Why is it almost every time I come in for a workout in the morning on the weekend that 1) the employee on duty is behind the desk in the corner doing something on and their phone not doing anything and when I go to use the toilet in the men's locker room there is never any toilet paper in the dispenser? WTH! But yet during the week in the mornings I come in and the staff that are working are attentive to our needs and then are out refilling the spray bottles, replacing paper towels and cleaning things! Night and day difference between the week workers and the weekend workers!

Pleasant experience up until the moment I went in for a quick after workout shower...

Shower curtains have what looks like mold on them...

Meanwhile, during my workout, I noticed for over an hour that all the employees behind the desk were scrolling on what looked like their personal phones...

Maybe show some more care for the health of your members by cleaning the shower curtains or replacing them...

I have been going to planet fitness in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for a number of years. I use it for the Shiatsu Chair, Tanning and Lifting Weights. The Shiatsu Chairs get used a lot and seems to break down at times. It seems to take along time to fix them. I hope it improves. The staff at planet fitness is great..!!!! I normally go at nights but it can vary. One guy named Han who works at nights is very good at cleaning and helping me at planet fitness. He is well mannered and takes care of customer needs. He is very good at customer service. I hope he continues to work at planet fitness. There are a number of good employees at planet fitness. Jamie the manager has been doing very well at customer service and management. I do see improvement in the company in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I have an MBA and Masters in Cyber Security and use word of mouth advertising and marketing to help the company.

You keep the place clean. I left PF awhile back to go check out Crunch and that place is disgusting. Over the last year I kept thinking they would get their act together but it just continues to get worse. After yesterday’s workout at Crunch I went to visit Planet Fitness. I was amazed at how clean it was and I was also very surprised to see some of the same staff there. Good buy Crunch, hello Planet Fitness.

Kevin, an employee at this location, asked my wife to play with his "joystick" and then grabbed her. We reported the situation to Jayme, the manager, who tried to turn the situation on my wife when they spoke. Then Jayme kicked me out when I tried to talk with her about it. 10 years I have been going to this gym. My membership is canceled. Absolutely appalled that Planet Fitness is sweeping this under the rugs. DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM!

I am looking to join a gym in town. I considered PF until I found out they allow men in the woman's locker room. If men want to play dress up or have psychological issues they need to have their own locker room. Will not be joining PF as there was a so called woman in the locker room when I was going to change. There is no shortage of rude, condescending, and blatantly disrespectful White women here who go out of their way to antagonize members who look differently than them, and then play the victim when confronted (typical South Dakota). It’s a mostly annoying gym experience, and I doubt this culture will ever change at this location.

This is an edited version of my review from 3 years ago. My thoughts about the quality of service and price aren’t changed. But do you know planet fitness is the only place that doesn’t allow you to cancel your membership over the phone or on the website? You actually have to physically go to the gym to do it or if you are not in town, you need to mail your cancellation request with bunch of information written on it. What an old fashioned way is this! Now you list 2 starts just because of this. You try to make it too difficult to cancel. You need to upgrade yourself with the new system. Not coming back!

I joined this gym about 2 years ago and found it to be a pleasant place to work out, even if you're not a fanatic about it. This gym is a well kept up place as far as cleanliness and the machines go. There are many types of machines, some I have no idea how they work, but, if I wanted to know how to use them, there are friendly employees I could ask. There is also massage tables and chairs, tanning beds, lockers, and showers. Once a month they offer free bagels and cream cheese to their guests. The price per month is either $10 or $20. The $20 price you get free use of the tanning beds and massage chairs and beds.

Go to crunch fitness. IPeople are was less judgmental and is a lot more welcoming at crunch. It's also bigger and has way better equipment. This planet fitness location is NOT LGBT friendly. I got banned for being trans. The only thing the lady would say is that I was banned and that she was going to call the cops if I didn't leave.And it was because of what happened last time I was there which was me coming in doing my workout and leaving. And that I could call back and talk with the manager at 1pm when she came in. I don't even use any of my amenities or anything, just workout equipment. My account has not been banned but I'm banned from that location apparently because I'm trans and some 50 something year old lady has and issue with me. Mind you I have had my membership for a year and a half since I began my transition to maintain and improve my health. I have never felt so discriminated against. I have also been going to this location for more than 2 weeks when she confronted me and has seen me multiple times before this incident. I never called, I just got a membership at crunch where they are truly free of judgement unlike this dingey small gym.

I just joined Planet Fitness and have worked out 4 times. You don't have to wait to work out because of the large number and variety of weight machines, free weights, and cardio equipment, which provide a good workout. There is a massage water bed, free tanning, no spray tan, massage chairs, a work out both thing that is neat and all the weights and work out equipment you could imagine. Open almost 24hrs a day except the weekends. There are locker rooms and showers. The other members could be better and old men less creepy but you get what you pay for.

This is a really nice planet fitness. It's very clean, and the staff is very friendly. All of the equipment is in really good shape, and very, very clean. The locker rooms are clean as well as the restrooms. We like planet fitness when we're traveling because it's really cheap, and they have a lot of equipment. You're not playing a Guessing game with other gyms. My husband doesn't like the fact that the weights are so small and only go up to 75 pound sumbells. But that's o k.

I've been coming to this Planet Fitness for about 5 months. I live in my campervan. I only use the showers. The staff seems nice. Same for the gym. The showers are a disaster! None of the showers work. They look terrible too! Usually I have to wait several minutes for the water to warm up. The water then becomes scalding hot with no way to adjust the water temperature. It's so hot that I can only endure it for a few seconds. These showers are the worst Planet Fitness showers I've encountered!

Very upset because I bought a new combination lock to keep my gym clothes in the locker room only to have the staff cut it off and take my stuff out. Throwing my things in a tote. What is the point of having a lock & locker to use, only to have the gym you pay for cut your lock up? It's not like they're so busy they can't just assign lockers to members then leave their stuff alone! No apologies from the staff, just some nonsense about policy. Well, why isn't that policy posted by the lockers so we know the policy?!!

I’m giving it two stars for the nice attendant and seemingly normal workout facilities but the men’s locker room was in total disarray, Flooded floors from the toilet to showed. There were filthy showers with articles of used clothes left behind and unsanitary hairs in 2 of the 4 stalls. 1 stall was out of order. I live in an rv and travel from state to state. Usually planet fitness do a good job at it. Hoping this was just ill-timing.

Clean, never too busy or over crowded. Clean showers and locker room, the water in the showers are hot and stay hot which is very nice. Friendly front deskers and instructions at most machines, so you're not guessing if you want to try something new. Personal note: I can be extremely shy and anxious in public situations alone. I have never felt threatened or bothered here, especially being a female, it's is a nice benefit. If I were bothered, I would feel comfortable enough to approach the front desk about it & feel confident they would escort me out or assist me however they can. Never needed to do so here. I enjoy going by myself here and not having that anxiety.

I travel the United States for work and I always stop at a Planet Fitness every day in different locations to get my workout in for the day and take a shower.
The lighting wasn’t over the top or dark and friendly staff.
This is one of the locations I recommend.
The only thing I could possibly pick on is the men’s bathroom was pretty dirty and smelled heavily of urine but not uncommon for men’s bathroom to be that way especially with young boys with no manners haha

Decent place to workout for a cheap rate but you get what you pay for. TVs are constantly off, on the wrong channel, or saying the wrong song is playing. Repairs take way too long, they've been missing the wall for the stretching area for months and several machines have cracked padding. Luckily the 'Lunk Alarm' doesn't work though.

So disappointed😥 I pay for the black membership to be able to use the red light therapy and stand up tanning. I haven't used it in about 5 months...upon my return tonight, I enter the red light stand up booth and it's hardly bright in there. So I check it out and see 21of the 30 bulbs are burnt out. ONLY 9 working bulbs out of 30...really?! So I figure why waste my time so I go to tan in the stand up one. The door says - new bulbs adjust your time accordingly - and 2 bulbs are burnt out in there. Might as well cancel my membership, cuz that's the only reason I go there.

I was not aware my debit account was being charged. This location has charged my account for over a year and is refusing to compensate me, though I have another membership in a different state. Will consider legal action. I also did not have a black card membership when I moved 27 month's ago. My location contacted this location to verify my membership and transfer me, but apparently they did not do that, which is why I have 594.00 in charges because someone didn't do their job. The manager Zach is also worthless, he showed absolutely no respect or didn't even apologize for the fact that one of his idiot employees didn't do their job.

Always a good place to come workout at, the crowd meter is so helpful to know what times are busy. The employees have always been helpful, respectful, and friendly. There’s a lot of different equipment so you’re not technically having to wait too long to hop on the machine you want. I even come to find the other gym members are awesome too. Been coming to this location for about 9 months now, very surprised to see so many reviews complaining about the employees as they've been nothing but friendly to me. Solid variety of equipment to fit your needs. Staff seems to always be cleaning equipment off and doing their best to keep the entrances dry so you don't slip when coming in and out.
I go pretty early in the morning so the crowd is pretty tame, came in a little later this morning and the folks using the facility weren't my cup of tea but lesson learned to keep my normal routine.
