THE PERFECT GYM!! Being in the military we always have gyms available to us, but for the last two months I’ve been home on leave moving between duty stations. I wasn’t going to drive to the arsenal every day to work out either. So I gave this one a shot and it’s amazing. Easy sign up, awesome equipment, clean. Hands down best gym I’ve personally ever been to, and definitely better than any gym on a military installation lol.

Great Gym to workout in! Always stocked on the best supplements, Almost all of the equipment is new, and what isn't new is in great condition. Everyone picks up after themselves, and the gym is always kept clean. Great environment, full of experienced lifters who share their knowledge willingly. Their website offerings of plan options is a bit confusing. It states that you can pay by month and not be obligated to sign into a recurring monthly payments, but unless you change the toggle to “by month” instead of “monthly” on the payment screen you will be billed on a recurring basis.
On another note, the space is very small, just one room. not really any separate areas where you can workout without being a foot away from someone else. Also has a funky sweat smell that their cleaners are not covering up, so feels dirty to me.

***Edit: due inappropriate response from owner… I included a screen shot of when I first entered the contract that clearly states “Single month to month” How is this clear that your customers are purchasing anything other than a “single month to month” purchase? Also if there are only 5-6 members using the gym at a time out of 600.. you’ve said enough without my review.

Austin is great, the space and equipment are amazing & constantly improve. Shakes & supplements are available & more!
When I go in my mornings it’s not packed and I love it! I’ve used the single plan and family plans and I’ve loved them all!
So if you’re looking for a great place with a helpful team/staff, this is the perfect gym!

1st Place Fitness is the best place to go for strength & cardio training, really in the entirety of Northern Madison and Limestone Counties. Austin and Kellee are great owners and are dedicated to listening to any feedback you might have!

With two locations and plenty of strength machines, dumbbells, treadmills, cleaning supplies and even tanning beds, it's a friendly and helpful place to sculpt the new you. Cannot recommend this gym enough!

Great gym all around with everything you need and more! Personally, I love the small location on hwy 251 and Bethel rd. It has 24 hour keypad access, tanning and isn’t usually over crowded so you have privacy while working out. The larger location in downtown Ardmore has more amenities available but is usually more busy for the time I like to go. The prices are fair (well worth it for couples) and you have 24/7 access to either location. Any issues I’ve ever had has been immediately taken care of and because of the way they have treated me I’ll remain a member here for as long as they are open!
