DO NOT give your credit card to D1! They overcharged us (I believe purposely - see remaining for explanation).
The local manager, Jonathan Ladd, continuously lies about issuing credits. My intuition is that Jonathan is given an incentive such as a bonus or commission from corporate and relies on people not tracking the exact costs of what they should be paying. We are still owed money from months ago and when we approach Jonathan about it, we receive a very unprofessional snarky repose that he is “AS I TOLD YOU, I’m going to do it but it takes time” which is an outright lie because it has been over a month and he has issued some but not all credits that he admits is owed to us.
Again, I believe he is playing this game to pad his numbers on other people’s expense which is stealing and goes against their contract with their credit card processor.
It’s a shame because the program and the facility is great but Jonathan brings an awful stain on the organization.

Called left message without a call back. Called again and get a half assed explanation of their programs and wouldn’t reveal any pricing (frankly, I wanted my son involved and didn’t care about the price, just wanted the ballpark of what to expect). Left it off they’d text me to schedule a time for my son to come. Never heard from them again. Seems like someone is running the business owners business / investment in the ground. Please let me know when you want out of your lease. I’d love to put an indoor pickleball facility in your space.

Customer service is nonexistent. Don’t let the five star reviews fool you. They work reviews into their challenges, Stay far away from this company. GM is to busy to deal with issues if they may come up. The admin is very unorganized because the GM Mischak Potter Rivera is working in Texas and will not return calls, Text or e-mails.This is all on the GM Mischak.
Mischack is a deal breaker for me. They owe me money and will not call me back. Unbelievable! I’ve also reached out to other D1 representatives, and no one will call me back. Do not trust this company.
Update:
I Have started a dispute through my credit card company. So far so good. It’s finally over. Got all my money back with no help from D1.
What an awful experience! Never again! Stay away!
Run! Don’t do it!

Not bad. Solid workouts. Great facility. But I agree that the "team" aspect is lacking; unless you're a part of their hardcore group of jocks. Customer service also nonexistent. If you're self-motivated, this is for you. If you want community and group motivation, try somewhere else first.

Very disappointed with Richard Collin ,Director of franchise development, communications skills.
I do not see him being body and soul nor costumer service in presenting/representing properly D1 training. Long story short he’s to busy to properly look for interested people in this franchise. He is available only ones a week and cannot fallow properly the appointments. Either he’s overworked and D1 doesn’t have enough people or he is not good to fallow up. If anyone would like to rebuild the comunicate w me I am open. But definitely I need another guy to get in touch with me.

**Update**
Here I am 3 months later still working to track down my money!
Incredibly unorganized group here. Backing up my point on the misinformation that was communicated to me, which ultimately resulted in them making their case to not refund me, this same individual argued with me over the phone that she would have never said such a thing. I mean really?! To what gain do I have in lying?
Very sour taste left by this gym. All I want is my money back after I followed all that was requested of me.
**Update**
Following the conclusion of my 6 Week Challenge, I have been promised options and pricing to continue w/ D1 on now (3) different occasions, to no avail.
I'm also learning there is not much transparency in how to receive back your initial deposit. On a few occasions, I was given misinformation that factored into their decision on whether to refund my deposit. It's now been the same amount of time and I have yet to receive information on my refund eligibility. Crossing my fingers this situation changes soon.
--
Incredibly pleased with the results seen from completing my 6 Week Challenge… and that comes after attending 3-4 times per week, and paying just slightly more attention to what does in my body.
5 Stars for Mika and Santi - Huge props to Amanda for helping uncover ways to win with my diet too! Highly recommend giving them a try!

Elitist gym. Don’t waste your time or money. Snob trainers, don’t make you feel welcome. Are only there to profit off you, not to make you better. One positive, the facility and equipment is solid. Regardless it was an awful experience

D1 is the best program or challenge I have every done. I didn’t dread going in 3 times a week like I have with other programs that expect you Lose A certain amount Of white per week to equal a total amount at the end of the challenge. Give you This strict diet you expect to go by. It’s very stressful. At D1 They just want to show three times a week do your best to give you the like a plan for meal plan with the follow how to follow with your macros it do your best and just keep encouraging you. There’s a midway check in to see how you’re going to see if you have any questions, also the weekly kind of form that you fill out to show your progress after your body scans. But it’s nothing stressful about it. And I love it. If it were closer to my house I would do it every day but I have a part-time job so I can’t make it every day. And I have a knee I need to get looked at so I can continue my workouts and continue doing better about my health. I highly highly recommend you want if you’re serious about your fitness goals and changing how do you think you feel about your body.

The D1 Six Week Challenge was great! The trainers are all top notch and so knowledgeable. They welcome everyone into the program with such enthusiasm. The program is challenging but quickly familiar and always adaptable to your level of experience and or injuries. I have worked out/played sports for most all my life and have realized increasing results. The only reason they didn’t get a perfect 5 stars is because of some admin hiccups I experienced with receiving regular texts about the weekly check ins and submitting your info. That whole process was a bit unclear as to how those check ins needed to occur. But a minor fix. I am continuing my membership and love it! I also got my daughter involved with the Challenge in the first week and she quickly dialed in! Great mother daughter activity. Highly recommend! *****

I lost just over 10 pounds during the 6 week challenge. D1 helped me achieve my goals of losing the extra weight I had gained since 2020. I signed up for the 6 week challenge and it was exactly what I was looking for. Tough, motivating, and high energy. I especially loved the 50yds of astro turf and the ability to run on the grass. Thank you D1 for providing a fun and new experience for me as I go along this journey of health for 2023. 1.2.3 D1!!!

Just finished the 6 weeks training program and I have to say it was a great experience. I was certainly intimidated at first but the trainers made me feel comfortable right from the start. I haven't done weight training in years so it wasn't easy. But it's not supposed to be, right? Having the In-Body Scans was encouraging as I watched my body change over the 6 weeks trial. I would definitely recommend D1 to kick-start your fitness.

I signed up for two-week promotion offering training trail for my son. However, my schedule doesn't work with their available slots for the age group. Even though, we never could go there, D1 charged my credit card 4 times before I saw statement. when I called about this they said because I took the free spot, they can charge me for the membership, and I have to come in person to cancel membership. What a rip-off place is this? They said its their policy and if I don't go there in person, they will continue to charge my card. Make sure to read all those fine lines they hide from their promotions. When I ask the name of the person whom I am talking to over the phone, he said he can't give out his name. Why not give out name? When you have nothing to hide, not ripping customer, then why not giving out name? Guess what D1 Franklin, you guys just lost a client who may have come there if schedule align in future. I would not recommend this place. if they act like this before you go there, I am not sure what else they will pull out of their policy bag.

I cancelled my 2 kids memberships in wrighting, in the office, in person,in July. I was aware of the 30 day cancellation notice so I was expecting for them to take August payments. But then it’s December and they are still charging me. Canceling my card in November didn’t work they were still able to take the money. When you call their phone no one answers and after a while on the line the call automatically disconnects. I went into the office and they say the person I need to speak with is not there. I feel like this is a dishonest practice. Because of this I do not recommend them. Beware.

You get what you pay for! If you are in a place financially where you can really invest in your health this is a great fit. You WILL see results if you show up. At a normal gym it’s easy to not go your hardest or go in without a plan for your workout. The coaches here push you and coach you to be your best and do the workouts correctly. Great experience overall. Shout out to Mika and Santiago for being great trainers.

I joined D1 five weeks ago. A few years ago I had a heart attack and I was ready to get healthier through exercise.
D1 has provided the avenue to accomplish my goals. I’m feeling much better and my physical stamina is increasing each day.
One of the other clients told me about the D1 addiction. And she was right. If I don’t go and let the coaches drive me to being better and stronger, I do feel withdrawals from the lack of activity.
The class times are easy to work into my schedule. I’m retired and enjoy not getting out of the house too early. The 9:30am class is perfect.
I’m still the last one to complete the circuits but I don’t care. It’s not a competition but a personal desire to improve.
Thanks D1 for providing me the guidance to a better physical and mental lifestyle.

I joined D1 Cool Springs for a six week challenge and wanted to share my experience.
TLDR: It is hard work but is was worth it!
At first it was super intimidating to walk into a gym with a weight room and other folks that knew what they were doing. It took me a couple weeks to get over that. In hindsight, I don’t think it mattered.
While In the gym, Santi and Mika were there everyday to teach me either through modified forms that worked for me or to push me cause goodness knows, sometimes I need it.
As the weeks moved on, I grew stronger and getting my body moving and training definitely made a difference! My clothes fit better, I’m not as winded going up stairs, and ironically, I have more energy.
If you don’t know where to start your journey to getting stronger and fitter, I say, start here.
Do the workouts, learn about eating better, be more attuned to your body.. it’s hard work but worth it.

I just finished the 6week challenge at D1 and it was great! I loved Mika and Santi- they truly make the workouts so much better. They are genuine and care about your goals which I loved. They are also just awesome knowledgeable people in general, so it was nice having them around to guide us. I was a competitive cheerleader when I was younger, so I loved the sports/coach style tough love. I lost 3% body fat in the six weeks and I didn’t change much of my diet. For reference, I used to do another popular gym around here and I only lost 1% body fat in 8 weeks there. Overall, I loved my experience with the coaches, workouts and facility at D1! The 6 week challenge is a great way to get your foot in the door, but there is a deposit that you have to pay IF you do not finish the challenge in it’s entirety. Communication was occasionally hard with the challenge and some of the things that were required weren’t always completely clear. I would do this again in a heartbeat though!

D1 fraudulently misrepresented their contract and refuses to refund me. I have chronic knee issues but agreed to the 6 week challenge because a D1 employee assured me I would be fully refunded the $700 if my knee issues acted up. My knee issue started to flare a few weeks in and I needed to listen to my body and stop the challenge.
I called, texted, and emailed for a refund for weeks but kept getting the runaround. My fiancé who was continuing the challenge kept hearing from staff that someone would be reaching out for the refund. I then emailed the manager and he said they were struggling to find documentation showing this. I still have not received my refund and am planning to file with consumer affairs for fraudulent misrepresentation. For a business with "integrity" and "accountability" all over the walls, you think they would be true to their word.. I do NOT recommend D1.

I did the D1 28-day shred challenge because I was tired of making excuses to not start my fitness journey. I had googled many local gyms and D1 was the only one that felt different. I loved the variety of workouts and never got bored. The coaches were amazing and encouraged everyone in the class to push themselves, but also never hesitated to give modifications if I was struggling. I signed up for the D1 6 week challenge, as I saw it on my Facebook ad and it said it was free. I will say yes it is FREE, however there is a commitment with the challenge which is a security deposit that you will only receive back if you stick to the challenge 100 percent. Let me tell you, DO IT!! First of all what I love about D1 is FAMILY: the coaches, staff and fellow work out buddies we all come together and it just feels like family ( I brought my mom to take a class with me and they were supportive and welcoming). Second, I learned some new workout methods that I now take home with me and can use, thirdly; the coaches they care they were motivating and encouraging they are very engaged. Lastly, what is GREAT is they focus on MY GOAL and not their agenda. They focus on the whole health and being as a person and in this challenge they also provide a nutritionist.
Thank you D1! I am super grateful for you and your support! I am beyond blessed and filled for joining your family.
P.S. My goal was overall health; gain energy, build healthy habit, make some friends and socialize (since I recently moved out of state) and learn exercises that I can incorporate at home on my own time.
I did gain weight; I gained weight through muscle mass. My body is tighter however I am the same size. My goals were accomplished as well! Thank you again.

I signed up for this boot camp type training 6 weeks challenge and at first it was intimidating bc it looked like almost everyone were fit. The instructors were very fit too. However the instructors helped by adjusting my workout routine so I won’t injure myself. They are also very positive and encouraging. The space is huge so it’s good for people who want their space. Lots of sweaty people at the end of the day. 65% men to women so can be intimidating to people who hasn’t worked out for years. The hours are good for people who want to workout early and in mornings. Not much afternoon workouts though.

My 6-week challenge experience:
Likes: workouts are challenging, clean facility, easy access, showers on-site, quality coaches (Mika & Santiago), unlimited class sizes (I didn’t have to worry about signing up before arriving). I really enjoyed both coaches; they knew when to push me and when to leave me alone. I appreciated their willingness to allow me to modify (or suggest a modification) when my back/knee/wrist pain fired up.
Room to improve: properly named yoga poses ie coach says “cobra” but everyone is doing “up-dog”. Down dog should be avoided when heart rate is too high. A healthier transition suggestion is (when heart rate is high) go to child’s pose first for a few breaths then go to down dog.
Music needs to be monitored for explicit lyrics, especially when children are present. Ie Lyrical content heard was glorifying drug use (“lightening”, “bags up my ass”, “won’t land for 13hours”) kids were about to begin a session when that song played. Need to set a better example for our community, adults and children alike.
I am not familiar with the acronyms used during instruction, for example EMOM/AMRAP, and whistle use (by coaches) was usually confusing (start? stop? keep going? switch?)
Dislikes: Too many people at times; class size too big. Black rubber pebbles from the turf are obnoxious; stick to my body and are scattered in my car and house. 12 straight minutes of anaerobic activity is not for everyone and felt like it stressed my adrenal system and can have adverse effects on the body. I avoided being paired up; 1. my cadence is slow and steady, endurance is my strength and keeps my injuries in check. 2.being a beginner, everyone was at a much higher fitness level, than I was. (I don’t want to hold others back when I am the weaker link and therefore prefer solo exercises).
I made three requests (one per week for the first three weeks) for the nutritionist to contact me, the third time asking for his/her number so I could reach out but was told they’d contact me and never did. My fourth check-in regarding the nutritionist came at week #4; Megan assured me I would not be held responsible for their lack of follow through on my program.
Must be self-motivated, which fortunately I am, but for others looking for support during the challenge, there isn’t any. (No follow-up from anyone to see how my challenge is progressing). I did receive this email from Madalyn about how it’s going on day 38 of my 40 day program. I’ve never met her in person (that I am aware of) and have no background on who she is or her role at D1.
I received a marketing email for a free core-building guide but the link takes me to an “exclusive member login” which doesn’t recognize my email or give me the option to register.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience at D1. It is a great summertime facility but it will be too cold for me during winter. My physical progress over 6 weeks, using my own nutritional guidance, was -6.4lbs fat, +0.2lbs muscle, -2.9% body fat.

The classes have made workouts fun again. The coaches are so knowledgeable, have taught me proper form, worked around my injuries, and I now have a whole arsenal of new exercises for every muscle group for the days I work out on my own.
The nutritional guidance has also been really helpful- they helped me figure out my macros and the accountability from the nutritional meetings inspired me to stick with it.
Plus, the community of people I have gotten to know has been wonderful. I am definitely hooked and will be maintaining a membership!

I saw the six week challenge Instagram as an advertisement that be a great way to get the school year started. I signed up for my consultation and they measured me on the embody scale. After all that was done they hit me with an over $600 deposit which I wasn’t prepared for. I understand they have to protect their company but it was a little offsetting that they said it was free and now I have a deposit to pay. They said it will be returned to me once the program was completed which was part of my motivation to finish this program. I will agree the workouts are hard but they are affective. Both coaches that I worked with Mika & Santi are very knowledgeable as well as they will give you alternatives if you have limitations or injuries which was really important to me. Savannah that was my initial nutritionist who unfortunately had to leave the team after that the nutrition was kind of chaotic (which I understand they were doing their best to fill in the position) and it wasn’t as consistent as I would’ve liked it to be because I was really excited to focus on nutrition and really emphasize a lifestyle change. The facility kind of remind me of a high school training facility. I live in Nashville so getting the facility was really hard and since I’m a teacher rush-hour traffic was not on my side. I would often spend a half hour to get there in a half hour back. If you live in the area this is a great choice for you if you really want to kickstart a lifestyle change. I would say if you haven’t worked out before this place is definitely a place where you can learn as well as if they get a consistent nutritionist that you can learn from there.

I had been looking for something to challenge me, keep me accountable and also be a place I really just enjoyed working out/exercising at. Everyone I’ve met that works there is very nice and helpful. They want to push you to be better each and every class and it’s working. I feel stronger, healthier, and more fit in general than when I first started my 6 week program. I would definitely recommend this to people of all fitness levels. You will not regret trying out this awesome gym. 10/10 would recommend.

I joined D1 as part of the 6 week program. I am really happy with the progress I made in 6 weeks. I got clear idea about what to eat and how much to eat, what to eat before and after workouts.Coming to the workouts - it is tough! Its different each day and really challenge you.The coaches guide you to do the exercises in correct form and also to push yourself. The group workouts were intimidating at first, but everyone has been super encouraging and motivates you to do your best. You feel yourself getting stronger each day. Really glad I did this challenge.

I just finished the 6 week challenge and I feel like I have accomplished so much. I am an active outdoorsy person but as I have gotten older, I noticed that I was losing overall strength. I also have dealt with back pain on and off for years after surgery for a bulging disc 5 years ago. I had given up on running and lifting heavy things but the D1 workouts proved to me that I could do more than I thought. I was careful starting off to not do twisting motions or lift too much and would ask for modifications if needed but then as I got stronger, my back actually felt better. Definitely do the 6 week challenge! You will be so proud of yourself!

D1 is an outstanding facility with wonderful staff! My husband and I signed up for a 6 week program and loved it so much that we decided to become members for the long haul! The coaches are fantastic. They are knowledgeable, personable, fun, and they push you to do more than you think you're able. They make the workouts for you so you just have to show up and give it your all. The workouts are intense but do wonders for your strength, endurance, and overall physical ability. I would absolutely drag to a normal gym, but I found myself excited to return to each class to see how my strength has improved, to enjoy the energy of the coaches, and to see friendly faces during our classes. We've gotten to know some of the other members during our time there and everyone is very helpful and encouraging! We are SO GLAD we found D1, the best "yes" of 2021.

D1 is one of the best gyms out there! We just completed their 6 week summer shred challenge and I was able to gain 5+ pounds of muscle while lowering my body fat %! My wife and I did not hesitate to join as members! The staff, coaches, and facility are fantastic. The workouts are incredible providing training in every aspect to be an all around athlete. They were intentional to ensure we were safe while also being able to push ourselves past our limits. We loved every aspect of it especially the community with the other members and we would highly recommend for those who are serious about training and their health!

D-1 is fun, challenging, professional, and pristine. Facilities are top notch, the coaches and staff are highly competent, and the people you work out with are genuinely friendly and non-judgmental. I played team sports growing up and the D-1 experience reminds me so much of that: accountability, cheering each other on, and working toward results. I’ve always been nervous about attending a gym and thought I would feel intimidated. I was challenged so much at D1 but felt very accepted and encouraged in my workouts, and their coaches helped me work on my technique because I’ve never spent much time in a weight room. They pushed me to go harder and longer than I thought I could, and I can tell such a difference from when I started! Also, the 5 p.m. class is where it’s at!

D1 training is legit! The workouts are different every time and focus on developing you. Everyone is at a different physical condition in their life, but D1 will allow you to achieve the next step you want to take. No hand outs at D1, it is a grind, but well worth it. The coaches are great! Santi and Mika are both 5 stars!

I needed a change-up to my usual club routine to shake off the pandemic doldrums I found myself in. D1 gave me that and more.
The six-week program was intense - more than anything I was doing on my own - and I love it. The variations from day-to-day, the coaches, and the people sweating right next to you keep it fresh and interesting. It pushed me harder than I would've ever pushed myself.
Most importantly were the physiological changes I've already noticed in six weeks. My endurance is up significantly; body fat is starting to come off while my arms, shoulders, and legs are starting to "pop" more. But more importantly to me as a 50yo dad and husband - all the weird little aches and pains I've had from being pretty hard on my body over the years (hockey, mogul skiing, mountain biking) all started to go away. The work D1 puts you through involves plenty of warming up, mobility, and range of motion work that - along with the strength and core conditioning - had me marveling daily at day-to-day things I do that now no longer hurt, or where I just simply feel stronger.
Looking forward to continuing this path with everyone at D1!

This place is amazing! I walked in, having done traditional strength training in the past, and fully expected to have no issues keeping up. I was wrong! D1 really takes fitness to the next level. My goal was to try something new and hopefully lose some weight. The class format, which is lead by amazing trainers, in an awesome open-air facility, is a great experience. They preach it in their motto, you are not joining a gym, you are joining a team. Your classmates help keep you honest and the trainers and staff are there to guide you through each exercise. The hour-long routines are trainer led stretching, cardio, core/balance routines as well as weight training. I leave every session soaked in sweat and excited for the next class.

If anyone is looking for an exciting challenging workout look no further. D1 is by far one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to. Their coach’s are knowledgeable and encouraging. The members are like a welcoming family. Everything is clean especially the women’s restroom and shower area. The only thing D1 could use is a facility refresher. It’s not bad just some wear and tear.

I tried out a class at D1 and decided to join the 6 week challenge. Granted the classes are very challenging, but they are guaranteed to get you the results you are looking for with consistency and discipline. The staff at D1 is very friendly and personable, which is what really won me over. Also the D1 community is very encouraging, supporting and very uplifting. I went in with the mindset of just doing the challenging and calling it quits, but I will definitely be joining the D1 community as a member and I’m excited to see how my body will transform beyond the 6 week challenge!

I started working out at D1 Nashville 2 weeks ago, and I'm loving it. I attend the strength class at 0500 in the morning, and it's been great so far. Coach Santiago is awesome, and gives you personal attention in areas you lack or you don't have enough experience. The class itself is pretty intense with a great mix of workout for upper-body, lower-body, full-body and competition mode. I've never done strength training before, so getting to do it and being trained by some of the best people is really encouraging and motivating. I highly recommend D1 for those who are looking to try working out or stay fit in general. It's a great place to be in.
