One on one training is the best way to avoid injuries and to work on your own particular physical goals. I personally want to keep moving and stay strong as I age. My trainer, Amanda is so great to work with. She is knowledgeable and creative when it comes to scripting my workouts. She asks questions and is especially innovative when adjustments are needed to "dial in" a muscle or to release any soreness. Bonus: when my trainer is unavailable or I reschedule a day, my personal workout program stays with me and I get equally creative perspective and attention from anyone filling in. Highly recommend personal training as an investment in your yourself.

I've been training at FT for more than 11 years. I'm obviously happy or I wouldn't stay with them.
I've had many trainers, and I'm especially happy with my current trainer (Amanda). She listens, she cares, she pushes, and she's aware of my needs, wishes, and quirks. She has built on the work of my previous FT trainers to build my strength and confidence. I'm very pleased with the results.
One of my goals is to throw a baseball with confidence that I won't re-injure my shoulder. My trainer before Amanda trained at USC (University of Southern California) and learned from a legendary baseball pitching coach. When he relocated to Colorado he transferred relevant knowledge to Amanda and she continues to encourage me. I'm now throwing against a target more than 60 feet away, without pain. I didn't think it was possible. The exercises, the training drills, the video review (including with the previous trainer) have had amazing results.

If you have a particular goal, make sure your trainer knows. They probably can't make you a professional athlete, but they can help you achieve physical goals and have fun doing it - regardless of age.

I have been weight training with 'Kel for almost two months now. Previously, I trained for eight years with a personal trainer in another state where I lived, so I have a point of reference for my experience at the Farragut FT studio.

I am consistently pleased with his care and concern for my overall health and fitness. His workouts help me to feel stronger and more stable. And, indeed, I have gained muscle, lost fat and weight just by working out with 'Kel twice a week and changing no other factors in my life.

FT is a great place to train and exercise your body. My trainer, Amanda, is amazing. She designs a program that focuses on areas that need improvement , then begins with warm-up exercises before zoning in on specific areas that can develop strength, toning, balance, and flexibility. My wife, Debbie, was a gym rat. She went to the gym 5 to 6 times a week. She had a stroke in 2023. She became a client of Fitness Together a year ago to get her muscle strength back. Her trainer, Will, is the best. He pushes her hard and motivates her. He is a very caring individual and is very knowledgeable. He is helping Debbie gain strength back in her right arm, that was affected by the stroke, so that she can hold our first grandbaby that is due in August. Signing up with FT was the best decision I have made regarding my health & fitness. The staff works closely with you in planning your schedule or any rescheduling that you may have (vacations, medical treatments, I.e). More importantly, my trainers AKA “my guys”, Kel and Will, have worked with me from the beginning, teaching me correct technique, while at the same time dealing any pain I was having due to previous surgeries and injuries. I am fitter than I was 40 years ago. Gautum Srinivasan is the newest addition to this site and has proved to me to be quite capable. He is always on time with a planned work out that is challenging He explains the reason behind each movement while watching your form, correcting when needed. I have been going to this Fitness Together location for a little over a month now and could not recommend this company more. I have been trained now by all of the trainers here but have worked most closely with Kel. He is extremely knowledgable and breaks down the kinesiology of each exercise. His experience in the health space and martial arts/MMA makes me feel that I am in good hands...and not to mention the added perk of incorporating boxing into our sessions to make working out as fun as working out can be. He is motivational, supportive, and energetic each time we meet and offers nutritional tips and tricks to accompany your individual trainings. I can not recommend him or this location enough!!

I have been working out at Fitness Together for nearly 10 years. The trainers have all been excellent! I want to give a special shout out to Melissa L. She’s a new trainer at FT she teaches Pack group classes. I struggle with a neuromuscular disorder that affects my mobility. Melissa took it upon herself to research my condition and design a custom workout program just for me. After only for personal sessions with Melissa, my husband has seen quite an improvement in my ability to get up from sitting down, as well as walking without holding his arm. I am excited to continue working with Melissa and to continue improving.

After understanding what my goals are, the team gave me a very good workout plan, plus great nutrition information based to help me meet my goals. Excellent team. I like the accountability and testing results that show improvement or decline, though sometimes non-scientific changes are the most noticeable and are important indicators. I like that I can openly discuss food issues and generally get fast resolution when something doesn't work as expected when it comes to exercises. The trainers really get to know the quirks of their client over time and can even spot a potential muscular failure before it occurs or the client even notices and swoop in to keep weights from smacking them in the face. Adapting the movements to the client's ability is key and they can usually answer questions immediately or point the client in the right direction to get an answer. If you pull a muscle or sprain your ankle, they'll keep you moving by adapting to what you can and cannot do. Overall, they have been pretty patient and understanding of illness, work, and personal related schedule changes, though it's important to understand that consistency is key to getting results. I like having work to do outside the workout sessions. When stretching or extra things are needed beyond the session they are recommended and while it is the client's job to follow through, they'll still see if it's done or not based on movements and ability changes over time. It is an investment, but it is worth it. It doesn't have to be a forever investment either. If you are just starting the fitness journey it can be a great way to learn things and carry them with you and start your momentum. 5 stars, would recommend.

Jan 24, 2023. I’ve been with Fitness together for a number of years and working remotely for the last couple years. My primary trainer is Mac Bowers and on occasion Austin Gilbert, both in Farragut. Mac is a consummate professional and is the primary reason I stick with FT. He is very timely in changing routines to focus on different body parts but also to adapt for different aches and pains I may have. He keeps me motivated and is very focused on my well being and has excellent advise for my general health. Occasionally I even listen. Joking aside, Mac has made a big and positive impact on my general health and well being. Austin has been my trainer several times and like Mac, is very professional and focused. I would not only recommend but encourage anyone to utilize Fitness Together’s services in Farragut. You’ll be better off and stronger for it.

Feb 18,2021. I’ve been working with Mac Bowers now for several years, remotely for the last year. Mac keeps me motivated, listens(except when you want to quit) and adapts you’re workout to your specific needs. He is very professional, cordial and keeps me going. I’m stronger and healthier because of his advice and expertise. I’d strongly(no pun) recommend Fitness Together and specifically Mac to anyone.

Round 2 - Remote-good workout with Mac again, especially given my limited weight selection at home. Mac again was able to tailor the workout to the limitations , and still leave me sweating and panting as I type. Thanks again

Update-just completed a virtual session at home via FaceTime. Mac still did the programming, training and moderated the session. They have the ability to use FaceTime, Skype, Facebook messenger, etc. With my age and this craziness going on, I really appreciate this service being available. It’s a great option, a good workout and I would recommend and encourage anyone to use this option. Many thanks to Mac and Andrew.

As a distance runner, my main fitness goals are outside the gym, but my trainer made strength training fun. I gained muscle that will help me race faster, as I fortified my core to help stop injuries. (As I get older, this has become much more important.) I've been a FT client for over eight years, now. While the trainers sometimes change, the caliber of the training stays constant. I initially started my journey with personal training three times a week to keep me in good shape for my law enforcement job. Since retiring, I have been thoroughly enjoying the collegial atmosphere of the Pack group training sessions. Our Pack trainers, Austin and Sarah, are wonderful! I could not love Sarah more! I have never been a fan of the gym atmosphere or working out in general. At 23 though, I knew it was important to start taking care of myself and my body. I have been doing virtual workouts with Mac Bowers and Sarah Miller for over a year now, and they are fantastic! We use FaceTime, and it’s just about as good as going into the gym. Mac develops my programs, and does an excellent job! He is great at adapting my program to accommodate any problems that I might be having. Mac puts me through my paces on Monday and Wednesday, and I get Sarah on Friday. She provides a nice change of pace, and is fun to work with. I highly recommend Fitness Together Farragut.

Mac at Fitness Together has gotten me back on track with a work out routine that is very effective and works various body parts for my over all fitness. He is very effective in keeping me motivated but yet pushes my physical limitations in order to make my muscles work harder. Since coming here for my personal training, my balance has gotten progressively better thanks to the fitness program and Mac who keeps pushing me to work my best. I joined Fitness Together in June and I must say I have been beyond impressed. The facility is well maintained and has all of the equipment needed for any level of workout. All the trainers that I have used are knowledgeable and very professional. With the evaluation procedure used, I have settled into a routine with my primary trainers, Sarah and Trey. Saying they are awesome is not descriptive enough! They have pushed me, yet both are open to my feedback. At my age, both knees give me trouble so the trainers have customized my workouts to reduce knee pressure and still provide me with the desired results. I am totally pleased with the improvement of my flexibility and core strength. I play a lot of golf so they have added exercises to improve my muscle groups used in the game.

Fitness Together has been a life saver for me. When I started at FT I was wearing 56-inch waist pants. Now I’m in 38s. At 44 I’m stronger and faster than I was when I played sports in my teens. Great place! I have trained with a couple trainers there (Dylan and Mac), both were great. They listened to me and delivered a workout that was specifically designed to help me meet my goals. They keep me going even though I complain and whine the whole time. I have worked out in several places around town and Fitness Together has provided me the most results. I am in really good hands, with the trainers at Fitness Together. My main trainer is Austin Gilbert, who is very patient with me, but still encourages me to do a little better each time we train. He is aware of some health issues that I deal with and adapts my training schedule to work around those issues. He is also a really good person and a joy to be around. Just finished my first FaceTime session with Mac at FT - Farragut. It was awesome! I used an iPad and he was on an iPhone. He could easily demonstrate specific moves and could see my form as I exercised. This option combined with daily walks means that my fitness isn’t neglected during the current stay home period. Several months ago I decided that I was completely out of shape, and that I had better do something about it. I had made many promises that I was going to start going to the gym, but I found every possible reason to keep me from a regular routine. One day I went to Goin Postal in Farragut to mail a package, and right next to Goin Postal was Fitness Together. Seven years ago I trained with Rufus at Fitness Together in Northshore. Six weeks after I stopped training there, I had a ruptured brain aneurysm and bacterial meningitis in the hospital. While I credit the Good Lord and the many prayers to Him, for my survival, I also credit Fitness Together, because the shape I was in helped me survive 3 months in the hospital. Still to this day, with a shunt in my head, and age 63, my Wife and I were scared that I could participate in rigorous training again. So I signed up for an18 session program, just to see if they could again get me in to shape. Mac Bowers at FT was assigned to me as my Fitness Trainer. Mac is considerably younger than me, but he has considerable patience and maturity, in dealing with an out of shape “old guy”. Two weeks ago, I finished the 18 session trial with Mac, and it was not a hard decision to sign up for an additional 24 sessions. No question about it, I am already in much better shape, and feel much more healthy. I would recommend Fitness Together to anyone that needs someone to help you stick with a program. Mac, Hannah, Katie, Steve, and owner Andrew Henderson, are a great Team at FT Farragut. Without their help, I would still just be an out of shape, old fat guy. This place is great. Because it is one on one it is personal, accountable and flexible. Unlike a lot of regular gyms, these folks are accustomed to working with "mature" adults. They know my limitations and fitness needs and develop programs accordingly. Anybody who has been trained by the typical gym's young one-time athlete, who thinks he is still working with young one-time athletes, knows what I mean.

I had knee replacement surgery 18 months ago. Andrew set up a fantastic pre-hab program that helped me get right through the recovery work. Since then they have worked closely with my physical therapy team to devise programs that strengthen without injuring.

Andrew and Dee are my regular trainers and they are fantastic. Jasen and Mac have trained me on occasion and they are also good.
