We booked a private class for a bachelorette party in Charleston and had such a great time! Meg and the studio were so accommodating for our group and it was a great way to kick off the weekend. THANK YOU!

Urban yoga is a perfect blend of anything you would look for in a yoga studio- with a hybrid of a traditional/spiritual practice combined with a βmodern flowβ it has a style to fit any yogi! I have been to most yoga studios in the Charleston area, and urban will always be my home base for yoga. The heated panels are infrared and will give you a sweat from the inside out that no other heated studios can offer. Also truly amazing, caring and knowledgeable staff that will go above and beyond for their students. Highly recommend urban for anyone, whether you are a beginner or advanced, you truly canβt go wrong.

Urban is a beautiful studio with world class teachers. Only good vibes and happy hearts here! Pro tip: take a class when itβs raining. Hearing those droplets hitting the rooftop will melt away any stresses of the day <3

Warm, welcoming, inclusive. As a novice practitioner, I find that Urban makes their classes accessible to all ability levels, whether you want a pilates style cardio workout or more of a slow flow. The staff and community at Urban are awesome. Meg's classes are all great, btw!

Urban Yoga offers a warm community in a beautiful studio with a super amazing staff to compliment. Classes cater to all levels which allows the student to bring their practice to the intensity level desired at the present time. The infrared heating system feels detoxifying inside and out, the full wall mural is inspirational, vibes are good!

I can't say enough positive remarks to explain the complete experience that the studio brings each class. I have enjoyed getting to train with several of the teachers and exploring new types of practices: from classic Ashtanga to HIIT Pilates, all classes have been a great addition to my practice. Namaste and thank you for being my yoga home.

I have been practicing yoga for just over a year. This is a nice studio but Nikki Patrick was very closed minded and unhelpful. I am not a master at this art by any means but Nikki made me feel embarrassed.

My home. My heart. A studio that actually teaches real yoga. A gem in Charleston as the yoga scene here is very exercised based and tends to steer away from tradition. Donβt get me wrong Urban definitely mixes it up..has an array of different styles and teachers. The most welcoming, authentic yoga in Charleston.

I love this studio! I had been searching for a new yoga studio in Charleston for a little while, and finally found this one. It's a nice space to practice, and I enjoy the variety of classes offered, particularly Kali's Power Flow and Inferno Pilates classes. One of my favorite parts of the studio is that the teachers are so detailed in their instruction and correct you on minor details, which really makes a difference in improving your practice!
I definitely recommend checking out Urban Yoga - it's such a great deal for the price you pay.

Urban Yoga is my absolute favorite studio in Charleston. The owner, Meg, has created an intimate space that offers challenging and calming vinyasa flows in an infrared radiant heated space. The instructors are fantastic and each bring a unique experience to their classes. The studio offers a variety of options from "slow burn" to "hot power yoga" and a juicy "candlelight vinyasa." If you want to sweat while getting out of your head and into your body, then look no further!

If Bikram Yoga Charleston is my wife for life, then Urban Yoga is certainly my mistress. I've been practicing bikram religiously for 2 years and felt like I'd hit a plateau (aka a standing split in dancers pose is NEVER going to happen).
Enter Inferno Hot Pilates. Holy Hell this is a workout. It's 90-95 degrees, they play rap music, and it's an incredible core workout. Kali is awesome! I bought the $50 first month unlimited special and haven gotten my pilates worth from it. I've been going 2x per week and can tell a major difference in my strength since I started. I can't speak for any of the yoga classes but I imagine they're great as well.
Urban Yoga is an adorable, hip, Instagram worthy studio on Upper King Street. Most of the clientele appear to be super fit CofC girls. By the way, major props to the college girls who are at inferno pilates at 8:15 am on a Saturday morning - that is definitely not what I was doing on a Saturday mornings at that age.
I'm super excited that I discovered Urban Yoga Charleston and am even more excited to add Inferno Hot Pilates to my workout regimen. You should try it too!

Urban is definitely my favorite yoga studio in Charleston, and Iβve tried them all except Redux.
There are some beginner classes, but as a whole, the studio is geared towards intermediate / advanced students. There is no shortage of heated power and pilates classes either, and the heat is so even in comparison to other studios. If you are looking for a challenge and to continually push the limits of your practice this is the place for you.
There are regular workshops where you can hone specific aspects of your practice (inversions, alignment, breathing, spiritual, etc) and the teachers are very knowledgeable and personable. I learn new poses or variations nearly every class!
If youβre looking to get your butt kicked take a power class with Kali or Ji. Youβll be a puddle before the hour is up.

Meg and the gang at Urban Yoga have been able to create a wonderful space in which to practice all levels of yoga. The friendly staff and the welcoming atmosphere of the space itself allows you to leave the stress of the day at the door. The instructors are well trained and are proactive on giving both hands on adjustments as well as posture modifications as needed. Ever wanted to try a heated yoga class? Try the Slow Burn class on Monday Nights; its a true winner!

I was a first time Yoga participant when I started at Urban. I currently do Crossfit and compete and was looking to learn better breathing techniques, balance, and develop more core strength. My instructor Kali took the time to understand my athletic history and set the expectation up front as to how things would translate into my other conditioning. Because of Kali and the other instructors, I regularly go to Urban at least once a week. They made me feel comfortable and educated me on many different ways to scale the sessions so I could build confidence in the movements. Extremely professional and friendly staff! 13/10 very good Yogi vibes.....

As a guy who is new to yoga, I was very impressed by the staff at Urban Yoga Charleston. I was initially intimidated by being the least flexible and knowledgeable person in the room. Since my first class, I cannot stop coming back to this studio. After seeing other studios in the city, Urban has the most patient and understanding staff who are all committed to safety, acceptance, and helping the students meet their goals. Iβm always impressed by teachers who greet me by name! This is such an amazing community and studio that will support your goals even if you are just starting! Guys, try it out. Itβs a no judgement zone even if you canβt name one pose!

I first visited Urban Yoga for a workshop taught by my acupuncturist (who I love to death and is AWESOME) to learn more about yoga and more about her. I have practiced yoga very little, and when I did it was more about the flow of movement and the physical gains for me. I'm not flexible (and never have been), and I always enjoyed the way my body felt after class. Urban Yoga is different than other studios I've attended not only in the design of the studio (which is really nice) but also in the classes. I have only been to 4 classes (all with the same teacher and with the encouragement of my favorite acupuncturist), so I can't speak for the others. I had a 5 class pass and that is the class that worked for me (plus it helped that I love the teacher already) It seems like a great place for really intense yogis (which I am not), but I appreciate that they welcome beginners and newbies like myself. In the classes I have attended, I've been a little uncomfortable simply because it is different than other classes I've attended before. I'm not used to the lit candles, singing and chanting, and the different names for postures that are not in English, so I'm learning about the different styles of yoga right now. I don't like to chant something that I don't know what it means (especially in the spiritual realm when I don't know if it goes against my own faith or not), and Polly is good about explaining things. She is also super friendly and very helpful with correcting postures and giving modifications. I wish I could have tried some of the other classes (especially the "Align and Refine" and the non-heated vinyasa), but there is only one A&R class at a random time on a Monday and two non-heated classes at noon during the week. As a working professional with typical business hours the class times are not conducive to my schedule, especially coming from Mt. Pleasant. It's worth a shot to try out and see and learn something different - this has definitely been a challenge and something "outside of my norm" for me.

Very cool Studio that is in a great location. Instructors are super friendly and help guide you through your practice and encourage you to go at your own pace and explore what feels right in that moment. I went to one class and then signed up for the monthly unlimited.

Exceeds all expectations! I've been practicing yoga for 10 years but was really looking for a bit more of a challenging workout. Hot Pilates is it y'all. It's just the ass kickin' I was looking for. Meg (owner) is also super supportive of all levels, offering variations for each exercise. Trust me, I still can't do a proper yoga push-up, but can get through this class feeling amazing afterwards.

I have taken classes at nearly every studio in the Charleston area and I can confidently say that Urban Yoga is the absolute best. I feel like I've found my people! All of the instructors are so welcoming, inviting, and helpful. Even in full classes, they manage to run around and help anyone in need of assistance. They offer so many different styles of yoga for all levels, so if I'm ever just not feeling up to a hot power flow - no big deal! I've gone here for the last three months and never want to leave. My practice has improved, my mind is clearer, and I've made so many amazing new people. I highly recommend to anyone, even beginners!

I have been practicing yoga for many years and I was visiting from out of state and wanted to continue practicing while on vacation. Urban Yoga was the closest to my hotel, which was great. The 2 classes I went to were great. However, during my first class, there was obviously a new person to yoga and the instructor did not offer any assistance. In all my years of practice, all instructors helped out new students. I offered my assistance and the student was thankful for it. I was appalled that neither instructor offered nor demonstrated modifications. I was a bit disappointed that this studio did not offer towels. I was also confused with some of the poses that were called, but figured them out. Would I visit this studio again? I don't know, just didn't feel welcome or inviting.

Urban Yoga is what you get when a business plan is executed perfectly. The space is inviting, calming and energizing. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and creative. The classes are diverse. My classmate brought me to Urban Yoga for their two-week trial deal and I've been going back ever since! There are multiple types of classes offered everyday at times that work for my grad school schedule. The instructors are so welcoming and so approachable with any questions or issues that might come up in or around a session. Highly recommend to anyone at any level of practice - I came in with next to no prior yoga experience.

Urban Yoga is fantastic! The studio is perfect. It is warm, inviting and the perfect size. I love the heating panels they use for the hot classes. They really seem to make a difference compared to other studios just using the HVAC. There is a great variety of classes and they are constantly trying to discover new classes that the students will love to add to their other popular classes. Loving the new Inferno Hot Pilates HIIT class! Every teacher I have had so far has been exceptional. They all have their own style and vibe that they bring to the class and I appreciate all of their differences.
My favorite part about Urban Yoga is that I know the teacher will do an amazing job of facilitating meditation throughout the class.
I cannot say enough good things about Urban Yoga!

After practicing yoga for more than 15 years in many different states, I finally found a studio I can call my home away from home. The community and quality of instruction are amazing! I love the studio space too, especially since it has no mirrors...it really lets me focus on my practice and not be distracted by superficial things.
They really offer something for all levels and styles. The teachers are pretty different, so if you decide to check it out (which I think you should), and the first teacher isn't your fave, definitely try another one!
Drivers, don't be deterred by the location - it's never THAT hard to find a spot. Unmetered spaces along St. Philip are only a block away.

I have practiced in many studios in the Lowcountry and other cities and Urban Yoga is at the top of my list when it comes to where I love to practice. The studio is beautiful and the teachers could not be more inviting and friendly. While they are highly experienced as teachers, more importantly, they genuinely care about their students. Every class is different and appropriate for a variety of levels (including the hot pilates ;)), but the positive energy remains a constant throughout the studio. On top of being an amazing place to practice, the owner, Megan, has a very philanthropic philosophy and continually finds way to give back to our community through yoga. All in all, a truly great experience for everyone!

Wonderful studio. Recently moved from Savannah and was looking for a new yoga-home, and I've found it here in Urban Yoga. The space has a great, chill vibe and is in a perfect location for downtown dwellers. I mostly take the more strenuous classes, and I love them. These are some of the most intense classes I've ever taken, and they push me to my edges but at my own pace. The instructors are fantastic, can't say enough good things. Two thumbs way up.

Urban Yoga has wowed me! It is one of the most warm, inviting, and beautiful yoga spaces in Charleston. I recently attended a balance workshop with Katie Ashley which provided me with the tools to set boundaries and find balance on and off my mat.
