Shift is the real deal!! Class scheduling is perfect, instructors are the best in Charleston, and the small class sizes create a very personalized Pilates experience. I have watched my body transform into what I have always craved in the last year and it is directly related to my new found love of Pilates. Thank you Diana, Ali, Molly, Jennifer, Anna, Rebecca, Kalen…cream of the crop in all things Pilates!!

I’ve don’t a lot of mat Pilates but am new to the reformer. Purchased a three month package after doing a free Initiate class. Love the small studio size that allows for a lot of attention and personal guidance from the instructors. Try it!

Loved my mat Pilates class with Laura! She was warm, and attentive, and I could immediately feel my core and posture muscles engaging in a way that felt longer, stronger, and more aligned. The studio is adorable—clean, bright, and calming—making the whole experience feel refreshing from start to finish. Highly recommend! 🌿✨

Shift is my first experience going to a dedicated Pilates studio (vs just mat classes at the gym) and I can’t say enough good things! The instructors are all well trained and personable, the small class size feels like you get individual instruction when needed and I feel stronger already. So happy to have this spot so close to home! And I love the coffee shop also owned by the same folks next door💚

I’ve been taking Pilates with Shift for over a year and have been absolutely loving it! The equipment class sizes are small with only four people which has given me more instructor feedback in class. I also love the supportive and friendly environment. The instructors and other students have been friendly and kind in my experience. I also really like that they offer alternative classes to reformer like mat and chair which has helped me a lot with my Pilates practice. Would definitely recommend trying the intro class to get a feel for this studio!

Shift in West Ashley has a beautiful studio with very talented instructors. The small 4 person group makes it feel like a private class. My only complaint is that the foot bars on the reformers are not padded which hurts my feet and hands. Found it surprising since their downtown studio seems to have them padded.

I had an amazing experience taking one of Diana’s classes. It was my first time ever doing Pilates, and I’m a little heavier and was so worried BUT Diana was SO welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable. My first class, and I feel I learned so much!!! Cannot wait to continue my Pilates journey here 💜😎

After 15 years away from Pilates, and having only taken mat classes before, I decided to try Shift, and I’m so glad I did! One of the draws for me was the levels of classes. I was able to join an introductory class then the stating level instead of having to jump in with very experienced other members. I’ve felt supported and encouraged by all 3 of the instructors I’ve worked with so far! The space is comfortable and welcoming. Highly recommend!

As a woman with fibromyalgia, I’ve always found it hard to find consistent exercise that makes me feel GOOD. I think finding Shift is the first time I’ve ever felt better AFTER an exercise than before! For the first time, I have found myself surprised that an hour is up after a session with our wonderful instructor, Rebecca. They have been incredibly patient with my busy schedule and are willing to come in at odd times for their clients. After just 2 sessions my overall wellbeing has improved (according to my Oura ring) and my sleep score is better than ever! I can’t wait to continue my journey at Shift.

I was nervous to try this class because I had never taken a mat Pilates class before, or a barre class. The instructor was calm, reassuring and great at giving directions and helping fix postures. It was challenging and fun at the same time and I will definitely be going back!

I had 2 abdominal surgeries and was unsure how to heal and get strong in a safe way. Pilates at Shift has been restorative and strengthened me in ways I have never been! I love this studio! I’m more regular at the Downtown location but this spot is beautiful and I love going when I can. The class sizes are small and great for hands-on instruction. I tried the post partum class for recovery and I honestly wish I had found it sooner. I look forward to my time spent on the reformer or mat here.

I just took a fabulous pilates tower class at Shift in west ashley. Not your old school sweaty tower class, with legs and arms flying around the room. The teacher, Camille Cina, is a very well seasoned professional. Camille delivered an intelligent, purpose-filled class of controlled movements, using the pilates tower springs as her props. I left this 50 min class feeling not only more aligned, but more aware of how your arms and legs should move gracefully from your core.

I am newly obsessed with Pilates thanks to Shift. Diana and Ali are amazing instructors, the space is clean and beautiful, and they have multiple classes after 5 pm as well as classes on Saturdays! I LOVE how there are only 4 people per class so the instructors can provide individual corrections and recommendations. Kind people, an approachable atmosphere, and a great workout. Highly recommend.

I only started practicing Pilates a couple of months ago, splitting my time between here and another studio in West Ashley. I work a job that requires a lot of physical movement and occasional heavy lifting and I have started to notice a difference in how I move around and how I'm feeling after a long day. I enjoy the comfortable atmosphere of Shift Pilates; the staff is friendly and communicative. The pricing is reasonable with opportunities for discounted rates and I found the free intro class led by the owner to be very welcoming. Lately, I have been enjoying the mat classes offered by Marla and I look forward to incorporating those exercises next time I'm on the reformer.
