The only gym in town that feels like it’s meant for growth, connection, and exercise. Recently went to a crunch in a different state and it was terrible, made me truly appreciate the great staff and community we have at this crunch!

⚠️ WARNING to anyone considering this gym: Crunch Fitness Sioux Falls will NOT tell you upfront that signing up locks you into three separate charges you won’t learn about until it’s too late.
When you enroll, they rush you through the process and make it seem like you’re just paying for the month you want. What they don’t tell you is:

Your first month

A full extra month when you cancel (30-day notice)

An annual gym fee

By the time you realize it, they blame you for “not knowing,” even though the staff never explains any of this during sign-up.

And that’s only the beginning.

My family canceled a membership in person, exactly as instructed, and were told we would be charged one final month, which we accepted. Instead, the cancellation was never submitted correctly, and Crunch charged another month anyway.

When I went in to fix THEIR mistake, the front desk employee spoke down to me (“Not sure, bud”) and tried to shift blame. The Director of Personal Training contradicted himself multiple times (all recorded), denied statements he made minutes earlier, and even brought up his personal faith while trying to justify how he handled the situation—which was completely unprofessional. He also tried to push through a new cancellation that would've forced yet another charge.

Multiple employees admitted they didn’t know basic policies, didn’t understand how other departments worked, and didn’t even know their own General Manager’s schedule. Every person gave different information.

The most shocking part? The General Manager later made a false accusation that I made her female staff uncomfortable—an accusation completely disproven by recorded conversations where I remained calm and respectful. This felt retaliatory, especially after we repeatedly requested written confirmation they kept avoiding.

To be clear, this review is NOT about the money. This is about a business:

that withholds key billing information during sign-up

that misinforms customers and contradicts itself constantly

that fails to take responsibility for staff mistakes

that retaliates when customers push for accountability

No one should have to record conversations just to get straight answers.
There are plenty of gyms in Sioux Falls—choose one that treats people honestly and professionally.

I’m very disappointed with the Child Care here. Each time I dropped off my 1-year-old, the staff sat on their phones or read instead of interacting with the kids. They didn’t help with the hand-off, barely responded when he cried, and at one point even acted like his crying was funny. It consistently felt like my child and even I were a nuisance to them.
I reached out to a few staff members and asked for a manager to contact me, but no one followed up. I no longer feel my child is safe or cared for, and I will be cancelling my membership.

First timer, but so far I absolutely love it, I did stop at the front desk since it was my first visit and made eye contact with both of the workers behind the desk and they continued to ignore me. I made eye contact twice with a worker on the floor, and he came up to help me, but other than that, a good experience.

My girlfriend and I recently moved from Maryland to Sioux Falls.Since we within 15 minutes of 4 L.A Fitness gyms there,..we thought (at best)we could find an ok gym in this area.We couldnt believe how amazing this gym is.It has everything we could have hoped for,..and more. The price we pay is very fair,..and the staff have all been very polite and proffesional.

Constantly hassled by employees either by phone or in gym. Not the place for introverts trying to better themselves. Could not recommend less. Requested every time to not be contacted, but it was ignored, and so I cancelled.

I do like the gym that I go to but this is stupidity when the only water fountain is broken and I ask how can get some water and I am told that I can buy a bottle for $2. They need more fountains it is just a basic thing when you go to the gym.

Could be the best gym in the state, BUT lack of maintenance makes it not that.
East wall has been under construction for years. Since first months, there's open drywall and visible instalation thats not healthy to breathe in. How long until this gets fixed???
Mens locker sauna is always down. Takes days to get back and running.
There's only 1 fountain for water that goes down often. So you could be coming to workout without water.
Maintenance is very important but there's none here. Im loosing hope that anything will improve. Also its a huge gym, huge space that needs to get cleaned often.
I will stay positive and hope management will fix these problems. So close to being the best gym...

Gym is nasty and locker rooms are disgusting. Sauna almost always down. They make woman clean the mens locker room. Make you come in person to cancel even though I told them 8 months ago I didn’t want to renew membership and they never mentioned I had to come in to cancel. Would not recommend. It’s the worst gym in town by a mile.

I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at Crunch Fitness. I went in to cancel my membership after being charged just 2 days prior. I was told there is a 30-day notice required to cancel, which means I’ll be billed again for October even though I will no longer be using the gym.

This policy was never made clear to me when I signed up, and I don’t have a contract stating these terms. It feels unfair to be charged for another full month after already deciding to cancel. Transparency with cancellation policies is very important, and unfortunately, my experience left me feeling misled and dissatisfied.

recently visited Crunch and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the front desk staff. Upon arriving, my friend and I (both members) approached the desk to check in. The staff member on duty, Samantha, completely ignored us. Instead, she immediately assisted another woman who came from the other side, leaving us standing there without acknowledgment. We decided to continue with our workout regardless, but the lack of professionalism was hard to overlook. At the end of the night, I approached the desk to request a tan and also mentioned that we had never been checked in. Samantha’s response and overall attitude made it clear that she was disengaged and uninterested in providing any customer service. What made the situation worse was her inconsistency and attitude regarding tanning. She asked me for eyewear and then denied me entry when I didn’t have it. I completely understand safety requirements, but just days before, I saw multiple people go into tanning beds without ever being asked for eyewear. It felt like she was targeting me and using her position to deny me access unfairly. On top of that, when she “apologized “she smirked and laughed in a way that was dismissive and insincere. As paying members, we expect to be treated with respect and consistency. Being ignored, singled out, and mocked is unacceptable, and it reflects very poorly on the Crunch brand. If an employee is unable or unwilling to provide basic customer service (pregnancy) especially during late night shifts, it may be best for them to take time off until they are ready and able to focus fully on their role. Tbh That’s probably like the worst customer service I’ve ever had in a long time

Awesome amenities I guess but very unprofessional staff. I just got a membership for the summer and canceled it at the end of it and they still charging me for it and when I gave them a call about the billing they just said nothing they can do about it and when asked to talk to the manager they said he wouldn’t be able to help either. Samantha was very unprofessional over the phone saying I could just pay for what I’m being charged and she couldn’t do anything when that is literally their job

A lot of hidden fees and price increases they don't warn you about. They charge an annual fee and require 30 day cancelation notice or they'll charge you an additional month. Locker rooms aren't very clean and the shower pressure changes when the toilets flush. But it's relatively cheep, they have turf, lots of equipment, and the staff is really friendly. If you don't want to spend much on a gym, they are a reasonable option.

Please update your hours so you don’t waste peoples time driving out to your gym. I dont know if your employees just decide to close early or if it’s legit. (It says you close at 12am on fridays) and on 08/01 you guys decide to close at 11. I asked your employees if you guys can at least change it online to help your members out and they said “sorry there’s nothing we can do” I said your manager can’t even update it? And they said “no”, it’s 2025 I would hope a business this large could figure out google lol. Also your door says 24 hours on fridays, not 23 hours so you might want to look into getting that changed as well, and just to be sure this wasn’t some one off thing closing early I asked the gym employees if this was every Friday and they said yes.

After 3 months they will charge you $58 on top of your regular payment. Even if the promo said they wouldn't. Make sure you read the fine print. They also require a 30 day cancellation notice. Basically a money pit.

The massage chairs are a gimmick. They only give you 10 minutes each time. Which is enough to start getting you relaxed. Then it's over, you have to walk back up to the front desk and ask for another session. At which point they will send you to a different chair that is cold(even if no one is using the one you just left. These chairs work best when the water is hot). By the 3rd time you would've been better off skipping the top level membership and just putting the money into a massage chair at the mall. On the flip side they are forcing you to get more steps in.

I had an excellent experience with one of the front desk workers! I had an appointment set up with a trainer, and I was personally on the edge of attending or cancelling. I cancelled because I’m in no position to affording a personal trainer atm. Kaleb was able to cancel it for me while simultaneously taking care of other members stepping forward. His associate had been sitting at the table, and did not seem to happy about having to stand up and walk over for one member.
In terms of overall gym equipment, staff, and services this gym is an excellent competitor compared to the rest of Sioux Falls.

Being a member for 5 months I have nothing but good things to say about this fitness gym. They have a variety of machines, the personal trainers and staff are friendly, there is ALWAYS a worker there cleaning the bathroom or the gym area. I’ve read most of the reviews and I don’t understand why people are so confused about the extra fees, cancellation of memberships etc etc , it is all right there in the membership agreement that they all signed!! Maybe they should read the agreement before throwing accusations out!! Keep up the good work Crunch !!

The gym by itself is great and it's a great value for your money. Great equipment, great machines, great weights, always clean, and well ventilated. The bathrooms can be messy sometimes. But I don't know where they get these sassy Gen Z brats from at the front desk. Most of them are awfully disrespectful, frowned up, and gas light a lot.

When my husband and I signed up, we knew moving was a possibility for us, and when we signed up we were told we could cancel anytime. Cancellation process is not easy, and my attempts at correspondence to find out my steps to get our memberships cancelled went ignored until after they charged us another set of annual fees totaling about $130. They finally confirmed they have our memberships cancelled, but didn’t refund the renewal fees (which we understood wouldn’t be a possibility anyhow bc they “don’t auto-renew”) , they didn’t acknowledge any error on their end. No compassion. No apology. Nothing.

Lesson learned - READ THE FINE PRINT & don’t believe anything the employees tell you.

I signed up at this gym last July with the understanding my membership would transfer to my home location in Texas, which would be my home location. This was evidently not the case because the membership never transferred. The staff and management was incredibly unhelpful, so unable to access my full member benefits, I chose to cancel. THEY DO NOT LET YOU CANCEL. I have been trying to cancel this membership since OCTOBER OF LAST YEAR. Between disputing with credit card companies, constant badgering of my phone and email, and the fact that I feel incredibly lied to by the staff at both this location and the out of state one regarding my membership status and benefits, I would NEVER recommend this gym to my worst enemy. I recommend fitness connection, 24/hour fitness, or literally anywhere that is not this tangerine of a gym. I feel like at this point this gym has turned into a stalker I cannot get rid of. DO NOT GO HERE.

Over and over you’ll find yourself waiting and waiting for a younger person who’s just sitting at an exercise machine texting or doing who knows what on their phones, for Literally for over 20 minutes sometimes I am not paying to watch people on their phones!! Then most of the time will get off the machine without even using it again and don’t even have the courtesy to clean the machine The FLU is very high this year people are dying. One of the main reasons I joined Crunch is because I was told the machines were required to be cleaned after each use, just a selling point I guess. Because today the Manager on duty told me there’s no requirement that machines have to be cleaned after customer use. 2-24-25 12:50pm . You’d also think that Crush would keep toilet paper in their bathrooms Especially after you informed the staff that stalls were out right? When there’s at least three people standing there in front most of the time. Or the manager herself, should have done it Was well over an hour from letting them know and still no TP
I am Going to read through my contract with Crunch pretty sure won’t find that as a member I am required to wipe down equipment after each use was probably just a verbal selling point but if found I will be getting my annual fee credited back to me along with my February 18, payment I had to give my 30 day notice today even though your told “YOUR FREE TO QUIT AT ANY TIME” another Lie
My advice don’t believe equipment is cleaned.. Nor believe the sales pitch you won't be charged AN ANNUAL FEE for your membership You will be along with your monthly required payments and I would not pay for the classes WHAT CLASSES??

Took a year after my inquiry for a personal trainer to reach out to me. Was unable to use the membership 6 months into it and was unable to cancel despite attempting to in person. Waited it out for the year because I was told I was committed until my second annual fee was due or I’d have to pay the monthly and annual fee in full before then. When I went back, I was told I was again unable to cancel despite paying for the additional months I was unable to cancel the membership. I was told I would have to wait another year for an annual fee to come out, even the front desk guy was unsure on the gym’s policy. Then I was called and texted at 2 am from the front desk guy’s personal phone number to tell me he had made a mistake and that he couldn’t cancel it but would tell management the next day to cancel. The cancellation process is so frustrating, the business transparency and responses are unprofessional, and waiting a full year to respond to inquiries is not conducive to my personal fitness journey or their business. Would not return.

Only been a member a month and seen my fair share of observations. I've Being a instrumental part of billion dollar companies, so I can say this review very accurately about what I've seen in a short time. I see many reviews where the owner or manager don't respond to the housekeeping issues, that seem to be abundant in the last few months.

Machines & equipment: nice selection and typically can jump around when you have a occasional camper on a machine. Some machines need recovering. The videographers, who think they have muscle or tone need to go to a private gym. Don't hold up machines that others need to use so you can get a better angle or playing Mario kart for 30 min on leg sled press.

Staff & management: I've seen guests try to interact with staff to be blown off. Not the greatest customer service compared to comparable gyms such as planet fitness or lifetime. At peak hrs the facility feels understaffed. I been coming nearly everyday for two weeks and the men's locker room is a Germ infestation. The same pile of debris has been swept in the same corner vs picking it up. One toilet has been out of commission for awhile and either there is some gross people in SF or lack of cleaning but the toilets are ready to give you hepatitis A, E. coli, Salmonella, and shigella. Trash all over floor, mirrors half ass cleaned.

One staff member on the floor walked right passed a full container of paper towels vs stopping and taking trash out. Having lazy employees of my own, id assume they would say that's not my job unless told to do so but this is a management ordeal to train staff.

The parking lot is a slip and fall hazard in winter months. Parking is a zoo cause you can't see the lines. Snow removal should be part of a budget, so members are not tracking crap into the facility. If the parking and building is rented I'd be all over who I pay my money to.

To conclude on staff and management I would say this facility is poorly managed, and could be improved with simple things. First listen to your members as many reviews are listed pretty close to same complaints.

I drive 35 min to use this facility and cleanliness should be a priority to avoid spreading funky stuff, since not every wipes down equipment after use.

As a member for 15 months I found it better than planet fitness. What they dont tell you though is after 12 months they will secretly raise the rate of your monthly plan. While they are not afraid to text you advertising to try to bring people to the gym, they will not text you to I form you of the upcoming $60 yearly fee that you must pay on top of your base monthly pay that starts at $9.99. then after one year they will increase it without notice to $15.99. I loved this place but this is a scummy business practice and I have since cancelled immediately upon finding this. Will not be coming back.

I went in there last night to cancel my membership and the staff weren’t friendly or eager to help. Before cancelling my membership, they made me pay for this month. Then they charged me an additional $10 late fee and a $5 service fee. So I had to pay $47 just to cancel my membership. Then the worker informed me that I’ll also be charged for next month as well. After reading some of the other reviews, it seems others have a similar struggle with the finances. This gym definitely cares more about taking money than keeping their clientele. The owners responses to these reviews also seems to prioritize being passive aggressive instead of solving problems.

EDIT- happened again despite owners comments. Clearly no intention to stop.

**Staff instructed to turn all of the lights off prior to close as a way to “get people out”?**

I’m not sure about the rest of anyone going to a gym here in South Dakota, but I’m fairly certain the liability waiver doesn’t cover gross negligence from the staff deliberately flashing all of the lights on and off, and then leaving them off completely while people are in the middle of their workouts- prior to close.

Honestly its really not a bad place, but like alot of other reviews here- the staff are literally the worst part, honestly would have given a good rating based on what they provide here outside of that. (I happen to like the place but this was something i think the team at Crunch and other people should know about).

Today, while in the middle my last set, someone turned the lights of- once at 8:46 and again at 8:54, when we were cleaning up and putting weights away.

I wasn’t sure who it was initially, and actually thought the power went out for a moment, but this caused someone else to either drop their weights while re-racking them, or run into something as noticiable by the loud thud and someone yelling either frustrated, out of anger- or seriously injured.

In any case, someone else (clearly upset but not the other person that was injured) was asking the young woman up front who shut the lights off (it was her) and why they would do such an absurd thing. They also stated that someone else (sounded like a few) got hurt because of it. I can tell you that person at the front does not belong in the service industry, because she just continued to try and provoke the situation. (This is while the lights were still off, and I mean all of them, you could not see anything what so ever except at the front.

Her excuse was a very rude, unprofessional, self righteous and agressive, “I Dont care, get hell out so I can go home”, with a very much more offensive and rather “toxic malicious ex-girlfriend” vibe- like she was doing it specifically towards a single person there who she really didn't like and just wanted to inconvenience them in the slightest way.

Im serious, It totally sounded like just some stupid spiteful combative way of taking out her own frustrations on that customer- and this is me speaking about a simple observation. I wasn't involved, nor did I stop to watch very much of how that ended, but from my walk through the dark and hearing that on the way out- I really don't want anything to do with her. Im sure Crunch would do much better without her. Regardless of if someone told her to shut the lights off or not- you could tell by the way she did it- she wanted to, and she just wanted to argue with someone about it too.

On another note- the other guy working with the shorter white hair was really nice. This place needs more friendly people like him.

Other than what I just described its honestly not a bad place, good setup, etc, about 50% of the staff are decently friendly.

Would recommend either adjusting the hours or stating that doors close at 8:30 but “lights out” at whatever time they want because you cant really be “open” if your lights are off.

Or just charging an extra few bucks for a night pass. Id pay an extra 5$ to stay till 10:00 on a Sunday 💪

Turning ALL of the lights off at a gym is just not the way to go. Hopefully someone with a decent level of authority here can see this and make a change.

Personally I think an air horn would be kind of fun for an alternative 🥳

Maybe turning the really loud music off so people actually listen when you say something on an intercom, it was unusually loud today, I had my airpods with noise cancelation completely maxed out and I still could barely hear my own music over the ambient music.

A combination of turning the music off before announcing the gym is closing and people need to leave, and using some kind of a buzzer would be good.

Or even only use one section of lights? Like one small section that would not put the entire floor in complete darkness in an instant.

Not a fan of this club! I was hoping Crunch Fitness to be like a Lifetime fitness but it doesn’t compare! Uncleanly, limited choices for aerobic classes, no privacy in the locker room, no pool or hot tub, bring your own towel & lock for locker room. Parking lot needs to be redone. Just not a place that would inspire you. Cancelled my membership.

The facilities are immaculate, equipped with a large inventory of the latest fitness machines. Top notch Training, Group Classes, an App that keeps members up to date with personal goals, location events, class schedules, as well as virtual classes.

The management here in Sioux Falls is phenomenal. In particular, Akwa Ambali, the Assistant General Manager, went above and beyond resolving a customer service issue.

The quality of offered amenities, for the affordable monthly and annual membership fee, is second to none in the area. I highly recommend Crunch Fitness in Sioux Falls to anyone looking for a cost value gym membership.

I’m always traveling for work and have been to countless gyms across the country. This crunch fitness is up at the top of that list, they have the best equipment and multiples of the most popular. Crunch Fitness - Sioux Falls

If you're looking for a gym that brings the energy, Crunch Fitness in Sioux Falls is where it’s at. The vibe here is next-level, and the bro scene is solid—tons of motivation from like-minded guys pushing each other to hit their goals. It’s all about that positive energy, and the gym culture here thrives on it.

And let's be real: there’s no shortage of motivation with the booty babes hitting the workouts hard. Everyone here is committed to their fitness journey, and the atmosphere is nothing short of inspiring. IGNORE ANDY 1 STAR REVIEW, see below. AWESOME NEW equipment I have not seen that meets my needs (abbs and booty). Amazing HOT YOGA instructor class that provides more challenging move options for advanced yoga people while giving alternatives for less challenging ways to do moves. Really pushes me to have a good workout.
-Prefer to have new zumba instructor with better music (hip hop and not mama mia/drama class music).
-Have daycare, great friendly staff
-GREAT PRICE
-convenient location
-good outside companies that come
-Sauna, showers, nice big locker room and available smaller lockers with codes outside of locker room.

Large gym, I would rate it a 0 and give a bad review so I can keep the gym to myself and prevent crowding... but 5/5 stars!

ANDY review: I have seldom see treadmill / machines down. THERE IS SO MANY AVAILABLE, it is a non-issue. No issues with the clocks. Not a low income area as it is in the city mall parking lot. Yes the leaked roof, not a biggie as it was newly remodeled and roof issues were unapparent until heavy rain showed this. Monitor your tone andy and be respectful.

Seeing Nicole, Akwa, Matt and Norah is honestly the best part of my day. Other than my home this is the only place I feel safe and cared for - coming from someone with my condition that means whole lot. I've been to other Crunch Fitness gyms and while they are nice no place compares to Sioux Falls. If I could give Nicole and her team more than 5 stars I would. Some of the reviews on here are getting silly
my credentials:
African American
former employee
now a current member
Nicole was the best boss I have ever had she wouldn’t only go above and beyond herself but she gave us the correct leadership and motivation to do it ourselves… the racist comment thing is an absolute lie. She herself goes out of her way to make everyone feel welcomed. Being that crunch is a “no judgement no limits” organization, they literally couldn’t have hired a better GM for the gym. and the facility is ran amazing! Not only do we do hourly checks we have zones, cleaning list, and must update with photos so staff can’t lie. And that’s just the people up front. They also have janitors who are in the gym during the day cleaning on top of it.
Crunch is an amazing gym don’t read the silly comments and believe everything that’s said. Shoot even if you don’t believe mine go check it out for yourself!

I’ve had a bit of run in with rude employees which I understand people have their bad days, although for the older blonde lady was completely rude. I had 2 friends come in and I had the $35 a month members, of course I tried to sign them in as guest (I should’ve asked more questions because you can only have one). In response she told me that I can only have one guest, I tried to sign my buddy up but she was more fixed on the minor (his little brother). I understand there is an agreement for parents although i was trying to shift the attention towards the older one, as we’re trying to tell her information that she’s asking for she proceeds to roll her eyes towards. I’m
Telling myself maybe she’s having a bad day so we continue then she rudely asked for his brother to take his helmet off and yelled to speak up louder. We ended up basically leaving and I plan on canceling my membership, there is no need to be rude to people who don’t understand the terms of agreement. Let alone even when people are planning on signing up it’s expected to be nice and thoughtful, not rude and complain overall. So if you plan on going to a gym where it’s nice and friendly crunch isn’t the place let alone for patience and understanding.

I have watched this gym open in the fall and evolve and it's become an addiction! And I really didn't want to like it in the beginning.

I have attended all of the fitness classes that Crunch has to offer. I have watched the fitness programming blossom under Lizzie, as she hired amazing, passionate fitness class instructors.

I highly recommend Ashley's hot yoga sculpt. She always goes above and beyond in her classes, even offering cold towels after the intense workout in the hot studio. She offers 2-3 modification for each exercise making it doable for all preferences and abilities of her clients. She listens to her regulars and it's clear it's not just a job to her. Also, Valerie does a tremendous job challenging her clients and really teaching form and is super fun and personable. If you're into Zumba, Danielle slays it.

For the price of membership, especially with tanning and daycare and unlimited fitness classes. CRUNCH FITNESS IS UNBEATABLE.

Again, I really didn't want to like it as I was partial to my gym. But the community is warm and welcoming for people of all fitness levels. I recommend to all. Thanks and congratulations Crunch!

I’m convinced most of the poor reviews aren’t familiar with gym chains like crunch and can’t read their contracts in full. I’ve had a great experience at Crunch. True there isn’t as many amenities as there are at higher end gyms, but at this price point, I wouldn’t expect things like towel service. There’s a great amount of machines and weight areas. I’ve never had an issue getting the workout done that I want. The class selection is great, and having Ride classes included at only $30 a month can’t be beat. There are annual fees, but it’s clearly listed when you sign up. Their contracts are just like any other major gym in town. I’m very happy with my experience at Crunch so far.

It’s a nice and open gym but the fact that they can peer pressure a MINOR into paying $1000-2000 for the first “3 month agreement” of a trainer program, WITHOUT a legal parent or older sibling around to look over things. This should be, and IS illegal to do, and is just very disgusting. Other gyms were more strict about minors signing and being within their gym, it seemed like this one just allowed anything for some extra cash. Very disappointed, but if you do decide to go here, just sign up for the bare minimum and ignore them.

UPDATE: THEY CHARGED ME AGAIN AFTER A PERSON CALLED ME SAYING IT WAS CANCELLED. I GUESS STEALING FROM MINORS IS FUN FOR THEM!

Worst gym I've ever been too. Staff are rude and have attitude. I don't even want to ask the staff anything because the girl i did try to bring a question to just have me an up down and just acted annoyed. 1 of each equipment that I do use and a million of the ones I don't so the ones I do want are always taken. Tiny locker room that's really cramped. The colors are LOUD. So if that matteres to you. Was a cool gym to go to, however when I canceled because I was moving 12 hours away. Not only did they not cancel my
Membership and continue to try and charge me month/month. But when I call in to say “hey I’ve moved and canceled before I left” the response I got back was “well you owe this, and if it’s not paid well send it to collections and you can deal with that” paired with “you should have read the terms and conditions of the contract. In there it has our 60 day annual policy that’s $50.” Which was never told to me when I signed up.

Figured the month to month billing would be a good option considering I was moving. Not only did I not think they’d charge me after I canceled but now I supposedly owe $91, and the staff member said they wouldn’t do anything but send it to collections. You guys suck

Update: Have called in 4 times over the last week. Workers are still refusing to let me just cancel the membership like I tried to on 2/21. And are now saying I owe $145, and they’ll knock off my late fee. Yet they still haven’t cancelled my membership, and on the day I tried to cancel i would have owed $53.24 now to do “their best” want me to pay $145 because THEY STILL HAVENT CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT. “Well we can waive your late fee and you can pay $100”. Tell me why the hell I would pay $50 more than what I would owe. Sorry you company is negligent

Both Gm and “Owner” have not responded to emails I have sent over the last week, boom another $20. Almost laughable how dumb this process is

I came in with my friend Sunday morning (Easter) and I was so impressed with the lady working the front desk. (I believe her name was Kayla). She had a warm enthusiastic welcome for us when we walked in the door, checked my friend in, got me all set up as a guest and just had an amazing attitude the whole time. While there, I noticed if she was not actively answering the phone or checking someone in she was making sure everyone that walked in or out of that front door were acknowledged with a “Good Morning” or a “have a good day”. When we got done and went to leave she made sure to tell us thank you and wished us a Happy Easter. That right there is an employee who cares about her job. I sure hope she sticks around because that is definitely someone that you as a company should want around for a long time. If members could nominate employees for employee of the month she would be my vote.

I got charged a $50 fee for canceling my membership. I wasn’t using my membership and I thought to cancel it to stop getting charged on my card, and I find this ridiculous, they don’t clearly state this in their terms of conditions. And they add that it’s for “equipment upkeep, facility maintenance and periodic upgrades at our locations” and $50 for that is ridiculous, I wouldn’t have a problem if it were $10-$15 dollar fee but $50 is just a stupid amount for a cancellation fee”

After meeting with the trainers, I wholeheartedly believe that their primary concern is helping people get fit as safely as possible. The facility itself is solid and has enough space that they still have quieter hours.

However, I was literally charged a late fee, in addition to other fees, on my /first/ day. When I raised a concern about this, they instantly resorted to the "we have you in a contract now, so go away" tactics that gyms have a bad reputation for.

I recommend avoiding because of dirty billing practices and unhelpful staff, but it seems like a nice place outside of that.

[edit] After being prompted to contact Fitness Ventures in order to discuss my claims of scammy practices, my concerns were forwarded to Crunch Fitness.

[edit-2] I never got that call back, but persistence paid off and I finally talked to someone that said they were able to resolve the issue. Fingers crossed ... this should now be one of those non-member reviews. :)

[edit-3] It turned out nothing was resolved and they've just been letting my (supposedly non-existent) account accrue late fees before sending it off to collections. Fortunately, I kept all of the confirmation that my account was closed and current, so I'll just have to share paperwork with the collections agency before the mistake of considering Crunch Fitness is fully resolved.

I started CRUNCH fitness a few weeks after I had ACL/Menicus surgery. I was still in a full locked leg brace and got around on a scooter. I knew I needed to be doing something even with my lower extremity limitations. Our location here in Sioux Falls had just recently opened and I knew that it would be a great opportunity to work with a Personal Trainer and continue on my fitness journey. I found out one of my old coaches was at CRUNCH and to my delight he had room on his calendar to get me going. Enough cannot be said enough how much Stephen Javier has done for me since December 4, 2023. He has been so patient, so kind, also knows when to push me to that next level. Stephen worked in tandum with what I was doing at physical therapy and we worked hard. I am 17 weeks post op and I have not been in this good of shape in a very long time. I absolutely love having a personal trainer. There is just something about that relationship that it’s a friendship, it’s the highlight of my day. I would recommend to everyone I know to give Personal Training a try. It might not be for everyone, but you never know until you try. Stephen has helped me crush a lot of milestones since Dec. 4th.

This business is approaching minor girls to sign up for accounts without parental consent or parents present. Not only that, but they have been drawing membership funds from our account which my daughter gave them, WITHOUT an ACH authorization signed by an account holder. They are using predatory tactics not only to up their membership numbers, but also to get young children in their building without parents present. Stay far away from any business that thinks this type of behavior is appropriate on ANY level.

Carter is an encouraging and excellent trainer. He pushes me when I need it but will explain the why of doing it along the way. Since working with him, I have been more active and seen huge improvements in my balance. I went from dreading/avoiding the gym to coming to the gym with a smile each session.

I’m a new(ish) member. After having my son I was thrilled we were getting a new gym that provided childcare/babysitting.

The last 2 experiences with bringing my son have not been great. After bringing my son today he was not happy when dropping him off. Instead of trying to sooth my son to redirect him to another area to play, they let him stand there and cry. I was only able to stretch and get one set of reps in before I was called and told I need to pick him up. (Roughly 10 minutes after dropping him off). When going in to grab him he was standing in the same spot after leaving him. Hyperventilating. And shaking.

There have been many times I’ve walked in and the workers are on their phones, and not interacting with children. If you are going to provide childcare, I recommend teaching your workers that it’s more than sitting at the desk and checking children in. It also involves interacting with children. Making sure they are comforted. And have a safe environment.

I love the gym atmosphere. And I love getting a good workout in your facility. But I cannot believe the carelessness of the workers in your childcare program.

Sincerely ,
An upset momma that wants to be healthy for her child.

I absolutely love this place!! Everyone is so incredibly kind and having the option for an affordable personal training session on your schedule is SO awesome. (Carter is THEE best, by the way). The Hydro Massage Beds, Sauna, and tanning beds are a huge perk too. Cannot praise Crunch Fitness enough. 😁

Definitely a great size place and they have everything you need. The reason I'm leaving two stars is because I saw a guy pass out there and there was no front desk available because he was busy talking to two women I should say he was definitely flirting with him. Then when I went and got him to help out the man who had passed out he just nonchalantly walked over there didn't call for any help or anything definitely didn't act like it was a serious situation when the guy was pure white the guy definitely needed medical attention and he didn't call anybody.

In January I decided I was tired of being unhealthy so I got a membership at Crunch and a personal trainer. Jalen has encouraged me and pushed me to limits I never thought I could reach. He consistently reminds me that he will not let me fail even when I just want to give up. Thanks Jalen for giving me the confidence to push through!!

Current member. I joined Crunch Fitness from another gym in town because Crunch Fitness had so much more to offer! I love the Hydromassage and tanning that is included with certain memberships. I did the initial meeting with a trainer, Grace L. I immediately knew Grace was the perfect fit for me. Grace tailored a program to meet my needs. Grace has taught me so much! which I have been fitness focused for awhile and lifting on my own but since working with Grace L. I have seen a major change in my fitness and ability! Thank you, Grace! I love Crunch Fitness and I look forward to checking in 5 days a week for my sweat sesh!

I started at crunch in the middle of January beginning a new fitness journey and I signed up for a personal trainer. I’ve been training with Joe and each session has exceeded my expectations. Joe knows what he’s doing when it comes to technique, different exercises and the level of difficulty needed for each workout. He adjusts the workouts to fit my needs while still pushing and challenging me each workout. Each session I feel I am improving and I am glad I made the decision to continue my sessions with Joe. Worth the money and the time.
