I had an amazing experience at Crunch Fitness White Station! Reggie, Kaitlyn (hope I spelled that right!), and Brian were incredibly helpful with switching my membership. This place is very shady. They tried to make me pay a yearly & monthly fee ($80) during the free trial before I even started the official membership. They didn’t have a manager there to cancel & tried to say they’d reimburse me later. The general manager, Seema, lied to me about a promotion that was never given. The personal trainer also canceled my session 2 hours prior AFTER I PAID & no one called. I was notified via email. These gyms will try to scam you. THEY WON’T EVER GET A SINGLE DIME FROM ME!

Not to mention the facility lacks basic equipment. If you like doing arms/back workouts & simply lifting, you might enjoy it. If you do anything else, especially core, they have little to nothing to offer. The equipment is also old & damaged to the point where it’s not conventional to use.

Also to mention, the manager interrupted the worker on my tour because she assumed he wasn’t doing a good job when he was doing just fine. Just to try to scam me by the end of the tour. Do better, Crunch, & hold your staff accountable.

Looks great on the outside, inviting decent pricing maybe a promotion to get you to sign up to something you think is cheap & affordable...
When I talked to someone at the desk I asked about a deal where you sign up for 1$ you get everything for 1 month but even if you cancel a few days before the next month you still pay for the next month...
They do this for yearly as well but it is for the whole cost of the year...
From the other reviews I have seen even being able to cancel at all is a hassle let alone being robbed on the way out the door...
Avoid this gym...

Management does not return phone calls. Lacks follow through with any communication and always noted to be “in meetings or out of the office.”

Staff is nice but at times misinformed on policies and management is unwilling to take any accountability for charges incurred due to misinformation.

I’ve been a member at Crunch White Station for over a year, and I’ve never experienced such unprofessional management. In March 2025, I was verbally harassed in the parking lot by a Crunch employee while he was on duty. I immediately reported it to the GM, Kevin, at the time, who confirmed the employee had prior issues and promised that my membership fees would be waived for six months.

Despite that promise, I’ve been charged every month since—including my annual fee—and follow-up with management have gone nowhere. Per the instructions of the Assistant GM, Brian, I sent formal email explaining the situation and the issue remains unresolved.

It’s disappointing that a company that promotes “No Judgments” and “Everyone Welcome” allows this type of behavior and lack of accountability.

Absolutely horrendous cancellation process. Please do yourself a favor by not signing up for this gym

If you do decide to sign up, read your contract carefully because what they outline in the contract will be exactly what you have to do to cancel. Also be prepared to pay an additional month after you cancel.

The problems you face in cancelling your membership are considered features by the gym. Don’t trust their promotions, they will get your money one way or another. Steer clear!

I’m a truck driver and parking is my first concern, no issues at this location. Showers hot but I wish they had a shelf or basket around shower head so you don’t have to put your stuff on the ground. I joined this Crunch location in January 2023 when I lived nearby. Over time, I saw a lot of employee and management turnover and honestly never felt good about the vibe there, but I kept my membership because of convenience.

In May 2025, before my next billing date, I spoke directly with Seema (the current manager) and told her I was moving out of state. She assured me my membership would be canceled and confirmed I was covered until June 15th. My last visit was June 5th before I moved to Florida.

Unfortunately, I kept getting billed for months after—even though I wasn’t using the gym at all. When I tried to resolve it at Crunch locations in Florida, they told me they didn’t have access to my membership details. I called back multiple times and left messages for Seema, but never got a call back.

Today, Derrick finally canceled my membership, but he was very rude about it. I also asked to speak to Seema or the district manager because I had already paid for services that I had been told were canceled.

Overall, very disappointing experience. I expected better communication and accountability, especially after being reassured my membership was taken care of.

I love the crunch in Memphis on White Station road. We haven’t worked out in a long time and the GM Seema was so helpful in getting our membership re-started. The staff is very helpful and respectful. Assistant manager Brian is also knowledgeable if you have any questions.

Apparently your guests have a certain amount of visits that they are allowed to come with you before they are either forced to buy a $10 day pass or get a membership. This was not explained when I signed up for my membership nor was there any mention of this in the contract. I mainly have the membership so that I can workout with my pregnant wife but after today we will no longer be allowed to workout together unless she pays for the day pass or signs up which defeats the purpose of having a membership type that advertises that you can bring a guest. The trainer with the backwards hat watches you more than his own clients, constant break ins with glass all over the parking lot, literal blood on the punching bags which lets me know that it’s NOT as clean as advertised even though they are fully staffed, and the locker room toilets are a MESS. This CANNOT be what I’m paying $35 a month for. Great equipment and the front desk staff are cool just not my ideal workout environment.

The gym is behind on machines. The group fitness room is dirty. They do not let individuals use the weights and mats unlike other gyms and they can only be used for group exercise. The do not have a sit down squat machine and the far back turf stay dirty. Other than that one manager was super cool and provided me with a 7 day pass due to me here on a visit. All other staff are rude and unprofessional.

Good gym with friendly staff. Have never had a negative interaction with another patron, either. Tons of free weights everywhere so it’s not hard to find the weight set you want, even at peak hours. I come in the evening after work on weekdays and can get through my workout in good time, so busyness doesn’t take away from my experience while I’m here (unless you’re looking for a quieter, less populated gym). Sometimes a few of the weight machines are out of order for a little too long, but other than that I enjoy going here.

You can NEVER get a parking spot. I paid the TOP TIER amount for me to NOT have a contract yet here we are. Trying for two months to cancel it but they refuse to stop trying to draft. They want me to jump through hoops to cancel a membership that is NO CONTRACT. Read the fine print. This is insane. I literally moved to a completely different gym and I'm still paying for this one. Moving to block my account now because I don't have time to go to a gym out of my way that takes me 20 minutes to find a place to park because they over-sold memberships with no space.

The treadmills get 500 TV’s (all set on like 3 different channels between them all) and the people actually lifting get like 5 and they’re all on Crunch ad screens (99% of us are already members) and one on ESPN 2 (we want normal ESPN). Give us what we want to watch. Why does cardio have 500 tv’s and the people actually lifting get 5 and they’re basically all ad screens?

Not to mention half the lights and tv’s in the gym are out after the power outage that happened like two weeks ago. Why haven’t they been fixed yet?

Came in on Tuesday, June 17th at 10am to cancel my membership.

First young man I spoke to told me to sign a "Cancellation request form" and told me I was set. I asked if it would be cancelled today and he said no. I asked to speak to someone that could cancel my membership today and he went and grabbed a young black woman.

The woman then asked me what the problem was. I told her I just wanted to cancel my membership. She said "Why?" I said no reason I just wanted it cancelled. She had me scan my tag, clicked 3 buttons and said it was canceled.

Today, June 18th at 6:30pm, I brought my boyfriend in so he could cancel his membership as well. A man named Kyle was easy going and went through the entire process very quickly. He did a lot more steps than I went through so I asked him if I could scan my code to check and see if my membership got canceled. He scanned it and told me it hadn't. I explained to him that I was just here the day before and the young lady told me it was canceled. He apologized and walked me through to getting my membership actually cancelled.

This gym is packed at all times of day. There are car break ins at all times of day, no matter the car. The place is disgusting and the workers are rude.

Great place to work out, variety of machines, weights and exercises to do! Including different dance and workout classes and masage beds I think. There are women's and men's locker rooms with showers, lockers and benches and they keep it pretty clean everyday

I’ve been calling to try to cancel my membership with them since February. They have this stupid rule that you can only cancel your membership in person without even considering the fact that some people probably literally can’t due to multiple factors: not living in the same area or even being hurt God forbid. If i could physically go up there and cancel my membership I would just so I wouldn’t have to communicate with these disrespectful people anymore. I was told to email the general manager in Feb to cancel my membership. I was under the impression that the membership was canceled until I checked my bank transactions at the end of April just to find out that they had charged me for March and April STILL. i’ve been calling them since 04/30/2025 and i keep getting told that there isn’t a manager available for me to speak with. I was also told twice that they would leave a message for the manager to get back with me but both times before i could even finish my message they cut me off so i’m pretty sure they never even wrote anything down. I called again today just to be placed on hold for 10 minutes and still be told there isn’t a manager available. I was told by a worker that they would get me an assistant manager instead and the so called assistant manager that picked up the call told me that there wasn’t anyone for me to speak with and I asked what his position was and he told me verbatim “crunch fitness position” and hung up in my face. The staff here is very ignorant and rude and whoever hung up in my face should be fired, they clearly don’t know how to work in customer service. The gym is probably great as a standalone but the staff is terrible. I would give negative stars if i could.

This is regarding the behavior of the mgr Seema …. I get discriminated and targeted today I have been a member at crunch for 2 1/2 years and never had this issue. I have a model team of ladies they have there own memberships .I was told the policy was no training in the gym … I completely understand around 11 am this morning she approached me saying she like what I’m doing she likes how I look… I look amazing I clearly know what I’m doing then proceeded to bribe me with a job and benefits telling me that I can work for crunch and they can sign up to there trainers … I work out with these ladies I’m It standing around like the trainers there do. We go in rotation and we all record each other . She constantly kept accusing me of training in the gym . I don’t block off areas or anything of that nature we take turns . How am I getting accused of training and they have there own accounts just because we meet up there together.she also stated if I don’t want to work at crunch then I can’t workout with my friends Even if they have a membership. Mind you I pay for the buddy pass to bring one person for free today I had my mom with me . She proceeded to tell and say what did I tell you earlier and it went left the she told me that I couldn’t use my buddy pass to bring in another person .Even though I pay for it. And I dont see what that has to do with my friends who have your own account.She also stated that members can’t workout together.My mom stated she would just get a membership she proceeded to raise her voice at my mom got in her face. Another employee showed me in a group chat where she said watch out for me training in the gym so I have to work out and constantly be watched that’s uncomfortable and I feel like that putting a target on my back. And because I denied the request to work for crunch She tried to accuse me of training as retaliation to band me from the gym. Mind you out of the 3 friends I work out with on the regular I’ve had 18 people sign up. I like crunch and I want to continue to go there it’s beneficial for where I live and all but if this can’t resolved I’ll find another gym to call my second home it’s been 3 years and I haven’t experienced this type of treatment.

As a member for over two years I've always enjoyed the atmosphere and the equipment as well as the fact that they do a good job of keeping the place clean. Unfortunately a few months ago I became involved in a billing dispute which was caused by mistake on the part of Crunch. Although the regional manager did a pretty good job of getting on this it seemed to have gotten bogged down on the local level at Crunch White Station. After quite a few months of feeling ignored, I feel extremely lucky that a new GM took over and even though she had only been the GM for about a week, she managed to get the situation resolved in a few days. Thank you very much Seema. Crunch is very lucky to have someone like you running their facility.

I have been a member of this gym for almost 2 years. It is clean, well maintained, and it is truly fun. (This comes from a woman who HATES to exercise!!). I LOVE my personal trainer, Javier, who has helped keep me out of the debilitating pain I experienced. And his knowledge, expertise and sense of humor keep me coming back for every session.
The staff, from the cleaning crew to the front desk crew to the personal trainers to management, are outstanding - personable, professional, competent and helpful. It is obvious that Semma takes good care of her employees, because they take really good care of their customers. She treats people daily and is quick to resolve any issues.
You won’t be disappointed if you join this gym - and the rates are very reasonable.

The staff recently has been terrible, they tell us and expect us to rerack our weights when the trainers just leave the weights there. The manager was screaming in the middle of the gym and interrupted my set saying you better rerack the weights or if not she would cancel your membership and roll the camera backs to check who doesn’t put their weights back. Another time about a week later one of the workers told me to rack my weights when I was still using the machine. The trainers have no idea what they’re talking about doing 15+ reps sometimes even above 20, you’re literally better off taking advice from any random source on the internet. The staff recently have been saying lots of passive aggressive comments. One of the staff members got mad when I was using the sink to wash my hands after they cleaned it like it’s not meant to be used and I didn’t even make a mess at all.

I've been coming to this gym since the opening. I have noticed a strong decline in the management and staff. The staff complain about having to clean up the bathrooms. There is also major complaints from the staff about members not re-racking the weights. I have seen staff/trainers here not re-rack the weights but management has nothing to say to their staff about this issue. The staff working the reception has also become extremely unfriendly and rude.

Sauna- is there anything you all can do about the sauna. The women have no etiquette if there is 4 ppl in there why do they keep coming in? I sat in sauna 20 mins and didn’t break a sweat because oack inside it. Please consider putting a sign or something that 4 at a time. The gym was extremely crowded. Couldn’t work out in peace.

Cool gym. Employees are never able to answer questions. When you get a job ask questions so you will be knowledgeable. Child care is limited. Not enough treadmills, bikes etc. majority of the gym is weights. When asked about class schedules no one can tell me the times. I’m going back to Esporta unfortunately. My brother has cancelled the service long time ago and still they asking him to pay the membership fee and send a notice from debt collector. I had a very disappointing experience at Crunch Fitness on White Station Rd in Memphis, TN. The cleanliness of the facility was unacceptable. Trash was scattered throughout the center, but the worst part was the condition of the restrooms – they were disgusting. Despite texting the cleanup number posted in the restroom, one and a half hours later no one came to attend to the mess. This is completely unacceptable for a fitness center, and I expected much better. Very disappointed.

Update (again) they do their best to maintain this gym and keep it clean. My main complaint has nothing to do with the gym, but the clientele. People will sit on machines for 30+ minutes or a mob of 6 people will dominate a machine for long periods of time. Lots of inexperienced people who lack gym etiquette. Oh and women will bring toddlers. I thought there were no children allowed here, but there have been screaming, pantless children in the locker room. I didn’t join a rec center for a reason - I don’t want to watch little Timmy learn to pee with the bathroom door open. Nor do I want little Timmy in the locker room staring at me while I change.

Update - Finally fixed the hip thruster strap after 1.5 months of it being broken.

Hip thrust machine has been broken for a month.

People who go to this gym, and the employees, cannot keep the sauna doors shut. People will have complete conversations with door wide open or will hold the door wide open while checking things like their phone or the sauna temp. SHUT THE DOOR PLEASE.

If you sign up for a membership here don’t expect to be able to leave. I worked out at this gym for two months. First month was a free trial, paid for the second month then moved away. I called to cancel I was told my membership was cancelled just to find out they sent my account to collections? I called once I found out and was told I do not in fact have an open account with Crunch. I never did any personal training, used any special amenities. I would come in use a few machines and leave so I’m confused as to why they sent my account to collections? Don’t get a membership here

I joined crunch fitness because the brand is well known for having a wide variety of classes. Yeah thar hasn't happened for the 2 years this location has been open. No 6 am group classes at all.

2 stars for the good selection of weights and machines.

WAY oversold for the size of the gym. I asked at the front desk how many memberships had been sold for this one location and the guy said over 10,000.

Always crowded. Hard to find parking. And the EMPLOYEES park in the fire line and WILL NOT move their vehicles when asked.

This gym could be so much better. I love my trainer and the staff are very nice. However, there is a serious lack of cleanliness. The main workout areas are generally fine, but the men's room has been filthy ever since I started going. I don't think the urinals in the men's room have ever been properly scrubbed, one of which always has standing urine in it. Also, it takes a long time for a broken piece of equipment to be fixed. They have only two glute drive machines and one has been broken for at least a month. This makes it extremely inconvenient during busy times. Multiple TVs in front of the treadmills/ellipticals have no signal and are just a black screen with error message.

The only thing that is good about this gym are the machines. I hate this gym. November 2023 my car was broken into, i tried to call the manager that is over crunch fitness but she was not available or responsive. If you want a peaceful workout where you are able to get through your sets without being interrupted. DO NOT JOIN CRUNCH FITNESS. My workout time is longer because I'm always being bothered by other gym members. Or I’m waiting for another machine. I honestly believe the fire Marshall should be called because I’ve never seen so many people in one place, at one time. This gym is always full to capacity. The bathrooms are always dirty and it smells. DO NOT leave your current gym for crunch fitness, DONT DO IT. The yearly annual fee is $80. I’ve never had an annual fee that cost that much. This isn’t a luxury gym at all. Joining crunch fitness is one of my biggest regrets. If zero stars were an option i would rate it a zero.

Pretty chill for a gym. The ladies bathroom needs attention too often. Great equipment. Kind employees. There is a nice young man( Kaleb) that cleans up and he is super helpful. He is a high school student. I gave it 4 stars because of the ladies bathroom. Nevertheless I really like the place.

The place is too small for how many people it attracts. I do like the equipment that I know how to use, but it's so busy that you have to rotate sets with random people. I gave two stars for the type of equipment is great and the look of the place is good but everything else will give you anxiety.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt like I had to. Crunch is a very deceitful gym. I originally spoke to a woman to start with a basic membership plan. The woman (without my knowledge) decided to upgrade my plan and charge me 32 dollars extra a month without my consent. When I try to speak with senior management, I’m told that there’s nothing they can do and I have “memory loss” or can’t recall upgrading. I’m beyond livid, and the customer service to help me resolve the issue was rude and disrespectful. I work in customer service, and I try to be understanding. However this encounter was disrespectful.

Update: They will literally keep charging after they said the “canceled” the account. I’m truly fed up with this business. Just know they will continue to scam you after you try to be civil.

Norm! Every time I walk in the gym I feel like I’m walking in to my favorite bar. Caitlin and her team always make me feel welcomed by yelling ‘hey Shelly’ when I get there. Even days I don’t want to be there, I get my favorite greeting which cheers me up and even throughout my workout, everyone is so friendly, Nevermind my awesome trainer, Wes, I’m paying him, 😜 but always a great workout and he’s so motivational and a great cheerleader. 5 gyms, 10 diets, 3 trainers, I think I found home. Great gym, monthly price, employees & management! Everyone is welcoming & Caitlyn runs a tight ship. Equipment issues are quickly addressed, trainers are helpful, classes and other amenities are first class. Highly recommend joining if you’re looking for a home gym in East Memphis.

Since joining crunch , I have been treated as family and have been offered some of the most life changing activities I could ever ask for , from the kickoff to the Zumba and not to mention the child care they offer at kids crunch . I’m very appreciative to join a gym where not only are the workers and bosses are very supportive but their also informative and that is the core of my progress and I love you guys for it

A pain to cancel a membership. I sent a 30day notice letter certified mail to the location and nothing.From still being charged even though Kaitlin the manager lied to me via email telling me I could cancel online even though I moved out of state. I have the email for proof. I called after couple months thinking it has been cancelled like she said. Only to find out I’m still an active . Kaitlin told me she couldn’t do it after all . Why is it such a hassle?

Love love love this place… my only problem is I’ve literally been coughing my every visit my cough doesn’t start until i start my workouts a continues even after I’ve made it home…. I wish they would disinfect the entire building because that isn’t safe or healthy… something is wrong

This is a great clean location, but as far as the employees, there is one in particular who is very forceful to get you to sign up for extra services. I have left this location 3 times when this particular employee is there because he will not just let me be and work out. I will not be returning to this location often as I do not want to risk being harassed by this particular employee. I may end up canceling my membership and taking my $ elsewhere.

I moved to Dallas, kept charging me because of the annual agreement
I called 3 months before the agreement ends
Someone told me that everything is good and membership will be cancelled once the year ends
Now they are charging me two more payments because I have to be in person to cancel or show proof of moving to another location
The manager doesn’t reply back to the email
Called 5 time until they finally cancelled after paying extra 2 payments.

Absolute horrible person behind the desk. Myia was rude and vindictive...arbitrarily changing policies and then "annotating issues" on the customer profile to assert her authority. Inconsistencies with staff enforcement of policies was made out to be "our problem" thus labeling the customer as the problem. When challenged about it she started ranting and raving at the customer. Then, when the customer left, she was unprofessionally mocking the customer. She needs to be retrained or removed.

Waited 30 minutes to cancel my membership because “only a manger can close an account” after 30 minutes employee told me to send an email as that will cancel the account. Manager responds to my email that I actually have to come in person to cancel and that they require 30 days of notice so I am on the hook for an extra month. Overall terrible customer service with no one taking responsibility for making it as hard as possible to cancel. I would never sign up for Crunch again as they made it so hard to cancel.

Great for people who want to lift weights but if you're going for cardio, don't. A third of the treadmills were down and a few of the other cardio machines. It was really busy, so people were waiting to use cardio machines.

Awful staff and operations. I’ve been struggling to get assistance with my membership but the manager is never at work to help. I’ve left messages, filled out forms, still nothing. Facilities are great, but the way they treat members when they need help is distasteful. 0 out of 0.

Dwayne is an absolute asset to this gym. I have thought about leaving Crunch many times for gyms closer to home, and if it wasn’t for Dwayne, I probably would’ve done so by now. Second to none customer service and always cleaning up or doing something productive to improve the quality of the gym. Like I said, absolute asset.
