Thank you for your fitness club — we truly appreciate having access to the facility.
However, the lifeguard at the Willis Road YMCA pool continues to create an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience.
She removes people from the pool without clear reason and enforces her own set of rules, which are not listed anywhere on the website or displayed in the pool area.
Why are people allowed into the pool area if they are not permitted to swim?
Why were my children asked to leave, while other adults with their kids were swimming — and the lifeguard said nothing to them?
She even stopped some people at the entrance and told them swimming was not allowed:
“You can leave if you want,” — she said.
They left the pool area and sat on the grass outside.
It was only after my children spoke to the front desk administrator that the lifeguard suddenly changed her attitude and let everyone into the pool.
We pay for a family membership and expect to use the pool during the hours posted on the official schedule.
We came to relax as a family, but instead, our evening was ruined by unnecessary interference and poor communication.

P.S. Based on the photo on your website, it seems that during certain hours, the lap lanes are reserved — but is the other part of the pool still open to the public?
Or does a swim class mean the entire pool is closed to members?
Please clarify, as this confusion affects how families like ours can plan our visits.

Very chill and straightforward. Equipment is up to date, clean and well maintained. Locker rooms are large and clean with showers. Tennis courts indoor and outdoor. Outdoor pool and great walking/running path/trail.

The gym is small which can be very nice. But when it’s busy you have to wait for machines which is a pain. The daycare hours are very odd. And most importantly it’s VERY unorganized! The staff a couple years ago was fantastic but some of the ladies they have up there now are rude

This is a great little YMCA. It has what I need to try and get myself back healthy again. If the Lord lets me make it I'm going to take every chance I can to get healthy. This YMCA has some wonderful people who work for them and are very kind and courteous everytime you come and go. Thank you YMCA for giving me a chance to get myself back healthy again.

Willis road YMCA is a life saver for me! The location is so convenient with home and my kids school. My family and I love walking the trail any time of the day, it’s very relaxing!

Awesome place, lots of perks for members, free daycare while working out, swimming, playing basketball racquetball or pickleball, sauna, steam room, hot tub or soccer. Kids sports are a plus, swim lessons and the list goes on!

Went in to join yesterday. Donnette, at the front desk, was very professional and helpful. I could tell that she was a great problem solver from the many times people came to her with a problem or issue and she helped to solve them immediately. She followed up with me today, while I was at work, to give me an update on summer camp for my daughter. She is the best. The gym is also very clean and well organized. I cant wait to workout there!

The Westside YMCA T- ball is very unorganized starting with the paid leaders. We live two minutes from The Westside YMCA so we had it all planned out, "lol". A day before practices started, we were informed that one child would practice/play at The Westside "Y" while the other one would be at The Middle Tyger location which is extremely inconvenient. On the day of the first practice, several emails and phone calls were made to The Sports Director as well as the person over The Westside YMCA to no return calls or emails. We were also given three locations in Duncan where practices would be held; and it ended up being at a school. About 45 minutes before the practice, The Sports Director did finally give us a call and told us where we needed to be in Duncan. Once we arrived, the coaches was just as confused as we were but great. The only good experience were the coaches. Westside "Y" you have to do better especially when dealing with kids. Communication is so important. This isn't the "Y" I know.

A small recently renovated tennis club with a friendly staff eager to answer any questions you may have. This club offers indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a raquetball court, basketball court, weight room, child watch, work out classes ranging from yoga to cycling and a pool. This club offers an intimate setting to get your work out on or just relax. Go check it out.

Great facilities, though a bit outdated, but they seem to be starting a remodel. Good selection of equipment and classes. Some of the staff seem snobby, and one staffmember made a rude comment because I'm large and I wore a swimsuit in public. Forget the fact that I'm working out there every day to try to improve myself. I guess not everyone has manners. Heather in the nursery is great and super friendly. My kids love her. Overall, it's a good place.
