Not open on Saturday and Sunday! Not open until 11 AM during the week! That is not what this type of fitness center advertises. We have used Anytime fitness all across the United States and Canada and have never found one that wasn’t open 24 hours a day. Very disappointing.

This gym is a joke. Got a membership here opposed to the Sturgis rec center, because it included tanning. But good luck with tanning. Either the bed is nasty dirty or just doesn’t work, or in my case this morning, it wouldn’t scan my pass. Of course no one here to talk to or ask to fix it. I woke this morning thinking, hey, maybe I’ll put tanning lotion on for no reason today! Ha! They did finally put a fan in there. So I guess that’s a plus. The bathroom and showers are also lacking. You’d think someone would have some pride in their business and make sure its equipment is functional and clean. That’s not too much to ask. I won’t be back to this gym. I’ll go the extra 10 minutes the other direction to Planet Fitness in Rapid.
** Btw - I didn’t just write a bad review off the bat - management was already informed before. I just thought I would give them a second chance today. There won’t be a third.

Edit. Since I can’t respond to the response, we were put under my husband’s name. We’re full time rvers and just got a 3 month membership. We were very impressed in the anytime fitness in cody wy, but obviously, they are not all as nice as some others.

Every handle and bar I touched was sticky and grimy. All the benches had sweat stains, they're not wiped down often. Cubbies were covered in dirt, creatine(?) And stains. Place was real nasty. All of the equipment was super awkward too, at least in comparison to my home gym.

Love that the gym is down the road and 24/7 access but for the money that I pay a month… this place is dirty! Seems like every other machine is broken somehow; tanning bed looks horrendous let’s not mention the bathrooms.

24/7 is great. Wish it was clean. Eight year member and dirtier every year. Someone cleaned the bathroom sink finally, after a couple of years. Ceiling fans are filthy. Storage cubbies are dirty. Frustrating.

Horrible customer service. I’ve been calling for months to try to cancel with no calls back. I reached out via the website, nothing. The hours with staff make it difficult for me to make it in person to cancel. Not a good experience.

Do not join for $1 and sign a contract! This business is highway robbery. Please do business with other gyms in Spearfish area, which are much more friendlier and more understanding with situations that happen in life. If I could leave a negative star I would!!!

Barely went but my wife and I had gotten memberships and this is what happened. We were behind on bills at the time. We were getting out of our situation and then it started...... our bank account was overdrawn. A couple hundred dollars. We went I to the bank k to fi d out what was going on. The bank told us that anytime fitness was trying to take out the money owed. That was fine until we were shown that they did not only try that they also several times a day tried to take out different amounts. 28 dollars, 20,17 ect. Each time they did that it costs my wife and I 35 dollars. We now owe the bank several hundred dollars. And they froze our account. Be careful... lol posting with my wife's account lmao

The main things I look for in a gym are basic cardio & weight lifting equipment to work on compound & exhaustion work outs, and 24/7 access. My schedule will flip and flop from traditional to grave yard so working out at 1 or 2 am is a must for me. This gym is able to provide that on top of maintaining a clean gym with clean facilities. I'm not sure about all the negs, but this place has a nice gym family vibe to it and the operator seems to strive to provide a good gym experience during staff hours. No problems at all I even had the opportunity of playing gym jenga for the first time 😂🔥

I have nothing against the gym itself, it was always clean. The woman who is the manager there is terrible! She is very pushy and rude! She never answers the phone and then says, well, I didn't have any missed calls or messages. You can definitely tell she's in it for the money she makes off of new memberships.

I worked out here while staying in Deadwood. The gym was really clean. I’ve worked out at quite a few Anytime Fitness gyms but this one had the best layout and the most equipment of any of them. The owner seems to know what a gym should have. During my time there the owner was out of town but a really nice guy named Trey was holding down the fort. He got me all setup to train and let me get after it.
I am thankful this high quality gym is here. It is worth the fee if you are visiting town. If you are local then it’s a no brainer to join.

We visited spearfish for the Black Hills National wrestling tournament. We went in to check Anytime Fitness out due to weigh in certification. The staff was AMAZING EXTREMELY HELPFUL. Also very informative on Inbody testing so we knew that our son was hydrated enough etc We really appreciated how kind and helpful everyone was. Thank you again our Son Scotty took 5 place.

Never answer the phone, you sign up for a year membership but they continue to take money even after that year membership is up. You can’t cancel your membership over the phone you have to take time off work to make it in there so you can maybe catch someone there to cancel and 90% of the time they aren’t there. Very poor ran gym I highly recommend any other gym in spearfish over this place. I never write reviews but they deserve this one.

The entire staff at Anytime Fitness in Spearfish is phenomenal. Sarah, Hannah & Austin are always so friendly, welcoming and fun to be around.

Hannah is a marvelous personal trainer; I’m so grateful to her for helping me become a stronger, more thriving version of myself over the last three months.

The gym has a superb selection of equipment, and is always kept clean (they provide plenty of cleaning wipes and all the members seem to do their part to wipe down whatever equipment they’ve utilized). There is always music playing in the gym, ranging from classics jams to new tunes, and spanning an array of genres so there is likely something to satisfy nearly everyone’s musical preferences.

I’m very grateful to be a member of Anytime Fitness and would encourage anyone seeking a new gym home in the Spearfish area to come check this place out.

Small gym. Great for average gym goers who don't use alot of freeweights. Was very clean. No locker rooms. Individual unisex baths instead. They were clean and well kept. Overall had a good experience. Would recommend when passing through the area.

All the basic equipment but way off in addressing covid19. Instead of closing showers which can lead to a bacteria pool and some people go to work after the gym. They can do a mask mandate and add a disinfectant spray in the shower room, far more effective

Awesome Gym! Definitely the best place to work out in Spearfish and the surrounding area. Super clean with a good variety of equipment. The club manager greets everyone by name, and the trainers are great at helping you get the most of your workouts!
