This is Gaffneys premier gym! 24 hours, Full olympic style free weights tons of bodybuilding machines and a separate full gym, diverse cardio machines, full MMA with all box punching bags and mats, batting cages, basketball, pool table, lounge, juice bar, massage, racquetball, outdoor lounge, outdoor track, 2 full gyms. You are allowed to train hard here! Body builders and boxers/ kickboxing/ karate... this is not a Country Club but it is the only complete gym in the region. I like it! 👍

Horrible cancellation policy. Staff is very nice and it's a good gym, but the cancellation policy is absolutely unnecessarily ridiculous. One star for the policy

Edit: After calling to cancel, no answer. Three days go by and I get a text saying I need to come in to sign a form. Cool, but that was the day of the charge. I asked for a refund, owner said no. It's ridiculous that you can't cancel it over the phone or refund the amount when the request to cancel was made days before the charge.

i’ve been using your best body for a long time. when new management came around everything changed. the gym is filthy. blood on the court floors. trash, clothes, empty food boxes all over the stands. equipment upstairs thrown all over the place not organized. weights in the weight room not put back, weights left on bars and the floor. seeing this, i canceled my membership. i spoke with a woman over the phone who said the manger was not there (of course). she said that i could mail in a signature saying i want it canceled so i did. the reason being i’m working out of town and would have to make a trip to the gym just to cancel. so i mailed it in and the next month after i still got billed from ybb. i called and spoke to the manager surprisingly, and he said he never received my mail saying i want my memebershop canceled. as i see from other reviews i’m not the only person who’s dealt with being charged even after cancelling. it’s not worth your time or money you’re overpaying when kids come through the side doors at all times of the night. unbelievable.

I’ve updated my score based on ownership’s management of basketball facilities. I shouldn’t have to dodge 15 unattended children to get shots up.

Edit: Basketball can be open to all, but children need supervision. It is a shame management’s response is to not care and try to clap back at any negative feedback. I’ve been at YBB for 14 years and the last 3 it has taken a dive.

Every since Lisa left, this place has gone down hill. The new owner is horrible, his staff is horrible except one individual (don’t know his name). The sauna and steam rooms have been chained up like it’s a prison. Every piece of equipment isn’t readily accessible after staffing leaves ( like if we’re paying full price for the membership, we should have full access to everything ). The new owner is money hungry and doesn’t really care about the members like Lisa did. The family like atmosphere has really been sucked out of this place and the most of the good people have already left this place and more continue to follow suit. If you’re considering joining this gym I wouldn’t advise but if you do join, join at your own risk because you’ll be in for a horrible experience.

Place has gone down hill since new ownership. No one puts their weights/equipment back, which should be common sense but also courtesy especially since there are women and older persons who work out there. You can always expect 15 unattended kids climbing on equipment, leaving trash everywhere in the basketball court. Sauna hasn’t worked since new owner took over. Several people I know have changed gyms over the last year. You’ll be able to get your workout done but it’s like a sketchy hotel on a backroad at night while driving late, you just hope for better options.

I have been going to this gym for years and have always loved it. Under new management, however, the place has become disappointing. The place is dirty every time I come in: trash laying on the ground and in the parking lots, dirt on the machines, filth collecting behind the racks. Half the machines are damaged with a few not even working all together. Though they function, almost every treadmill has some issue with it. The new owner/manager just doesn’t seem to care. The side fence that leads to the track has no lock on it so people freely come in to the gym through the side entrance and use the facility. With no supervision (especially at night) the place gets swarmed with people who have no memberships and at times damage the equipment. I have seen young children past 10 pm playing on the equipment like toys. There needs to be better form of security and locking. What’s the point in overcharging your actual paying members for accidentally letting people in, if you’re just gonna let them come in by the hand fulls through the side? Makes me wonder why I even pay for a membership in the first place when everyone else seems to be getting in free. Will be canceling soon if things don’t change, I don’t want to since I really do love this gym. I hope this gets read by someone of authority here and things change. Just more cleaning and security would make a huge difference.

At first I loved coming to YBB! Their showers are great, always clean. There was a personal trainer who helped me work out when I was unsure of how to operate the calf raise machine. I really felt like YBB could be my forever gym.

There was a few weeks where the wifi was having issues. The gym plays good music but I prefer my own.

One of the reasons that I chose this gym over others was because YBB has a basketball court, racquetball court, batting cages, walking trail, pool table and cafe. The one thing I’m not fond of is that the hydro massage is out in the open not in a private room and there is only one chair. Not the biggest deal in the world but if you wanted to get that post workout relaxation you can do it under intense bright gym light where folks will walk past you in order to get to the basketball court. It kinda defeats the purpose of relaxation. Granted you’re only there for about 10 minutes.

In the midst of COVID, at first they were performing temperature checks and one of the staff members was wearing a mask. It’s always the same guy who actually does his job. Every time I am there, he always does the temperature checks, where’s and mask and sanitizes the machines. I haven’t seen anyone of the other staff members taking COVID seriously. We felt that if one staff member wasn’t performing proper procedures then how can I ensure my safety. We wore a mask when we went to the gym and I keep sanitizer in my car.

They must have been short staffed this one day that I went one day with my fiancé. They were out of sanitation wipes in both buckets (in the main area) I didn’t check the weight lifting area. They weren’t performing temperature checks on incoming customers. I cannot say how often they do temperature checks literally when that one male is working. At the time, my fiancé and I were staying with a kidney transplant recipient and an elderly woman. We took COVID seriously and we still continue to do so. We both have not had COVID. So we know that our practices have helped us.

I cannot tell you how many times people have seen me wearing a mask in public and have informed me that they don’t care about getting COVID. I never confronted folks about not wearing a mask. I wear a mask for my own reasons because I don’t want to potentially spread COVID to someone with a compromised immune system. I’ve already lost too many friends and family to COVID and I felt their deaths would have been prevented if everyone was following proper CDC guidelines and not what someone with no credible credentials says about COVID.

My fiancé and I often wanted to play basketball. There is a group there always playing basketball full court. Always males. We tried going at different times of day and night just to be able to play basketball. It’s my fiancé’s favorite way to get her cardio in. Sometimes we looked at the parking lot saw a whole bunch of cars in the parking lot but it was mostly the people using the basketball court. We kept the membership for the basketball court we were only able to use maybe 3-5 times in a 6 month period. I asked my fiancé if paying the monthly membership was worth paying for a basketball court we are always unable to use? The basketball court is what caused us to cancel the membership. If this happened to us, I wonder how many others have done the same. No matter what time of day I went to the gym, I would see no more than maybe 5 people working out. There will be like 10-15 people playing basketball.

I ended up cancelling my gym membership and working out from home and buying Steezy. I lost 52 lbs to date! I was paying for the family plan but for the same price, I could learn how to dance for a year anywhere I have a wifi connection. I also bought myself a yoga ball, mat, and boxing gloves.

Before we cancelled our membership, we were asked if there was anything they could do to convince us to stay. Yes, my reviews are long but they are thorough and honest. I hope the info that I provided helped someone out in some way or another.

The whole gym is filthy. The management is completely unavailable, the men in the weight room cuss and yell, there are children unattended running everywhere, broken equipment with no signage, nobody cleans up after themselves. The workers are constantly on their phones and not willing to work or help. The owner does absolutely nothing to better the place. Will not recommend. I have not walked in there once for the past few months and ever felt comfortable or welcomed. Extremely disgusting.

I canceled my membership in May and was told the draft would still come out in June which I completely understood. In July, the draft came out again. I called YBB and was told to wait 5 days for the money to go back into their account. After five days, I returned and was told that I needed to bring my bank statement to prove the draft was taken out. After questioning the reason for their request, I was told that was their policy. My response was if it happens that often that you need a policy, then obviously you have a problem. After several conversations and several visits, the issue is still not resolved. I have refused to show them my bank statements because a reputable business should have their own records verifying drafts that were taken out. I suspect that if they have a draft that was not honored, they would quickly have that information Several times I have been told the owner would call me. I am still waiting. If the establishment were having computer problems and it was going to be several business days before they could verify drafts, I would understand. At that point, mail the reimbursement or call for the reimbursement to be picked up. I am beyond bewildered at the lack of professionalism and mismanagement. This is only the second negative review I have ever written, but I felt compelled to do so in this situation. I have decided that they can keep the $31 because over time that amount will eventually cost them much more. Still waiting on that phone call from the new owner. Obviously, I will be waiting for a while.

I will more than likely give any person or place the benefit of the doubt in situations but with the rude customer service and lack of organization I refuse in this case. I canceled my membership over 2 months ago and was still charged for services I was no longer using. When I try to speak with someone about getting back the money they owe me, everyone is clueless. I've called multiple times and get told the manager only handles those situations but oddly enough the manager is never around. This happened once before when I had the family plan and took my husband off, I was still being charged for that plan even though I moved to a single plan. Never seen that money again.
As far as the gym goes it's always clean, and some associates are friendly. Equipment is in good shape, a good variety to do and also plenty of classes. Just the way its ran is questionable.

I've never written a review before but after my experience with these people I felt compelled to do so. I started my membership with Your Best Body earlier this year around summer time I believe, but I wasn't using it very often so I decided to cancel it. Over the next few months they continued to take money out of account. So I called them and explained what happened and I called me bank and told them to cancel any future transactions from them. At this point I thought it was all settled. 3 months or so go by with no withdrawals taken out of my account. Then a couple days ago I get a called asking if I was satisfied with my membership. I preceded to tell them that I had already canceled my membership. She then said that she would have a manager call me later that day to discuss it. I get no call. Then 2 days later money is taken out of my account again by Your Best Body. After 3 or so months of no transactions. So I call them and told them what happened and she said the manager had left for the weekend and will be back on monday, this is at 12 in the afternoon mind you, so I think it's ridiculous that there wasn't someone there to help me settle this. This has by far been the worst experience I've had with a company. I'm usually not one to complain but I felt like I needed to after this horrible customer service experience. And on top of that, the gym is not even that great. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I definitely will not be going back.

All in all great place to workout! Environment is clean, equipment is plentiful, and the staff goes out of there way to make sure you enjoy your fitness experience and even often offer to help you reach your goals. They even make you protein shakes (many flavors) if you decide to buy one. Beats having to wash the blender at home after every workout hahaha. I've always like how the punching bags are placed upstairs away from everyone so you don't feel like your disturbing anyone while hitting them. Overall great gym. I only wish it was closer to home
