This place was everything you could have wanted in a “ninja warrior” gym. I was actually getting ready to scan a QR code to sign my son up, and then the owner opened his mouth and ruined everything. First off there was no introduction, it was just a free for all at a birthday party. Second my 8 year old was on a swing and missed his connection and fell backwards. I could tell he was embarrassed and trying not to cry and instead of the owner asking if he was okay, he chased him down and scolded him and said if he listened to him he wouldn’t have fallen. He then proceeded to argue with my wife about the same thing and we quickly decided this was the first and last time stepping into West River Ninja.

We came for open gym from Minnesota and had a lot of fun working on balance, speed and ring hops with coach Kirk. The facility is spacious, clean and has all the basics for a good ninja workout. Coach Kirk was super friendly and welcoming and helped our daughters with ring hop technique. If we’re ever back in Rapid City, we’ll be sure to stop by again!

Our girls absolutely love West River Ninja! The facility is clean, each week is full of new & exciting routes, staff are supportive & patient, the kids are constantly engaged & moving, and the owners treat every child & their family as their own. I love the options for missed classes and the kids night out is a hit! Highly recommend for kids of all ages.

Called in May to pull my kids out but my cancellation didn’t get put in till June so they charged me for June too! Ridiculous I have passes to use up even though I pulled my kids in May cause they were bored with it! That’s a very sneaky way to get peoples money!!

Coach Kirk at West River Ninja was a great host. His obstacle course kept our girls, and parents, busy/entertained the entire time we were there. We held a soccer team get together here with roughly twenty 9 and 10 year old kids and had a blast. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an active and different experience in Rapid City.

My son absolutely LOVES it here and he really likes the coaches. Both coaches are fantastic with the kids and will work with them individually when needed to help them with skills that they are struggling with. When my son started to get unfocused they did so well at refocusing him and getting him back to it. I am excited so see him grow with this sport and to see where they can help take him.

My wife and I signed up our 5-year-old son two days before a class started. When I got to the gym, I had my hands full carrying my two-year-old and the staff made sure that I was able to get situated with paperwork while helping my son get ready for the class! The owner/coach took the time during water break to step away and talk to each of the parents that sat to watch kids. I am thrilled to see this business flourish!
The prices for classes are worth it. They have a great program for missed classes, and they're already involved in competitions for those kids that are looking to compete. It is run as a professional athletic organization, and the professionalism shows!
