It became more of a hassle and the corporate number they refer you to is a dead end and "not monitored" so yeah, not helpful at all. The billing is done through the website and you dont actually speak to anyone. What was supposed to be $30 a month is more like $60 with the "billing issues".

I absolutely love Crunch Fitness, and the biggest reason is the Zumba classes with Andrea and Shannon T. Their energy is unmatched! Every class feels like a party, the music is always on point, and they make everyone—from beginners to seasoned dancers—feel confident and included.

The work out experience is great and the people were kind. The child care person was nice as well. BUT the childcare area itself is not clean. My baby was in there for a little over an hour and his clothes and hands were gross when I picked him up. Honestly not a great gym at all. I work over at Acme Athletics and I’m a lead for front desk but their team management and front desk is a little embarrassing. I went here for only 5 months and the cancellation policy is even worse than their workers. Not only that but the equipment isn’t in its best shape either. Bathrooms are checked on and half of the time and never have toilet paper too. I’m giving it two stars and not just one star because I do appreciate the cost even though you feel almost pressured to buy the more expensive memberships due to the members getting paid off commission. There is plenty of other gyms to go to in Clarksville so I just wouldn’t recommend going here.

Don’t go especially if you have kids. Signed up online for this gym once moving to Clarksville because they have child care. Couldn’t find the child care hours listed anywhere on anything so after I joined online I called and got the hours. Got my baby all loaded up and showed up to be told they require reservations for child care 24 hours in advance (no one ever told me that when I called for hours) I had to cancel my membership right there because having a 4 month old your lucky to get find a time to get in the gym and making appointments 24 hours in advance is pretty impossible for most. After canceling it they told me I still had to pay for the month I won’t be using and automatically pulled the money outa my account without telling me they were doing it right then. So took my money for something I was never able to use and said it’s cus I canceled it after 5 days instead of 3. The child care room also looked disgusting I didn’t want to leave my baby in there annyway and out of order signs on the equipment.

This is one of the worst crunches I've been to. I travel a lot, and by far this is the worst. I've come here a few times when I travel, and it's always dirty. The paper towels are often out of stock at times. The stair Masters are just dirty. The kids' crunch requires calling 22 hours in advance to schedule an appointment to drop off the kids, as they are understaffed. I saw that there was only one person in the kids' crunch with more kids than she could handle. The Crunch in Killeen, TX, has recently expanded and now has 2-3 workers in the kids' area, which has always been cleaned and staffed with toys, similar to other Crunch locations. We pay for the membership to go to any Crunch with kids, but we’re unable to go because they lack or are unwilling to hire staff.

The cleanliness is horrible at the gym especially the Sauna. I joined specifically for the Sauna. The Men’s Sauna is very neglected. Dirty wood, floors are dirty, the Sauna reaks of musk, and there’s broken wood around the heating unit. Someone gifted (sent me the money) me a 2 month membership to this gym so I tried it out for a few more months but this hasn’t been a pleasant experience AT ALL.
The portion that bothered me the most was the inconvenience of how to cancel my membership. First, there wasn’t an option in the app to quickly handle the cancellation so I proceeded to the FAQ page in which I did as instructed, 3 times, and never received a call from a staff member at the gym. Then, I came into the gym to cancel and was told I had to come back when a manager was on duty but wasn’t given clear days and times a manager would be available. Lastly, I was able to come back into the gym to cancel and was advice that I would still be charged for the upcoming payment that’s due in 3 weeks 😳. Hold up wait 😂

Came here as a guest to see if I wanted to switch from Plant Fitness… but this facility was very dirty. The water station was disgusting and my brother said the filter status has been red for months. While we were stretching on the floor you could feel the gritty dirt on your skin because i guess no one sweeps/vaccums. I have been with this gym since 2021 and it still is my go to gym. The prices for membership is very affordable and the atmosphere is great. There is room for improvements like all businesses but this is only something that can be done with the help of the people and management. This gym continues to be a powerhouse, It has some of the best employees and patrons that I have met since I've been here in clarksville. We can talk about the negative, and we can point out the broken equipment some things take time. But just talking about it doesn't produce change. Eric, destiny and the other PT's are awesome and very patient and knowledgeable of their jobs. I would definitely continue to attend this gym and recommend all new individuals or families to come in and check it out.

BTW, there is a kids crunch for the stay at home or working moms and dads. You workout while crunch is babysitting. Can't beat that

Crunch Fitness Clarksville has been the most unprofessional and shady experience I’ve ever had with a gym. I was charged $400 total — including TWO $200 charges — even after I canceled, even after my trainer stopped showing up for full sessions, and even after I communicated everything in advance.

I was told by my trainer that my last day was supposed to be July 9th. She even LEFT EARLY during one of my sessions. I made multiple attempts to cancel. I left my contact info at the desk, followed up, and called multiple times. I was still charged anyway — for sessions I never received.

When I went in to speak to the manager today, he told me to my face, “I’m doing other stuff. I don’t have time to deal with this.”
EXCUSE ME?

You charged me seven payments, refused to refund me for services I didn’t get, and then tried to hide behind a contract you yourselves violated. If trainers can walk out early, if the manager can refuse to address customer issues, then clearly that “contract” don’t mean a damn thing.

I will be taking this to General District Court and reporting to my bank. I’ve tried every avenue — you ignored me, dismissed me, and now you’ve lost a customer forever. Y’all got me messed up. I would NEVER recommend this gym to anyone

Tried to cancel my membership because I wasn’t using it enough. Understood that I had to do so in person which wasn’t a problem. Tried to cancel for two weeks straight and kept getting the run around. Was told the manager wasn’t in each time and then was told that they would be there 10-3 on one occasion. Went and the guy at the counter said there policy no longer required to come in, I could just send an email. Sent the email. Waited 3 days went in because I didn’t receive a response. Elijah did it on the spot but informed me I would be charged one more payment so I have one more month of service. I asked if he could back date it at least to the day that I sent the email because that date would have put me in the current billing cycle which was my intent for trying to cancel the previous two weeks. He said no. It’s effective that day. Moral of the story if you plan to cancel give a 60 day notice just in case they are unreachable for the first 30.

I called to cancel my membership and asked what I owed and was told it was $79 (including the annual fee which is not prorated if you only stay a few months) Anyway, I arrived about an hour and a half later and it magically went up to $104.00. Manager claims there’s nothing she can do but retrain the staff. Also, I signed up on the “no registration and no annual fee” deal. Please read the fine print cause there is an annual fee. Then, she says there is no phone number only an email to contact somebody name James. Oh, and some machines are broken and they only have one of a lot of the machines so you have to wait in line for the ones that are not broken which could mean not using it at all and if you only want to use that particular machine you have just wasted time and gas. I ended up paying the $104 because the manager said that they would continue to try to take the money out of my account. If I could give them a zero, I would. So disappointing🤬

Been trying for 3 months to cancel my membership. I iniated it on the website. Never got a call back like I was told. Emailed the club, they responded and told me to email in my cancelation, and then provided me with the wrong email. I began getting notices of late payments even though I iniated the cancel. I called the club and was told I was given the wrong email but the front desk. They gave me the GM direct email (James skarka) he responded once and now won't answer emails or calls. Currently on hold because the manager is "busy"... he's been "busy" since March... do not go to this club. Its overcrowded, the machines break all the time, and the workers only care about their online presence. I live in Atlanta, Georgia but I’m originally from Clarksville. I was in town visiting and went to the gym here. It was completely a downgrade, very small gym. It’s missing a lot. The worst I’ve been to. Most people wear headphones but for the ones who don’t, the music was horrible. Like play some real music instead of those lame mashups. I had to wait insanely long to get put into a tanning bed and when I did, the floors were absolutely disgusting, there was tanning lotion all over walls, chair, mirrors and the inside of the bed had not been cleaned. I reached out to management and they said they’d handle it and I went back a day later to same tanning bed and it still had not been cleaned. The paper towel holder has never worked in this particular room and I mention it every time and they say they’ll get it fixed but never do. They are the most misleading group of workers in a facility I have ever experienced. First I was misinformed about how many guests I could bring even though I had already brought over the amount previously, unbeknownst to myself at that time. Then I was misinformed about not being charged for a special they had to get with a trainer. Only to still be charged for it, albeit was only $10 and I ended up being refunded for it in cash due to the fact the general manager could not explain why I was charged to begin with. Finally when I cancelled my membership 28 days in advance I was told that I would still be charged the next month because I did not cancel before 30 days, although I was paying for the peak results membership which as it states is a non commitment plan. Constant misinformation, constant frustration, constant let down. The most confusing/infuriating part overall is that when you go online everything online directly goes against the rules of this Crunch in particular. Now I understand that different locations, different rules apply then what may be advertised online, however when you have a staff that seems to be very ill trained or just don’t care about their individual jobs enough to the point where customers are constantly being misinformed. It is truly disgusting for a business to be so unorganized which in turn leads to terrible reviews such as this.

This place somehow always seems to have the dirtiest bathrooms. Overall hygiene in a place where people sweat is important. I understand the attendants can’t constantly be going into the bathrooms and checking how they are but something needs to be done. There are days when I leave early from this place because I need to go number two and just looking at how dirty those toilets are I never want to go there i’m not sure if it’s just the guy’s restroom or not but I wish they would be slightly cleaner. This gym is incredibly filthy, many people don’t wipe down machines and the bathrooms are dirty. I have gotten sick many times from this gym. I go here 4-5 days a week during the night.
Jazz is one of the only staff members that are friendly and i see constantly cleaning and refilling sanitizers.
I used to go with a group of friends and on four occasions, their children came home with either ring worm, hand foot and mouth, or strep.
I really do love this gym and the quality, just wish it was cleaner. 😕

Edit. The water filters almost always need to be changed, and few times I’ve gone into the women’s restroom to change. There has been period blood on the walls.

I recently had a disappointing experience at Crunch Fitness. The staff appeared rude and seemed inconvenienced when I asked to use the tanning beds or purchase a drink. Additionally, the mats in front of the weight area are bubbling and dangerous—I tripped over them and saw others do the same, which is a serious safety hazard.

The new gym GM seems largely unresponsive, with only a few exceptions. The gentleman who diligently cleans, sweeps, mops, and wipes down equipment, as well as the young blonde staff member who works in the evening, are exceptional and should be recognized and promoted. They are the only ones who seem to be putting in real effort.

On the other hand, I noticed a group of men abusing the machines during my visit, and nothing was done by the young man at the desk. It’s clear that when equipment breaks, it’s not addressed promptly. This gym could greatly benefit from minor improvements and better staff management.

I love the Zumba classes and sauna. I hate how crowded it always is, but the biggest problem for me is child care. It used to be easier to get your child in…now I can barely ever get in the gym because it’s always booked. I call “22 hours” in advance like they say and they either don’t answer the phone or they say it’s still booked up….it needs to be a better system.

Update: I just thought it was fair that I update my review. I have continued going to Crunch Fitness. Although, I rarely see anyone clean & I’m never totally sure if the tanning beds are actually clean, it does look cleaner & better attended to. I’ve met some amazing people & I guess the newness of the gym has worn off because it is not nearly as crowded now.
Original Review: Switched from PF, excited for the punching bags & classes. The gym is too crowded all the time. You have to wait to use everything (punching bags, tanning beds, etc.). The bathrooms are always gross & never have toilet paper. So far it has been an overwhelming, anxiety ridden experience. I used to love to workout. Now I feel anxious thinking about setting foot in this place & have to talk myself into getting out of the car.

I started late February and wasn’t sure what I was doing. All I knew was I was tired of being where I was. I started with the treadmills and then found group classes. That’s where my confidence in myself really blossomed. The instructors are phenomenal and the other class attendees are amazing as well. Whether it’s Yoga, Pound, Zumba, HIIT, or Ride, you’ll find yourself sweating lol. I have conquered fears in this gym and hope to continue challenging myself. I even take my twins in to weight train for football and cheer.

Andrea, Lisa, Sarah, David, and Kristin are just a few of the amazing Instructors I have gotten to know and enjoy their class 💕

If you're struggling to choose between a gym and a strip club this would be a place to go! The moment you walk in you'll see nothing but content creators with literal thongs hanging out, beats Cat West if I do say so myself. I'm only giving 4 stars because there's no touching allowed other than that it's a great place to be if you wanna see people on their phone on a machine they're not using....a zoo with a membership option if you will.

This place is so full all the time and uncomfortable to walk in, I have tried to cancel my membership and they refuse to cancel unless I write a letter, this is 2024, this is a process used by a corporation in order to steal from people. This morning jng I woke up and they have taken 200 dollars out of my account. Just know when you sign up you can not do anything but write letter to cancel your membership. This is insane and this practice should be outlawed.

I’m extremely autistic and everyday I have to box. This lovely lady was hosting a class and asked me to move down to the last bag in which I did. She then started taking pictures of me and laughing. I told her about my condition and she said “ I do not care”.
This gym does not value mental health and neurodivergence. And this woman has ruined this experience for me. I hope that crunch keeps in mind that this is discrimination against someone with a medical condition.

Overall, this gym is a step up from its direct competitor, Planet Fitness, for basically the same price.

Unlike planet fitness which only has smith machines, there are real barbells with all the plates you would ever need for squatting and benching. They also have a way bigger range of dumbbells - up to ~120 lbs, whereas planet fitness only goes up to 75 lbs. Not to mention, there is way more equipment than what is offered at planet fitness including a glue ham raise and standing calf raise machine that I’ve missed using. The lines of benches, squat racks, cardio equipment, etc. is plenty to manage the crowd, which can't be said about overcrowded locations such as golds.

There is a minor inconvenience that won't matter to most people: there doesn't appear to be rubber coated handles on any machines or attachments. Personally, I sweat a lot when I work out so these types of attachments aid with my grip.

All-in-all, Crunch focuses on giving you the most gym for your buck and will easily accommodate intermediate and experienced lifters. However, based on my first experience of Crunch, planet fitness may provide a more comfortable and less intimidating environment for someone just starting out.

New to town, and we love Crunch Fitness. The music selection is great, and loud enough to hear. The gym cleaner takes his job seriously, and we appreciate that always.

This gym is crowded, but has enough equipment for everyone to share. Plenty of cardio machines, weights and benches. Staff and customers all seem friendly.

The HOT water has been out for at least three days. I’m surprised they can keep the gym open with the issue not resolved. However, they have had the plumbers there often attempting to resolve the situation. A little bit of an ick factor for me, but they are trying to fix it.

Overall, the gym fits our needs for now and when it doesn’t we walk across the street to their competition (planet fitness). They have really nice showers.

New memner here. I was sold at the childcare. I have 3 kids and my husband is a stay at home dad. I'm a Soldier and we both need to get back in shape. I'm 4 months post partum. I did a tour with a girl that was super welcoming. She clearly loves her job! The tour was so great that I wanted my husband to do one lol. The classes come with the membership 🙌. That's absolutely amazing. I've never seen that before. Usually it's a separate costs. This gum is too good to be true. Also childcare is for a maximum of 2 hours. That's enough time for me and my husband. I love the atmosphere. No complaints so far from me.

Working with trainer Michael has been an awesome experience. As an older adult with health concerns, I wasn't expecting to have improved my health so much in such a short period of time. I went to crunch and asked for a workout to work on explosive power with endurance and I got what I needed from one of their trainers. I don't know if all their trainers were this way but Michael went above and beyond for me. I had to go to Europe mid way through my coach sessions and crunch was more than accommodating. I was up front and open with them and got the same courtesy back. If you want a good work out for military I definitely recommend Michael. He will boost your strength in everything from ACFT to combatives.

Honestly this gym is always way too overcrowded, some of the people in the gym are rude. The weights aren’t put away properly most of the time it’s sometimes hard to find certain things. The staff are for the most part really nice but I’ve ran into one or two who I felt were rude. I’m starting to get to the point I want to cancel my membership there.

It's good enough for a first timer until you start to get more serious & realize there's much more machines that exist but this specific crunch doesn't have it.

On days it's not packed, it's almost so great but it gets packed most of the time where you have to plan extra time since you'll be waiting on a machine. (If you plan to go to another machine while you wait for the machine you want, there's a huge chance it'd also be taken.)

Yes there's dumbbells and other variations you can do but then there comes the space where you can't even do that cause it gets THAT packed.

Pros:
- has machines to do a different variation if they don't have the machine you're looking for
- always has enough treadmills or ellipticals available even on the packed days
- great motivating group classes
- childcare (which you have to book a day in advance cause it also gets packed)
- affordable
- locker room
-shower
- sauna
-decent restroom
- open 24hrs

Cons:
- way too much people most times
- lacks certain machines

ORIGINAL: Top quality equipment, large open space, music playing, and excellent staff. This checks off all boxes for what I was wanting and am very happy!

UPDATED: It is now 3 stars because I still love coming here and appreciate the vast amount of equipment, but the upkeep of this gym is awful. It has become much dirtier, multiple equipment and/or cables have been broken for many months, there are no handles, clips missing, etc.

I want this gym to get back to its original quality, but management seems to not care any less about it.

I’ve been going to the gym consistently since August 2023 and it’s been awesome. I had the opportunity to work with an amazing personal trainer David Owen and he helped me transform my life. He took away my fear of the gym and was able to give very tuned in personalized advice that I continue to stick to. So far I’m 80 pounds lighter, went from an 4XL to an XL and loving the process!

It’s the first truly “no judgement” gym in my experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, the gym itself is not crowded, there are a ton of cardio and regular machines so that you don’t have to stand in line for any one of them. The kids room is an awesome feature and also the reason why I chose this gym over others. Overall I am very happy to be a member here.

Edit: AGM still hasn’t contacted me back. Looks like any further requests will be furthered ignored. Owners response has nothing to do with my review. I live in a different city now and can’t just drop in.

Don’t try to cancel your membership over email. It will be repeatedly ignored. After several calls to the facility and several more ignored emails - they’ll finally respond to your request when they want to. They’ll still ignore any follow up emails that you attempt to send. This is to any of the managers as well as the Assistant General Manager (AGM) Rachel Yuroshek.

Managers contacted on the phone were also rude and unhelpful. When I asked what else could be done because my repeated emails were not responded to and ignored I was told that they had a system to follow and to just keep trying. The whole experience took way too long and shows the quality of the gym experience you’ll be receiving from the staff there.

This is a great facility and I really enjoy coming. My only complaint I have is that they have a guy that cleans the WOMENS bathroom/changing room. It made me feel super uncomfortable to go in there and use the sauna and this man proceeds to come in the sauna and lay on the floor to “vacuum under the benches “. It’s unprofessional and inappropriate.

I like that the gym is 24 hours. I also like that the classes they offer (spin and yoga). The thing that irritates, me the most is they're tons of pieces of equipment that are broken that haven't been fixed in months. Also, standing at the front desk being ignored while workers sit there with their headphones on. There is no cleanliness in the tanning rooms. Looks like they haven't been cleaned in years.

I used to LOVE going to Crunch. I had a membership until we moved across town. I went to Gold's for a while, but missed Crunch so much that I reactivated my membership this year. After joining, I found out childcare changed, which the management promised was temporary. Months later it still isn't fixed. It was next to impossible for me to attend a class due to that. I had to cancel my membership, because I could never get childcare. The drive one way is 40 minutes, for me. I would love it if Crunch would open a location near Exit 11 in Clarksville and fix the childcare.

Been coming here for a couple years. More recently there’s been a trend of broken equipment and the “system being down”. Staff member this morning not so polite in saying the system was down and couldn’t allow the purchasing of energy drinks. Couple minutes later he sold a water bottle to another member. Lack of training isn’t an excuse to say the system is down. Atleast be honest. There’s nothing wrong with not being fully trained it happens, but to lie about it or not do it because you didn’t feel like it isn’t really professional. Used to love this gym and slowly Ive started to back away.
