We so enjoyed this camp. Steve was an outstanding instructor. He was encouraging and full of instructions for all levels of players . His attention to details was top notch .i can certainly say i learned alot this week We will definitely be back for another week . Christian was very knowledgeable , kind and super helpful to all of us and made the camp a fun atmosphere. We were blessed to have both of these instructors this week. A big thank you to Steve and Christian for being present and totally caring about
every person in camp at each session . Our time was well spent with you guys this week .

Han an excellent weekend at the Shipyard. Participated in a doubles clinic lead by Steve, Jim, Christian and Elaina. Drills and games planned to make you think and move beyond the normal drills. All coaches are approachable and want to teach if you want to learn.

Facility was impeccable with plenty of picturesque courts. Amazing to end the clinic and get to stay to watch a high level match.

I look forward to coming back for future visits!

I had a fantastic tennis experience at the Van der Meer Tennis Clinic. The coaches were very knowledgeable, and we learned alot of new drills. It was at a good pace and very much worth the money. This is my third year attending this weekend clinic and I always learn something new.

When I first got into Tennis I came to a Van De Meer tennis camp. I still have my original t-shirt and my picture with Dennis! 2 hip replacements later I came back to see if I still had it. Louie, Steve and his great Pro's did not disappoint. The instruction, the simple cues that you hear as you are hitting are the best! I now can't wait to maybe try the Sweetbriar tennis camp that they have each June. Thank you Van De Meer for reinstating my love of the game!

I have been coming to the Van Der Meer Tennis Center since 2020 and this facility has always been outstanding! The tennis professionals: Scott, Dr. Louie, Steve, Lou; just to name a few, and all of the caring instructors really know their craft and are very capable of making it a great experience for every tennis player at all levels and ages. I highly recommend the Boomer Weekend for the 50 plus player; it's the perfect amount of tennis for any player wanting to improve their game. And each clinic that I attend just makes me want to come back to VDM again and again!

Great instruction on strokes and strategy.....more stroke work than I expected which was a pleasant surprise. Great pro to group ratio - was never lower than 1 pro with 4 players - except in very brief sessions where all of us were addressed as one group. We hope to do it again....was also more of a physical workout than expected - which was great! Good mix of 'students' with good attitudes.

I had never been to a tennis camp before and I was very impressed and satisfied with this camp. Louie’s expert and detailed instructions to the group were very helpful, and the individual pointers from Louie, Steve and Luke really helped me in the drills. My only criticism is that I would have liked more doubles play at the end of each day’s session.

The camp was amazing. The staff did an outstanding job of teaching all the aspects of Tennis from serves to back hands, forehand, lobs, and positioning on court. They made the drills, fun and competitive. Well worth the money and will definitely be back. My game is already beginning to improve from what they have taught me. The facilities are of the highest quality set in an atmosphere, that is just absolutely amazing.

The Weekend Clinic exceeded expectations. Like a bad penny, I keep coming back.
The VDM experience begins with the sign up process with the versatile Scott-- the gent sets up accomodations and is the photographer, too.
Louie, the Master Instructor keeps "everybody" on the move while barking out quips, tips and jokes. By the way, Coach Justin ably complimented Louie.
Generally, I show up as an introverted, enthusiastic tennis player, but after running through drills with like minded tennis players, I depart with a stronger love for the great game of tennis, and a genuine appreciation for all of my fellow tennis players.

I highly recommend Shipyard Van Der Meer Tennis. I was so impressed by the facility (including the many well maintained indoor and outdoor clay and hard surface courts), as well as the tennis pros and support staff (very experienced and ensuring expert instruction to all participants). Very professional coaching staff has us returning annually, three years running now. Weekend doubles clinics are equally appropriate for men and women -- hit a LOT of tennis balls and get a little coaching and match play. If more coaching is desired, you'll need to pay for private or semi-private lessons with Steve, Scott, Hannah, Tim, or Mark. Stroke of the Day (more individual instruction) and Live Ball clinics (stroke repetition) are also available. Indoor climate-controlled courts (for rainy days), complimentary video instruction, snacks, finger food, adult and non-alcoholic beverages, and a CD full of instructive tennis files are great bonuses...! Competitive prices with payment options. Definitely recommend.

I did the 5 day adult clinic. Learned a lot and got a solid workout. Dr. Louie is a great instructor mixing up video analysis, daily stroke breakdown, drills, and set play. New asst coach Greysin hits a nice ball. Will definitely test your level. Courts played well in a beautiful nature setting. Lots of bike trails everywhere in HH. I'll be back!

I went with my tennis friends a few years ago. It was the most fun! The hotel is conveniently next to the tennis courts. It is clay so even though it was hot, the courts did not get too steamy. We could take classes in the morning, shop and relax, then play for fun later. The hotel was elegant with great food and friendly service. Swimming pool was clean and picturesque with the requisite umbrella drinks. Yum! I can't wait to go again.
