About the Club

The Works Renew is the complement to The Works Sweat Studio and The Works Cycle. This studio will focus on slowing down and nurturing the body through modalities that incorporate breathwork, meditation and intentional healing movement. All classes are room temperature and taught with music that is softer without a mic to balance out the nervous system. Classes at The Works Renew will be a smaller class size with more space to expand on your practice.

Up until about a month ago I was one of those people who struggled with anxiety and also just thought breathing is breathing, why would I need a class to intentionally focus on just that? In reality, one of the most effective entry points for cultivating the relaxation response is altering the way in which we breathe. As someone who loves The Works Cycle and finds themself there 3-4 times every week, I thought popping into The Breather 45 with Taylor might be a good compliment to my weekly routine, so I gave it a shot. Now, this is how I start my Sunday. Each. Week. This class is not just the biggest hug for your nervous system, it truly helps to lay the foundation for a week filled with calmer moments, more gratitude, and offers a space to check in with yourself. Taylor is so kind and welcoming, she creates an amazing environment and is so passionate about what she does. If you're looking for a way to short-circuit the stress response, go book The Breather 45 and thank me later.

I've been to a few classes at this location, the breathing class, an assisted vinyasa, and a vinyasa.
Pros: the breathing class was my favorite, very unique. There are also multiple different class and time options. I also like how some classes are only 45 minutes.
Cons: The classes are always very overcrowded. I can never fully feel comfortable moving around when people are so close to me. The vinyasa class was very rushed and didn't flow well, it was just one movement after another, but not much concentration on each pose which I didn't prefer.

My first experience at this new studio! I accidentally went to The Works in the Oyster Park shopping center but luckily this one is right across the street. The hands on assists were AMAZING I’m so glad they offer more deep stretch and slow flow classes here!
