. Everyone is treated with respect, no one is made to feel like they are being bullied. From the time Coach Perry, Coach Justin, and Teresa puts in you can tell their heart is in what they teach here. We’ve been going to this gym for over a year and my Son was excited when he first started but he is more excited now about going than he was the first day. I appreciate the fact that my Son isn’t just being taught the science and technique of boxing, but he’s also being taught to be confident without being cocky!!! As long as my Son wants to box, RBA will be where he goes. He would never consider any other gym!!!!!!

I was lucky enough to box in one of the most prestigious gyms in the country prior to moving down to S.C. Before joining RBA I joined another boxing gym and did not have the best experience. From Day 1 the coaches at RBA we’re engaged with me, wanted to get to know me, both as a person and as a boxer. They take the extra time to work one-on-one with you and push you. It’s a fun group to be around and they bring the best out of you. It reminds me of the gym from back home where I was surrounded by professionals, but with an even better atmosphere. I first learned about RBA through IG. coach Perry was so nice and inviting that I couldn't help but want to visit. From the first moment I arrived I could feel the positive vibe and enthusiasm from everyone in the gym. My mental and physical health have both improved since starting and honestly I don't think the RBA family will ever be something I'm not part of.
