During my recent evacuation from Florida due to the hurricane, I decided to visit family in Martin. While I enjoyed the small-town atmosphere and nature, I unfortunately had a disappointing experience at a local gym. After researching area gyms, I noticed this particular one offered a three-day pass, so I signed up to maintain my daily workout routine.

Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by a young lady at the front desk who made the sign-up process simple and pleasant. However, during my workout, I was approached by someone who I believe was the owner. Though he didn’t introduce himself, he began asking me questions, implying that I might be a student at the local university and claiming he had seen me before. He also mentioned that the three-day pass is typically reserved for individuals intending to join the gym. I had already informed the front desk staff that I was only visiting family, and she assured me that it wasn’t an issue.

Unfortunately, this encounter felt like an unnecessary interrogation based on incorrect assumptions. While I was able to complete my workout, this experience left me with no desire to return to the gym in the future.

Fitness 1440 is an amazing gym to say the least. All the equipment is clean and maintained well. The gym overall all is a fun place to be. All the staff members are very welcoming and willing to help with all your needs. There is a wide variety of “workout stations”. There’s a machine for everyone. On top of all the working out there’s a protein shake bar to help your gains. 5+ stars on my rating!!!!!

The gym staff is extremely welcoming and helpful! The layout of the gym is nice, there is something for everyone. I like that they have classes and open space for more individual workouts. I love how they use reusable cleansing towels and are eco-friendly in that way. They also have sweat towels for a more comfortable and clean experience. The bathrooms are also extremely nice and clean. I highly recommend checking this location out. I am visiting from out of town and bought their $20 week pass and it was money well spent. I am very glad I can continue my workouts away from home, especially in a gym like this.

The facility was spotless with plenty of clean, laundered towels and disinfectant spray cleaners. Excellent array of new high-tech machines and plenty of dumbbells and barbells (and chalk!) for the old school knucklehead powerlifters like me. I was traveling and decided to use the gym. What a great gym it was! They had so much equipment of all kinds. I used the functional fitness area which included racks, different sized barbells (not just Olympic weight) and every size of kettlebell. I even borrowed their “Wod” posted on the wall from an earlier class. They had a number of different rowers, an assault type treadmill, and even a jacobs ladder. Plus a whole other section of dumbbells and machines. Honestly, anything you could want. And I go to many different gyms. Bonuses: clean, stocked bathroom, smoothie bar, polite staff. This gym is awesome! Wish I belonged there!

I have a ton of photos from this gym, but they all include people and that just feels sort of strange, so I won't include any. But: suffice it to say the place is clean. The place is bright. The place is welcoming. The place wants everyone to be there - newbies to the workout world and gym rats alike. In truth, the only area where it suffers is space - and that isn't really something that's easily addressed by the owner. The place used to be a CVS and the square footage is what it is. There _has_ been very clever use of the space available, though. I would easily recommend everyone to join this gym. It's affordable, convenient, and has quality equipment and classes. Martin has a couple of options available, but this one is the best of the lot. Check it out if you haven't already!

Fitness 1440 is a great gym with all the equipment that you could need whether you’re wanting to focus on powerlifting, general weight training, or just go a few days a week for a walk on the treadmill.

The employees there have all been very helpful and knowledgeable about how to use the equipment, setting up programs for exercising, or even getting trainers in the gym on a regular schedule.

The owners are always cheerful and active inside of the gym and are both personable and professional with the members there.

You can get a 24/7 membership that’s affordable, the building is kept tidy and clean, and there are plenty of events to choose from whether it’s their 5AM or 5PM exercise with Ritchie (the owner), their cycling class, and so on.

I just started out last month with yoga to get my body moving again. I love it! The teacher is wonderful! She graduated at UTM and has her Certificate to teach Yoga. She is very knowledgeable about our bodies and explains the areas that we are stretching. She is fun and easy going, although we only do what we are able until we can work up to it. The machines work great and it’s a very clean fitness center. The staff here are very nice too!

It’s a great gym could be a bit bigger sometimes you catch yourself waiting for a spot at the dumbbells or for a bench and it could have a few more machines just for a different set or range of motion for a few things but I have never found a problem getting in all my working sets for any day I’m doing it’s just an amazing place to workout the workers are great and almost all the people who workout there are super respectful of space and it has a great gym community for any questions or to just chat about pr’s or progress

Full service gym with a variety of classes. Nice equipment. Great staff and trainers. I'm lovin it! Richie has been like family to me during my time at 1440 in Martin. Anytime I needed work out pointers or just a word of encouragement, he was there! 1440 will help with your dietary, fitness, and fun goals; all you have to do is ask! :)

Fitness 1440 Martin is amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They keep the facility clean for everyone. If you have questions or a need, then any one of the staff members will help you without hesitation. Fitness 1440 Martin is my home gym. After traveling to multiple gyms in the last year on vacations or business, I can say that those gyms don’t compare to Fitness 1440 Martin.

Come out and see Ritchie and the other staff members for a great gym experience and maybe it’ll become your home gym as well.

I wrote a review and then there was a reply and now it's gone so I guess I'll post it again. It's small, a nice place, but it is pricey compared to others. I do like that they offer a lower price one but, you cannot go on weekends and you can only go at certain times during the week. That's a little hard when you work during the day. The staff is super friendly. And the place is really clean. But if a Planet Fitness opened up in the area, due to the pricing I would be inclined to go there.

I joined the gym in June 2020 when they had the free payment month going on. I already lost quite a bit of weight which I’m not overweight and I’ve been taking a hemp seed pill. I was just looking to tone my body up and extra motivation since I was working out at home but I wasn’t putting in much effort into the workouts.

I enjoy mostly the classes. Right now I have been going to tami winstons body tone class and I love it. I sweat more than I did when I was working out at home. I even try to catch her real quick after class and get fitness and health tips. I like how in the class if your not doing a move the right way she will show you how to do it. I know one time my back started hurting while doing kettle bell swings and I told her about it and she showed me a different way to do it without it hurting. I use to run on treadmill because she had everyone run around rural king parking lot but now I’m out there with them running too.

Another class I take is refit with amy. I didn’t know it was a dance class until my first day when a lady in class told me. Her dance moves are not that hard at all. I was actually able to catch up very quickly as I continued to come. Amy sure does have some strong legs when it comes down to some dance moves we do and her energy always stays high which I like. That’s motivation for me right there!

I have noticed some muscles on my body start to change such as my arms seemed to be getting more definition which I do work at a factory so that could be helping as well. My underarm fat is starting to fade away some, my belly has been staying somewhat slim eventhough I’m still working on that. My legs were already muscular but now they are getting slightly better.

By far those are my favorite classes to go to. I still have some work in progress to be done and hope by continuing to go to fitness 1440 I will see the improvements on my body I’m hoping for.

I love working out here!! 💪. The equipment is kept clean and well maintained. They have a great staff working there thats always willing to help. Also try one of there shakes.. There amazing!

1440 is my favorite of all time. We travel & end up visiting other gyms frequently, but NOWHERE compares to 1440 in Martin. Plus, Richie and his team and insanely excellent.

The times that I went to the gym the service was great! Spin class was challenging and amazing! However, I was not informed that even when my contract expired I would still be charged. Apparently, you still have to cancel a month ahead.

Awesome gym! I started my membership at Fitness 1440 from the time they first opened and I’ve loved working out there! Friendly staff, clean atmosphere and top notch equipment! Also, it’s nice to be able to grab a protein shake after your workout!
