She took the time to walk me through nutrition, body movement, and my personal health goals in a way that was approachable and insightful. I learned so much in just one session!

I've been working with the fabulous folks at StrongSelves for about 9 months now. I was about 35 pounds overweight and had little to no physical activity beyond walking my dog every day. Strong Selves is the best personal training, self development program I have ever been a part of. In addition, we all support each other and have the best women in this group. I cannot stress enough how this has helped me in all aspects of my life. For the first time in my life, I actually look forward to working out. This studio offers both personal training and small group training just for women. I randomly found StrongSelves while doing an online search for fitness coaching. I am in my mid-60’s and was struggling with lower back issues. I had trouble doing any type of workouts without aggravating my back. I was looking for a personal trainer who could guide me with my fitness goals.

I started doing one-on-one training with Coach Amanda at StrongSelves about 3-1/2 months ago. She has an extensive background in sports medicine, physical therapy, and athletic training. She has such an upbeat and positive attitude in working with her clients. Her encouragement gives me the strength I need to continue with my workouts, even when it’s hard. She knows when to push and challenge me, and how to modify workout routines to meet my body’s needs. I am happy to say that (after such a short time) I have learned a lot, and I am feeling stronger every day. Under Amanda’s guidance, I have been learning proper form and technique while working out…this has minimized injury to my back.

Two weeks ago I decided to challenge myself even further by signing up for a self-development training program that the studio offers. I still have amazing coaching support by Amanda, as well as Cat (another outstanding coach at StrongSelves). But now I workout in small groups (with other women who have similar fitness goals). Focus is on gaining control of both mind and body.

Before joining StrongSelves I was feeling helpless and almost ready to give up on having any type of fitness routine. Now I have hope for a healthy life ahead. I never expected to gain so much from a fitness studio or a fitness coach in such a short period of time. But I am enjoying this journey of self-awareness and growth. As a 50 year old Army Veteran, I struggled with numerous health issues and weight gain for years and it became overwhelming and depressing. No matter what I did, chronic pain (migraines, sciatica, flat feet, hip bursitis, SI joint, knee pain, IT band, etc) and weight gain was my portion. I was depressed, battling insomnia, sleep apnea, and limited in enjoying activities I once enjoyed because I was in pain everyday. Prescription meds did nothing to resolve my issues that ran deep in my tissues.

After embarking upon StrongSelves via a random Google search, I began working with Amanda, Victoria and Catrina. I began to regain stamina, strength and mobility. They created a culture that was challenging, fun, and edifying to my mental, emotional and physical well-being. Each of them brought their expertise and wealth of knowledge to our semi-personal training sessions which included up to 4 women per session.

I was most impressed by the mindfulness sessions which dismantled limited belief systems that did not support our new found goals. Their attention to detail and emphasis on proper form and technique unlocked deep rooted emotions that also were stored away in areas of my body unknown to me that brought me great relief emotionally and physically. It was so pivotal, I even shed a few tears. They provided tips that were revelatory, practical yet, empowering.

I have gained great improvement in my mobility and my mindset. Inches are slowly melting away and my clothes fit loser. I still have a long road ahead of me to achieve my goals but, I am more confident than I have been in years and determined to keep going. I believe that with the support and practical applications Amanda, Catrina and Victoria have given me along with encouragement and support of my peers, I will be successful.

Bri at Strongselves is an absolute treasure! So glad I took the plunge and let her train me. I'd been working out on my own for some time, following routines put out by internet fitness gurus, and ended up hurting myself. I came to Bri with limiting back pain and I was worried I wouldn't be able to exercise at an effective capacity. She taught me how to work in a way that was safe, supportive, specific to my unique needs, and still gave me a killer burn at the end of each session. Victoria is a wonderful trainer! I have been going to her for 3 months. I was completely out of shape when I began. I started with 2 months of personal training where she focused on teaching me the right way to do exercises, helping me with my diet/nutrition and getting me prepared for small group classes. That was definitely the way to start. This past month doing small group classes has been so much fun and motivating and I have surprised myself with what I have accomplished. She offers great workouts, constantly changing them and making sure to keep your body guessing and not get complacent. I came down to the beach this year and never want to skip my workouts, so I found Victoria on Thumbtack and the workout was GREAT!! I was sore for 3 days!! We did a high intensity training and Victoria was really good at watching my form, which made a huge difference during my workouts. I usually cannot feel my abs due to my two kidney transplants I have had, but after the workout with Victoria I for sure felt them and my butt 🤣. I would try to workout on my own but then after a couple days I was having trouble walking. Victoria did research on my condition to figure out the best exercises for me. Sometimes we should take into account the signs that the Universe sends us !!!
The idea of ​​traveling with Victoria and a group of her clients to Asheville, NC was very spontaneous for me.
Discussing the details of the trip over the phone with Victoria, whom I didn’t even know personally, I couldn’t imagine that in the future this trip will change my life, my thoughts, my energy, me in general. 🙏🏼✨
At that time, I just wanted to get out of town. But, after having familiarized myself with the details of the trip, with Victoria’s “Travel & Get Fit” program, I clearly understood that I was very lucky to get those 2 last spots (for me and my girlfriend) to go on the trip with her.

On the way home, I felt a tremendous surge of strength, a "bright" mind, I answered myself all the questions that could not be answered in everyday busy life. I was filled with indescribably magical energy, in every cell of my body.

I didn’t contact her because I just wanted to lose weight. My goal was and is to live a healthy life full of positive energy. I’ve been looking for a person who can guide me in my lifestyle change and she’s awesome at that.
From the very first moment we’ve met, I could tell right away that she’s a professional in what she’s doing. She explained everything very clear, also gave a guidance in nutrition, how to fight cellulite and life changing affirmations.

I was a little nervous about getting a personal trainer because I didn't want to feel judged. I'm so glad I did. I learned so much from Victoria. I learned so much more than just exercises. I learned about sleeping and eating habits and even stretches that can be done throughout the day. I love that Victoria posts workout videos on her instagram every week. Victoria is the best trainer for me! I got a lot of useful information from her. About healthy food, how I need to prepare meal, about workout, yoga, what I need to do for sleep good. And plus she give me information about how I need to breathe, about time-management. Even she give me some advice about what I need to do at my work, so I not gonna fell neck pain. Oh where to begin... Victoria stood out to me among other Trainers due to her extremely deep understanding of how the body works mentally & physically. Her Instagram posts gave so much insight on how to be healthy in this day and age with setting goals at first and showing how to achieve those goals with great form, determination, and discipline. She is the cornerstone to my productivity and positive outlook for my days throughout the week. I workout with her 4 times a week and sometimes I still think I want more. (Starting from just 3 days a week) She will push you and it'll be tough at first but the continuity and progression (especially with my flexibility) have immensely expanded my focus into my weekly habit that helps with my passion for uni-cycling.
