I seriously love this gym! When I signed up online, the manager Nathan was super kind and made me feel really welcome right away. He connected me with their trainer Jace for personal training a few times a week, so I see them both pretty often—and they’re both amazing! Super friendly, approachable, and you can tell they genuinely care about the people who come in. Nathan’s always around and easy to talk to if you ever need anything, which I really appreciate. I really enjoy coming to the gym, and their supportive staff makes it a better experience! Highly recommend.

Very clean gym and nicely laid out with lots of room. Some of the equipment was a little older compared to my home gym and the selection of weight machines wasn't as good but still decent. Plus, the added cardio room was a nice bonus and 4 or 5 tvs throughout are convenient.

I have enjoyed the Silver Sneaker classes and the trainers -they are all wonderful!, experienced and committed toa fitness lifestyle. Management at this location is terrible. I went out due to back surgery and they kept my account active. After I had told them I was going out a week before. Yet they still charge me & I can’t get the charge off my account. The manager Ciara Lahr is absolutely no help just gets mad and upset with me. Just stay away from this Marion location.

UPDATE: Improving my review. The Kleenex is back, the mirrors are back up and an effort was made to modify the deadlift platform to accommodate most rack exercises improving the capacity of the gym. In addition the 30” sign blocking the entry has been removed. Its good to see a business acting upon reviews. If things continue to improve they will be back to five stars in short order.

I’ve been a member of this specific anytime for about 8 years I think. I’ve been through two locations, two sets of owners, and half a dozen managers. Used to be a five star gym, I had at one time referred so many people I had a year and change free of dues. That’s how much I loved this gym. Past year things have gone down hill. Three star rating for their Efforts to invest money in the gym, otherwise Id consider it a two star. Reasons: investments although appreciated are offering a poor return for members. Added a deadlift platform at the expense of a power rack(poor trade of space), removed mirrors over turf, ate up space for a trainers office which I don’t understand as they already have an office. The changes in visitor policy are terrible, used to be every Friday now it’s twice a year. They stopped supplying towels and Kleenex. Apparently people were stealing the Kleenex... the place is riddled cameras, would have made sense to simply put the Kleenex in view of a camera and then hold people accountable. Along this line the tone of the manager’s notices and memos is more akin to a scolding, exasperated mother than a manger or leader. One morning this week there was a giant sign taking up 60% of the entry way telling people to take off their shoes. Again Cameras everywhere, this should be addressed with offenders. Frequently they’ve started stocking junk food by the office. Box of cookies at the gym? One good investment that was overdue was a new tanning bed. Unfortunately after they added it I was accused of not paying the dues for tanning for the past 8 years. After a return call from me they did clear that up. I travel for work, so i utilize the nationwide access. If your local I’d consider a different gym. If you travel and use this one the minority of time it’s probably okay.

I think this is the better A.F in Sioux Falls. I travel a lot for work and get to see the way a lot of AFs are set up. I like that there is an abundance of equipment and opportunity at this facility. I was there the other night and there were decent amount of people with a variety of strengths and we all seemed to share well and give space. I even saw someone let another member work out into the gaps in their sets. Sharing equipment is not something you see everyday. Good job to AF for setting up this kind of environment.

They make it impossible to cancel memberships. I've heard from multiple people that they had the same experience as us. You tell them not to renew, but somehow they keep withdrawing the fee every month. Then have to spend hours making calls, filling out paper work, stopping in to get refunds and cancelation confirmation. Not worth the hassle.

I have been to both Anytime Fitness locations in Sioux Falls in an attempt to sign up for a membership, I don't know how they stay in business, because I have YET to find a staff member who is actually there during their "staffed" hours. I contacted them when I came and the sign said someone would not be there for the next 3 hours and expressed my outrage. They invited me to come in and meet with a manager to "make things right." I tried that location TWICE for said meeting, and guess what? There were never any staff there! Mind you, this is in the middle of their POSTED "staffed" hours.

So I decided to try this location, and wouldn't you know... there was no staff there. I am convinced that the staff at both locations are imaginary. If you have a contract you can't get out of, you could probably sell it on the black market to people who are trying to get a membership but can't because no staff will sign them up!

Ridiculous. Especially in a market like Sioux Falls where there are plenty of other options, they should be very cognizant of the customer service they provide.

I'm a runner, training for my first marathon. So during the winter I need a treadmill for my 8-20 mile runs, or just an eliptical for 1.5 hours but I always feel rushed. I didn't see a mat to stretch on or sweat towels. It really is a box of a gym, very basic, 2 single person bathrooms, 2 tanning beds, the manager will try and say it's a good price ($30-39 depending on the deal), but compared to another gym it's 3x the price for a cramped, somewhat hot (dripping in my dri-fit brooks shirt after an hour), without a proper locker room. Meh.
