Amazing community! I love coming to classes here because the people are real and everyone is so supportive. Coach Kyle, Matt, and Amy are so welcoming and helpful. There are only a few places where you can truly say community is everything and CF DCL is one of them! You can get a good workout anywhere but a strong community is a rare thing you will find at CF DCL.

Iβve been doing Cross Fit for just over a year and Iβm very happy with the results. Very supportive environment and there is no shaming if you need modifications to the prescribed workout regimen for the day if you need it. My doctors and chiropractor all encouraged me to be physically active but gave me certain restrictions and the staff at DCL are very supportive and accommodating.
This gym has a variety of skill levels and it can be easy to question why you are there when you can be surrounded by very talented athletes. My goal is to be better than yesterday and they support me in that.
The owner is fantastic and very knowledgeable and involved. Itβs a great community of people here at DCL.

As a newbie to CrossFit, I am so glad I found this gym. The coaches are great and help you modify the movements for you based on your fitness level. Everyone is so welcoming and encouraging! I canβt recommend this gym enough. Thanks DCL crew!

With the ever growing population in Clarksville, you will find there are quite a few CrossFit Gyms in the area. I have tried several but CrossFit DCL feels more like a home than a gym. Across the board, the coaches and athletes are the most kind hearted and outgoing people. Every athlete strives to make their yesterday goals a little better with every day. The owner, Matt writes his own programming, truly unique as most gyms use cookie cutter programs. Thereβs also a great child area with child care. Love it here!

This gym is an absolute gem... knowledgeable coaches, great location, and the friendliest, most supportive members. The classes were challenging but scale-able, and the variety of times allowed me to pick the one that worked best each day.

What an amazing gym! The owner Matt truly cares about his members. His organization, attention to detail, all the way down to how he maintains the gym equipment goes above and beyond. My wife and I came from Dallas, and we have been to a lot of CrossFit boxes, CrossFit DCL is #1 on our list.

The best crossfit gym in Clarksville. I have moved around a lot over the last 10 years as part of a military family and have been a member of many crossfit gyms. This is one of the best. Matt, the owner, is by far the best coach I've ever had. Also, the community created at DCL is fantastic. They are always having events, which makes it easy to make friends and quickly feel part of the gym community. Everyone is welcoming and it is a great place both for new athletes to learn and for more experienced athletes to learn and be pushed.

There are roughly 4 different CrossFit Gyms in the Clarksville area as of today. So, what truly makes CrossFit DCL different and stand out? Not only does Matt write every piece of his programming by himself but every single individual that comes through his doors becomes his family (cliche I know) but true. This gym isnβt operated with a money first mentality. Instead itβs about how can they make their athletes better every single day. All of Mattβs coaches embodied this same mentality. Iβve been to multiple other gyms in the area and I can say, there isnβt a gym that is better than CrossFit DCL for a multitude of reasons.

I dropped in on this box while traveling in the area. Everyone was so friendly, and the coach was fantastic. I felt very welcome, had a great workout and learned a few things too. Still a few days left in my trip and I definitely plan to drop in again before I leave. Thanks Dunbar!

I attended a few classes while I was working out of town. Owner and coaches were happy to have me and scaled me appropriately to protect my chronic shoulder issues. Their members were friendly and cheered me as much as I cheered them. If you're looking for a home or just a drop in box then I highly recommend them

Wife and I were in town for a week and contacted three Clarksville-area CrossFit locations by e-mail the week before we arrived. Matt was the most personal and responsive, so we chose his gym and I am glad we did. We come from a well-established affiliate (est. 2004) with tons of great coaches, and I wish Matt was one of ours. Dunbar Cave Lab (DCL) is small, but Matt is very attentive and he has what it takes... the ability to teach, to see, to correct.
We went to the morning sessions and everyone we met was super cool. Ability levels ranged from newbies to full-on CrossFit rock star, all working out together, and all motivating each other in typical CrossFit fashion. Meanwhile, Matt circulated around and, several times, told me exactly what I needed at exactly the right moment. He did this for everyone. I was very impressed. During skill work, he helped me noticeably improve my muscle-up in a way that made it MUCH easier to hit.
Seriously, if you are considering trying CrossFit for the first time, or if you are an established CrossFitter looking for place in Clarksville to meet good people and get good coaching, give DCL a shot.

This is a great gym! I've done crossfit at other places because of deployment, at other duty stations, and while on leave, but after a month at DCL I've PR'd every single lift and improved my technique -- all of this while not getting injured. Coach Matt is the best! I also love the small class sizes

I didn't try CrossFit for a really long time because it has such a bad reputation, but needed something new, so I caved. After a few months at a different local box, I realized that more than anything, it's the coaching that makes or breaks CrossFit and that it can be awesome when done right, so when my favorite coach opened his own gym, I knew I had to join. After four months at DCL, I've made heaps of progress with my personal fitness goals. My mile time is the best its ever been, I have these weird things on my body...muscles?! Strange! (No, not the beefcake scary woman muscles, but nice, defined arms and legs and I'm starting to notice nice lines on my stomach too! I'm excited!!) I'm able to push myself through workouts that I wouldn't have completed before, AND, I can finally pick up my squirmy, big dog and put him in the tub ALL. BY. MYSELF. If that's not enough, I also feel really great, have lower stress and have awesome energy all day after a tough morning workout.
And, for those of you who think CrossFit is a cult, it probably is at some gyms, but I don't drink the Kool-Aid and I still have a great time here. And, it should be noted that I've never had an injury from workouts, other than bruises from me being clumsy and rolling barbells into my shins or inadvertently whipping myself with a jump rope...but that doesn't count. The community at this gym is fantastic and I've met some wonderful, down to earth, people who will be lifelong friends. Thanks, Coach Matt and everyone at DCL, for being amazing, encouraging and for pushing me every day!
