I love going to spin class, especially with Alexis. He is a fantastic instructor and is so much fun. The music is great and he keeps things challenging and interesting with high intensity and fun bike choreography. If you like to have fun but also to be challenged, i’d definitely recommend his classes.

The staff at Crunch were always nice, and I do like that they’ve updated their cancellation process so it can now be done online with an instant confirmation email—way better than before. That said, the cancellation policy itself is still garbage. Not sure if that’s a local issue or company-wide, but based on their BBB rating, I’m guessing the latter.

My main complaints:
1. My old card expired and I fell behind on payments—my fault—but the constant phone spam was excessive. A few texts would’ve been enough.
2. I signed up during a promo that included a 360 body scan, which I never got. The website for it never worked.
3. I booked a trial training session that the PT no-showed for, then weeks later got a message about a random appointment I never made.
4. When I tried to get copies of what I originally signed up for before officially canceling, I was told only a manager could access it but apparently managers aren’t around during normal hours when most people can actually call or stop by. Whoever I spoke with on the phone said I should call back when they’re in I suggested they reach out to me via email or text which they agreed to but they didn’t sound confident that I’d actually hear back from someone. After looking at the reviews and that phone call I decided it’s not worth the stress so I went ahead and canceled.

Overall, not the worst experience, but definitely not a good one. I’m not a fan of having my time wasted and I feel like I lost more than I gained, I’m not talking about the losses and gains you’d want to have while working with a gym. I’m just hoping no “mystery charges” show up now that my payment info is updated.

I had a terrible experience with this gym. I came in to cancel my membership because I was relocating. They made the cancellation process extremely difficult on purpose. The staff did not try to help at all and clearly did not care about my situation. Even after informing them I was moving, they continued to charge my account.

They then added extra fees and eventually sent the balance to collections. This was completely unnecessary and shows very poor management. It feels like they take advantage of people who try to cancel.

My only option now is to pursue this through the Tennessee legal process and connect with others who have experienced the same situation. I’m already taking steps to speak with people who were affected to see how many customers went through similar treatment at this location.

If you are thinking about joining, be careful. Canceling is not easy here. They will keep charging you, even when you are relocating, and they do not care. Very disappointing and stressful experience.

Crunch for me is a great gym. I’ve had memberships at 3 different gyms and Crunch is my favorite. You’re always greeted when walk through door as well saying goodbye. Crunch is the first gym that I’ve actually had a Personal Trainer. Q Fletcher was my Trainer when I started. She is knowledgeable, flexible, stern as well as patient. I have injuries and she catered my workouts around that. As she got promoted she very carefully moved me in to a very patient Zac Stutzman. I’ve been training for about 3 months and I plan to continue. Crunch for me is a happy clean environment.

Enjoyed my hydromassage for 7 days! Feels great! If you have Medicare find out if you're eligible for gym membership. My membership is free using my insurance, and I added a family member for 3.99 a month. They also have childcare available make sure you register 36 hours in advance. Koodles to management team Reagan, Elijah, and Kelly for explaining the Club policy about guests procedures to me one on one. Thanks!

had a pretty good experience at this gym until i got tired of forking out $400 a month for a very subpar personal training class. canceling my membership was also quite a hassle that took nearly 3 months to get settled, resulting in several charges being made to my account after i told the gym that i wanted to end my membership. great equipment but overall the customer service is very lacking and personal training is highly underwhelming.

Started a gym membership here only to find out it's advertised as a 24 hour gym and it's not. Talked to one of the managers about canceling and they processed the cancelation. Informed me that I wouldn't be charged further because I canceled it early enough in the month. Checked my bank today and saw that I got charged. I called crunch fitness and they said that what the other manager who i spoke to prior was wrong. They said that I didn't cancel my membership, and that there is a lack of training among staff in the store. But I was clearly told that my membership would be canceled and not charged further. When I pressed the issue that crunch fitness was at fault and needed to fix it, they just wanted to get me off the phone by saying someone would call me back. Instead I asked who the manager was so I could come in person to speak to them, and the manager on the phone seemed to be evading the question. I will never come here again. Don't let crunch fitness steal your money.

Terrible Cancellation Process

Crunch Fitness was fine while I was a member, but canceling was a nightmare. I went in at the end of July 2025 to cancel along with a final draft of $81.98, with confirmation I could use the gym through August. Since then, they’ve tried multiple times to withdraw more money and flooded me with automated calls.

When I called to sort it out, I was put on hold twice and spoke to two employees. One was polite but unhelpful, and the other just repeated that I came in to cancel—offering no clear info. They claimed I still owed 30 days of payments, even though I was told otherwise.

Poor documentation, untrained staff, and a frustrating experience.

Pretty good all around gym. Quite a few power racks so good for powerlifters. Dumbbells up to 120lbs. They dont care if you grunt or drop weights. Gallon jugs are allowed. Good machines - Nautilus and Hammer strength. Only wish they had another hip abductor/adductor and pec/rear delt fly machine as they are almost always occupied. Lots of cardio stuff if thats your thing. Also a HIIT area. Would recommend for most people

If I could go lower I would. Consistently out of sanitary wipes. The staff were unapproachable unless you're there to sign up. Heaven forbid you have to cancel. Dealing with my fiancée and I splitting was less of a headache and was a lot faster. Had to fight to get an email from staff which took their sweet time, which led you to another. And even then you had to provide an appropriate reason. Like. Me not wanting to have it is good enough. I shouldn't have to prove I'm moving somewhere that a crunch fitness isn't. Completely ruined me from commercial gyms. They dragged it out purposely enough to get my auto pay to go through before finally letting it happen. Greed is insane and they're all about it. Don't let the cheery vibe fool you.

Tried to cancel my membership, they made me come in. No manager was on duty so had to come back when they were. Cancelled back in February & thought everything was good, come to find out they’ve been charging me still for the last 7 months! Random charges multiple times a month. Called the front desk, was told to come back in, so I did and still - no manager on duty! So they couldn’t do anything about it. This gym is a scam. Basically once you get in a contract, you can’t get out. They’ll say “it’s a glitch in our system”. Y’all check your accounts. Over $300 unaccounted for in my end because of them. The GM Caitlin Wolfe & francesca raia even signed off on my cancellation document. Such a joke

Edit: I spoke with someone and was told to come in today. No manager there. Was told the GM will be in later. Called about it - put on hold, was told they were in a meeting & couldn’t talk (always excuses!). Finally demanded to speak to a manager and Francesca picked up. She was not only very rude, but ACKNOWLEDGED and STATED that they are aware that they are still charging people’s accounts even AFTER they have CANCELLED! Claiming it’s a “glitch” and they will only take care of it and refund you if you just so happen to catch it. They have no issues with continuing to charge people’s accounts even after cancelling. She said there’s multiple people going through this that aren’t even aware they’re still being charged.

Reported to BBB. I am not one to complain but this is such a scam and completely illegal to be taking unauthorized payments.

It’s a shame Crunch is such a nice facility with a lot of nice equipment and services, because the staff absolutely ruined the experience for us. They lied to us when we signed up by telling us we wouldn’t receive text message ads even though we did, they purposely complicate their sign up process to confuse you into the more expensive tiers, they disguise special offers and promotions and other ways to squeeze money out of you as free perks, and the trainer Antoinette continuously made my girlfriend severely uncomfortable by trying to harass her into agreeing to pay for a personal trainer program we didn’t want and continuing to try pushing it on us even after we gave her a clear hard no. We very much regret giving this gym a chance. I plan to return in a few days to cancel our membership, but I’m almost scared to go back because of our awful experiences. I’m really infuriated they took advantage of us.

One of the worst I've seen, when it comes to gyms trying to shove extra expenses down your throat. My partner and I specifically asked them not to do this, and instead they've been sending us texts. Not automated ones either. Some of the trainers are very pushy with trying to get you to hire them, and try to make you feel like you're not going to get anywhere without them. Stopped in to talk to someone about signing up. I had some questions about a duel account with my wife, and the kids crunch service. I walked in and there was no one at the desk. I stayed for 15mins as a courtesy (I get that gym front desk folks get busy on the floor) but no one ever showed up.

I can’t sign up for a membership if no one is there to help me. Sucks, it seems like a solid gym.

Canceled my membership in February. I went in to do so, as I assumed all gyms worked that way. They charged me again in June. I did the online forms a few times and nobody contacted me. I called and talked to the GM, Caitlin. She told me I should have received a form and made it seem like it was my fault. She saw I hadn't paid since January, but scolded me, despite her seeing I hadn't checked in for five months and hadn't had a payment processed in five months. I told her I walked in and canceled and she said I should have gotten a paper and that, "they don't do that anymore". She told me that I needed to do it online. Went to do that and it lead me to the forms I had already done, so I called back. The guy who answered went to get her and she didn't pick up the phone, but told him to tell me that "Canceling online starts today, so it might not work." What are you talking about? I guess I will be charged every $30 every month. She was so rude and made it my fault her employee didn't cancel when I went in. She also acted like she was doing me a favor by refunding me for June and July. Girl, I don't even live there anymore.

Not sure how to respond to the owners response so updating my review. My son used his own card but needed approval from my wife or myself to sign a contract, which we were not doing, and since he was a minor, they did not allow him into the actual gym, but they still charged his credit card for months. The only resolution would be full refund and change of policy.
Crunch Fitness Murfreesboro has a loophole which they are well aware of and will do nothing to close it. Signups are online, which means anyone could sign you up for a membership and they will take your money. They will not refund you. In our case my 15 yr old signed up online (a minor) and did not have permission from us, his parents, so they let him sign up and pay, but would not let him use the facility. So, you have to have adult approval to use the gym, but not for them to take a minors money, seams like a planned ignorance? After many calls from us for months they continued to not cancel his membership and took payment after payment from him without him ever stepping foot into the actual gym. We have even been there to cancel and they are still going to take more money. They are stealing from a minor in this case and "can do nothing about it"

Gym crowd here kinda sucks and equipment itself isn’t bad, but having one hack squat, one chest fly, and one hip abductor/adductor - all some of the most used equipment in the gym - should be criminal, especially with how busy and packed it gets here. But they for some reason have 5 different machines to do a preacher curl. Whoever was in charge of buying the equipment needs to be fired.

I canceled my membership back on February 7 Only to be charged again by them in the month of May for a monthly fee then after I went down there and talked to them, they said it was a mistake. The next day they charged me another $55 and they say It’s not their fault if the billing company and they don’t know when it’ll be fixed Be careful signing up with them. This is now the fifth time they have charged me something they weren’t supposed to. And unfortunately, they will just say it’s not their fault. It’s the billing company’s fault and they can’t do anything about that eventually, the billing company will fix it

I do not recommend this gym. I had a membership here and went to cancel due to a move. I went in to cancel and was able to "cancel". I was given a form with my final billing amount and told that I would have access until a certain date. I was charged more than my form stated I would be charged, and called for over a week with no call back. I finally went back to the gym, and she was in and blamed not calling me back on being out of town. She could not provide an answer as to why I was charged over the amount stated on my cancellation document. I asked for my account information to be removed since this was not presented as an option when cancelling, but was on the cancellation form. She said that my banking information was removed when I canceled my membership - this was wrong. I was charged 2 months later for my monthly membership fee after cancelling and being told my account information was removed. I do not recommend this gym. Once you cancel, check to make sure they are not charging you. My membership still says "active". I will be placing a "stop payment" through my bank, since I have gone in twice now and nothing has been resolved.

You know... sometimes, it's the little things that make a difference. And most of the time, this gym is great. But today, I just forgot to lock my car, I walked outside for about 5 seconds to click my key faub and had to rescan when I came in.

Now, that's not really a big deal. But, it just felt like the lady that told me I had to rescan in did it because she could. It felt like she told me what to do, not because I had to, or because I was doing something wrong. But that she saw the opportunity to tell me what to do, and she took it.

Some people might say that's a bit petty. And there's a reason I'm leaving four stars. It's because Crunch is great, and usually, my experience is awesome. But that was just kinda one of those things that made the difference between good, and great.

It's an okay gym. Pros: You can schedule classes 22 hours prior through App which is nice. Plenty of machines to use.
Cons: Some of my favorite classes are no longer available, If I book a 30 min class I want it to be 30 mins not 22. This has happened a bunch of times. Could be cleaner. If you cancel you have to see the manager and it's one monthly payment+ annual fee to do this.

The training staff at this Crunch has continued to take advantage of my Mother. By attempting to confuse her into signing agreements that extend her training plan on two occasions, poorly explaining their intentions, and failing to respond to phone calls and emails, they have degraded my trust in Crunch as an enterprise. Their blatant disregard for humanity has caused them to behave like a car dealership, prioritizing money over the customer. One of their employees told me over the phone their policy is to respond to emails within 24 hours. Their training manager has failed to do so. I’ve called on four occasions at differing times to speak with her about it and she is always “busy” (presumably trying to scam someone out of money) or not at work. I do not recommend going to this gym if you expect to not be treated like a dollar sign. The training staff shows no signs of integrity.

Don’t get a membership here. It’s IMPOSSIBLE to cancel a membership. Equipment is always broken, parking is horrible, never any mats available, workers peer pressure you into doing body scans, people filming constantly.

Was also told there are no fees and contracts but I have to pay for 2 months and an annual fee before I can cancel? Like $100+ to cancel…. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Go to PF. Atleast they’re honest about their fees / contracts. Was also told I could email someone and they never responded. Everyone that works here tells you something different.

Very hard to cancel. U have to go in person to cancel, only a manager can cancel. I’ve made several trips to attempt to cancel but a manager is never there to cancel when I go. Very inconvenient. Just a way to continue to get money from people.

Consistently had issues with communication here and being told different things from different team members about the policies. I was charged $50 for the annual fee after only going for a month (was not informed about this charge when I signed up) When I finally went to cancel it was because they unfroze my account a month early, I had to go back and forth with the employee about how it hadn’t been 3 months. He was kind but would not just cancel my account and I had to keep waiting for him to go back to talk to his manager (instead of them just coming to solve the problem themselves). I asked for a refund for the charge I did not authorize and he said he would send proof of the refund being processed… called two days later and they claimed they don’t have a way to send proof of refunds…? Literally never heard of a business not somehow having documentation or at least a track record for refunds. Literally asked if he could just tell me what card it was going to so I know they processed it. Overall just did not have a good experience here and not at all because of the gym itself but the employees were constantly sooo confused about their own policies…

If you're planning to stay in the area long-term, Crunch Fitness is a fantastic investment. However, be aware that life's unpredictability might come with a high cost if you need to cancel early. Been going to this gym for about 1.5 years and been enjoying it. They have great quality equipment and great resources for training and getting fit! Their body scan is in depth and a trainer will help you through your goals if you want it or need a plan to start. I don’t regret using my money for this. My only issue is that I feel like it’s not big enough due to the growth of people it’s had. I also wish it had more free-weight bench presses. Overall, very enjoyable and I feel like I’m getting my moneys worth.

This gym is great! I've been going for a few months now and got a personal trainer, Ian, when I joined. I had a lot of anxiety being in the gym, and having Ian help me workout and teach a gym newbie like me how to use equipment and craft a workout has helped me tremendously. I have had a lot of progress not only with my gym anxiety, but with my body as well. Ian makes the workouts fun and cares for his clients. The equipment is great and the group classes are fun too! Highly recommend attending Tuesday night Zumba with Alexis!

This place is a SCAM when it comes to billing. My wife's membership was cancelled, she has the reciept for the cancellation, and is still getting charged for a membership. And of course like every other scummy gym, the manager is never in. She went through this same headache when she cancelled her private trainer plan. Save your money and a headache and go to a gym that doesn't prioritize malicious behavior just to get more money out of you. She previously had a membership about a year ago and did not go through this trouble and did not get charged when she shouldn't have. Either train your people better so they know what to tell customers and how to do their job efficiently or have some dignity and take care of people.

Went to Crunch Fitness today and was waiting for a hydromassage bed. They have had 2 out of service for like 2 weeks. There was only 1 available so we ate waiting for both to be open. We were told 10 minutes. Well after we had waited over 5 minutes a gentlemen went walking back toward the hydromassage room. They had assigned the perm bed to him. Now we would be waiting at least 10 more minutes. They need to have a better system when someone is waiting. Not too happy when you pay extra for that perk.

I have been consistently disappointed by the lack of progress in transferring my gym membership from Nashville to Murfreesboro. Despite multiple promises of resolution since January 2024, my request has been repeatedly overlooked. I hope that this review will finally bring attention to my situation and prompt a solution to be made. During my time as a member of Crunch for three years, I feel i have unfortunately experienced discrimination based on my race in this situation. This was a new and disheartening experience for me, as I had never encountered racism before moving from Nashville to Murfreesboro in January 2024. Despite this negative experience, I have continued to be a member at Crunch and hope to see changes in their treatment of people of different races in the future. I used to hate this gym before the new manager took over. We’ve been to 30 + Crunch Fitness gyms and this one and the one we had to work out in San Antonio, Texas was the worst, however, this is one of our favorite gyms now! Later had to email proof that i moved in order to cancel the membership and they are still trying to charge my cards today. Obnoxiously loud and over-the-top music, even for a gym. Sure, I can wear my noise-cancelling headphones, but I prefer to be aware of my surroundings and approachable.

I almost always dread going into the locker room because it isn't well-maintained and is unusually small given the popularity of this gym (which any idiot can see just by looking at its full, sometimes overflowing, parking lot). I'd rather not change next to three random men multiple times a week with a proximity that would indicate the existence of a well-developed comradery between the four of us. Plus, that makes it harder to dodge the empty water bottle and wet paper towel on the ground. Now you come back after your workout and you go to wash your hands. Well, you have to maneuver through three people posing by the sink mirrors and taking up the whole area. Of course, they're not the problem; it's the fact that we don't have enough space to coexist without getting in each other's way.

My understanding is that this gym is relatively low-priced, which I suspect contributes to the disproportionate amount of young people I see here compared to the other two gyms I've patronized. I imagine this is a more subjective criticism than an objective one, but perhaps you wouldn't like it either.

This is a synopsis of what I have ultimately put up with for about seven months due to the total benefits outweighing the total costs, plus the lack of better competition in the area from what I can discern. But now I concede I must look elsewhere and step away from the Walmart of gyms. It's average at best.

I just moved here from North Carolina a month ago and this gym atmosphere is probably the best I have ever experienced. Caitlin the GM made my first day at the gym absolutely amazing and she introduced me to Mike who is one of the personal trainers there and they got me setup to do a kickoff to help me see my how my health was with a bodyscan and a quick workout for only $10. Mike was able to dive deep into my scan and show me where my body needed improvements and I signed up with him to be my trainer and help me lose weight. He then brought me back to Caitlin and told her how we were going to be working together to help me lose weight and put in muscle. Now everytime I come in she asks how my workouts are going and helps set my mindset for my workouts in a positive start to my day. Best gym by far. Would 1000% recommend to help get your fitness right.

The actual gym itself was lovely, but good luck trying to cancel!! I had to cancel my membership because I moved away. Haven't been to a Crunch in almost 4 months and yet they still try to withdraw money from my card every month! No one who ever answers the phone can help. I've sent multiple emails. They will just steal your money until you have to cancel the card and then threaten you with collections for not paying.

I tried to tan at the Murfreesboro location as I always do at other crunch locations, and at other tanning places. Management was rude to me and lied about Tennessee state law, saying that only the particular eyewear that they “conveniently” happen to sell is approved (thin flimsy translucent paper), and not my $200 polarized eyewear that’s approved literally everywhere else. When called him out on this he back pedaled and said it wasn’t state law, but the franchise owners rule. As a 10 year pilot both in the navy and civilian, I care about my eyes a lot and know that my protection is significantly better. Save your money and avoid being ridiculed/lied to, and go somewhere else for a workout.

The large bald janitor got in front of my treadmill and was trying to tell me something about closing time when it was like 8:30 pm. I ignored him because he’s just a janitor and can’t make me do anything and i didn’t want to talk to him. Also I was in the middle of working out with my earbuds on. He randomly walked up to the front of my treadmill getting in my space trying to interrupt my workout. He didn't say anything to anybody around me in their treadmills which makes things weird. honestly felt grossed out by him near my space and just wanted to report him for unprofessional behavior and I’m expecting something is done about it
