I usually never leave reviews because I work in hospitality, so I understand how hard things can be at times, but I'm extremely disappointed. I have been to the works renew in Mount pleasant many times and I absolutely love the instructors, the work out, and the welcoming atmosphere. However, this was not the case with trying this location. Me and my friend were trying this location for the first time and I had accidentally gone to the down town location, which meant I'd be 5 minutes late to class trying to get to the right location. I didn't wanna be disrespectful coming in class late, so I had my friend who was already there double check, even triple check with the instructor and front desk that it was okay I come in late, and they ensured it was. When I came in I quickly nodded to the instructor and explained I was so sorry for being late, it was an honest mistake as I was at the down town location. She was standoffish at best and said "it's fine" but seemed annoyed. That was disappointing since I asked if it was okay I come 5 minutes late, but understandable. However, after the class I learned from my friend that when she came in she felt unwelcomed by the staff. We had both never been to this location and were eager to try something new, since we've had such great experiences with the other locations. My friend didn't know what equipment she needed and she was sassily directed to "look at the wipe off board" and they told her she needed to bring a band to classes, we didn't know that, as this was quite literally our first time. The staff seemed annoyed and inconvenienced by us not knowing where anything is/ what we needed, even though my friend said it was her first time. It'd stuff like this that makes people not want to try new studios, with fear of feeling unwelcomed. Moving forward I will be sticking to the other locations.

Packed to the brim so if sardine can setup isn’t your thing you might not like it but I didn’t mind! I loved the 45 sculpt express class. I don’t know if it was from the heat or the bands/weights but I definitely sweat!

The Works is my favorite place to get my daily workout and “me time”! Every class is thoughtfully designed to strengthen both your body and mind while giving you a great sweat. It’s been a game changer for strengthening my hips and addressing areas that have caused me pain for years. I’ve seen the positive impact of these classes across multiple aspects of my life — I highly recommend them!

#Getintheroom —— All I can say is wow and what an experience. I love the works. The classes have made me stronger but the impact on my mental health is the real game changer that makes the experience. —- so powerful and definitely worth trying out …. but don’t be surprised if you get hooked!

No other gym/ studio has ever made me feel more motivated than The Works!! All the instructors are so welcoming and encourage you throughout your entire workout. They also have a variety of classes like weight focused, hot yoga, and deep stretch.

I love the works!! I always take Katie's sweat class and I love her workouts, music, and motivation. She always says "do it because you can" and I LOVE THAT. My new life motto. Katie and everyone else are so great I will always be a member here.

Absolutely obsessed with the works. One class and I was hooked. The sweat you get from each class is 10/10. Yoga has changed the game in terms of my mental health. So happy to be a member!

I just recently moved to the area and was looking for a yoga studio to start a membership at. I always try different studios in the area and ultimately determine which class I prefer the best. The Works Studio caught my eye immediately and their classes seemed to be in line with exactly what I was looking for…. Safe to say, I will not be returning. The class was EXTREMELY packed to the point where there was truly no freedom to move and your personal space is completely violated. I’m not sure if it was just the instructor, but she was extremely difficult to hear over the music she was playing, went WAY too fast (if you don’t know what you’re doing you’re screwed) and I hate to say, not friendly at all !! (And that’s coming from someone who spent 22 years with New Jersey “hospitality”). Typically after a first class the instructor will ask how the class went, etc., I think Susanne was just excited to get home. It was unfortunate because I was super excited about this studio and ultimately decided I will not be purchasing a membership here . Oh and if you go to their studio downtown, you will have to pay for parking(: how nice

I’m only here for 2 days visiting my best friend and we don’t get to see each other very often, so we booked and paid for seats next to each other online, and we show up and they gave our seats away and put us on opposite sides of the class. The lockers they gave us even had our original seats on them, and the front girl did nothing and barely apologized. THEN I get into the class, and my bike is broken!!! The resistance doesn’t work, so I sit on my bike the entire class and get no workout in. I let the instructor know and she knew the bike was broken and was surprised they took a hold off that bike! The instructor also was very hard to understand during the class. I let the front desk girl know she moved me to a broken bike at the end of the class and that I got no workout in and she just said oops sorry. I was never offered a refund or a comp or anything. I would not recommend coming here. The staff was not helpful at all. I am extremely disappointed and it was a waste of time.
UPDATE: The owner was out of town this day and read my review and apologized and gave me a refund of the class, so I am giving this 2 stars instead of 1. I still think their staff needs to be trained better on how to treat the customers in this sort of situation, every other workout studio I have gone to has been a lot better about ensuring the paying customer is treated exceptionally.

Yoga-because therapy once a week is too expensive 😝 I love the teachers, vibe, and welcomes of the studio. The goal isn’t to do poses perfectly or be perfect, but to listen to your body and enjoy your yoga. I’ve been to many studios that I’ve enjoyed but I feel like The Works really is a sincere dose of motivation both physically and mentally in every class.

This place is more than a yoga studio, it’s a community. I leave feeling empowered and strong. I love the variety of class offerings and their instructors are top notch. The music and lighting is a vibe and each time I go I find myself drawn back. I find myself actively trying not to go 7 days a week. If you haven’t tried theworks before this is your sign to get in the room!

This studio PACKS their classes to a point which seems unhealthy / unsafe and is definitely not conducive to those looking for a yoga class and space to unwind. 55 people in one room is way too many.
The sound system is blown out and the music is so loud you can’t hear yourself think or even clearly hear the instructor on their microphone telling you how to move.
Mash up vinyasa is nothing like yoga vinyasa. Make sure you understand what you’re signing up for. As someone who who had never been there before, I was not aware of this and wouldn’t have taken the class if I did know.
They also don’t offer military discount :/
Things I did like: Maddy was very kind. They also set up a cubby for me with a towel and such which was appreciated.

I moved to CHS about two years ago and have been going to The Works consistently for the last 6 months. I work remote and being new to the area, I didn't know many people. The environment at The Works is so welcoming and really supports a healthy mind/healthy body. The instructors are amazing and I enjoy going to the variety of classes they offer. It is never boring! It is challenging and can be fast-paced but don't let that intimidate you. You can go at your own rate and you will get better and better! It's so much fun, they play great music, promote positive vibes and you will leave feeling proud of yourself! I'm so much stronger and healthier because of this practice. Trust me, it's worth the effort- JUST GO and GET IN THE ROOM!

I’m not even sure how to put into words how Kiiras 6am class made me feel. It moved me. It changed me. It was EVERYTHING….. get in that room! My only regret is waiting almost 2 years to go to the WORKS! Best thing I have done for myself since moving to MTP in July of 2020! Thank you Kiira 🙏 big fan!

This studio is GREAT!
Currently, it is the best pop-up yoga studio I’ve ever attended. Conveniently located right next to where the permanent studio will be! Soon, it will be the best permanent studio in Mount Pleasant! The classes are different every time, the teachers are fantastic, and I am losing weight rapidly in their classes. I love that when you’re in a hot yoga class, you can expect real great yoga. When you are in a class that has HIIT elements, you can expect a great workout. All thanks to some good old fashion HotYoga!
