I've just started my work with Barbara, however I have a new awareness to my body and how to move in it from a new place of strength that also provides for freedom in other areas of my body, especially my shoulders and arms; from this place they open up and have more flexibility. I've also noticed an astounding amont of length that appears when applying the principles. I'm also discovering new awarenesses of how to move on my bikes when road cycling and mountain biking. I'm eager to continue to experiment with how this will impact my sport as I improve the new way of moving through continued work with Barbara.

The gyrotonic exercise method is something I look forward to every week. No matter how I feel when I arrive at Barbara's studio, I feel better when I leave. She is a masterful teacher and puts great effort to continue learning to benefit her students. I am constantly learning a new exercise to benefit my body. Gyrotonic exercise is one of the best things I have ever done for myself.

When I was younger I trained in ballet. As the years have passed I have realized that I am suffering from that earlier experience. Gyrontonic excercise with Barbara has helped identify those problems and has allowed me to improve my posture, strength and balance. Areas of concerns such as my shoulders and hips have been addressed and it is amazing how much less discomfort and stiffness I am now experiencing.
I look forward to every session and so enjoy my time with Barbara and leave feeling I am truly in a better place.
