Sparkle City Gymnastics is always a hit. The ladies take time to train the girls and its a loving environment. The instructors love what they do, they always have a smile on their face. When they tell you that the classes are 1 hour they are 1 hour. Some other gyms do about 50 minutes so your children acrually get their entire gym time. O highly recommend them in the Spartanburg Community.

We have been with this gym for a year. There has been a significant reduction in skill level. The classes and equipment is overcrowded. It is not an environment that is accommodating of children with over stimulation difficulties. They care more about the money and filling classes than about the children's progress. There is a complete lack of consistency and some staff lack empathy and patience with the smaller children.

Daughter has been going for close to a year, they switch teachers almost monthly and none seem to have a clue how to teach.. the lessons are basically the same each week none of the kids learn anything to advance to the next level especially for $90+ a month with only one lesson a week and lots of shut down days. Will be searching for a new school soon. Only reason she's still there is she has friends there.

Our daughter just had her first class with Coach Leighton and absolutely loved it. She was shy at first and the coaches were very patient and built her confidence and trust in them very quickly. She actually cried when it was time to leave. Guess our Friday afternoons are booked for the foreseeable future.

I love the gym; it's an excellent place for my daughter to practice the gymnastics she loves so much. However, the teacher who gives classes to the 4-5-year-old girls does not seem the most suitable. She does not pay attention to the children; she needs to encourage them more and does not do so. A more suitable teacher for young children or two teachers for such a large group of girls is needed. Thanks for your attention.

The Friday teacher does not know how to interact with kids and has an attitude.
My daughter told the teacher her foot hurt and she said “I don’t care”. There was another instance that happened also. I emailed them to let them know this hurt my child’s feelings and the owner was supposed to call me 3 weeks ago to talk about the situation, never happened.

We have had many mishaps, with this place

My daughter only attended 3 times with a month’s payment, the next month they took more than $200 from that account without my daughter attending again, we called the bank 🏦 we made the claim and according to the bank that gym 🏋️‍♀️ VAT to be blocked, and today they took back $172 money that we have not authorized, they don’t answer the emails, $500 we have lost 😠 why doesn’t the bank not answer us either, great horror to see my daughter put in that place

I want to warn everyone who is thinking of sending their child to this gym. be vigilant and attentive and always ask them for all the information, and specify several times what you pay for, and must pay, because such a situation happened to us, in August they called us and asked if the child would participate in competitions, we answered no will not, they said that she will simply remain in the same group, but without competition. we were told ok, no problem, but we were not warned that we had to pay coaching fines. we found out about this when we decided to take the child from this gym, and we got a surprise of $ 700 for coaching fines, due to the fact that the child remained to train in this group. if we had been warned from the beginning, we would not have left a child in this group. due to the fact that the child does not participate in competitions, they began to treat her badly, and almost every training session we take her away with tears.

The person teaching on Friday evenings has no experience with small children. They need someone who is able to understand that at this age a child has to be helped to do what you are asking.

We love Sparkle City Gymnastics! My daughter started in the Rec program and very quickly progressed in her skills and was able to move up to pre-team. She has recently moved up to team. Enrolled toddler, first day they were late opening. The instructor is new and doesn’t know how to teach toddlers. Arrived for a class and after waiting for 30minutes with nobody opening we left. I emailed and asked for a refund and was told they don’t do refunds. I paid for the classes she took in June, but shouldn’t be charged for July. Terrible and I would recommend you go elsewhere.

The gym will try to take extra money by charging excessive fees on everything. You are required to volunteer or charged a fee. Competition feee are required, but you never get to see the actual amount charged by the competition. You have to pay a processing fee for competition fees, but there is no option to pay them yourself.

The lady that sits at the desk is so rude and unprofessional. She has no respect or concern for anyone accept getting your money. Very bad experience with her.
