This is your gym! Was in town unexpectedly and got turned away from another gym because they dont do passes. Maddox answered the phone and was professional and helpful, explained thier pass system and impressed me enough to make the 30 minute drive. The facility felt like a professional gym, getting my deadlift and squats in was easy and I was surrounded by athletes and lifters like me. Everything was accessible and clean, and they had anything i could have wanted. Log shoulder presses, exercise balls of all sizes, lanes for sled pushes and farmers carries. Four professional platforms. A separate room for pilates and such. Great first impression and if I lived here I would be a regular. Hidden gem, their merch is the best I've seen from any gym, across the country.

Went to armor gym Knoxville 5/11/25 I was impressed with the equipment selections from Arsenal strength pendulum squat, power squat, hack squat, iso-lateral leg press and multiple pin loaded selections. The Strive/ prime selection were great to use with different weight location made for nice workout. I finished with standing leg press and squat to wear out my legs. The music and atmosphere were great can’t wait to visit again for my push and pull days to use other Arsenal and Dynobody machines mixed with little bit of the old prime machines.

I can understand when people say (particularly women) they feel a little intimidated starting a new gym. Six years ago I walked into Armor Gym nine months pregnant and the heaviest I’d ever been. Bottom line:
When you go to cancel your membership, I urge you to take a photo of it as evidence just incase they misplace it, they have a very high employee turnover rate and with so many young people behind the desk, it's not hard to imagine they could misplace something.
You will not get your money back no matter what evidence you present and no matter how much sense you make.

I reside in Fla and travel to Knoxville quite often. Last visit, I went to a gym (well known chain). It was filthy and run down. In fact, it was so disgusting, I left after 20 min of trying to make it work. Disappointing because it tossed my fitness routine for the duration.

For this visit, I decided to do my homework. Armor Gym’s hours, description, positive reviews, owner engagement, etc., impressed me enough to give them a shot over the other choices. I looked forward to checking it out and had a feeling I’d be HAPPY!

The gal who worked the front desk expressed her passion in Armor Gym (a good sign). I love the layout. It’s super clean. It has a “do your thing” vibe (unless you’d like a trainer) and all I need is accessible and easy to navigate. I like the floor area where I can do my stretches, HIIT work on those days. Only on day two so I’m looking forward to exploring the rest. I’m hooked and stoked because it gives me the anchor I needed to the area when I visit my parents.

It’s my new home away from home gym!

My wife and I love to gym hop and we heard good things about Armor Gym so we decided to take a ride from the Nashville area to check the gym out. It is a very spacious gym with a ton of free weights and machines mostly Arsenal pieces. They have a Power Lifting Section. I did a push work out of Chest, Delts and Tri’s. Got a awsome pump. The people are friendly as is the staff. The faciity was very well organized and very clean. Definitely a great place to do some serious training.

Armor Gym is a decent facility. The equipment is pretty good and they have a nice variety of machines. Most of the employees are very friendly as well. However, I had a terrible experience when I was trying to end my membership that I feel must be shared. I was in a “group membership” with my girlfriend, best friend and his girlfriend, where we each paid 32.50 per month for each person. I moved away from the area and wanted to downgrade my membership so my friend could take it over solo so I could avoid a cancellation fee of $100. When we went in to fix the membership on December 4th, the General Manager, Dustin was very understanding and said quote “You will not have to pay a cancellation fee because the account is still active” and quote “And since we have not charged members for the month of December yet, you will not be charged.” Armor proceeded to charge me for both the months of December 2023 AND January 2024. I called to fix the problem thinking it was a simple solution and I would get my money back. I was repeatedly “pushed off” as no one would seem to want to help me out with the problem. Finally on January 8, I received a call from one of the managers, who called and said quote “We have refunded you for the month of January, but since you did not give us 30 days notice of you wanting to cancel your membership, we can’t refund you the December balance.” I asked this manager several times in previous months if this would work to ensure that I wouldn’t have to pay the cancellation fee, and they told me I wouldn’t. I asked where that policy came from and the manager said it was a new policy for the new year. Long story short, I ended up paying $30 more than what the normal cancellation fee costs and the General Manager ensured that I wouldn’t have to pay any of these fee when I downgraded the membership initially. At the end of the day I believe when someone tells a customer something they should stick to their word. I will not be recommending this gym to anyone after my experience.

Very disappointed in my first (and last) experience here. I’m new to the Knoxville area so I’ve been on the hunt for a local gym. I stumbled across Armor Gym via instagram and was very interested in getting more information and touring the gym. I was in the area this past Monday so I stopped by to inquire and check it out. Upon entering, there were 2 men at the desk. One did not care to acknowledge me or help me out; he just continued talking to (what it seemed like) a friend. And the other gentleman looked super young and could care less to help me as well. I asked the young man if he could tell me more about the gym, give me pricing, and maybe show me what amenities Amour Gym has to offer and all he asked me was “do you want to pay monthly or in full”. This is a rather silly question to ask someone who came in to ask about ALL the options you have to offer. How am I to pick the best payment option when I have no idea what options you offer? I told him this and he said nothing - all he did was hand me an iPad and told me to read through the membership options. He didn’t care to explain anything or answer any questions. I briefly read through the list and handled the iPad back because I could tell it was a mistake coming down here. He didn’t bother to show me around and the couple of questions I did ask he gave me vague answers. Overall my experience did not entice me to join this gym. I will continue to look elsewhere as it seems the employees don’t know proper customer service skills.

The crowd is youthful & highly motivated. Later in the evening folks 30+ got their gains lol.
Despite the lack of diversity, at no point did I feel judged or unwelcomed. I actually got hit on by a member 😏😂
The equipment is phenomenal!! I've been to alot of gyms in my lifetime. It's easy to see why they're thriving. Great energy, great crowd & great music. I'll be back before my time is up in TN 💯

Great place! I was in Knoxville for work and got their 3-day pass for 25.00. What an awesome gym. They have an abundance of stations and machines to get in any kind of workout. The staff was exceptionally professional and helpful. The facility and equipment was very clean. The dumbbell rack was amazing, never seen one in 2.5lb increments.
My one quibble is that it took some searching at times to find the 10, 5 and 2.5lb plates.

Love this gym. It's the only real lifting gym in Knoxville, first off; there are tons of machines, free weights, turf, and accessories (foam rollers, bands, PVC pipes, boxes, Bosu, kettlebells, etc.), so although it can get really busy during rush hour, I still don't wait terribly long to get my turn at the different areas. Populated mostly by men, but there are a good number of women too, and the men are respectful and observe the "if she's not your wife, girlfriend, or sister, leave her alone" rule. Love that there's a sauna---always a line to get in, but really nice that you don't have to pay extra to use it. There's an outdoor area I've never used but it looks fun. Always really clean and the music is great. Owners are Christians and all the employees are friendly. Excellent pricing options, especially compared to other local gyms like National Fitness Center and the YMCA. There's no running track or pool like in some other gyms, but I personally have no use for those, so I feel all my needs are met.

Good lifting equipment but literally 1/3 of the saunas work and the highest temp you can get is only 151 degrees. For a place that prides itself on good equipment and health, having a sauna setup like this is sub par.

Been a member for 5 years. By far the best gym in East Tennessee. If you haven’t been there do yourself a favor and go get a lift in at Armor and tell them I sent you! Everyone there gets after it and the atmosphere is second to none.

I am in the military, and came home and worked out with my buddy. It was really a great gym all around. Awesome atmosphere and equipment. Nice, friendly staff too!

Update: it’s been 5 years now, and I am no longer in the military. I live in Washington state but will be moving back to Knoxville soon. I STILL wear my armor gym sweatshirt this many years later, and I have not found a gym that I like as much as armor gym. This is literally my favorite gym I’ve been to, and I have traveled all over the country and world in the military. Thank you armor gym!

Armor gym is without a doubt the best gym in Knoxville, both in general and every category; strength, cardio, hypertrophy, all can be accomplished. They are constantly updating their equipment and adjusting to the the needs of their customers. Iain, the Assistant-GM, has gone above and beyond. This gym will help you stay true to your goals. It is hard to workout in gyms where the vibe is "lets eat pizza afterwards," the guys & ladies in this gym get after it, no excuses. That enjoinment alone should be enough to ignore every other gym. This gym is filled with every type of person looking to better themselves. Few bonus; in-door track, outside area, energy drink bar, fridge that the customers can use for their own drinks, and tons of support equipment; belts, pads, etc. One more shout-out to Iain, give that man a raise!

I have been a member for several years and have been fortunate to have Nic Paret as my trainer. He is a knowledgeable and great trainer. He takes the time to really listen to what it is you want from yourself, but also very realistic and honest about your goals. Nic knows how to motivate me in the gym, simply by knowing how competitive I am and likes to challenge me. For anyone looking for a trainer and I mean a real trainer, you will not find a better one than Nic Paret. He simply is the best trainer there is!

My daughter (10) and I have been members of Armor Gym for a year now. We work out together with personal trainer, Nic Paret. Nic is an amazing trainer and person. We have both come so far in the year we have been training with him. He pushes you but in a way that is motivating and encouraging and makes you want to go to the gym and keep getting better. But my highest compliment to Nic is how great he is with my daughter. Evie adores him. He is not only her trainer but he has become a good friend and mentor to her. He takes the time to talk to her about her life and her goals. I feel very fortunate to have found not only a great gym and trainer but also a good friend and a mentor for and role model for my daughter. We highly recommend this gym and especially personal trainer, Nic Paret.
