I joined up when the Murfreesboro location opened in February 2025. Over the past 9 months since, my fitness level has improved significantly and probably the best it’s been at least in the past 25 years where my strength has increased and percentage of visceral fat has declined significantly. I never really enjoyed workout at previous gyms like I do here. This is a reflection of both the state of the art gym equipment at my disposal and my trainer (Sean) who has taught me so much on how to train properly.

The staff is friendly and the gym is nice…….until you get to the bathroom and infrared sauna. They are both disgusting and need to be professionally cleaned. When I left the infrared sauna on my last visit I’m pretty sure there was a vomit or poop stain on the back of my pants. Unfortunately, I smelled it.

UPDATE: Per the GM.. This Gym had management who were performing unethical practices! Due to this I was under the impression that after 3
months I could cancel my trainer right away without owing anything because that was the lie I was told. Management did not try in anyway to accommodate me and unfortunately I had to cancel my membership. When I canceled my membership I was told I would not have to pay for a new month and that was another lie because I was charged again! Thank you to Gideon, my trainer.. As for AMped. Take your business elsewhere!

Im not one to leave reviews. I was told I had 2, 128 payments left but was kept being charged 128 for a service I canceled and no longer use. I was told id get a call and refund for that last charge but I never did. Don't do the PT, its not worth it.

This gym has transformed my life. Specifically, my trainer, Gideon. He’s worth every penny and the functional improvements he’s helped me achieve have been life-changing. The gym itself is great. The Babe Cave offers women privacy. The abs and glutes zone has some awesome machines. And the best spot is the CryoLounge!

I’ve been a member of Amped Fitness since they opened and have been coming full-time for the past 4 months. The staff here consistently goes above and beyond to help anyone who walks through the door. The new management team is professional and a true asset to the company. Nick, the GM, is approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. Christina , the OM, has done a fantastic job putting together a great front desk staff and is always helpful.
I also train with Dylan, and I can’t say enough good things about him. He built a personalized plan to help me reach my goals, and in a short amount of time I’ve made incredible progress. He pushes you, holds you accountable, and keeps you motivated. His knowledge, drive, and personal story truly show what determination and a healthy lifestyle can do to change your life.
Overall, I highly recommend Amped Fitness to anyone looking for the best gym in town.

I haven't even stepped foot in this place and won't even bother checking it out on the account that several people have posted that it's next to impossible to cancel the membership. Unprofessionalism was also noted, along with uncleanliness and other issues. I feel bad for the former members who lost hundreds of dollars of their hard earned money to their wicked scheme. It sounds like those who took advantage of the grand opening deal were taken for a ride. If that's the way this gym treats their clients then I want nothing to do with them. I'm thankful that I read the comments first, because I like to make informed decisions before I start lining their pockets with my hard earned money. I can only imagine what kind of lawsuits this gym will face for the kind of treatment former members had to put up with, especially if false advertising played the role in reeling in their victims. Sorry, not sorry. I'll keep my basic membership at the hassle-free gym I go to where I can either freeze or cancel my membership ON MY TERMS with no questions asked. I hope others read through the reviews about this place BEFORE making a commitment they may later regret.

I had to cancel my membership for certain reasons. I cancelled, went into the building to make sure I was good on the cancelation, called to verify I didn't owe anymore money, got a membership cancelation emailing stating I owe nothing. And just got notified that I have a bill that was sent to collections from AMPED. Either they are incompetent or they are crooks, avoid if you want to keep your money

I was a member at Amped for about six months in the first half of 2025, with I feel enough of an experience that I can offer a review.
As far as the gym itself is concerned, zero complaints. I liked the aesthetics of it. It was open, well-lit, generally not crowded when -I- was there. Keep in mind that I was there in the middle of the day and so most likely crowds were, admittedly, considerably smaller. I myself didn't have any concerns with the condition of the gym, the equipment, etc..
Now, the primary factor that I feel that prospective members should be aware of is one that has been repeated several times -- it's the personal training side of their business efforts that must be approached with considerable awareness. I signed up for a once a week plan. I've never worked with a personal trainer, so I figured I'd give it a try.
The buyer should be aware that, unless you approach the process prepared to ask questions, approach with skepticism, and ask in advance to know EVERYTHING about what you are signing up for, it seems that the stipulations and conditions will NOT be verbally explained to you in advance. That being said, this is not surprising -- a lot of businesses do this. This is why the phrase "read the fine print" exists. Once I signed up for the program, I was provided with a copy of what I'd signed up for -- and yes, right there in the document, the conditions were made clear. To be to the point -- they WILL get their money. I don't fault anyone but myself for this -- I should have asked more questions. I could go into more detail, but it's been discussed in numerous reviews already.
Now, I'm going to take a slightly different tack than some other reviews: once I'd realized that I wanted out of this, I kind of already built into my mind that the responsibility was on ME, that I had no one to fault but myself. I will say that the manager at the time (I believe it was Parker) was very helpful in staying with the process to finally extricate myself from the membership and the agreement. However, you should be aware that this required a process, including certified mail (return receipt requested!), several emails, follow up on my part, and back and forth communication. I'd say that I ended up probably over-spending a few hundred dollars by the time I was finally able to extricate myself from it. However, again -- I solely place responsibility on myself for this.
As one more additional comment -- yes -- they've had a revolving door of managers there. Big red flag. In my opinion, it could be indicative of a culture at the company itself that might be grinding its way through managers. One can possibly conclude that if this is happening to staff, then it could trickle downhill to customers as well. Very concerning.
If you are adept at reading fine print, asking questions, and don't mind being an advocate for yourself, then have at it. However, if you are not proficient at saying no or walking away from what might feel like higher-pressure, rushed offers, then just be aware.

Visiting from out of town, would 10/10 recommend checking Amped out, super easy to get setup, I told them I was from out of town and not joining, 1st visit was still free and $10 for day passes after that (golds gym wanted $25 for a day pass 🧐). I went at 4pm and it wasn’t crowded, plenty of free weights and machines for whatever kind of workout you have in mind. I wish they had ne of these back home!

I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel like others should be warned about the current state of Ampd Fitness in Murfreesboro. Things have seriously gone downhill — especially after Mike left. Since his departure, the leadership and professionalism have taken a major hit.
Parker, the current general manager, is rarely ever at the gym. When you call, he’s not there. When you stop by, he’s “running late” or “just stepped out.” Even when he is there, he’s disengaged and not helpful at all. It’s incredibly frustrating when you’re trying to get simple questions answered or handle membership issues, and the person responsible is never around — and never really seems to care.
This gym had potential, but without reliable leadership and accountability, it’s just not worth the headache. Hopefully things improve, but as of now, I can’t recommend Ampd to anyone.

I have been involved in gyms my whole life, and this is by far the worst ran gym I have ever been to. Employees have no clue what's going on. Management is never present. Payed a total of 184.95 for 4 months of service on the 29.99 a month plan. When the manager finally contacted me he said that I needed to have a meeting with him to cancel and regardless of the fact that he was unreachable for over a month while I was attempting to cancel he said I will be charged for a 5th month. Half of the recovery equipment didn't even work. The cold plunges were terrible and looked like they had slime on the surface of the water. the compression boots did not work. The saunas look like they were ordered off amazon. This gym is a joke.

I’m an active member, but I’m extremely confused and disappointed. I’m currently sitting in the front lobby of AMP Fitness writing this review after spending nearly an hour trying to find a single staff member. I walked the building, front desk, locker rooms, office area, you name it. Nothing. No one. I eventually gave up and got on a treadmill, still hoping someone would show up. They didn’t.
Here’s the real problem: my membership includes access to amenities like the recovery room and other secured areas, but those can only be unlocked by a staff member during “staffed hours.” And yet, no staff are here. Not at the desk. Not anywhere. I talked with other members this morning and everyone said the same thing: staffed hours are hit-or-miss, and this isn’t the first time it’s happened.
The gym hasn’t even been open a year, and while the equipment is solid, cleanliness has already gone downhill. Without consistent staff presence, it’s only going to get worse.
AMP Fitness has potential, but at this point it feels like I’m paying for access to services I literally can’t use.

Terrible management and the worst customer service
Until yesterday, I was a member of this gym, but I had to cancel my membership after the worst experience I’ve ever had. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went to work out, and when we were about to leave, he was falsely accused of taking a photo of an employee just because he had his phone out after scanning in.
Two people “Parker and Octavio” (one of whom we didn’t even know if he was a manager) approached him and said his membership would be revoked because of complaints from staff who thought he took a photo, with no real evidence. They only had a security video showing him with his phone and someone standing there and not even close to us— absolutely nothing that proves a photo was taken. No one checked his phone, and there were no actual photos shown. It was an extremely uncomfortable and humiliating situation.
I decided to cancel my membership immediately, not only because of the unfair treatment of my boyfriend but also because of the completely disrespectful and unprofessional attitude. On top of that, they refused to refund my money even though I had just renewed my membership four days earlier.
This gym is run by immature, egocentric people who have no idea how to handle customer service or basic respect. I would never recommend this place to anyone looking for a serious and welcoming environment to work out.

I joined this gym and then got a transfer at work to state that doesn’t have any amp fitness locations. I spoke with the front desk manager, Emily, who said since I couldn’t come in person canceling, my membership would be fine if I sent a certified letter to the club. I sent that in April here we are in July and they’re billing is calling me telling me that I haven’t paid in three months and This is affecting my credit. I have called can never get anybody on the phone, I have emailed Emily back multiple times and cannot get a response. This club has shady, business practices, and at this point I was gonna have to file a lawsuit and who really has time for that bs.

Signed up for the grand opening deal. Never signed up for a membership and got a collections in the mail for 300 dollars and I’ve never even been here. Never agreed to a contract. It was promoted as something to just try out the gym to see if I liked it and now hundreds of dollars. I’ve tried going in and canceling I’ve tried online I’ve tried emailing. They won’t cancel and now it’s been 7 months and there’s hundreds of dollars that I “owe” this place that I’ve never even visited. Manager is never there when you need and now they want me to pay hundreds of dollars to cancel but until then it’ll continue to accumulate money? Does that not sound crazy? I’ve never felt with something like this. I would avoid this gym at all cost. I literally don’t have a membership at all. Don’t even have a card on file because I don’t go here

If I could give this place zero stars or less I would. Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in any gym. I never signed up for a membership whatsoever. They have my name my address and my email and a wrong credit card number and I’ve never been in their establishment. They say I signed up for a club membership, but have none of my personal information that isn’t public. I’m going through hell trying to get this off of my credit. Parker Fleming is the worst general manager to deal with ever. Stay far away from this place if you value your credit and customer service.

The gym itself is great. The staff, particularly the GM, make me regret joining. As many others have said in their reviews - do NOT sign up for personal training. They will do everything they can to try and keep you locked into the contract and add verbiage via text that isn't in the contract anywhere or cancelation form. Starting from when I went in to cancel my PT contract so it didn't auto-renew (in the correct timeframe to do so before another charge) the GM made it extremely difficult. He refused to come to the front desk to give me the form to sign as he is the only one apparently that can do it. Instead of coming out of their back office, he continued to just text the front staff (who was trying to help me) that I had to schedule a time to sign it... I do this, same day, come back and sign the cancelation form and am told the payment that week would be my last payment. Two weeks later I got another charge and am being told after signing the 30 day cancelation form, I had two more payments. According to my contract and what I was told in person, that is a lie. I've had PT at multiple gyms over the years and never experienced such blatant disregard for the customer.

One of the worst gyms in Murfreesboro, avoid at all costs.
Amped Fitness might advertise itself as a 24-hour gym, but that’s far from the reality. More than once, I’ve shown up during hours they claim to be open, only to find the doors locked and no staff in sight. When the staff does show up, it’s often late and completely unbothered by the inconvenience it causes paying members.
The gym is constantly dirty, equipment is left sweaty and uncleaned, trash bins overflow, and the bathrooms smell like they haven’t been scrubbed in weeks. It’s clear that cleanliness and maintenance are afterthoughts here, if considered at all.
To make matters worse, there’s been a revolving door of general managers. Since opening less than six months ago, I’ve lost count of how many they’ve gone through. That kind of instability is a red flag, and it shows in the way the gym is run, or more accurately, not run.
Save your money. There are far better gyms in town that actually care about their members and show up when they say they will. Amped Fitness Murfreesboro is a mess.

Advertised as 247, however system maintenance is poor and usual 5am gym goers were locked out of the gym because they couldn’t access in. The gym has a high management turnover rate and the only good thing about the gym is the equipment. But it’s a new gym so that’s a given.

I joined this gym before it even opened, hoping for a more spacious environment—and it delivered. I love that it never feels overly crowded, even when it’s busy. The women-only section is a great feature and makes workouts feel more comfortable, though it does tend to feel a bit warmer in there compared to the rest of the gym. I was excited to join Amped Fitness earlier this year. They have a variety of quality machines, the layout is nice, and overall, the vibes are pleasant.
However, over the last few months I've experienced the front desk workers completely ignoring my presence when I enter the gym. There are usually 3-4 trainers who work the front and most of the time, they're either talking amongst themselves or on their phones. I do not expect the red carpet to be laid out. Yet, bare minimum customer service should be at least a "hello, welcome in" when members enter. Also, the quality of the ladies' restroom is less than desirable. No matter the time of day, it's guaranteed to be in need of attention.
Although my concerns are small, addressing them would go a long way in improving my perception and perhaps the likelihood of recommending them to friends and family.

About a month ago, I moved and called to ask how I could cancel my membership without having to drive an hour and a half just to cancel. The girl over the phone told me, very confidently, I could cancel by email. I sent an email with a copy of my new lease showing I’ve moved, as well as a photo my driver’s license, weeks ago. I was just charged again this morning, so I called and asked why. The gentleman over the phone this morning told me “we don’t cancel over email.” What? Very disorganized and unprofessional staff. I would not recommend this gym to anyone. Unless you’re ready to be stuck paying a membership to this gym, stay away.

EDIT: Down from two stars to one because I've tried emailing multiple management contact points a number of times about cancelling my membership. I got one email back asking me to come in. I explained that I had already asked to cancel at the front desk previously, with no further response. Multiple follow up emails and still no response. I finally did go in and get it cancelled, but I am genuinely shocked that this company thinks ignoring customer emails is an acceptable management policy.
Original Review:
If it weren't for how cheap and convenient this gym is for me to get to, I would have canceled my membership within the first couple of weeks. The bathrooms are never clean - even just after the cleaning staff have been through. The equipment in the "gauntlet" is always littered across the floor and never put away, the resistance bands are always in different places and often go missing. There seem to be 5+ fitness trainers and desk attendants at any time, but I have never seen any of them do a walk through to tidy up anything. Within weeks of the place opening, wipe dispensers were falling off the walls, barbells were missing from squat racks, and training equipment (like treadmills and the half tire) were out of order. When there's staff in the women's locker room (supposedly cleaning), they frequently block off the entrance so people can't get their things. The management here is obviously sorely lacking.

I'm from out of state / country. The hospitality I received at this facility is second to none. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
The facility itself is very modern with a huge variety of equipment. Other commerical gyms should take note. I didn't have to wait to use any piece of equipment.
I wish I had this facility local to me, a year membership would of been a no brainer.
I would bet that people not leaving a 5 star reviews haven't been around to many other facilities.
Appreciate you having me.

Stay away from this gym. They stole my money. It’s nothing but a money scam. I’ve asked to speak to corporate three times and was denied because they say only they are allowed to speak to them. I did my 3 month of pt. 2 weeks in they fired my pt trainer so they make switch. I told them I didn’t want any other trainer. They said I have to stay in my contract so I had to get another trainer. They gave me Jayy. He sucked. I had to do my own meal plans, I figured out my own workouts and I weighed myself on my own. He’s not interested in being a trainer.. he doesn’t have what it takes. 2 months into my training I told the Gm and staff I want to cancel my training for after the months I was told by all of them it automatically cancels I don’t have to cancel it. So after the 3 months they charged me again. I went up there to get told they fired the Gm for giving us the wrong information. I told them that has nothing to do with me I did my part on my end and they should not be charging me. ( which I have all of this on video.) I was told they have to charge me 2 times again because they do have to cancel the pt and it takes 30 days. So that’s 600.00 more they have to charge me for a service that I don’t receive. They told me corporate is aware of the situation and they aren’t going to give me my money back. What they did was fraud and unethical. I will never step foot back in their building. They leadership/ owner have no morals or ethics. I can’t do all of the lying and scamming they have going on just to get customers. Other than all of that it’s a beautiful gym

They continue to charge even after contracts are discontinued and it takes multiple calls to reissue the money that should have never been charged.
I cancelled PT sessions on March 29 and paid full termination fees ($558). I was charged again for PT sessions on April 7 and had to call three separate times until refund was finally issued.
Then again, I cancelled my membership on March 29 and was charged not only for annual fees in April, but for membership charges in May even when I lost access to the gym in April. Again, I had to call the gym to reissue a refund.
If it wasn’t for me catching the fraudulent charge in my bank statements, they would have continued to charge for access/services no longer provided.

I've been going to this gym since grand opening and the gym itself is nice but I signed up for personal training and it's been a nightmare since. They have stolen money from my bank account amounting to $60 and have tried 8 TIMES NOW to steal anywhere between $408-576 that I don't owe them. They said first they couldnt find where I was attempted to be charged until I produced screenshots, then suddenly I had duplicate accounts. Then I was forced to change trainers, and now they're blaming that for the billing issues. If you want to have 1000's of dollars stolen from you this is the perfect place to go.

3 out of 5 stars
Gym Aesthetics & Equipment:
I’ll start with the good—this gym is honestly beautiful! The aesthetics are so nice, I was obsessed the moment I walked in. It’s always super clean, and I especially loved the “Babe Cave” area—it made me feel really comfortable working out. The amenities are great too, and overall the vibe is awesome. The only thing I didn’t like was the tanning bed—it wasn’t great, but to be fair, it is a gym, so I wasn’t expecting much from that anyway.
Personal Training Experience:
Now for the not-so-great part. I trained with Parker and I seriously loved him—super respectful and honestly a great trainer. But here’s the issue, and it’s a big one: the personal training program comes with a contract, and I was never told that upfront. The woman who signed me up (can’t remember her name, but it started with an M) went over pricing with me—we agreed on two weeks, two sessions a week at $50 each ($200 total).
She had me sign a pad to authorize the payment, and she said that’s all it was—just a card charge. No one mentioned a contract, recurring billing, or anything long-term. Turns out, that signature was tied to a full-on contract that auto-renews and bills every two weeks. I didn’t even know I had an email with the contract until I went to cancel my membership after moving.
After HOURS of trying to get in touch with someone, they finally told me I couldn’t cancel because of the contract. I explained the whole situation and they basically didn’t care. The contract was $200 every two weeks for three months—$1,200 total. Thankfully, I found a clause in the contract that let me cancel for free because I had moved over 50 miles away, but still… the whole thing felt shady.
Overall loved the gym aesthetics but would recommend to Eveyone that the personal trainer has a CONTRACT strung along with it!

Good gym with good equipment and amenities. HOWEVER, the ppl running this gym are KIDS. I always see them sitting on the counter not doing anything but on their phones. They are just working for a paycheck. (This statement will fly over a lot of ppls heads)
Another BIG THING is cleanliness… please see pictures. Men’s restroom
1st pic is from the stalls
2nd pic from the 1st shower passing the urinals. That stuff has been there for a WEEK!!
3rd pic is of the 2nd shower that has been there for 2 days.
As gym goers we pay monthly membership. We all work hard for our money. I don’t want to walk into a filthy bathroom or gym. That being said WE AS GYM GOERS also need to do our part on cleaning up after ourselves. Some of you are just straight up nasty.
The gym employees should be walking and cleaning the bathrooms every 45 min to an hour on the hour to make sure things are clean. And not just spaying things down (as I’ve seen many ppl do here) but actually cleaning the bathrooms and the gym.
Amped fitness wants our money every month if not we get late fees. So we expect amped fitness to deliver and give us a great gym experience. This goes both ways. Cleanliness plays a big part in that.

This gym just isn’t it. I should’ve known by the day I signed up the young African American teenager (I’m assuming some type of manager) with braids was telling the young kids working, “Change” and then the next person would help me sign up. Literally was talking to someone sign me up and then she yelled “change” and the kid behind her took her place to finish signing me up. LOL WHAT?
The gym itself wasn’t too bad but it was very small and the pictures are misleading. The TWO tanning look straight out something they would’ve used in the 70’s. No stand ups there, just the two ancient looking beds.
The bathroom is about the size of a janitorial closet.
Also, be prepared for people to stare at you that are in the mall. You can’t afford to black out the windows?
I had to eat two months worth of paying a membership and the annual fee (because they charge that right after your first month which is smart because they know you could cancel) because I couldn’t make it there with my work schedule to ever cancel when someone was at the front desk.
If you really want a gym that’s friendly and great equipment, check out Tru Fit. I almost cancelled my membership to stay at AMP’D.
This gym is pitiful.

I'll be honest, I have never stepped foot in this place. I bought the grand opening deal for just three cents because I work in the mall and thought now would be a good chance to finally start being healthier. Well sadly, life got in the way and I was unable to go in at all that month I paid for. Cut to a month later, and I noticed a charge on my card for almost $70 dollars!!!! I did NOT agree to that and NOWHERE was it shown the membership was that expensive. The ads are straight up lying since all they say is "pay (insert amount of change here)" and that's it. Well I called, was told the manager comes in at five (which other reviews show that's a lie just to shut people up). I go to the app to cancel my membership, not able to. I tried to take off my card, apparently you HAVE to have a card connected to your account, even when your canceling. I'm STILL getting $14.99 stolen from my account every month, and every time I try to get a hold of someone I'm told to wait for the manager and given the work around. If your reading this looking for a good place to work out, don't. This place is horribly run and much of the staff is very rude (see the other reviews for proof). Not to mention the predatory tactics they use to keep fellow customers to stay and jack up their membership prices to fill their wallets as seen by the other reviewers and even my irl friends who they now say have to pay over $500 freaking dollars to cancel their memberships. Complete insanity!

I signed up for the PT and then my trainer was let go from the gym. He was the reason I joined Amped. I went in and paid the $500 to break my PT contract and have since been charged $168 three times, so another $504, for the bi-weekly charges. I have called multiple times and have been told I will get a call back from both the old manager and new manager and still haven’t heard anything. Attempted to call again today, no answer and voicemail box was full. Not a great way to earn/keep business.

As one of the previous reviewers mentioned, this is a great gym — and after being away from gym life for over five years, I can genuinely say it’s one of the best facilities I’ve stepped into. That’s what makes this review especially difficult to write.
Encouraged by a close friend who is also a personal trainer, I decided to get back into working out and joined Amped. She kindly offered to work out with me until I regained enough confidence to go solo. After just three visits, including one on my own (a big milestone for me!), I was approached by Marie regarding their personal training plans. I was hesitant — I had just started back, wasn’t financially prepared to commit, and really only felt comfortable with my friend’s support. Despite my hesitation, I felt pressured and ended up signing up for a plan.
After our workout, I quickly realized I couldn’t afford it and intended to speak with Marie before leaving, but she wasn’t available. I sent her a message letting her know I’d be back the next day to cancel — well within the 3-day cancellation window.
To my surprise, she responded stating there was footage of my friend “training” me and that, as a result, her membership was being terminated immediately and she was banned from the gym. Furthermore, she said they’d be happy to cancel my membership too so that we could “go work out somewhere else.”
I was completely taken aback. I wasn’t aware of the policy regarding outside training — and more importantly, that wasn’t our situation. We were simply two friends working out together. The accusation that we were “hiding” in the women’s-only area (which is meant to offer a private space for women — one of the reasons I joined!) felt deeply unfair. I even tried to explain this to the manager, Mike, but was told that stretching with resistance bands constituted training.
It’s disappointing that the situation was handled based on assumptions rather than a conversation. I wish there had been a chance for clarity before such a strong conclusion was reached.
This experience was disheartening, especially after how motivated and excited I felt getting back into fitness. I hope the gym can find better ways to approach these situations with empathy and open dialogue in the future.

UPDATED REVIEW: Great equipment. Brand new. What happened in my experience at Amped Fitness was amazing at first. The staff worked with me on pricing for PT. I had some life events happen where I was not able to continue to pay for the service. How that was handled was bluntly stated that NOTHING could have been done. Come to find out from other sources is that there are so many ways to help. Especially here in the state of Tennessee. The least that could have been done was to push the contract out for some months. But I was told the ONLY WAY was to pay to get out of the contract. I felt there was a money grab and it appeared to be desperation. Whatever the case I canceled my membership and went back to Crunch Fitness. Also, I was told that contacting corporate via email and working the contract could help as well but never received the actual email from them even asking numerous times. I kept getting the run around about it. I did originally give a 5 star review. 2 stars is for the brand new equipment and most of the staff there are really helpful and friendly. Hope this review helps people in the future.

Im a Personal Trainer and avid gym goer. I was excited for 6 whole months for this place to open. And I could not have been more disappointed. I went just right after they opened. Parking was a mess. Walked in to see FOUR staff members at the counter. They were all too busy talking with eachother and having random conversations to help get me checked in. After a few minutes, I went ahead and walked back since I had already signed up and gotten my profile on the app. It was only then that they stopped me for a picture and then went back to being huddled in a group chatting. I cannot fathom running a profession where customers are ignored, especially when a gym first opens. You KNOW you have all new members coming in. Stop standing around laughing and chatting like you're high schoolers in a hallway. Welcome people in. Ask if they would like a tour of the gym. I have worked in gyms and was appalled at this lack of professionalism. The layout was not great at all. And no changing rooms so I couldnt even get ready. I come from my job at a hospital. Through work, family and just growing up here, I know A LOT of people. I do not want them seeing me change and shouldn't have to cram in a bathroom. I left and did not go back. Within a month of signing up, they charged 80 dollars to include the yearly maintenance fee. This is typically done at the end of the year. And I don't care if it was hidden in paperwork. It's a slimy and greedy move to take that from customers when they have not even hardly been there. I went in today to cancel. Once again, 4 team members at the desk. One was actually attentive and helping someone. The other 3 were leaned back against counters just chatting and laughing and ignoring me and other members. Absolutely disgusting. Id never tolerate that.

Where do I begin with this review. Let’s start with ABC fitness who is apparently the billing provider for amped but neither amped nor ABC really talk to each other. ABC fitness allegedly closed my account on 04/07. On 04/15 I received an email stating I have a past due fee of $15. So I called ABC again to verify and I’m in queue for over 45 min. So I figured just go down to Amped and just clear up the confusion. Nope. Now while this is a 1 star review 10/10 Gideon needs a pay raise he handled the he situation like a champ. Here is where I have the issue the little girl at the front desk who was brought up to help cancel the contracts decided she wanted to get loud with me after I told her I wanted to resolve this today and not start an email chain with whoever she wanted me to email. It was bad enough that the other people behind the desk told her to step back and Gideon pulled me aside to fix the situation. The GM even decided to come over along with 2 other gentleman. I thought it was overkill considering I hadn’t even gotten loud yet. Short story long if you speak to ABC make sure you get a name or else the front desk at amped will get loud with you. 5 stars for Gideon and hopefully some customer service classes for miss thang behind the desk.

Love everything about the gym, the atmosphere, and all! Staff has been incredible so far and very helpful. Plenty of equipment and so many different options when it comes to working out. Definitely one of(if not the) best gyms in Murfreesboro. My only issue is that I wasn't told that there's an annual fee that is taken after your first month. Was told after signing up for like 3 cents(which was great!) it would be $29.99. Nothing mentioned about an extra $50 added for an annual fee. Would have been nice to know that was coming up! Communication for that is definitely needed.

This place is ran so poorly! They have messed up my bill from day 1! Still have not been paid my money owed from the last month. They have been charging me for an extra account. This is going on another bill cycle where this is not fixed. Say they are open with staff at 5… lies last month someone has been there at 5 am one time. Paid extra for the highest membership to use ice bath and can never use it since no one is ever here to let me in.

Equipment is great if you like to workout at night because it’s the only time you will be able to get on anything that’s not a treadmill. Saw multiple personal trainers not wipe down equipment/rerack their weights. One trainer even asked me to move off the machine so he could use it with his client. Very intimate locker room for the amount of clientele. Had a man call me asking how I like the gym he rage quit the phone call because I said I would never come back after I til him a story in which i was working out in an area by myself and had 4 different trainers with their clients come and workout around me. Poor quality gym.

Was overcharged initially for my membership, when I signed up.. asked multiple multiple people and they all gave me different answers and the run around. Which apparently happened to many people, but whatever. Went opening night to get my key card. and was talked into using a personal trainer. Went within 3 days to cancel per the contract, and was literally talked out of it and made to feel horrible about myself. It was so uncomfortable. Went and called multiple times to try to get out of it. Had them move my payment day, which messed everything up and I get told different things about it. Call and get told to come in at a certain time because there’s not manager on site. Come in at that time, and told manager isn’t there. Get the run around on everything. Like I think I’ve gotten a different answer every time I go. Every time I go there I have several personal trainers coming up to me while I’m working out, interrupting my workout to try to get me to sign up, it’s so predatory and they don’t take no for an answer. The gym is beautiful though, just would not recommend if you have a hard time or get uncomfortable saying no in really uncomfortable situations. Also if you are new or vulnerable they will try to take advantage of that.
